Totally agree. I think a lot of junk in the App Store is created just for the sake of being created. I'm not saying an App needs to be complicated or take five years to make, but it needs to have a great deal of thought and innovation put into it.

I always ask myself a few questions when setting out to do something creative.
1) How is this usually done?
2) Why is it usually done that way?
3) Can I do it differently?

If you can use your own unique approach on something you're automatically 10 steps ahead of everyone else.

Just read both posts, John. What a painstakingly, tragically humbling experience that NO one should ever have to go through. My heart breaks that the two of you had to live through this, but I am ever so grateful that you both did. Thank you for sharing your stories. Sending you lots of prayer and love and hope for peace. XO.

iOS has more polish to certain things, but they really have different strengths and weakness. I really don't think you can say one is better than the other, it all just comes down to what your looking for. The biggest disadvantage to android right now isn't android itself but the fact that the experience varies a lot from manufacturer to manufacturer. I'm on second android phone now and the only negatives two are all related to samsung screwing with things.

Kind of ironic that you slam the argument itself saying that it's old but then go on to defend iOS. ;)
