Okay, so I was right about the involvement of 'The Sun' in the phone hacking scandal and that flame haired Rebekah wouldn't keep her job past the Full Moon and certainly the implosion if not the collapse of the Murdoch Empire seems to be well underway just over a week on from my last post, but what else do the planetary cycles show? Where will all this end? As I said before, the first weeks of August look dire for 'Rupe' and his hegemony. There's still more to come to light. However it is the very sinister turn that this epic tale of power, greed, subterfuge and corruption has taken this week which warrants the most attention.

Remember my comment about us reaching a pivotal phase in the Venus/Pluto cycle just as this scandal all came to a head? I mentioned that this particular aspect is strongly associated with 'underworld' type activity. What better way to send a warning shot over the heads of anyone who might possess information which could topple or expose those in positions of power than to bump off the main whistleblower, Sean Hoare? It's a scenario straight out of a Mafia style movie - except this time it's for real.

Mr Hoare we might remind ourselves was a self confessed drug user - according to this article - so was it, perhaps the bigger fear in corridors of power that if he was willing to speak out over the endemic nature of phone hacking that he might also choose to expose the drug habits of others - or nefarious practices (financial, sexual or otherwise)- which might be even more frowned upon than hacking? (It would certainly be in line with the planetary aspects). If so, isn't a logical extrapolation that there would be many people who would prefer he was indeed silenced.

I am not for one minute suggesting the direct involvement of the Murdoch's; NewsCorp or their subsidiaries in the death of Mr Hoare but there are many people around the globe for whom the mere possibility of the demise of the Murdoch Empire or share price collapse would lead them to wanting Hoare gagged - permanently. Plus, if Sean Hoare had persisted in his claims that Andy Coulson had sanctioned the use of phone hacking whilst Editor at the NoTW prior to his being appointed as Director of Communications for the Tory Party and Prime Minister, and if it was subsequently proved to be true this could eventually topple David Cameron.

Although Coulson stepped down in January, there would be calls for the PM to step down due to the implicit lack of judgement in his decision to employ Mr Coulson and his closeness to News executives caught up in this scandal. This, too, at a time when the European economies are balancing on a knife edge. Severe political upheaval in the UK at this critical juncture could be the straw that breaks the camels back as it makes the markets so jittery.

The really big fear that has surrounded this case however is none of the above but rather that it might come to light that NewsCorp journalists may have been involved directly or indirectly in the hacking of the phones of 9/11 victims. If just a scintilla of evidence was ever located about hacking on US soil this could result in huge lawsuits against the Murdoch Corporation and bring the whole empire to its knees almost overnight. Without the support of Murdoch printing what Governments want us to hear - God knows we might hear the truth and that could spell political armageddon! So with that in mind is it just a coincidence that Sean Hoare spoke only last week to the New York Times about how easy it was to hack into phones and then ends up dead??

Of course it could always be that Sean Hoare's death was just a coincidence...! What do you think? Was Mr Hoare 'bumped off' like (as some allege) David Kelly and Christopher Shale, or is the truth likely to be mired in speculation, smears and mistruths for years to come? We have no way of knowing for sure other than the expected coroners report - which will of course say that it was natural causes - but what the planetary cycles tell us is that the days of cover-ups are over and the days of huge revelatory scandals (Neptune in Pisces) are in. As I said last week it may take a while for the whole truth to emerge (as we have planets going retrograde now) but emerge it surely will and we can be sure that the whole face of the 4 P's is about to change - Politics, Press, Police and even Private Investigators!

Birthday of Neptune and the Murdoch Empire Crisis

Across the globe today, 12 July 2011, you will read the headline Happy Birthday Neptune. The story is that Neptune has completed its first 164.79132 year orbital period. This seems straightforward enough, after all NASA says it's correct so it must be. Yes?

Well, not always. Remember that debacle I flagged up in 2010 when NASA spokesman Dr Tony Phillips made a startlingly wrong call about the last time there was the coincidence of a Lunar eclipse on the Solstice? I discovered after a bit of research that he was more than a few hundred years out! I wrote to him, he changed it but every media outlet still ran with the incorrect data. It always pays to double check the 'experts' as no-one is infallible.

Yesterday, my Scorpionic desire to ferret out the truth led to an interesting bit of fact finding regarding this 'birthday' of Neptune. I ended up reading the astronomical computations of a very clever man known only as 'Bob' and it transpires via Bob that Neptune's birthday was yesterday. Okay, so it's only a day out but its orbital period was completed at 21.48.and 26.6 seconds UT on 11th July 2011 which means that all the other sources, some of them very highly regarded, are wrong.

To keen cycle watchers like myself Bob's blog post was utterly fascinating not least because I learned all about the Solar System barycentre - but also because he unearthed an absolute gem for astrologers. We always try and seek out precise times in order to cast accurate charts and Bob had posted (and I hope he won't mind me reproducing it here) a link to the table for the moment that Neptune was discovered - and he even converted it into Universal Time for us. The data appeared in the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, Vol. 7, November 1846, page 155:

What this means is that even the industry renowned Skyscript site is carrying the wrong astrological chart and data.

The time for the Discovery of Neptune ( which was actually first seen by Galileo on 28 Dec 1612 and noted as a star) should in fact be 23:06:40.0 U.T. on 23 September 1846.

So this shows us that Neptune was discovered at 25 degrees of Aquarius (Celestial longitude) with 29 degrees of Cancer rising. It also shows that today, 12 July, Mars is transiting the position Jupiter occupied on that day in 1846 - and what does the transit of Mars to Jupiter portend? Huge international publicity.Obviously Neptune is being widely publicized today but also it got me to thinking about this...

Neptune has terrestrial correspondence to scandals, rumour, spin, gossip, subterfuge and 'smoke and mirrors' so I see it as a major piece of symbolism and correspondence that the News of the World; a newspiece as infamous for its role in breaking 'scandalous' stories as it now is for using phone hacking (and now for allegations about the spinning of stories - planted by Freud Communications) has just been shut down after 168 years in print. This is incredibly close to the 165 year cycle of Neptune. The paper and the planet have both come 'full circle'.

Of course it would have been more perfect, and more persuasive for the skeptics, if the newspaper had shut down exactly 164.7 years after opening but if we look back to what was happening that length of time after its first publication date in 1843 it brings us to 2007. Lo and behold we find that Editor, Andy Coulson, resigned in 2007 over allegations of journalists hacking into phones belonging to the Royal Family. It is also the period that encompassed the Max Mosley revelations. So some may say that was the beginning of the end for the paper and right on cue, the seeds of this newspaper's demise took root 164 years, one exact Neptune cycle, after its opening.

Furthermore, when events which we all get to hear about happen out in the world there is usually a confluence of cycles occurring and it is apparent that more than one cycle is prevalent with this News of the World story. Only those with as keen an eye as I have for symbolism will fully appreciate this link but I notice the planet Uranus - currently in Aries- had stationed to go retrograde as this story exploded AND the Venus/Pluto cycle was at its opposition phase. Uranus in Aries speaks of sudden events (Uranus) involving things associated with personal electronics ( mobile phones) but also the colour red. When the planet is stationed it brings things which correspond to the nature of the planet to the fore big time. Who can have failed to have noticed the red mane of hair tumbling down the back of beleaguered News of the World executive Rebekah Brooks!

Also the masthead for NoTW was red as is the masthead for The Sun Newspaper, another paper in the News International stable ( the UK subsidiary of Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation) that is tipped to 'unexpectedly' put out a Sun on Sunday edition to fill the void left by NoTW. It could well be though that The Sun may also find itself embroiled in this phone hacking scandal.

Meanwhile Venus Pluto cycles are linked with covert behaviour associated with sex and money. This cycle has particular affiliations to underworld organisations such as the Mafia and to prostitution and dealings one would rather keep secret because they are morally dubious. It seems fairly obvious that the Murdoch empire have tried to quickly cut off the blood supply to a story that needs to be suppressed, perhaps because it could have significant ramifications for the entire News Corporation brand as it attempts to take over BSkyB Or maybe, as many suspect, to protect someone in a position of great political power and influence? Are we going to hear of sex and financial scandals at the highest level? You bet we are.

It may take a while for it all to fully surface but with the planet Uranus stationing and retrograding until Dec 10th you can be sure it will be shocking and with Pluto in Capricorn forming ongoing aspects with other planets (watch around the 9th to mid Aug) this one will run and run. And so it should. Those terrier-like journalists who work for these, often salacious, newspapers are also often people with a strong social conscience who believe that double standards should be exposed and that we all have a fundamental right to a free press. We should applaud them. By fair means (as well as foul) they seek to bring us the truth.

It's not looking good though for Rebekah Brooks nee Wade (27 May 1968). She'll be okay long term but she has a chart full of planets in Gemini. Whilst this will undoubtedly make her great at her job, it will also give her the astrological propensity (not certainty) to be a double dealing, clever talking, conniving and devious woman who is economical with the truth. With the approaching Full Moon in her solar 8th house I cannot see how she can survive in her position for much longer unless someone feels it is too dangerous to cut her loose. If there is one chart that shows someone who could turn on her friends and boss this is it!

Meanwhile old Rupert is the embodiment of Neptune as he is a Piscean (11 Mar 1931) the sign ruled by the fishes swimming in two directions! He's undoubtedly got a great head for business and a superlative intuition but he can also wear 'rose coloured glasses'. And as rose is another shade of red, with Uranus in Aries he should be careful that they aren't suddenly ripped from his face because he may not like what he will be forced to see.

In his personal chart Neptune is coming to the opposition of its position at his day of birth. If not handled carefully and honestly Neptune could see the collapse of all he has structured and built up, especially re his BSkyB bid. As one headline put it........ 'Sky falling in on Murdoch Empire.'

