<div class="he"><h3>Identification traditionnelle<br>des moutons de l'île d'Ouessant [Bretagne, Fr]</h3><h6>[[All stuff]] | [[Ouessant sheep]]</h6></div>\n<div class="w80"><h4>Introduction [[(Passer l'introduction)|Start]]</h4>\n<img alt="eussa" src="img/ee_w346/eussa_101c_w600.jpg"> <p class="textj">En septembre 1996, j'ai séjourné 3 semaines sur l'île d'Ouessant. <br> Selon la littérature, l'île se caractérise par ses phares, la force des vents et des courants marins à ses entours, les nombreux naufrages apparentés, et sa race de moutons nains… <br> Sur le terrain, cette race quasi disparue est remplacée par des moutons continentaux. Par contre le système traditionnel de marquage des moutons perdurait - le système de repères agrée <em>(plaque en plastique, poinçonnée à l'oreille droite)</em> n'étant pas fort adapté à la vaine pâture <em>(± 8 mois/an)</em>. <br> Le génie de ce système de marques d'identification m'interpella… or il restait fort mal expliqué… </p> <p class="citej"><h5>Le marquage des moutons<span class="ssc">1</span></h5> On a pu voir que chaque propriétaire reconnaissait ses moutons aux marques que ceux-ci portent aux oreilles. <br> Ces marques utilisées à Ouessant forment un système typologique assez complexe, connu dès la XVII<span class="ssc">e</span> siècle. <br> Elles consistent en entailles ou découpes variées composant autant de signes de base combinés entre eux et définis en fonction de leur position sur l'oreille.
