Secret To Embracing Real Power

Have you ever felt like quitting? Absolutely, it’s only natural. In one way or another at some point in your life you felt like calling it quits. That was the theme of our last Charge Station.

It boils down to the unexpected surprises that are completely out of our control. Frankly it’s about our egos, when we are deviating from our true purpose or when we are surrendering to the vanity of our egos instead of tuning in to the beauty of our true purpose, we are inviting the universe to kick us where the sun doesn’t shine.

Therefore, I’d like to share the nights verse #53 from the TAO:

The great Way is easy,

Yet people prefer the side paths.

Be aware when things are out of balance.

Stay centered within the Tao.

When rich speculators prosper

While farmers lose their land;

when government officials spend money

on weapons instead of cures;

when the upper class is extravagant and irresponsible

while the poor have nowhere to turn-

all this is robbery and chaos.

It is not in keeping with the Tao.

Allow this verse to remind you, that your goal should be to ALWAYS know your true purpose so that you live a life that allows you to share the BEST of yourself with others.

True power is not about getting your way when you want or how you want. It is about humbling yourself to the divine intelligence that reminds you that YOU are much greater than a mere moment of experience.

You are not defined by a singular event in your life, your real power lies in knowing that you can reinvent yourself whenever you want. Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery but today, is a gift and that’s why it’s called the PRESENT.

When you get up out of bed in the morning.. Say … “I AM _________________ “,

complete this phrase to describe the person and the qualites you wish to highlight.
Example:

“I AM a great”

“I AM grateful”

“I AM supercharged”

“I AM loving and caring”

All who live in happiness are welcome. There is always uplifting music and great deals on food and beverages. You don’t have to wait for the weekend to feel GOOD. How does it work? By uniting awesome people whose mission is to be happy, you begin to experience the full meaning of EMPOWERMENT. From the partner venues that understand the value of happy customers to the diverse group of professionals and entrepreneurs that attend, each Charge Station is a unique and amazing experience! It is awesome to hear all the positive feedback from guests whether it has brought a guest an excellent client, renewed energy at work, or a new hope in their love life. You See?! Saturday nights are so over-rated. Happy hour is the NEW “nightlife”. In bed before midnight and you wake up ready to conquer the world.

Tia Johnson, the author of “To Be Goddess” told the audience at the last event how thankful she was for meeting Derek Bailey (of WolvertonBailey, Inc. and PRIVLIV) at The Charge Station. She explained how this connection proved to be of great value the moment she was faced with a bad business deal. Tia had rented a space for her upcoming workshop and just days away she found out the venue had pulled the rug from under her so she reached out to Derek and thanks to the space provided by PrivLiv , they celebrated a huge success!

Networking is best when its FUN. Here’s an example account of events from a Charge Station energy magnet:

“Through a mini break out session, I made a valuable connection by asking the question of the evening, “When was the last time you danced naked?” Yes, the hostess with the mostest, Olga S. Perez instructed us to ask our group that question. Talk about an icebreaker! I love receiving the motivational speech in the beginning, whether it’s from Olga herself or from a guest speaker. We have a dance party at the end and cheers to the good life! Overall, this event is what you make it. Authentic business and personal connections can be made by just showing up.”

Well said! With this much positive energy, YOU WILL forget your worries, and YOU WILL feel empowered just by being plugging into the infinite energy that is all around. Yes, thats right!

“LOVE IN THE AIR”

The greatest gift you can give yourself is love. That’s what it was all about at the latest Charge Station. The love in the air was palpable. Spirits in hand, energy magnets unite, it happens organically with a room filled with some of the nicest people around. In a sea of smiles and plates filled with mouth-watering calamari… comes the main surprise of the night, a networking icebreaker game. Groups were brought together by color cards given to all guests at check-in not knowing what they were for… and BOOM, now they knew! New energy emerged from the random selection bringing complete strangers together asking them to talk about the night’s topic, Love …and guess what? They did…Extensively! After about 15 minutes of spirited group discussion Olga S. Perez delivers a heartfelt, passionate, and energetic talk about Love and Happiness.

As quoted by Olga:

When you love yourself, you WILL be happy, no matter what other love is/isn’t around you.
Always envision yourself as a Queen/King, not a Princess/Prince! You are the “captain” of this journey called life.
If someone is a jerk, it’s because they don’t love themselves. Tell him/her “God Bless You”, and move on!!
Thank the person who broke up with you for getting the hell out of your way! Your life only has room for people who truly love and appreciate you.