I could write about this for ages but suffice to say here, especially to other astrologers - take a look at the progressions and composite chart of Mrs Brooks and Murdoch. It is a fascinating example of synastry and cycles at work!

A 41,000 Year Cycle - Happy Solstice

We are witnessing the annual Summer Solstice here in the northern hemisphere today. This is accompanied by the movement of the Sun into the 90th degree of the 360 degree zodiac - the position we know as 00 Cancer or The Cancer Ingress. At present our planet has reached its maximum axial tilt which makes the Sun appear to have reached its highest declination north i.e., the highest point (latitude) when measured from the Celestial Equator. The current maximum obliquity means that the Sun measures as being +23.26 degrees above the imaginary equator line.You can read about declinations here

Interesting Factoid:
In the article I have linked to above the observant amongst you may note that the Sun's maximum declination is given as being 23.27 but I have said that it has reached its maximum declination at 23.26 degrees. What many people do not realise is that, like everything in the Universe, even the axial tilt of the Earth has a cycle. It is a 41,000 year cycle which takes the tilt (obliquity of the ecliptic) anywhere from 22.1 to 24.5 degrees. In 1900 the accepted axial tilt was 23° 27’ 8.26” but in 2000 the IAU gave it a new figure of 23° 26’ 21.448”

The Sun appears to stand still for three days now; yesterday, today, and tomorrow the 22nd June 2011. After tomorrow the axial tilt will slowly change and the Sun will appear to begin moving slowly down through the declination degrees until it reaches zero at the Equinox. At this point it will move into southern declination and move to -23.26 Here is a Declination Table for the Sun At the Equinox in late September, Spring will begin for our friends 'down under' whilst Autumn will commence for us.

Tip of the Day
Get your kids to place a little marker stick (or tall standing stone!) in the garden aligning with the position where the Sun rises and sets today or tomorrow and let them watch the Sun's travel away and back to these markers throughout the year. Then get them to read about Stonehenge and about the analemma It's good to get kids interested in the Universe around them!

In astrology we look at the two equinoxes and two solstices as being markers of the Cardinal Cross; each of the four junctures marks a transition point in the Earth/Sun cycle and therefore a corresponding transition point in nature and human consciousness. The two equinoxes are about finding balance and harmony, the two solstices are about standing still ( Sol = Sun, Sistere = to stand still) and recognising what changes we need to instigate; where have we gone as far as we can go with something or where do we need to change tack?

In the Wisdom Teachings this Solstice point is known as the Festival of Joy. In the Orphic Mysteries Persephone becomes transfigured as light purifies her mind and fills her blossoming heart* In the Arthurian Legends, this is the day that the Sun King holds his Court; the Knights (and Maidens) gather in the round (Arthur's Round Table) in a festival of joy and thanksgiving for light and illumination - hence lots of people at festivals around fires or in circles across the globe today and tonight.

It is said that a knowledge of astrology helps us to get into conscious alignment with the timing of God/The Universe and the inherent rhythms of life. So if the rise to maximum declination is the equivalent of an inbreath then now at this Solstice point it is time to pause and then slowly exhale! It's a turning point and again, symbolically, a switch from the mental machinations of the mind and logic (Gemini) to a period where over the next 30 days we concentrate on nurturing the emotional/feeling side of our Self as the Sun passes through the water sign of Cancer. By the time we get to the sign of Leo in late July we should have achieved full illumination and brought something to fruition as a result of merging our head and heart during this period.

Many people will be feeling this transition point very keenly today with much in a state of flux, as between yesterday and today Mars, the Moon and the Sun all change signs plus it is interesting too that the fast moving planet Mercury will be at + 24.51 during this Cancer Ingress. This is a position known as 'Out of Bounds' which occurs when a planet goes beyond the boundary of the Sun's maximum declination. It is symbolic of over thinking things or mentally feeling a little fried - or things going haywire. It particularly points to situations involving travel, communications systems and trade going awry. Trading on the stock market may be affected.

Mercury also has correspondence to all ball games: Golf, Tennis, Football etc. It also has correspondence to children, youths and schools. Mercury is the 'winged messenger' so messaging services, phones, computers, social networking sites, media outlets, postal services, airlines and all forms of transport could be at the forefront of the world news now or even for the entire next quarter. Virgo's and Gemini's will feel particularly highly strung this week.

Mercury is the lower octave planet of Uranus, the planet of technology and also the planet particularly associated with flight. Uranus is currently in Aries the sign of cuts, cutting back, cutting down or strikes. I notice that Virgin Airlines is facing a strike threat (and a plane crashed in Russia last night) and there is a burgeoning trend for the deactivation of Facebook accounts (Uranus in Aries). People are 'cutting and running'. This could simply be due to people feeling increasingly overloaded with information technology, messages, updates etc and realising they need to nurture (Cancer) their one to one relationships and home/family life over their virtual reality pseudo-friends .

Something I have been writing and warning about for many years now however is the increasing threat of damage via Solar storms to our computers and Satellite systems in 2011/2012/2013. Watch out for this at the forefront of the news this quarter. With Mercury out of bounds many communications/navigation systems may literally get fried!; I just googled it and the first story I see is this! Also watch out for an increase in Cyber attacks paralysing communication systems.

The Sun in trine to Neptune signals a time of increased telepathy and interests of a spiritual nature and it's a great day to listen to romantic music but Mars also forms an exact tense alignment to Neptune so watch out for unfocused energy and over emotionalism and avoid alcohol and drugs. Take much of what you read and hear with a pinch of salt too as truth flies out the window and deceit, fiction, fantasy and fears hold sway. Listen out for news about frauds and bankruptcies too. Sadly, more distasteful news about peadophilia and child abuse could also surface while Mars progresses through Gemini this month. Mars into Gemini also suggests we should all protect our lungs and watch out for Bronchitis, impurities of the blood, Pneumonia and injuries to arms and shouders and airborne toxins/viruses now.

Something Fishy - Madeleine McCann and Plymouth

With reference to my previous post about the disappearance of Madeleine McCann and in view of the publicity once again being garnered by the case, this is probably a good time to re-show the astrological mapping technique which I revealed in 2007 firmly links Madeleine to Southern Portugal (Praia da Luz) and to the area of Plymouth +/- 30 miles which therefore encompasses Exeter. If you are wondering why this is relevant, please click on this link and this where other bloggers (who are unknown to me) have also noted the connections to this location.

Having read those lists, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that this Portugal/Plymouth (Exeter) link probably needs pursuing when the Metropolitan Police Force review the case. Not least because whilst reading the book, Madeleine, I noted there is a discrepancy in it regarding the number of times that Gerry McCann had visited Portugal before the fated trip in 2007.

Kate McCann alludes to the fact in her book that she feels very alone and as if no one is paying attention to the minute detail, like she is, in the search for her daughter. However, I can assure her there are plenty of mothers, fathers and people from all walks of life and professions who have followed every nuance of this over the years in the hope of helping her to locate her little girl and solve this mystery. Not only is there a burning desire to see justice done, but if we don't know what really happened how can anyone prevent it happening again.

So with super sleuth hat on, in Gerry McCann's Witness Statement (see here) taken in the presence of an interpreter, Natália Carvalho Ferreira de Almeida in 2007, it says 'When asked, he said that he had already been to Portugal in 1994. He stayed in an apartment on the outskirts of Albufeira. He has only returned to Portugal on this occasion'

but on page 42 of her book Madeleine, Kate says:

"I'd never been to Portugal, although Gerry had been there on a couple of golfing trips a few years before"

There may be an easy explanation but as one assertion is in a legal statement and the other in a book which is seeking to convey only the facts so that her daughter might be located, I found this a bit strange. Did Gerry have recent connections to Portugal or not? The police will surely have checked with passport records.

Kate McCann was born under the sign of the fishes, Pisces. The sign is also associated with sacrifice and rose coloured glasses. This is also the sign which exists on the Chaos/Control Pisces/Virgo spectrum, compounded by the controlling Mars/Saturn conjunction in her natal chart, in Kate this could give rise to extremes of self denial and 'control freakery'. Pisceans are great at empathising and intuiting but not always so good as sorting fact from fiction, although their life path might require them to face that very task.

So if Kate is telling the truth in her book, she may just have got 'confused'. Either that or the more unpalatable option exists that Gerry was not telling the truth to her (and she believed him) and/or he was not telling the truth in his statement. The final possibility is that it was simply a very bad translation error so I am not trying to imply anything here, just noting the discrepancies. I'm also not implying that Gerry McCann took his own daughter but the astrology does show that there may be something he's involved with or has been involved with which made his daughter a target and it's surely worth ruling out.

What is the extent of these connections back to England and how could it have impacted the choice to holiday in this resort in 2007?

One other discrepancy I noticed, having previously read all of the witness statements, is that Kate McCann says that when she went into the apartment to do her check (where she discovered Madeleine missing) she glanced over to Madeleine's bed and at first couldn't make out in the dark if she was there or not and didn't want to put the light on, but in Matthew Oldfield's statement he said it had been light enough at the previous check to see the twins breathing in their cots without even getting as far as the bedroom door. Both of these statements can't be right; it has to be extremely light to see a baby (babies) chest rising and falling as they breathe.

Matthew Oldfield's statement, verbatim, says: "So I approached the room but I didn't actually go in because you could see the twins in the cots and one of the, you could see the twins in the cots because they're in with, sort of the cots were in the middle of the room with sort of a gap of about sort of maybe a foot between the two, the cots had sort of got that fabric end and sort of a mesh side, so you could see the sides and you could see them, erm, see them breathing and there were two there and it was all completely quiet. And the other things you could see in the room, there was a, there was another bed at the back underneath the window at the far side and you could see the end of the bed, another bed here".

