I still remember the day I got her phone call. I was listening to my messages when a girl came on explaining that her wedding was in about a month, she needed a wedding photographer, and she loved our work. Oh, and her name was Phoebe! The first thing I thought was, “Ok, what girl with a name like Phoebe wouldn’t be cool?!” So, I called her back, and we hit it off right away over the phone! She was so sweet and had such a laid back personality…I knew she would be amazing to work with! She also informed me that she would love to have a photo booth at her wedding where everyone wore fake mustaches to match her fiance’s handle bar stash and hold the number 11 to signify that they had been together for 11 years and were getting married on the 11th. I just knew I couldn’t resist taking the job! So, I penciled them in for that special day, and the rest is history! From her super cute and funky striped wedding dress, to his bow tie and a plethora of fake stashes, we had a ball!

Thank you, Aaron and Phoebe for letting me be a part of your special day! I loved every second of it!

When I first arrived on the scene, I was met with the groom attempting to tie his bow tie with an app that he downloaded onto his phone that morning! It was hilarious! Let’s just say that a half hour later he finally had it tied!

Then we went out to capture a few shots before the ceremony.

And the ceremony was short and sweet right in front of the lake. Couldn’t have had a more beautiful setting!

My Youngest One Yet! l bend oregon newborn photographer

When he was just under an hour old, I got the text I’d been waiting for! Dawson was here! You see, his mommy and I became friends about 2 and a half years ago when she was pregnant with her first little guy. Her and her husband came to me to get their prego pictures done, and the rest is history! No really, we quickly became friends as I got to meet and photograph her first little boy, and watch him grow into the cutest little toddler ever! Well, he’s now over 2 years old, and is the proud owner of a new little brother! I’m thinkin’ he may need a bit of time to fully fall in love with his new little brother (since if you ask him if he likes Dawson he quickly answers, “NO”.), but I’m sure that will change as all of us parents know what 2 year olds are like!

Soooo…meet Dawson…5 hours old. YES! You read it right. I got to meet him at 5 hours old! He’s definitely my youngest model yet. Congrats “J” Family, he’s beautiful!

I’m still on vacation and enjoying every minute of it, but just had to share one from a session I’m working on! I took this while on vacation at my parent’s house! I absolutely fell in love with this picture, and am soooo tempted to pretend that it’s my kiddos and blow it up huge to put in our living room! hahaha…(ok, i wouldn’t actually do that!) Oh, and I’ll be on vacation until August 16th, so if I’m a bit slower with phone and email returns, that’s why!

Check out this handsome little man! At just 8 days old, this little guy stole my heart! He was so patient with me as I moved his little hands and feet every which way. His mom and dad are just wonderful too! They had been trying for quite a while to have kids, and I must say that he was well worth the wait!!! Can’t get much cuter than this!

Ah, yes! I told you every session has outtakes as in the last post, but we always end up with so many amazing ones! You’d never know that these kiddos were even capable of outtake pictures! haha

Anyways, had so much fun with this beautiful family! I went out to their house on a nice summer evening to find 4 of the most hilarious kiddos ever! I then spent the next few hours balancing toys on my head, tickling, chasing and laughing! We had a blast, and by the end of the night, we were all wore out, but so happy that I had just made new friends!

Couldn’t resist posting a pic from last night’s sunset family session! And yes, it was this beautiful and serene out there…ok, minus the screaming newborn and passer-by’s stopping to stare at the bed in the river!! And yes, it was a bed in the river! And no, it didn’t just happen to be there! My wonderful hubby/assistant puts up with me like you can’t believe! You should have seen his face when I asked him if he could set up the bed in the river! He’s so wonderful and patient!

2 days new l bend, oregon newborn photographer

I LOVE going to the hospital and doing sessions with these wee little ones when they are just newly born. I think it’s because hospital sessions are so different from the actual newborn session that we do where we make sure that everything is perfect…lighting, poses, etc. At these hospital sessions, my goal is to just capture the moment. I want the baby to look completely new…whether it’s the cone shaped head, crossed eyes, or pealy skin. I love seeing Mom in her hospital gown or pjs and Dad looking like he could use another 20 hours of sleep. I love the love that is always so present in the room, and the way Mom and Dad look at their new little miracle.

And let me tell you, there was no lack of love in this hospital room! Welcome to the world, Baby Bronson!

Couldn’t get enough of ‘em…

I just couldn’t get enough of this beautiful little family, so we did two sessions! I made my way out to the “B” Family’s Sisters property early that morning so we could shoot getting the beautiful Central Oregon mountains in the background. I then went out again that evening so we could have that amazing evening light, their grass field, and gorgeous pond as our setting! Their little man was a tough one to crack, but I think we got a few smiles from him! Thanks, B Family for a wonderful day…I fell in love with your amazing family!

Just love this next one of mommy! Couldn’t resist throwing it in the mix…

Mom and Dad were so cute! After I took these shots, Dad said, “You don’t want to know what I told her to make her laugh like that!” Nope, I really don’t want to know!!

Grandma and Grandpa were visiting all of the way from the Ukraine. I couldn’t understand a word they said, and all they knew to tell me was “Nice to meet you,” but they had hearts of gold! They carried all of my props all over God’s creation that day…including that green couch! What saints they were!
