Words can not express how Grateful and Appreciative I am for what Ross Goldberg did for me the other day.

In a nut shell, Ross stepped up and made Great on someone else’s lousy behavior.

To fill you in on a few minor details, Ross was the event organizer and a speaker at one of his events failed to deliver what was promised and in the end, treated me rudely and unprofessionally.

The saga went on longer than it should have because I was fool enough to try and handle it myself and give this person the benefit of the doubt and many chances to make good on his promises.

After pretty much insisting on some form of refund and no longer willing to wait, I received the following email:

You will have to approach Ross Goldberg for a refund, since you bought through him, and he processed the funds. This should conclude our business, and please do not email me again.

Not thinking for a moment that Ross was responsible for this man’s lousy behavior and my bad experience, I was really reluctant to contact him.

Persuaded by some of my support group and one of my mentors, I contacted Ross and explained the situation.

Within minutes, like 6 to be exact, Ross replied to my email.

The rest my friends is history!

So, in an effort to express my sincere THANKS to Ross, here is my very first “in person” video ever!

Totally impromptu, late at night, after a day out and about in the rain - it didn’t have to be done perfect it just had to be said:

ROSS GOLDBERG YOU ROCK!!

Today on twitter I received an unsolicited tweet from a new follower that said, @quickreply BTW…Nice blog

Needless to say I was mortified!!

I politely thanked @ShowerThinker but felt the need to justify the obvious neglect of my blog.

And then it dawned on me - although neglected, maybe it IS a nice blog. After all, this isn’t the first time someone complimented me on it.

Totally aware that I am my own worse critic, and working on being a better friend to myself, I decided to stop beating myself up for not keeping up with my blog and start doing what needs to be done - Stop complaining, Stop worrying, Stop over thinking, Stop Stop Stop and TAKE ACTION!

Easier said then done! What I do know all too well, is what needs to be done to succeed online. Unfortunately, I’m constantly fighting the forces of poor time management and procrastination followed by the self loathing for not being productive.

What’s so frustrating for me is that I know with out a shadow of a doubt that I’m here for a divine purpose to share my talents and gifts in a really BIG way.

And so in closing I remind myself:

“Knowing is not enough we must apply
Willing is not enough we must do”
~Bruce Lee

Once you’ve established a decent business and reputation why would you not give a crap about your customer service?

Nothing frustrates me more then when I have to chase after customer support for answers. It seems that recently more and more of my business transactions have required making contact with customer service and my experiences have been really crappy to say the least. Is it common to receive such poor customer service or is it just that I’ve never had to seek out customer service before?

If you’re going to claim that you’ll answer inquiries and tickets within 24 - 72 hours I think waiting a week is more than enough time before sending a second email and/or support ticket. The really sad part - I’m still getting no response! And trust me these are not businesses that are new or unknown. These are business run and owned by reputable people that can be seen on social media platforms yet just have non-responsive customer support.

If anyone can shed light on such unprofessional neglectfulness, I would love to understand the thought process behind such thinking.

As I was sitting at my computer trying to get some work done I was easily distracted by Twitter. And from that distraction I found myself reading a new post on a new blog by Susan Preston.

I started to write a comment when it dawned on me that I could use what I was writing in the comments as material for my (neglected) blog and then use a trackback to Susan’s blog.

(I finally understand what a trackback is and how to use them. Another idea for a post, boy am I on a roll or what?)

So what was my inspiration for this post you ask?

First of all, Susan Preston wrote and shared from her heart! That alone was inspiring.

You see, I’m a true believer in:

It’s not so much “what” you say as it is “how” you say it; just as, it’s not so much “what” you do as “who” you do it with.

When reading Susan’s post, I felt sincerity, warmth and love in the words from which she wrote. Reading her post was like spending quality time with a good friend. And it was that feeling of being safe and comfortable among loved ones that inspired me to answer her question and write this post.

To answer Susan Preston’s question:

“So, if you could be, do or have anything that you wanted, what would it be?”

My first thoughts were surprising even to me. I don’t want to “be” anyone else. I’m Happy with who I am. And besides, if I did become someone else, I would no longer have “my” special people in my life - NOT worth the trade off!