The statements say that Matthew had earlier listened in on Madeleine and the twins by standing close to the shutters but upon returning to the table he says that he thought it was a bit odd when Gerry insisted on going again to check - despite the fact that there was an obviously more relaxed attitude about who checked who's kids on that particular night.

He says:
"So, erm, back to the table, erm, we have, oh, back to the table, Gerry got up to go and, to go and check on his kids, I mean, and I'd come back and said, you know, I didn't hear any noise when I listened outside your room, so I thought it was a little bit odd that, you know, not kind of a wounded pride that he sort of didn't trust me, but, erm, I just thought, oh, you know, I've just checked you don't really need to check and sort of, you know, sort of go back, but, erm, he sort of got up and went back to check on, erm, on his kids"

and in the interview

4078 "Okay. So Gerry has gone off almost straight away after you got back?"
Reply "Yeah".
4078" And then Jane followed him?"

How annoyed was Matthew Oldfield by this? What did make Gerry go back?

Some of the more obvious questions don't even seem to have been raised or answered in Kate McCann's book. Who for example, except the cleaners, tradespeople who had visited the apartment and the friends in the group would have known that children were sleeping in that room and therefore that particular shutter was the one to aim for if, as Kate informs us, Mark Warner had originally put the cots in the other bedroom. (See p45). Which in turn raises the question, who could have had a key to the apartment?

Did friends of the apartment owner** Ruth McCann (no relation) and previous guests of theirs at that apartment still have keys?? Had the apartment ever been on the market. Did an Estate Agent ever have a key to it? Perhaps the shutter was raised - as Kate McCann says it was - to ensure no-one was outside the front door (See p46) when they left via the door or to ventilate the room of the odour of something and not open for someone to climb through. Who had the key to the apartment in their possession that night? If an intruder entered by the open patio door they surely wouldn't need a key to exit by the front door anyway and finally I have to ask this one although I have never been able to bring myself to suspect the involvement of Mrs McCann; why did she not immediately start calling, if not screaming Madeleine's name out when she discovered her missing?

Although the Tapas bar was in almost full view of the apartment's balcony Kate McCann didn't scream across from there and stay to protect her remaining children from harm but ran all the way down the path to the entrance from the street before saying words to the effect of 'She has gone' - this is not conjecture, all the witness statements confirm this. Why would someone who by her own admission many times in the book is almost paranoid about her children's safety, health and wellbeing do that?

Venus was coming into alignment with Pluto that night, Venus rules Taureans and Pluto Scorpio's. What people born under the birthsign of Scorpio was Madeleine (Venus) connected with on that holiday - especially those with connections to Plymouth? Or does Pluto describe an obsessive person and not a Scorpio? The aspect for Venus and Pluto is one I have written about on many occasions, it's not only connected with hidden financial matters but also hidden passions and the 'if I can't have you nobody else will' type jealous (and often obsessive and revengeful) passion or the 'that will teach you' type retribution. Was everybody in that group faithful to each other? Was there some seething hidden resentment occurring somewhere or money owed? By taking Madeleine one thing was for sure, both parents would openly suffer, no one's life would remain the same and the group would be bonded together for life.

None of the questions asked so far have unearthed a motive for this crime so surely it is time to start thinking out of the box?

The coming solar eclipse at 11 Gemini, falls on Gerry McCann's Venus and Sun and the Full Moon tomorrow (17 May) is in Scorpio. Mercury, Venus and eventually Jupiter are all heading for Madeleine's sign of Taurus. I think and hope fresh information should be making its way to the surface as I write....

Kate McCann says in the book she was married on the weekend before Christmas in 1998 so this would be 19 Dec 1998, Liverpool

Thanks for reading my previous post on the Royals. With regard to my last post I would just like to point out that in the second half I wasn't making predictions per se - I was simply pointing out what the correspondences were for the alignments of that day. Some clever spark commented that it was hardly difficult to suggest that at a wedding there would be lots of amazing hats and headgear! The point is though that the correspondence of Mars and Jupiter in Aries means in astrological parlance that a great deal more attention than usual (Mars) would be focused on the heads and hats (Aries). It surely was - did you see what Princess Beatrice was wearing! I can't be too rude as Philip Treacy is part of my ex husbands family - oh okay then; it looked like a pair of antlers!

There was indeed a surfeit of the colour red (Aries) and the television commentators remarked on more than one occasion about the 'sea of red marching down the roads of London' - referring to the Soldiers' uniforms. Meanwhile the groom wore a lovely shade of red - at one point on his gently blushing face too! Maybe the burnt mahogany colour of Kate's new low lights and her gorgeous sister's tan also fell somewhere within the red spectrum?

There was also one runaway horse who bolted: very Mars (agitation) of Jupiter (Horse) of Aries (Soldier). Re the bloodshed etc, well nothing major happened thank goodness but there was a foiled stunt which interestingly would have cut off the fake head of Uncle Andrew (I mentioned stunts and uncles) and undoubtedly there would have been lots of vials of fake blood. The stunt involved a guillotine; which is a sharp blade - very Aries (all this will only make sense if you read my last blog post). When the Moon met Uranus it was a first time for 2 kisses on the balcony and in the same period William drove his new bride out of the Palace in his Father's open top Aston Martin. Quelle surprise and another first!

I was clock watching and William walked across the threshold of Buckingham Palace (not the Abbey) at 12.27pm so exactly the time that Jupiter moved (see last post) and I see this as highly symbolic of him becoming King.

The highlight for all astrological Royal watchers however had to be the way in which the Void Moon played out. Okay William was a minute or two behind schedule in leaving Clarence House for the Abbey but it all went more or less to plan, but I wonder at what point they decided to postpone their honeymoon? Certainly the honeymoon was widely anticipated and it was effectively a-voided. At least for a while. Interesting. I wondered in a tweet (@KathrynCassidy) if Catherine is and was on the day already in the very, very early stages of pregnancy? She certainly seems to already have a slightly fuller, but still beautiful, face this week. Children will be central to this very lunar (mothering) couple's life. Maybe postponing the honeymoon was simply to avoid the press frenzy and nothing to do with babies - we'll see in about 2-3 months.

Here then to finish up our overview is one of the latest pictures of the Duchess of Cambridge doing another 'first' and pushing a supermarket trolley when she should be on her honeymoon. Domestic Goddess or what!

Unfortunately as Royal Historian David Starkey pointed out, this appellation connected to the University town was one that Prince Edward had refused for himself and his new bride Sophie some years ago; mainly because of the last three Royals who took the Dukedom of Cambridge they all died young. That said the last woman to be called the Duchess of Cambridge lived to be 91, so here's wishing the new bride and her husband a chance to break a pattern and all good luck to them for a long and healthy life together.

I made mention of the names Catherine, Katherine, Kathryn etc last week. now another 'persecuted' Kate is about to hit the headlines again. So, in allegiance to my namesake I'm calling all cycle watchers and astrologers (and asking those who just want to get all sensationalist or garner more hits or readers for their own glory to take a back seat please). A little girl is still missing, presumed dead, and her abductor could still be brought to justice. Later this week Kate McCann will publish her book about Madeleine's disappearance. It is sure to provide some fascinating new detail and respark furious divisions online and off over 'who is culpable'

Newspapers are running previews tomorrow (Sunday). I am not sure what 'data' Kate McCann will reveal in her book but now, armed with her 'from the horses mouth' account of what happened that day in 2007 and not from the pens of third parties, reporters or bloggers, I think it is time for all astrologers to revisit this tragedy and pool their expertise and try and help establish what may have happened. Astrology can give clues - but never certainties- as to who is the most likely to be involved according to the astrological signatures (NOT our own bias). I call on you to work diligently and patiently with the data and the witness statements and see if we can't help shed another angle on this mystery. If you have nowhere to send or discuss your findings you can send them to me and I will monitor the general consensus using your astrological significators (no wild conjecture) and look for those which have not been covered before. I'm not interested in finger pointing just sound astrological analysis.

Kate McCann may mention her own birthtime in the book (ideally astrologers need birthtimes) but I won't divulge it as she is alive and it is her data and her privacy involved but four years on, revealing Madeleine's could just help slot that piece of the jigsaw puzzle into place and help her family find the abductor. Can I just politely remind the newer astrologers that a difficult signature in a birthchart can manifest itself very differently according to the level of evolvement of the owner and the life lessons they need to go through. A Mars/Pluto signature for example can be brutal in one set of hands but can also be someone who uses knives (Mars) to transform (Pluto) a person or save their lives - such as a Surgeon or Doctor would do. We have to be very careful not to attribute things to people when we don't know them based on a few aspects in the chart and look at the whole picture instead. Even then we can never say anything for sure, only offer an opinion.

If however a person's chart makes direct relationships (synastry) to that of a timed chart - ESPECIALLY to the ASC/DESC Axis it should be carefully noted as the Asc is symbolically the physicality of the person (and is connected with place and time); the descendant is an open opponent or 'enemy'. The 12th house is the hidden enemy. Do not fail to look at midpoints either.

Lifting the Veil on the Royal Wedding - nothing is ever as it seems!

So 'the wedding' is looming and what better weekend for a Knight of the Garter to wed but the closest date to the Festival of Unification (also known as Beltane). In the context of the Mystery School initiation path from Neophyte to Enthronement (i.e.Full illumination) this stage is the 'quickening' where William now truly begins his service to mankind. He becomes married - not just to Kate - but he unites the love in his heart with his burgeoning spiritual awareness and sets forth on a purposeful mission to give and share that love with all. In return he finds joy in service and advances his own journey.

