London preview.first day impressions

finally in London. the flight went very smoothly and we arrived at the best wester hotel in lancaster gate around 4p.m. im loving the hotel, it's central, righ in front of hyde park, served both by bus and tube stations and with a very cool decor. London is very cold this time of the year and it's snowing, althought it is beautiful to see (tomorrow i'll show you some hyde park covered in snow photos). last night me and my brother went to Angel to have dinner with a friend at an indian restaurant (the food was amazing) and then to a pub with live music. im loving london its a fantastic city. more photos coming soon!

last wednesday me, pépa and our friend carolina decided to explore princípe real latest opening: Poison D'Amour, a french café-boutique beautiful decorated, with french music in the air and lot's of amazing sweets to choose from. besides the interior room, there's a garden super cosy (even with this low temperatures). i absolutly loved it and highly recommend it, the cakes are delicious and the all ambiance takes you directly back to paris and la vie en rose. . .

fashion inspiration is not only conveyed (not even should) by fashion shows and fashion designers. the proof is the huge amount of street-style websites, the personal blogs and if look even further the inspirations behind some collections, that may come for backgrounds as different as art, nature, technology, etc...for day-to-day fashion one of my biggest sources are tv shows such as gossip girl (a little bit over budget) and 90210 (the new, not the old). the different characters are transformed into different personas by their outfits and acessories, so the amount of possibilities is endless. here are some of the latest screenshoots of 90210 that inpire me!

the photo-posts here on the blog have been very few and the reason is my old olympus camera broke (actually i droped it on the floor). so after a lot of review reading and thinking i decided to buy the nikon coolpix p500. it came in a pack with the camera, a 4G card, a photography book and a online photography course.

although it's a bridge camera i'm amazed with the photo quality and the x36 zoom (!!), i would definitly recommend it plus the screen can rotate so you can shoot impossible photos!

im loving, loving it!

i think after H&M, Primark must be one of my favourite high-street brands. it's well designed and very affordable. you can get lost in their stores just because everything is so gorgeous! i wanted to share with you some of my favourite pieces i'm gonna try to get (i think i'm gonna come home with a lot more, but that's just a typical primark shopping-day)

i've been hearing lana del rey for sometime now and every time i do it i'm captured into this undefinided vibe by her voice and all her looks. it's a mix of sixties perfect lawns and houses with an american scent and a blurry motel and journey look . . . i can't quite explain the images i associate with her but is definitly like i'm watching one of those american movies where there's a girl and a boy in love and they decide to runaway in their car and they go through america, riding their roads, sleeping in those aqua coloures sidewalk motels...i give up...maybe its dificult to explain ones imaginary head but i can't stop imagining when i hear lana singing. and she is quite inspiring. she remainds me a little bit of bardot, a little bit of veruscha and a little bit birkin.

other lâncome collection i'm crazy about is rouge in love: a collection of lipsticks and a bright red nailpolish staring one of my favourtie fashion-icon-actress: the lovely emma watson. i love how she transformed herself and as evolved from a child to a very stylish girl

just the cases are per se adorable! definitly getting some pale shades and a bright red (mine is over for quite sometime now)