As far as doing or having anything I wanted, immediately many “things” popped into my head, most of which were materialistic luxuries. And don’t get me wrong, I do like having toys and luxuries, they’re just not as much of a priority these days. Because in order to “have” you must “give” and in order to give you must take care of yourself - you can’t give something you don’t have.

And that brings me to my final answer:

I would love for people to live their lives with these 3 questions in mind:

Have you lived?

Have you loved?

Have you made a difference?

And . . . if you’re NOT happy with any of your answers - Do something about it!

I heard this from a man who almost lost his life and is now transforming the hearts, minds, and lives of others. With a brilliant mind and zest for life, Brendon Burchard, IS making a difference. If you ever get a chance to hear him
speak, without hesitation be there.

MANY THANKS to Susan Preston and Brendon Burchard!

For 10 days back in December of 2008 Ross Goldberg hosted a Virtual Masters Seminar that was like the Who’s Who of Internet Marketing. This Virtual Seminar had BIG name marketers overdelivering big time with great content. My brain was fried with all the information that was made available, not to mention the networking that went on. The event was rather impressive and if you want to read more about it you can visit the post here.

According to Joel Comm, on Ask.JoelComm.com, the answer to the all too popular question,”What’s the fastest way to make money online?” is . . . Go to a conference!

To hear the answer straight from the source himself go here and watch the clip.

I can tell you from experience (after taking Joel’s advice) that attending a Live event definitely has its advantages and I would highly recommend it to everyone. The quality of the content being delivered has always far exceeded my expectations.

However, for those who have never attended a live conference and would like a very similar experience, do yourself a favor and get yourself registered for the next Internet Marketing Masters Seminar. What you will learn, who you will meet and the endless possibilities of connections you can make will be well worth the small registration fee of less than $20.

Ross couldn’t have made it easier for EVERYONE to attend. With the comforts of your home as the designated location for this seminar there’s no reason not to attend. Conflicts with the scheduled time of the speakers, No problem - Ross took care of that as well. Every presentation will be recorded and available for replay until March 15th.

If you don’t think your business is worth a small investment of $20, you’re not saying much about your business.

Get more details and sign up for the next Internet Marketing Masters Seminar Now!

Six days into 2009 and I’m not proud of the fact that it’s taken me this long to make a New Years post to my blog. It’s obvious from my past entries that consistency with posting to this blog is not my strong suit.

I’m also still milking the holiday spirit and finding it a wee bit difficult getting back into the business routine.

Looking back at 2008, all I can say is that it was one of my toughest years in a long time. And while I had plenty of struggles and life lessons slap me upside my head, I finished the year with my head still above water. And for that I’m grateful!!

Ross Goldberg pulled off an incredible feat when he called in favors from his inner circle of friends and hosted the Virtual Masters Seminar. The Live virtual event took place during December 5 through December 14, 2008. Each day was jam packed with the Best of the Best in all different fields of expertise in internet marketing. To give you an idea of the caliber of speakers Ross was able to pull together for this event, here’s the list:

Ross Goldberg, Carrie Wilkerson, Coach Deb, Kevin Riley, Brad Semp, Lee & Robin Collins, Colin McDougall, Warren Whitlock, Yanik Silver, Erik Stafford & Alan Bechtold, Mari Smith, Joel Comm, David Preston, Mark Joyner, Kevin Nations, Stuart Tan, Simon Leung, Howie Schwartz, Michel & Sylvie Fortin, Matt Bacak, Andrew Sundstrom, Patric Chan, Ray Edwards, Bob Jenkins, Dan Nickerson, David Wilkinson, and Micheal Savoie.

So as you can see from the list, this was definitely worth the small investment of $10 for those who took immediate action and $20 for everyone else. Either way, Ross undercharged and overdelivered!

And it wasn’t just Ross who overdelivered. Every speaker I heard (still catching up on speakers I missed through the available replays) overdelivered with great content and actionable steps.

Yes they all had products to promote, but the special offers they put together for Ross to offer us were more than generous. As if their time, expertise, and tips weren’t enough. The only problem I had was deciding what and who I was to spend my limited funds on.

From what I hear, Ross plans on doing this again sometime in 2009. If he does, I would strongly suggest you make the investment and attend. Ross thought of everything when he put this event together, he had some of the most sought after speakers, a forum for attendees to network, chat sessions for attendees to network and ask questions, and replays to accommodate all schedules.