If you thought they just picked the date at random think again. This is the man who will be King. He is, in Mystery school terminology, the Christ Child. His role was literally pre ordained. That he chose to wait until his Saturn return to marry and that it had to be between St George's Day (23 April - where the Knight metaphorically slays the dragon of ignorance and alerts people to the truth of existence) and this date (Beltane is the eve of 30 April /1 May) was a 'given' to the inner sanctum of wise men who advise him.

If you are still not sure this date was handpicked according to the ancient lore and rite of the mystic teachings, then maybe this will convince you. The most commonly accepted astrological chart for England used from before the Order of the Garter was officially established (but the garter was already a part of the Secret Doctrine even if the ceremony was not) is the date of 25 December 1066. This is the date for the Coronation of William! Where did this Coronation of King William (known as William the Conqueror) take place... Westminster Abbey.

Where did William and Kate choose to be married despite it being a 'surprising' choice due to it being too small - the abbey. What sign and degree was rising at the time of William's coronation in 1066 in London? 21.57 Aries. Where will the planet of Faith and Kings be at 11am on 29th April 2011 ...at 21.56 Aries. In other words the two (this marriage ceremony and the 'elevation' of William to the throne) unite in time and space.

Furthermore Mars will precisely conjoin with Jupiter at this 21 Aries degree only on this day. Symbolically Mars is defender and Jupiter is Faith. One day, according to an already established timetable, Prince William will be crowned King William in this Abbey and become Defender of (the) Faith. The Sovereign holds the title 'Defender of the Faith' and Supreme Governor of the Church of England.

At around 12.15pm and certainly by 12.35 (12.27pm to be precise) Jupiter will move to 21.57 Aries crossing over the Ascendant which is the equivalent of a threshold and the now 'spiritually united' King-in-waiting will emerge into public view truly 'married' to his destiny.

What of Catherine. Was she handpicked? Not knowingly, but spiritually they were pulled (gravitated) together just as we are all pulled towards our karmic destiny. More on Catherine another time but suffice to say here that I have yet to meet a Catherine, Katherine, Kathryn or any derivative of the name who has not felt an air of persecution entering their lives at some point on their life path. Names have meaning. This Catherine will certainly feel 'persecuted' by some, not for her beliefs but by the snobbery of those who consider her not high-born enough or worthy of such a position. In the eyes of that Higher Power which perfectly orders everything in this Universe however, you can be sure she is exactly where she is meant to be - for better or for worse!

With a number of planets in Aries and with Mars in Aries as the final dispositor of all the planets with the exception of Neptune in its own sign, this is a military day inside and outside the Abbey and Palace; but expect the following:

Lots of people wearing red or shades of it
Lots of people 'seeing red' and some angry scenes
Blushing
A rush at some point (Aries is about speed even accidents and bloodshed)
A few risque comments and lots of 'horseplay'
Lots of OTT behaviour (especially later on with some guests) but also with Police
A few feisty horses (Mars/Jupiter) - and at least one will bolt
A huge Military presence (Mars/Jupiter)

A few 'stunts'.
Plus until after the wedding the Moon will be in Pisces, this denotes a public in a state of romantic reverie but can also denote chaos in crowds and insecure boundaries. The Moon meets Uranus later in the day, so some shocks and surprises are to be expected.but this will be a wedding of 'Firsts' - the first commoner to potentially become Consort, the first time a huge Royal wedding will be followed on Twitter and the Internet etc etc. Watch for these 'firsts' being mentioned on the news.

Finally watch out too for the 'Uncle' coverage. Uncles are ruled by Jupiter so Kate's Uncle, and Charles Spencer, Andrew and Edward will all be making headlines (as seen by the Mars/Jupiter conjunction on the day).

Enjoy the spectacle. No one does pomp and ceremony like the British but do bear in mind that on this occasion you are watching more than just a man and woman getting betrothed to each other. You are witnessing a step along the Path of Discipleship and a monumental event in the history of this country.

By the way, much has been said about the fact that the couple will take their vows under a Void of Course Moon which usually means nothing will come of it - but it can also mean that normal life is suspended for a while. You often see a VOC Moon when big parties take place. Yes people will forget things, a few will be late and it may not go like clockwork etc but the marriage vows, once taken, are final. It will all be very, very emotional too. Only the most hard bitten cynic is likely to remain unmoved in their heart.

I am sure most of you who frequent my blogs on a regular basis (thank you) know by now that the big gap between my last posting and this one is due to the fact that a) the last post proved to be so prescient - it came before the Tsunami and nuclear events etc - that I wanted to keep it up to show the efficacy of astrology and metaphysics and b) because my attention was redirected to a special pop-up page to cover the Tsunami and Mega SuperMoon period. I have been covering news of the upsurge in Nuclear events in this period via my Twitter link too. It is simply amazing when you take the time to look, just how many problems there are with nuclear reactors across the globe each month. The people who put up Fukushima thought they had made allowances for every eventuality - they were proved wrong. This week a series of unprecedented weather events, specifically tornadoes caused the Surry Nuclear Facility in Virginia to lose power. This just goes to show how man will never be able to outwit nature and just how dangerous it is to build these extinction level event generators that we call Nuclear Plants!

Surf's Up - Trouble in the Oceans Above and Below

Many mystics have postulated that we reside in an invisible sea known as the Aethers. Today someone sent me a picture of a wave crashing to the shore in Hawaii, as soon as I saw it I recollected having seen a very similar picture of the Eagle Nebula in Space. Take a look. Perhaps this is more proof of the 'As above, So below' phenomenon. Does the 'sea of Space' act like our oceans?

The picture on top is one of the brilliant pictures taken by Clark Little of the ocean surf. The other is taken by the Hubble Space Telescope and is of, what we might term, the interstellar surf!

Coincidentally (?) I had just been reading an article entitled: NOAA Studies Atmospheric ‘Rivers’ Using Unmanned Aircraft

There's certainly a wave, if not a tsunami of trouble rolling through the Middle East these past weeks and as Neptune, the planet of waves and ruler of Pisces, prepares to move into its own sign in early April we are being inundated with stories of plasma waves being hurtled into Space from the Sun. So worrying is this increase in Spaceweather storms that news stories abound about the possibility of a 'Global Katrina' storm emanating from the Sun and frying our communication systems. Jane Lubchenco, head of the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) went so far as to say:

"This is not a matter of if, it is simply a matter of when and how big."

Meanwhile down here (and the two are surely connected) Earth weather continues to astonish. The pictures and extent of the liquefaction as a result of the New Zealand earthquake almost defies belief.

Then there was this story, which coins a word I have never heard of before and I doubt many others have either - 'Thundersnow'. A February 24th report from NASA Science News tells how a freakish thundersnow, a 50-mile long lightning bolt, and almost a dozen gravity waves hit Huntsville, Alabama,

Six Planets in Aries
The sign of Aries certainly is related to attacks and therefore it is with more than a little trepidation that we cycle watchers are anticipating the build up of 6 planets in Aries at the end of March beginning of April and this aforementioned shift of Neptune. Neptune relates to waves and oceans - the physical seas and the sea of ether around us. Where exactly are these 'attacks' likely to arise from? Natural ones from up above in the celestial sphere or man made ones down here - or both?

The next Full Moon chart of 19 March looks a little worrying in this regard. I defy any but a psychic astrologer to say exactly how this is going to manifest but it is noted that in the UK and all locations on similar longitudes the Moon is ascending and the Moon relates to tides, water and liquids. The Moon, Uranus and the nodes are all aligned to the Galactic Centre, so this implies an event of global proportions and also involves the fixed star Scheat, which ... well, it's not got a good reputation.

"it (Scheat) was regarded as an extremely dangerous star, from which poured forth with all kinds of disaster and misfortune associated with water. Catastrophies, floods, shipwreck, mining accidents, airplane accidents, and suicide attempts have been recorded as the effects of this star by Ebertin and Hoffman, whilst Robson acknowledges it as a star of extreme misfortune".- Skyscript

If that chart looks problematic though it has nothing on the 6 planet in Aries New Moon of 3 April. The Ascendant/Descendant axis is also connected to the GC and square to malefic Scheat. The gestalt of this chart for Washington is rather like an umbrella - the handle being Saturn. Saturn represents the authorities and is situated in the house associated with the theatre of war. In the sign of Libra this means some pretty full on diplomatic (Libra) sanctions (Saturn) are a huge possibility and this is already coming to pass as I write. Is 'Saturn' strong enough to support all this stress that is raining down upon it? Well luckily Saturn is strong in Libra so the authorities have the law on their side but the opposition and aggression towards the 'establishment' is intense and striking a balance to please everyone may prove almost impossible. As we are also in the 180 degree phase of the Jupiter/Saturn cycle, assassinations are a strong possibility.

That said, it should always be noted that due to the Law of Polarity there is always a positive manifestation possible in every situation. The chart for the 3 April New Moon could be the one that leads to a breakthrough (note the ACG Geodetic chart has the New moon running through Tripoli). It could also denote the inception
(also note this is the name of an Oscar winning film and corresponds to Aries) of new conditions and as the New Moon occurs on the same day as a Mars/Uranus conjunction perhaps the inception of a new regime. With Neptune changing signs for the first time since 1998 on the very same day, it is however 50/50 as to whether this date (+/- a few days) will herald a new initiative and new start (Aries) or attacks and acts of aggression (Aries) which will spark something less desirable like full on war.

