Damn he got ripped. This song is tight hopefully his next album will be as strong as he his. The Chronic 2001 is still a masterpiece and gets played to this day. The imagery in this video is awesome, especially love all the flashbacks. Eminem kills it with the verse on this track, I love it when he is on his game. The ridiculous HP ad placement is disgusting but hey take their money. Still waiting on the DETOX........

“We Can Make The World Stop” is the title track from The Glitch Mob's new EP, which just hit online retailers and independent record stores across the world on July 12 (yes, they press vinyl and support independent retailers). The band is nearly finished with their 35 city summer tour which has seen them selling out large venues from San Francisco's Regency Theatre to NYC's Terminal 5. Highlights include triumphant sets at Red Rocks, the US's largest festival EDC, a return to Lollapalooza and Sasquatch to name a few. Their last show of August sees them headlining in their hometown at L.A.'s Club Nokia this Friday August 19th. The trio will continue on a handful of US dates including The Langerado Festival before crossing over-seas to conquer Europe this October and November.

New Gear from Bleep Labs: Neon Indian

I have loved Bleep Labs stuff for awhile now. The Original Thingamagoop was an amazingly fun toy. Very expressive and always fun to play with. Now Dr Bleep has teamed up with NEon Indian to make this new product. Here are some details.

This limited edition mini analog synthesizer is based on the Pico Paso with a few modifications designed by Dr. Bleep and Alan Palomo of Neon Indian. The biggest addition are swappable controls which allow you to easily attach the included potentiometers or photocells (or a number of other devices we’ll post about later) in any configuration to the three oscillators to create all kinds of triangle wave chaos.

- Two triangle wave oscillators which can be activated independently or together, modulating each other.
- Square LFO which affects the amplitude of both triangle oscillators.
- 1/4″ out.
- Screw terminals allow any resistive device to control the pitch of the three oscillators.

I also am a fan of neon indian and am excited to hear his new record. The new single sounds very promising...

Coachella Line up was released yesterday. Not a fan of most of it even though there are some really good acts. Just wondering where all the bands I have been listening to for the last year are. Really think Kings of Leon suck and should not be headlining a festival with such a great history. Also not a fan of Kanye West and really don't think he fits the vibe of that festival. Not to mention he is a douche bag. Don't really understand why people have such a hard on for his last album. It hurt my ears.

Anyway good to see the Black Keys and The Chemical Brothers on opening night but you know they will be playing at the same time which would really drive me crazy. There are a bunch of bands I could see but since I live in NY I will probably wait until these acts come around. I am sure the Strokes and Death From Above 1979 will play NY. Anyway with ever new coachella line up I always go thru and check out all the artists I don't know. It is a good way to find some new music if you have the patience.......

Vitalic is one of those guys that doesn't come to New York often... which is a shame because he is one of the best. This unassuming French man is responsible for some of the most amazing electro you've ever heard: 'La Rock 01', 'Poney pt.1" and "My Friend Dario"are all classics... and he recently dropped an album with more amazing singles that made our ears pop... like this one, this one and this one). We've only seen him perform once before, and he was incredible. This is going to be a great night - don't miss it.

As I am getting increasingly excited over the idea of the ipad and Ableton live, I decided to do some searching on touch interfaces. In the upcoming years we are going to see more and more uses for touch technology. At first I was skeptical about the ipad, since having an iphone and a macbook book pro leave really no need for such a device. However if you think about how awesome it will be to use with Ableton live..............it is going to be really tempting. check out this new touch guitar I ran across

I have been listening to this record since it dropped earlier this week. This record is AWESOME. Serious energy and quality production. Probably the best electronic release this year in my opinion. I might be missing something but it is definitely better then the SMD album which was weak and the MSTRKRP record which totally blew. Anyway this is really worth buying or at least checking out. I haven't really dug any of the GBH events lately but this is on that might get me out. I really can't get excited to see a DJ anymore unless they are really amazing (using live gear, pushing the limits, sampling..etc). Most of it to me is just Scenester BS and I would much rather be my own DJ at home with my gigantic Itunes Library. That way I get to hear what I want and not what they think is cool. Also the drinks are a hell of lot cheaper and stronger. Anyway I just have been really disappointed with the so called NY electronic music scene. Which pretty much equals which DJ has the most friends and plays what's trendy. Anyway that is why I haven't really been out lately cause it is mostly all lame to me. I need a "live act" to get me excited and Holy F#ck should do just that..

New Air record leaked yesterday. I have been listening to it for the last 24hrs and must say its pretty good. Better then the last one which I could never get into for some reason. It is a good mix of tracks and is definitely worth checking out. more details.....

wow. this news came as a surprise to me. It had been awhile since I checked up on Hope Sandoval and I had feared that we would never hear her amazing voice again. Today however came the best news I have heard in awhile. I haven't really been excited by much lately except of course for BMSR and trying to get NIN tickets to bowery. Anyway Hope is probably my favorite female singer as her voice just soothes my soul. Here is the good news, hope you are all as excited as I am....

Just ran into this on one of my favorite blogs the Matrix Synth. Pretty cool stuff here....

loopqoob is a physical performance system consisting of one or more sensor-equipped cubes connected to a computer based music generation/synthesis system. The orientation of the cubes determines an aspect of the music to be played.

In the implementation presented, there are three cubes. Each face of each cube is mapped to a musical motif or loop. The 'cubist' controls which motifs are played by orienting the cubes so that the face corresponding to the desired motif faces up.

The excellent LA Riots are back to regale us with some good, solid, pumping electro. These guys have been remixing the likes of Ting Tings, Crystal Castles, Justice, Kid Sister, Chromeo, NASA - and it isn't difficult to see why all these artists are seeking LA Riots out - their remixes are hawt.

And we have a new discovery - Wolfgang Gartner - playing too. This guy has been producing the most sick electro-house that we've heard since Daft Punk. He's already been the #1 artist on beatport, and has been spotted by MSTRKRFT's management team who have snapped him up. His track 'Flashback' is a cast iron hit waiting to happen.