So passed another installment of The Charge Station (TCS), and we’ve already heard from many of you that this one was the best one yet! The Charge Station delivered, again, that JOLT of empowerment to take home and implement in our lives. As always, the people who showed up were treated to friendly faces (soon to be connections), an electric atmosphere brimming with positivity, 3 hours of food and drink specials, and the wise words and fiery passion of the founder/ lifeblood of TCS, Olga S. Perez.

Her message this week addressed the topic of sadness and happiness (because you cannot have one with out the other). She talked about how sometimes we feel so powerless to the overwhelming weight of life’s misfortunes, and why turning to temporary reliefs isn’t the solution. Olga told a story of a time in her life where she use to drink to drown her sorrows, which provided a temporary relief, but only until she learned how to confront her issues or rather, drowning them. She had a vision of her future helping her realize the futility of what she was trying to accomplish. She was trying to drown her sorrows, but she soon found out how great her sorrows were at swimming. The only way to control our sorrows is to understand that WE HAVE CHOICES! And to combat what makes us sad, we must make 3 choices:

1. We must CHOOSE to be brave, when all hope seems lost.

2. We must CHOOSE to confront life’s challenges, when overcoming them seems impossible.

3. We must CHOOSE to stay positive, when everything looks bleak.

Realizing that we can control our sorrows is a huge step towards picking our sorry selves up, dusting off our shoulders, and getting back to living our lives!

Have you ever felt that your “batteries” were running low and that you could use some positive energy in your life? Olga Perez has just the jolt of positivity for you. It’s called the Charge Station. Every Charge Station event is held at a friendly, local bar, and brings good people looking for positive energy together to enjoy extended happy hour deals, exchange business cards, and listen to a motivational guest speaker. Olga’s mission is for all people who came to the event to leave feeling energized and with at least one new idea that they’re going to implement into their lives. This past week’s Charge Station event did not disappoint in energizing its attendees and certainly gave them several idea to try and implement.

Guest speaker Erica Wexler, a self-proclaimed Change Facilitator, talked about the difficulty of making tough decisions and gave a couple tips on how to feel more confident about one option over another. According to Erica, when stuck in the middle between two seemingly equal options, we sometimes get so stuck that we end up not making a decision at all, and both options slip away. She suggests tapping into your natural feeling from each option. “Trying on the sweater”, so to speak, and really envisioning how it feels to “wear” that option a week, a year, or five years down the line. “Does the option make you feel suffocated, smaller or feeling like you’ve lost your voice?” She says that after “wearing” that option, you should feel like you have some breathing room, and that everything is going to be ok. And while you can’t know what the end result is going to look like, you can at least make a decision and head into that decision with confidence. Equally as important, according to Wexler, is being kind to yourself as you make these tough decisions, cut yourself some slack, and just know that you’re doing the best you can.

By the end of the day plenty of positive energy had filled the room. Nearly everyone in the bar had to been introduced to one another, many by Olga personally introducing them, many business cards had been exchanged, and several ideas for giving your life that missing jolt were shared. The next event will be held at Slate at 102 s21st Street, on Wednesday, January 13^th. “Gifts that keep giving”

November’s guest speaker “RevBev” of the Incarnation institute gave interesting insights about sex and religion. The expectation was as diverse as the crowd. Watching the guests participate in an open and uncensored discussion on this topic was quite a treat. The younger adults were mesmerized and enlightened by the response the older guests had to her insights. Age does not change the social stigmas surrounding the topic. She explained that the word ”love” in the bible was meant to be physical in meaning rather then the emotional meaning we use today. The reverend was so nonchalant about giving sex toys as gifts and prizes. We are still laughing about it! It was so much fun being open with each other. We watched how people gathered and made real connections through discussion. Networking at The Charge Station happens in many ways.Our host Olga, enthusiastic about the topics of energy and competition, and how they relate. She kept the night going with her insight about energy and how you feel when you walk into a room with good energy vs. negative energy. She talked about “competition” and how it can be a positive in our lives when you compete for the fun of it (i.e. enjoying the game win or lose – that simple).

It was fun and inspiring watching one of the guests completely let loose on the dance floor, giving up all inhibitions and making everyone want to do the same. One single individual showed the rest how to be fearless and step out of your comfort zone, The Charge Station style!

Along with the DJ playing an uplifting mix of music, D’Angelos lounge had really fun laser lights and a fog machine. It was like being at a nightclub, but at happy hour! To top it off, they gave complimentary homemade Sicilian pizza! Mmmm…mmmm…so good! There is always delicious food at D’Angelos.