Neptune correlates strongly to gas and oil but also as it is a higher octave of Venus, it relates to money/currency and to collapse and mergers. It is linked to anything which spreads (diseases) and unfortunately this links it to genocide, nuclear leaks or weapons and explosions. It is also strongly linked to depressions. Depressions of the economy, the mind or in the atmosphere. Neptune retrogrades out of Pisces later in 2011 but then returns in early 2012 and stays in Pisces right through until 2025.

If we look back at what happened when Neptune last changed signs we see that it was at the time of the Iraq disarmament crisis. It was the time when Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías was elected President of Venezuela, there was a massacre in Algeria, Bill Clinton was impeached, Deutsche Bank merged with Banker's Trust and Exxon with Mobil to create Exxon-Mobil and America Online merged with Netscape and our connectivity via the Internet really started to flourish. Just prior to the change John Glenn returned to earth aboard SpaceShuttle Discovery.

What changed for you in late 1998?

When Neptune changes signs it will make an harmonic connection to these people, places, events and issues, so expect so see news of them surface again from March in some shape or form. My guess is that we will see more financial collapses as well as regime changes and as Pluto sits in square to Neptune in the chart of the UN, and on the progressed Sun of founding of the UN, for many months, what we are headed for is not pretty, but ultimately it is reorganising the world and people's understanding of the value of love, life and unity into a better shape.

If we are to know the value of anything we first have to know what the loss of it - or potential loss -feels like.

CHI-RHO, CAIRO, CHIRON

The coincidence of the uprising in Egypt happening just as Chiron was changing signs in the sky AND as Jupiter had just crossed into the sign of Aries has been piquing my interest. In ancient astrological texts the Prime Meridian, which divided the world into East and West hemispheres, was set as passing through the longitude of the Great Pyramid. What this means is that 0 Aries was pinned to that longitude and not to Greenwich where it 'ended up' in 1884. If we use Cairo (the pyramids) as the main meridian from which we divide the globe up into celestial and terrestrial longitudes starting at 0 Aries, then Jupiter has just crossed into the region having already come from Tunisia and is now heading towards Jordan, Israel, Syria, Saudi and all points East. From March onwards Uranus, the great liberator will follow as it too moves to 0 Aries.

This transit and the uprising in Egypt is all too much of a coincidence for skywatchers to ignore because 'what is above is like what is below and what is within is like what is without' so we must consider that the ancient pinning of the Prime Meridian has more celestial significance and physical significance than many hitherto realised. Where else do we have 2 hemispheres. In the brain. As within, so without*

Still on the same subject, but major coincidence number two, is that I have always understood the Chiron glyph to be closely related to the subject of Christ Consciousness - i.e. enlightenment. This week, just as it was moving into the sign most associated with Christianity - Pisces, the fishes - for the first time since 1961, I was inclined (the stars incline they do not compel) to make my first video in about two years. The video is about... drum roll... enlightenment. Furthermore I originally posted it up for private viewing and someone pointed out to me it went up exactly as Chiron moved to Pisces. Just coincidence?

The video has now been reposted and is set for public view, you can watch it below but before you do... The name Cairo is officially said to be Al-Qahira or Masr but the occulted (occulted means hidden from view) reason for its name is thought to derive from the words CHI-RHO which is the Greek spelling of the word Christ. In FreeMasonry the Hiramic legend was originally the CHIramic legend as it is really about Christ - or Chris consciousness. Anyway I digress, you can read about this christogram here.

Update: Is it just a coincidence that since writing this an earthquake hit a city called CHRIST-CHURCH and toppled the spire of a cathedral? It is not a coincidence from a metaphysical point of view

If you look at the pictures from Zane Stein's great site on the subject ( he's an expert on Chiron) it shows one of the two original glyph designs. We all know the symbol as a key but it was formed from the cross (and drawn to divine proportions)

So, there I was pondering all this and I saw a list which You Tube video's automatically generate to 'match' the keywords of the one I posted. One caught my eye called Revealed - The Secret of Christianity and was put up in 2007. I watched it only to synchronistically discover the video maker had put together a whole section about (some of) the significance of the Chi- Rho. The rest of the video is worth watching but it is information which, whilst accurate, is not the whole story about the Cross and the Sun but my website will soon have that 'full story' so keep an eye out for that*.

In conclusion then, Jupiter and Uranus could be said to be moving into the land of Cairo or Chiron! I will be watching the progress of Jupiter, a planet which brings freedom and release and Uranus - revolutions - over the Middle East with great interest. I see its passage back to this location as a time of teachings (Chiron is associated with Teachers, Gurus and Heirophants) and awakening to the real truth about Egypt and the Holy Land. We are approaching a time of awakening (Uranus) about the truth of organised religion and as such we can expect to see many Catholics being wounded (wounds are a keyword for Chiron) by the the burgeoning revelations about the reality of the Christ story and the history of corruption of power in the Papacy. I would say Chiron's passage through Pisces means the Vatican and spiritual truths will be very much in the news in 2011/2012 and beyond right through to 2019

Here is the official emblem of the Papacy - the cross keys ( the key taken from the cross in the picture further up, now being the universal symbol of Chiron). This symbol is steeped in much hidden esoteric wisdom via the proportions, the colours, the numbers in the emblem that I will also discuss shortly.

EGYPT - and unfulfilled dreams

Like I said in my New Year newsletter, this is set to be a Revolutionary New Year. Revolutions don't just appear from nowhere. They don't spring up because a planet which correlates to revolutions (Uranus) has moved to aspect the Sun of the establishment of a regime or a Republic (Modern Egypt has a 'birth chart' of 18 June 1952 11.30pm Cairo - see above) They happen because forces have been building up which can no longer be contained and the planets act as heavenly markers that symbolically mirror what is happening down here on Earth. In the case of Egypt the support or foundations of the formation of it as a Republic were not strong enough to support the edifice that began rising from that moment in 1953. Collapse was almost inevitable (Saturn/Neptune).

As one commentator said' When you have a populace of educated professionals with unfulfilled dreams (Neptune)..... well this is what was actually said: "for millions who have concluded that their dreams for a better life would expire unfulfilled, nothing could be worse than the present". It's a great article so try and give it a read.

All the protesters want to see is change. With change there is hope of fulfillment. The time markers (the astrology) indicate that a major restructuring would have taken place around now anyway whether Mubarak was still in power or not. Exactly how things come about is always down to choice. The fact that this moved to be a violent revolution comes only from the reaction of the Government in not adapting to the needs of the people along the way and not giving them the freedom to be properly heard..

Egyptians want the capitulation of President Mubarak but from the metaphysical point of view he came here as a stubborn Taurean (4 May 1928), with a life lesson to learn about building something but also about accepting change as a natural part of life and not pinning ones self worth to what one has established. As a result he will have attracted people to his side who resonate to Taurean qualities and his personal ethos. The positive manifestation of a Taurean influence is stability and sound economic decisions, the negative is intransigence and being 'tight' with money whilst seeking to accrue it for oneself. When the ego is given free rein in anyone the megalomaniac despot can emerge and the mere thought of letting go of what one has built up becomes akin to physical death. For the Taurean ego the screaming in the head is probably heard as something like this: 'Without my 'power' who am I?' (Scorpio polarity) 'If what I have established now falls, what worth do I have?'(financial and self worth,Taurus)

When reaching such a juncture the time of year you are born will have an effect on how you respond when faced with crisis. In the case of an unevolved Taurean whose ego is holding sway, the natural propensity will always be to dig in their heels and use sheer force of will until it is clear that there is no option. Even then though the fear of loss can give rise to terrible rage and we see the 'Bull in the china shop' syndrome where there is a disproportionate reaction and a lot of residual damage. The US peacemakers should perhaps fear this above all.

Mubarak may find a way to hang on in but if this happens it will only be because it is fulfilling a wider agenda for everyone - after all who will replace him? How it all ends eventually is down to his personal choice. Will ego triumph over spirit or will wisdom prevail? Can he reach agreement? Venus (agreement) moves across a solar angle of the Republic chart as soon as tomorrow and in the chart of the day Mubarak assumed the Presidency (14 Oct 1981) the planet that shows endings is not completing its transit just yet, so let's see*. Proper change will come naturally to Egypt when Saturn once again moves forward from 17 degrees and heads to 20-22 Libra. This will be in September/October 2011. Before then though the transit of Uranus alerts us to a continuing struggle for freedom (Aries) and fairness/equality (Libra) so don't expect it all to just go away.

* Update. Mubarak did indeed come to an agreement, as Venus moved he agreed not to stand in next election but this will keep him in until the Saturn return in September. 'The people' however are not happy and want his immediate removal.

Ultimately however one man cannot be held responsible for an uprising. He is a figurehead and at some level all this is much larger than one person or one country; it is part of the unfolding wave travelling across the Globe in which nature as an energy is moving through the collective and seeking to restore order. Where excess or restriction have got out of balance, the scales will eventually try and right themselves to a point of equilibrium. There may be some violent, even terrifying swells as balance seeks to establish itself. Only resistance or forcing things to move at an unnatural pace (or to a nefarious or self serving agenda) can artificially prolong the process.

In the end though everything is unfolding exactly as it should. Getting to the point of recognising this truth is the path of the Soul.

Jupiter into Aries and the Royals
So Jupiter is now in Aries and the film The Fighter is amongst the Oscar nominations. Any link up above to what is happening down here on terra firma? Yep - fighting is 'ruled by' Aries but wait The King's Speech is right up there in line for some awards too. Jupiter is the planet of Kings and Aries corresponds to the head (from which speeches are made) - I admit I would have preferred to have seen Jupiter in Taurus (as Taurus is the sign of the voice) for a perfect correspondence but Mercury is also involved in speeches and Mercury will be in the sign co-ruled by Jupiter on Oscar night, as will the Sun - another sign associated with Royalty. I guess you don't need to be an astrologer to know The King's Speech is going to win an award!