The Virtual Masters Seminar was an awesome event that was filled with out of this world speakers, offers, and new friends. I can not say enough good things about the Virtual Masters Seminar and Ross Goldberg.

Thank you Ross for an Experience of a Lifetime!

Always Grateful!

Are you guilty of putting off your work for later, only to find your deadlines steadily creeping up on you or even past due? Then you and I, my friend, are just like millions of other people who are afflicted by that nasty bug known as procrastination.

Procrastination is for me, the biggest reason for loss of productivity, increased stress, and sometimes late output. And as simple as it may sound, I know intellectually, if I just started my work on time, productivity would rise, deadlines would be met and I’d be less stressed in the long run.

Yet, since I started working from home I have found that putting off what needs to be done (business wise), has become more of a problem than I’d like to admit. While I know a lot of it is a psychological game, when I’m mentally off, it’s just too damn difficult to focus on my priorities and I end up doing everything else (even the most dreaded chores) other than what I’m suppose to.

If you’re at all like me, and you desire to shake off your inclination to procrastinate, then you have come to the right place. Here are a few tips to help you leave procrastination behind and become a more productive and reliable person.

1. Set Attainable Goals - It is very important that you have a list of goals that you want to accomplish every day. Daily, weekly, monthly and yearly goals are important to track your progress and see your growth. Beside the wonderful feeling of accomplishment every time you attain a goal or cross an item off your to do list, writing down your long and short term goals will help keep you focused.

2. Schedule Your Time - In conjunction with setting goals, allow yourself a set amount of “uninterrupted” time to complete a task. This will help you realistically budget your time and resources. The biggest mistake people make with regard to time management is that they don’t have any set plans for how their time will be spent. While a journal, organizer, or calendar of events will help you plan and schedule your tasks, a digital timer will help you committed to the designated uninterrupted time you allowed for each task.

3. Just Do It - If we all agree that there is no magic wand to wave and that if we don’t put forth the effort to complete the task at hand it will never get done, why do we insist on putting it off? If it’s on your goals for the day and time is scheduled for the completion of the task, stick to what you set out to do for the day and stay committed. There will be plenty of time for fun later.

4. Stay Focused - Before you start working for the day, eliminate all possible distractions such as shutting off your phone, closing your email, feeding your hunger, using the bathroom, letting the dog out and anything else that could possibly be a distraction once you get settled in to work. If you can stay focused during the “uninterrupted” time you scheduled for each task you’ll immediately see your productivity skyrocket.

Practice these four simple tasks and let me know how it works out. I myself plan on putting what I know about time management to use on a more consistent basis and keeping you updated with my progress.

As a person who has been trying to do it all herself for the last 10 months, I got to the point last week where I finally took a serious look at my goals and my progress and had to make a decision. Did I want to sink or swim when it came to making money online?

Without hesitation I knew my answer was neither sink nor swim but rather . . .

SOAR - above and beyond my wildest dreams!

With that being so, I came to some conclusions that would require a definite change in my game plan for success online. It is beyond the realm of my immediate skills and knowledge to successfully pull off and profit from my intended projects. And while I’ve known this for quite some time, I was confused as to the two, very different, schools of thought among marketers.

Any successful marketer will tell you that they don’t do the bulk of the work themselves but rather outsource and use virtual assistants (VAs). So outsourcing is an agreed upon strategy among marketers. Their point of views differ on, whether you gain the experience first by doing it yourself before actually outsourcing the task so you’ll know if it’s done right or outsource what you lack in knowledge and/or experience and just let someone else do it.

I followed the path of, “do it yourself first” so you’ll know if it’s done right and so you’ll be better able to train your team. While I gave it my best shot, it just wasn’t working for me. I started becoming frustrated and with that, thoughts of self doubt began sneaking into my mind. I had to put a stop to the negative chatter going on in my head so flipped the coin and went the route of just let someone else do it.

I officially hired the first two people of my new “team” and I’m really excited about what lies ahead. I have no doubts that this is probably one of the best strategic moves I’ve made yet and promise to keep you updated with the progress of my team members and projects.
