Take Advice

Everybody has advice to offer. Why not listen? Everyone is essentially living for today, but we have our past, present, and future to go off of. Living with a past, present, and future we truly only have today. Please do not exclude past, present, or future for where you are today :).

All of us have made decisions for ourselves for where we stand today because of advice. Whether its our own or somebody else's. We stand where we belong today because of our past decisions. With our own decision making we inherently come up with our past, present, and future. Essentially we conform to advice. We conclude these decisions with the combination of social interaction and experience. These are two separate entities. However, I'm talking about advice or social interaction; Where you learn from other peoples mistakes/achievements and not your own. This factors in where one stands today.

Of course we are going to learn from others mistakes/achievements and our own, but other conscious beings are going to influence our decision making. Decision making I believe makes up our Character, and it says a lot about a character. We can take the right advice to make the right character or the opposite advice to make the wrong character, or we can refuse to take any advice at all. Either way we are taking advice :) which we all know exist because we're not stupid.

When one takes or rejects advice from an elder, friend, or family member it essentially blossoms into something. We all can recall a time where we say to ourselves, "I should have taken that advice, or I'm glad I didn't take that advice, or why wasn't I given advice".

Next time someone gives you advice, consciously think about the content of it and find a way to make it work for you. People give advice because its a situation they've been through and they notice that you are in the same situation. Advice to me is a social helping mechanism.

I've caught myself recently giving advice that I haven't given to myself. I need to take my own advice. Advice is important; Why not listen?

Hello, my name is Michael Miller. I chose the name Conscientious Man because I am very goal oriented. Like my good friend Christopher Pine, I am an advocate of the philosophies, sciences, religions, and life. So I feel that I have a goal to figure out some of the more difficult/easy things in life. I am just like everybody else and I also have the same questions. Hopefully when people read my posts they'll identify with them. If not then I still appreciate their time. Because after all, time is all we have and we value this precious resource.