Update: The Fighter won best supporting Actor, the King's Speech swept the board and Inception - which means to start, begin or initiate and is therefore an Aries correspondence - also won four Oscars. Prince William gave a speech at St Andrew's University and in Wales on his first Royal engagements with Catherine Middleton but I still feel there is something else looming vis a vis William

More Symbolism
A while back before the devastating floods which have affected many areas of the globe, I tweeted that it was ominous that Cheryl Cole and Take That both had music tracks out called The Flood. Sure enough the symbolism played out in a tragic way in Australia, Sri Lanka and Brazil. I now have my eye on the coincidence of the release of this film and the 2011 Royal wedding. The King's Speech may yet prove to be linked to some developments within the Royal Family - possibly a speech about or involving Prince William. Especially as Jupiter has now moved across his solar midheaven. The changes for Prince William (and for Cancerian Camilla) will come thick and fast and some will be wholly unexpected because hot on the heels of Jupiter is the planet Uranus - this planet is known as 'the Intruder' or 'the Awakener' and it always brings shocks, surprises and sudden change.

Jupiter is moving across the solar midheaven for all Cancerians and across the solar nadir of the chart (related to home, hearth, land, property, ancestors and family) for all Capricorns. Many Cancerians/Capricorns will find their status changes soon. Some will be freed of something, some will make the headlines (Jupiter is associated with publicity - and religion) some will add to their family or reach a position of prestige. Some will gain awards some may move abroad or travel more. Cancers and Capricorn's (i.e Kate Middleton) will move to larger homes or some 'expansion' of family will occur, or a Sagittarian or Piscean (or big news story) may enter their lives; they may also experience more freedom, but let's not forget about Uranus. Uranus rules the unexpected but also reforms, radicals and revolutionaries and even traitors. For the average Capricorn person it may just be that they get some new technology into the home or meet an Aquarian but for bride to be, Kate Middleton, things will never be the same again!

Saturn is hovering to turn retrograde in square to Kate's Sun - the Sun denotes a woman's 'man' (and father) - let's hope no one is having cold feet or finding the pressure and restrictions of Royal protocol and press intrusion too much. Kate's also looking a little thin which often happens when Saturn squares one's natal Sun. Her Father could well be feeling the strain too and William's undoubtedly under pressure to conform to tradition.

As a Cancerian, Saturn is ruler of Prince William's 7th Sun Sign house of marriage and it is stationing to turn backwards. In Kate's chart it 'rules' her as she is a Capricorn, but for every one of us it has links to how we structure our lives so for all of us 're structuring and reviewing' is the topic of the moment.

Sun signs - with a twist
As far as Kate and the Royals are concerned really all we need to know is contained in just one chart. The chart is like a fractal, from which all information can be derived. So using just Kate's Solar chart (Sun on 1st house, 12 noon, equal house for those who like the technical bit) we can determine that Saturn rules her mother's family (her mother is the 10th house and then 4th house from the 10th is Capricorn/Saturn). This is the 10th house of her Father (shown by the 4th) so denotes his career/home axis but it is also the house of the Queen's husband, Prince Philip.

The first house is also the 11th from the 3rd so speaks of the friends and interests of her siblings. All things shown by this house are presently 'under review' for a while. Her siblings will probably be having to 'offload' some friends who may be a bit too loose tongued. The 'walls' and limitations of Royal life will well and truly be closing in around the Middleton family now.

In her chart Kate's Sun and Moon are at loggerheads. Often this denotes that the parent's are perceived by the chart owner as being very different in character or as having sent opposing messages to the child. The Moon in Kate's chart is very strong in its own sign. Her mother (shown by the Moon and by 10th house Venus - Venus in Aquarius) is therefore a strong force and William's father's mother (4th from 7th then 10th from the 4th) is also shown in Kate's chart by the Moon in its own sign - you don't get much stronger than your grandmother being Queen!

William's mother, Diana, is shown by the 10th from the 7th house and this is Mars. Mars is in Libra ruled by Venus but Venus is retrograde so she is 'missing'. How did William's mother die? Look to the 10th from the 7th of Kate's chart for her husband's mother, then the 8th house from the 7th. Uranus is in Sagittarius (suddenly/accidentally = Uranus Sag = abroad and maybe we could infer other things from this - but I won't go there.)

This is all basic Sun sign astrology with the added use of what we call 'turning the chart'.

In Kate's chart, as we have seen, the Moon is in Cancer at 14 degrees Cancer (Sun on 1st, noon chart) which shows the Queen. The incredible thing here is that William's North Node - a sense of fate/destiny - is at 13.20 Cancer ( 40 mins of arc from 14 Cancer). There is a karmic link between him and Kate. When Diana married at St Paul's Cathedral the Moon was also at 13 Cancer. Diana's union, which produced William, and the date of Kate's birth are all linked. 13 Cancer is also the position of the Sun of America. Kate will, like Diana, be hugely popular with the American people. America or an American may also have a big role to play in Williams and Kate's life. Additionally, when Diana died the midpoint of Uranus (sudden)and the North Node (fate/destiny) were harmonically aligned with 13 Cancer. meanwhile, the natal position of Pluto in the Queen's chart is 12.42 Cancer - just 18 mins of arc off 13 Cancer.

Remember there are 360 degrees in a circle, so statistically this emphasis on the 103rd degree - 13 Cancer - shows how the Universe is precisely ordered and nothing happens without a strong resonance - an attraction - between cycles of time. The baton is passed in a preordained way.

Saturn/Neptune and Royals
Edward V111 signed papers confirming his abdication the day before the public speech. The signing was at 15.51 GMT on Dec 10th 1936 at Fort Belvedere, Windsor. On that date Saturn and Neptune were in opposition phase - The House of Windsor is strongly associated with the Saturn /Neptune cycle - George VI succeeded him and George's elder daughter, Princess Elizabeth, became first in the line to the throne as heiress presumptive. Her father, George V1, was discovered dead in his bed at Sandringham on 2 Feb 1952 and 'Lilibet' became Queen. Saturn and Neptune were this time conjoined at her Coronation in 1953 at 21 Libra. Incredibly when Kate was born in 1981 Saturn had cycled once around to exactly 21 degrees Libra. When the baton is passed again we can therefore expect Saturn and Neptune to be in some alignment - that is this year (2011) and 2015.

29 Mutables (Gemini/Sag/ Pisces/Virgo) and Royals
We know the precise time that Prince William was born but if we run at 12 noon chart, Sun on 1st chart his Sun and Moon switch to 29 Gemini. This makes Mercury in Gemini his 'ruler' and not the Moon. Interestingly William's name is seldom mentioned without his brother Harry and Harry is a Virgo ruled by Mercury. In William's 12 noon chart his brother is shown by the Sun in Gemini ( Sun rules 3rd) Gemini is ruled by the planet, Mercury - the practical joker.

Williams 7th house cusp - his future wife - would be denoted by Jupiter and Jupiter is in the sign of Scorpio . Mars rules this and is conjunct Saturn in the 4th - Mars/Saturn denotes a Capricorn woman (perhaps a very controlled or controlling one) and 4th house has a strong Cancer overtone (Kate has Moon in Cancer). If we use the other ruler of Scorpio, Pluto, this planet is also in the 4th in the sign of Libra ruled by Venus in the 11th, the house of friends. It is opposite Uranus which rules the 9th of Universities. William famously met his 'friend' Kate at University.

William's mother would be shown by Neptune - the icon - but it also links into the Mars/Saturn conjunction. At the time of Diana's death transiting Venus was precisely conjoined to Mars/Saturn in William's chart and in the book Combination Of Stellar Influences Mars/Saturn with Venus is described as being involved with "loss
(death) of female persons.

Prince Charles also has the 29 mutables axis with Jupiter and Uranus opposed at 29 Gemini/Sag. Their lives are more intertwined and subject to sudden upheaval than the average Father and Son.

You can look at William's timed sun sign chart or a 12 noon sun sign chart either way transiting Pluto in Capricorn and Jupiter and Uranus are about to shake things up in the UK and bring change to 'the Establishment' (death of the old) and that includes the Monarchy. Watch for planets (and retrogrades eclipses and lunations) moving across or involving these degrees for the biggest changes involving the Royal Family 4/5degrees, 12/13degrees, 17/18degrees 21/22degrees, 29/00 degrees and for the Saturn/Neptune aspects which are close for most of the year but exact 24 March and 25th August 2011. 6 and 7 Cancer/Capricorn also seem to be prevelant degrees.

The Royal Wedding

Having all those planets in the fast, volatile, often explosive sign of Aries is not ideal but, as I said, these things have their own momentum and timing. On the day of the wedding, assuming it goes ahead as planned, the Sun (symbolising the event itself and the male) is in the sign of Taurus (ruled by Venus) - stable, loving, charming - and Venus (the female) is in Aries (ruled by Mars) and Mars is conjunct Jupiter ( Royals) so far so good. Venus and Mars; male and female unite. There will be lots of 'firsts' involved with this wedding. Kate will be the first absolute 'commoner' to marry into the British Royal Family but we can expect lots of other 'firsts' too, technological firsts, logistical firsts, break with tradition firsts etc. The Moon (the female bride) is in the sign of Jupiter but is void, so a bit out of her depth but Jupiter is also in Aries - great for a new beginning. Expect lots of guests to be wearing red and a huge military presence. Aries is also associated with birth - will Kate fall pregnant very quickly? Moon moves to Uranus within 5 months!

