Hey y’all! It’s Callye, from The Sweet Adventures of Sugarbelle! Kim asked me to share a fun Valentine cookie idea that would go well with one of her FREE Valentine printable cello toppers and I chose ROBOTS! {Her oldest is in LOVE with them!}

Do you have a little one that just LOVES robots? Then you’re going to love this cute little cookie idea. The best part is, they are made with a cookie cutter you probably own, a HEART!

To make these you’ll need:

• Gray or white piping and outline icing
• Black flood icing
• Green and red piping icing
• Wilton Silver Pearl Spray
• Pre-made royal icing eyes

Begin by outlining and flooding the cookie in sections. For help with outlining and flooding, come see me!

After outlining the cookie, flood alternating sections being sure to wait about 20-30 minutes between touching areas to give the cookie a dimensional look. Continue filling this way until the cookie is completely flooded. Let the cookies dry overnight.

The next day, add rivets to each section of the cookie and let dry. Then use Wilton pearl spray or lustre dust to make the robot metallic. Want tips on making your cookies shine, come see me!

After the spray has had a few minutes to dry, fill the face section of the cookies with black flood icing and quickly drop in the pre-made eyes.

Let the cookies dry once again, for a few hours. To finish up, use a small icing tip such as a PME #1.5 to add a mouth and heart detail.

When the cookies are dry, you will have adorable little robot treats, perfect for your little Valentine!

My birthday is just a week away… let’s just say 29 plus a few years {wink}. So when Amy of This HeArt of Mine sent her and her husband’s dual DIY 30th birthday party over, I just had to share. She did such a fabulous job!

Starting with the DIY invitations (see all the how-to and resources), Amy used glassine bags and confetti. I love a bright invitation to get guests excited. How could someone decline this invite?!

Next she made some lovely decorations, like this $2 cupcake stand. Very versatile and did you catch… only $2!

Plus a smart branch and glass globe centerpiece (get the how-to).

Now on to all the yummy food Amy prepared!

Pretty Chocolate Buttermilk Cupcakes & Ganache and Vanilla Cupcakes & Vanilla Frosting with chocolate transfer hearts.

 A bright Cranberry-Limeade party drink.

Fabulous appetizers including  Pastry Wrapped Creamy Chicken Squares, Party Crock Pot Cheese Dip, and Mustard Vegetable Dip. It all looks so yummy!

And what is a party without favors?! Amy sent all her guests home with fudge packaged in clear cups wrapped in clear cellophane and tied with pretty little personalized tags she made herself in Word.

My little one celebrated his “half” birthday at preschool today (Back story: At his school, if your birthday is celebrated in the summer months you can have a “half” birthday so you get to celebrate with your school friends.) and so I of course asked him what theme he wanted (it’s a very small celebration, only 15 minutes… but still… this is what I do.)

And he responded that he wanted a Harry Potter Wii game party. Hmmm… Well, since I couldn’t pull that off in 15 minutes I asked him if he would be interested in Wii remote Rice Krispies Treats instead. He giggled and screamed yes! So Wii remote Rice Krispies Treats we made!

Here’s the inspiration…

So super simple. We just made regular Rice Krispies Treats, with Smart Balance butter since he has food allergies (or you could use the Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Treats in packages and cut them in half if you want minis and no food allergies, they contain dairy), outlined the rectangles and flooded them with Pillsbury icing (also dairy/nut/egg free), added the plus control and the name Wii in blue icing and finally a dot candy for the on button.

I started to add more detail, but it just got crowded since I made them half the size of the real thing.

Perfect for a “half” birthday in preschool and perfect for any gamer party you might be planning! {wink}

Hosting a Super Bowl party this year?! Download my wrappers and mini pennant banners, updated from my original Snackpicks.com article, for the two winning teams: NY Giants and New England Patriots. I confirmed that the Giants will be wearing their away white jerseys (white chevron wrappers) and the Patriots will wear their blue jerseys (blue chevron wrappers). You can use them all, or just your favorite team. The set also includes a 11×17 football field mat and a 11×17 green grass chevron mat (great for a backdrop for your stadium). 

Crafting the printables is simple. I recommend card stock for the wrappers and pennants, but you can use regular printer paper if you like. Secure the wrapper loosely around a cupcake liner with double sided tape or hot glue and fill the wrappers with snacks. For the pennants, wrap the diamonds around a toothpick and secure with an Elmer’s glue stick.

Next, grab a wire spice rack for your stadium and set up your fans! I chose Cheez-It crackers for my snacks and I picked up my wire rack at Target!

Have you ever had those chocolate dipped frozen bananas at an amusement park?! If not, let me just tell you that they are fab-u-lous!

Well, this is a twist on that traditional frozen treat.

Here’s what you’ll need: pink melting chocolate (all kinds of colors are available at your local craft store, I picked these up at JoAnn Fabric & Craft Stores), granola, bananas and wooden sticks (I also picked these up at JoAnns in the wood working section).

And here’s what you do: Cut your bananas, freeze them for at least 2-3 hours, melt your chocolate in either a double boiler or in the microwave (in 8 second intervals until smooth), dip and/or spoon cover the frozen bananas, roll in granola and refreeze for another hour.