Inside the cozy and comfortable Cappelli Brother’s Lounge at our last TCS event our host Olga and guest speaker, Austin Haines, spoke real and true words that made you feel like you could be the next LeBron James or end world hunger.

Our host Olga started off with a reading from Tao te Ching 74, which stated there is no use in worrying and trying to control our future. The present is our moment, trying to take over something that is out of your control, will only extinguish your energy. Olga explained that all things change and once we accept that reality, there will be nothing we can’t achieve.
Then Austin fed off of her energy and rolled with it! When he spoke, you didn’t just feel like your dreams and life goals WERE possible but after he explained how it is a mindset you must have, you knew it IS possible. People chimed in when Austin explained certain moments in his life were he didn’t have the mindset, and people were able to relate. That was the important part; we were able to RELATE.

The drinks continued and the music played after Austin spoke; good vibes had risen to a higher level. Passersby said, “Man, I wish I was there” while TCS member’s faces spoke for them, “I’m happy I’m here.” The night carried on, the music played, and our attendees dance their hearts out. If only we could all compete with the two professional dancers that came, then and only then, would the night have been complete…

Network over drinks with people from all over while also listening to insightful and unbelievable speakers. The Charge Station is just that, a place where we charge, ignite, and spark meaningful conversations that will benefit your business, personal, and/or social life. Mingle while listening to this month’s speaker Rev. Dr. Beverly Dale talk about sex and god. Two words you usually don’t hear in the same sentence… Get empowered, get connected, and get charged up November 11th at D’Angelos Lounge. Happy hour starting at 6 p.m.

“The jaw dropping question”

Here’s what happened during the event…

the host Olga S. Perez started up with an inspirational speech sharing her personal life experiences. She focused on not allowing negativity to strike her/you down.

The guest speaker, Melissa Lynn Christian sparked up the event with an interesting topic that had the crowd up and moving. Christian had the guest’s full attention encouraging many to engage in an uncensored conversation about the dominant and the submissive. This woman had the guests going into entertaining and educated debates.

Next, Reina Lopez (aka energy magnet) charges up the crowd, getting them up and moving to the beat of “The Cha Cha Slide”. As she had us LOL trying to keep up with her… a sudden interruption (total silence) how?! why?! The music stopped right when we were so charged up. The culprit? Mercury Retrograde. Ugh!… Oh well, ces’t la vie! With all the positive energy in the air, nothing could stop the crowd. Everyone was full of energy, ready for another round, and so we did!

After laughing a lot and shaking our booties with our arms up, we go into a suspenseful reading out of numbers for our raffle prize giveaway, two of them! Yayyy!! The prizes? A book and a 1-hour private session with the guest speaker. The tension was building on which prize to choose… it was a “juicy” moment. Everyone was having a blast play fighting for the raffle prizes.

Dinner menus are also available from Finn McCools restaurant which is connected to Room12. The restaurant is more than willing to serve our guests additional food if they want something other than what is on the specials menu.

We want our guests to be informed that The Charge Station is a happy hour event, but we want our guests to know that it is very important to network their businesses. The Charge Station is not only about entertainment, but it is also about networking. That is one of our key principles here at The Charge Station. We always have a desk at the front where we encourage our guests to leave their personal or business cards to give them the facility to network.

Meet Austin Haines Oct. 14th.

Austin is the creator and founder of the nationally known inspirational coaching program called Free Will Dream. As a Certified Strategic Interventionist, Austin has hundreds of hours in formal Life Coach Training. More importantly, he has thousands of hours in real life training. He has worked with people from all different social and economic backgrounds, helping them to gain clarity and take action on their dreams. His mission is to help people increase their belief in what’s possible and inspire them to fulfill their life dream. Although Austin had a successful life, he realized that he never pursued a Life Dream. He shortly learned that over 80% of people, never even pursue their dreams for various reasons. A Night Of Fearless Fun

As the upbeat music played and the drinks continued to flow, the upper level of Room 12 Lounge on 12th and Sansom looked like any typical happy hour. This was different though – this was happy hour with a purpose. That became clear as soon as Olga Perez, founder of the Charge Station, took the microphone. Addressing the crowd she described to them the purpose of the event. Yes, it was to socialize and enjoy a drink (or two) but it was also to leave feeling empowered and – as her new theme song boasts – unapologetically happy.

Perez was joined by guest speaker, sexologist Susana Mayer, Ph.D. Her no holds barred talk about sex and its different interpretations led to an engaging discussion where people felt comfortable enough to ask some of their most personal questions in front of a crowded room. As the night winded down, a sense of community could be felt in the room. People were branching out, talking to strangers and learning what it really means to be empowered.