Mars (the male) whilst sharing the same sign of Aries is stronger in its own sign than Venus - plus Mars is in conjunction to Jupiter. Kate loves William but whilst William loves Kate he is more concerned about being 'Kingly' (Jupiter) in front of his pals from the Armed Forces and the dignitaries in attendance. He will also look wonderful in all his regalia*. He is the dominant partner.

Confirmed 31 Jan - William to wed in full military uniform

The public, also shown by Moon, are caught up in a swell of mass emotion and the romance of it all - there could be chaotic scenes as the Moon is in Pisces, Neptune is strong in its own sign. The Police (Saturn) are watching from a distance but Venus, Saturn and Pluto are also in a tight T square. There will be rigidly controlled restrictions/barriers in place but forces should be sure that there is no infiltration (Pisces) especially amongst camera or film crew or loss of control of crowds.

Venus and Pluto are aligned so fanatics and those obsessed by the couple (or Diana) will need to be watched carefully. With the Sun in Taurus trine Pluto, the money spent on policing the nuptials will be to the forefront of everyone's mind (due to the failing economy). With so much emphasis on Mars/Aries there may be more focus on threats, protests and rebellions than might be anticipated at this time; this is indicated by the whole slew of planets in the sign of Aries.

The chart holds good for the course of their marriage. It's not the best, but Aries is all about learning to relate to a partner in an assertive and loving way and banishing any selfishness, aggression or willfullness. Hopefully they will use this energy to fight for the rights of the people and charities and not to fight amongst themselves as the marriage progresses. Taurus does speak of stability, harmony and fixity. One thing is for sure though, with a void Moon in Pisces on the wedding day the course of this marriage will be like sailing into uncharted waters for this couple. Let's wish them the best.

Stricken Qantas Plane was called City of Toowoomba!

As those who have been following my blogs for any length of time will know, I report on and look for synchronicities. To my mind, the more of them that I can bring to the attention of the reading public, the more possibility there is for opening minds (which may have previously been closed) to the possibility that the Universe is connected by a vast quantum energy field - as detailed in Lynne McTaggart's Book ' The Field'.

The picture above is of Qantas aircraft VH-OJO. This aircraft, a Boeing 747-438 was delivered to Qantas on 21 May 1992 but its first flight was 21 Feb 1991. On Saturday 15 January 2011 this aircraft flying as QF11 from Sydney to Los Angeles had an emergency situation when the Pilot abandoned take-off after an engine blew out as it was accelerating down the runway. News sources across the globe are running the story of the passengers frightening ordeal - especially because of the coincidence that this weekend Qantas is resuming the operations of its Airbus fleet which have been grounded due to a mid air engine explosion in 2010.

The real synchronicity for me however - and one which the news services have failed to pick up on, but one of my canny readers noted and informed me about - is that the Boeing 747 was named TOOWOOMBA. Unless you have been on a different planet this week you will know that Toowoomba (see my previous post) was the scene of devastating flash floods. What are the chances of that? There has to be an energetic link.

Furthermore, when we look at the time of the aborted take off/flameflash (explosion) from the aircraft's engine and compare that time to the astrological chart of the first flight of this aircraft, we find the following:

The 'Thank the Lord' aspect

Hopefully you can read the text which I have added to this chart (which shows the type of correlations astrologers have come to expect when there is an event between two cycles of time) but just in case, here is a precis of what it says:

The planet Mars, on Jan 15th, had come to exactly conjoin the planet Saturn of the first flight chart. This conjunction is always related to stoppages. Mars accelerates and Saturn stops things dead. Mars was also on the midpoint of Saturn and the Node, an aspect often seen in fatal accidents. In this case though everyone was very lucky, a few more seconds and once the acceleration has reached a certain speed ( they say "V1,V2, Rotate" on the flight deck) you are committed to taking off or you'll crash.

What made this moment in time so lucky? Well Jupiter and Uranus are commonly known as the 'Thank the Lord' aspect, they are prevalent in times of unbelievable luck and both were conjoined to the beneficent planet Venus - and the Moon at that time had passed its opposition to Pluto in the chart. If it was applying to oppose Pluto, the planet of death and destruction, circumstances may well have been a little different.

Let's also look at the correlations between the time of delivery chart in May 1992 and this incident:

Again some amazingly synchronistic (syn chron means with time) lucky alignments!

OPHIUCHUS - YOUR SUN SIGN JUST CHANGED - DEBACLE

I can hardly be bothered to comment on this topic. It's a case of yawn, yawn. We went through it all in 1995 - the only difference then was that we didn't have the Internet explosion to send it viral. Suffice to say we astrologers/cycle watchers are not idiots (well let's just rephrase that to - not all astrologers. There have been some surprising comments from people who call themselves astrologers this week who have obviously never studied any astronomy. One who self labels themselves as a 'World famous astrologer' in the USA and does have a huge following springs immediately to mind). Anyway, look, we know all about Precession (except that astrologer) we know all about the multitude of Constellations, including the so called '13th one', Ophiuchus, but we don't use the constellations in our Western tropical astrology system - which is the Sun sign and general astrology most readers know. We use 12 times 30 degree divisions of the apparent path of the Sun (the ecliptic) and the start of the 360 degrees of the ecliptic is pinned to the Equinoxes and Solstices as they occur from our vantage point here on Earth each year.

So, when the Sun moves from the Southern to the Northern Hemisphere in March and shines directly on the Equator this year at 23.21UT on 20 Mar 2011 (see NASA) the sign of Aries begins - it's nothing to do with constellation alignments! That's why the divisions change slightly each year and astrologers will always have to check an ephemeris - a table of planetary positions - if you were born at the end or beginning of a sign division to determine where the Sun was in your year of birth on that date.

Rachel Maddow in the USA did an entertaining (but sadly ill informed re astrology) piece on it all just as it was trending on Twitter for over 36hrs (incidentally this is the longest I have seen anything trend on Twitter, so who are all these people who usually say they are not the least bit interested in their astrology signs?) However the funniest, cleverest response to all this ridiculously overblown hoo-ha was, to my mind this! Tongue-in-cheek at its best!

With regards to Rachel's mention of the changing alignment of airport runways (in the video above) which has no bearing on Astrology, here is another article I was sent this week. It further pads out my exploration into possible reasons for the bird death phenomena, which I was writing about last week. Some of it is a bit 'conspiracy theory' but some of it is fascinating. The truth is probably in there somewhere.

A Vulnerable Planet Full of Vulnerable People

The new year was ushered in with an applying New Moon. This was no ordinary New Moon however - as many of you will be aware - it was a Solar Eclipse AND it fell just as the mighty planet Jupiter aligned precisely in the sky with the planet Uranus in the 12th tropical zodiac sign of Pisces.

Look back at many of my previous posts, and those of other astrologers, in which we make mention of the planet Uranus and you will see that it correlates to the word 'flash' and sudden events. The sign Pisces is associated with water. Using the keyword formula to interpret what the alignment of Jupiter and Uranus in Pisces might portend, you'll therefore also find a good proportion of astrologers came up with Jupiter = Massive. Uranus = Sudden or flash and Pisces = Water, so we warned of possible tsunami's or flash floods.

What none of us could have foreseen would be the Toowoomba inland tsunami as it is such a rare event. However, as you may have noticed, there are a whole lot of 'rare' things happening at the moment; birds falling from the sky and fish dying in their thousands in multiple locations across the globe, unprecedented weather conditions etc, - but we will get to that in a minute.

With regard to the terrible floods in Australia and the astrology of the event, it is interesting to note the 'as above so below' correlation with the January Eclipse. Click on it to enlarge the map below and note how the eclipse had angularity at this location - as did Mars the planet of aggressive energy.

Need I say more? In this instance pictures speak louder than words. As I mentioned in my last post, there is pattern, order and harmony in the Universe. The most we can hope to do is recognise these patterns and try to learn from them (and perhaps learn to pinpoint precise locations that are at high risk of events) but we will only do that when Scientists give the 'as above, so below' phenomenon their full attention.

THE AQUA and AFLOCKOLYPSE

What has been going on here, with the sudden and unexplained death of all this wildlife? Well far be it for me to assume I can solve an international mystery, but the coincidence of there being a Jupiter/Uranus alignment in the sky during the window of these deaths across the planet does flag up the word 'electromagnetic'.

Just as the planet Uranus has been seen to correlate to the flash of lightning or the electric shock from electrical currents (or electrical pulses) so it is very much associated with electrical 'currents in the air' or in waves which travel through the air but may impact water and fish (especially when in the sign of Pisces). At first I thought the culprit may just be the cold weather air currents circulating the globe causing elevated, but understandable, die offs from freak weather conditions - that was until I opened this week's Sunday Times.

Page 6 of the News section talks about how in any future war the first act "is likely to be a devastating electrical attack"*. Apparently Defence Staff in the US, UK, Russia, Iran and locations across the globe are pouring money and resources into attack and defence strategies/weapons to guard against energy attacks on Cyber operations (i.e Internet) using high powered microwave transmission (HPM) and High Altitude Electromagnetic Pulses (HEMP). See this document from as far back as 2004 Apparently, these pulses are beamed down from Satellites or devices are dropped from aircraft whilst Special Forces may be actively planting microwave transmitters to maximise the damage inflicted on targets. It's a shame I cannot show you the graphic that accompanies the Sunday Times article. If I could you would see that it is almost certain that any wildlife lying anywhere in the vicinity (trajectory) of these pulses is going to be affected. What we also need to know is how could these weapons - even the testing of them - affect humans?

This is not the first incidence of mass bird die offs. Indeed the authorities tell us they are a regular occurrence across the planet, but the last time an unusual case came to global media attention was in Jan 2007 in Esperance, Australia and the USA It would be ridiculous to think that these weapons which the authorities are perfecting are not being tried out for their efficiency somewhere, and my instinctive hunch is that these birds and fish may be what is termed 'collateral damage' in this quest to protect us (there's a paradox or irony in there somewhere!).

I was also intrigued to see the news report that a top Military expert in biological and chemical warfare, who served under three US Presidents, was found murdered at the New Year. Whilst I am committed to helping to bring people to a higher awareness of our connectivity to the Comos we inhabit, and to an understanding of how we can co-create our lives, I am also a truthseeker and this does seem like a bit of a coincidence.

Of course we can't rule out increased electromagnetic 'issues' from the Sun either. Spaceweather.com has been reporting about some incredible solar flares and winds up in the heavens in the past few weeks.

Update A kind reader just sent me this link. The scale of what is happening is far broader than many suppose. The mystery continues. Is it linked to the Dioxin that made its way into animal feed in Europe or to 'Cloud/weather seeding' perhaps? Eric Francis at Planetwaves has also written about this in detail. What a start to the year this is going to be. Read why in my recent newsletter here.

I received a lovely little book for Christmas which, by rights, should be topping the best seller list across the globe. It is called The Little Book of Coincidence of the Solar System.

I believed it must have been purchased as a direct result of my blog post just before Christmas, in which I extolled the sagacity of HRH The Prince of Wales for introducing a book at this time in history entitled, Harmony.

In his book the Prince draws readers attention to the sacred geometry of the planets and the 'Grand Design' visible in the proportions of the natural world and the movement of the planets. It turns out though that it was the book I had received (see left) which had informed the Prince's book. It was written in 2001 and revised in 2006. On researching the author, John Martineau, I discovered he undertook a project at The Prince's School of Traditional Arts which focused on the geometry and harmony of the Solar System. Are you with me so far?

This tale doesn't end there though for the gifter had not noticed the small receipt tucked tightly into the middle of the book. This informed me it had been purchased in October. So there was a synchronicity about my being drawn to the book by Prince Charles and posting about it on my blog and then a few days later receiving the book that had informed it -called Coincidence - which had already been purchased. The Cosmic Joker's at work again.

I just love the opening dedication in the Martineau book. It says:

To people who have tragically grown up in a world devoid of magical cosmology

Too right.

Meanwhile I have also been reading a great book by Carol Adrienne for about a week now. Carol co-authored The Celestine Prophecy Experiential Guide with James Redfield - a book which some of you may know was all about synchronicity! This book I was reading is another from her stable about finding the purpose of your life. So I am sitting down reading it when the phone rings and it's my friend Annie, a life coach. We were chatting and I made mention of a book being written by a colleague, another Coach and her book title is Cruise Control - a Guide to Effortless Success. This uses the metaphor of cars and rules of the road for navigating your way through life. Our conversation ended I returned to my book by Carol (written in 1999) flipped over the pages and read the heading Perceiving and Living the Rules of the Road followed by the subtitle Apply the rules of the road for effortless success (p135). What are the chances of that within minutes of my phone conversation?

I've observed this phenomenon before however. Whenever I read Synchro-Destiny by Deepak Chopra, the synchronicities flood in one after another. Where attention goes energy truly does flow! I should write a book about the ones that have happened to me. One of the truly astounding ones I mentioned a few weeks ago here.

What is the point of synchronicity though, other than for our mild amusement and occasional awe? I think it is proof of the material and spiritual (mind) being part of one truth. The increase in their occurrence is all part of the shift in consciousness that has been gathering pace in recent years - or maybe it is not a shift but simply that the natural evolution of our consciousness has brought us to the point of no longer being able to deny our overall connectivity to everything (and that includes every thought) we experience and encounter.

On January 4th, 2011 there is a Solar Eclipse to open up the new year. This is when the Sun, Moon and Earth align. John Martineau refers to this as The Alchemical Wedding. John writes: "According to modern muggle cosmology ( he's using a phrase from Harry Potter) this (an eclipse) is just a coincidence, but any good wizard will tell you the balance between these two primary bodies is clear proof of a very ancient magic" He goes on to say that all of the time cycles involving the Sun-Moon-Earth system turn out to be accurately defined as simple combinations of the numbers 18, 19 and the golden section of 0.618.

Add 18 to 0.618 (the Golden Section) gives us 18.618.

18 years is the Saros Eclipse Cycle

18.618 years is the revolution of the Moon's nodes

The Eclipse year is 18.618 X 18.618 days

19 years is the Metonic Cycle

and 12 Full Moons- the Islamic Year is 18.618 x 19 days

Just coincidence? No way. We live in a precisely ordered Universe and when you come to realise just how ordered it is the only conclusion we can draw, with the limits of our present consciousness, is that we might as well forget any notion that we can control or intervene in what is unfolding and instead use our energy on harmonising with these forces - collaborating with our fate!

Why Prince Charles is not too dangerous to be King

There seem to be two types of people in this world- those who 'think outside of the box' and those who are firmly locked within it! This is fine if the distribution of both is equal - as the ideal state in all things is always one of balance. The problem for humanity at the moment however is that the scales are severely out of kilter; there are simply too many people who are locked in paradigms that stifle the prospects of ever achieving harmony in the population.

Some wise souls set out to try and help redress the balance, indeed they know it is their life's work to be of service in this way, but in doing so they also know they will have to deal with the reactions of those with the most closed minds. This became acutely apparent this week when some scathing critiques of a book and documentary film by Prince Charles (motto - I serve) appeared.

The Prince's book, 'Harmony - a new way of looking at our world (HarperCollins Publishers) is a clarion call to those who are not so 'closed' but rather are sitting on the fence to wake up and realise our global need to understand more about, and get back into harmony with, the rhythms of nature and the wisdom passed down to us through history by the ancient people of this planet. In the book Charles uses the term 'whole-istic’ – to emphasise how the whole of society needs to be overhauled, from medicine and education to technology, science and architecture.

Instead of being applauded for his awareness and contribution however, just look at this critique entitled: Why Prince Charles is too dangerous to be King, penned by historian and former editor of The Daily Telegraph, Max Hastings.

I am convinced that if he becomes King he will persist in trying to save the world, and thus precipitate a crisis. He craves the return of what he thinks was a happier, simpler, more ‘natural’ world — for instance, he deplores interference with primitive tribes.....He (Charles) writes ‘If we continue to engineer the extinction of the last remaining indigenous, traditional societies, we eliminate one of the last remaining sources of wisdom.’

Well, if those are the views of a man 'unfit to be King' I would love to read what would make Max Hastings say "He would be a perfect King". Max wrote:

"Modern kings and queens must remain distant symbols of glamour, beauty and decency — or they become nothing".

How banal. Surely that is the very root of the problem in this country, and in the wider world; there are too many leaders seeking the power that was conferred on Charles by birth, but who are unable to exercise that power due to the need to keep political votes. Prince Charles is well placed to lead the 'revolution' that some can only dream of! Why should he just be a mute figurehead?

Returning to the article and referencing someone else's views (but possibly only because they concur with his own) Hastings also remarks:

"I heard one of the cleverest men in Britain, master of an Oxbridge college, quite calmly say the other night: ‘The best hope for the monarchy is that Prince Charles dies before the Queen.’...‘We spend our lives here educating a new generation to understand that rational behaviour requires us to reach conclusions and make decisions by examining evidence...Yet now we have the heir to the throne demanding.. that we should reject science and evidence in favour of following our instincts. This is surely disturbing.’

In days gone by a piece like this one would never have seen the light of day and even further back in time some of us would be passing by the head of Hastings as it was skewered to Tower Bridge! The words are particularly surprising considering the founder of The Royal Society - that august establishment which deals with examining evidence, and which Hastings would revere, wrote:

Let the mind, so far as it can, be open to the fullness of the Mysteries;
Let not the Mysteries be constrained to fit
the narrow confines of the mind.
Francis Bacon (1561-1626)

All we can assume is that the mind of Mr Hastings et al cannot be opened very far at all!

Far from being too dangerous to be King, the Prince is steeped in the ancient wisdoms (the Mysteries). He has spent years seeking the advice, views and the friendship of some of the most sagacious men and women in the world; including the humanitarian Sir Laurens Van der Post* (a friend of Carl Jung) and the Dalai Lama. He has been espousing many of his views that are in this book for at least 20 years. Here for example is something Charles said in 1989:

"Never has it been more important to recognise the imbalance that has seeped into our lives and deprived us of a sense of meaning because we have concentrated on the development of the intellect to the detriment of the spirit"**

Charles is a man of such profound wisdom that he will know it is absolutely no coincidence that this book, released in November,is being widely spoken about this week just when the Sun has been traversing the position of the Galactic Centre (see my previous post on 26 Sagittarius and the introduction of news or ideas which have the potential to change humanity) and in the week of a rare total lunar eclipse on the Cosmic Cross, of the Solstices and Equinoxes. There is a greater order at work and it is the perfect time to bring some of this wisdom to the public -

The orbits of the planets are not perfectly circular, but it is possible to refine their elliptical shapes without altering their length so that they become perfect circles. Such a circle is called the "mean orbit" of the planet. John Martineau found that putting scaled drawings of the mean orbits of the Earth and Mercury together on a piece of paper reveals an extraordinary correspondence between them.- read full extract here

I think the nation is ready for, and needs, a visionary leader . One can't help but think that the entire globe should feel blessed to have such a wise man as King of the the commonwealth countries and Defender of Faith - as and when it occurs.

The coincidence of a Total Lunar Eclipse and Solstice on 20/21 Dec 2010
That Scientists and academics are not infallible was shown quite clearly this week when a 'mere' astrologer like me had to point out that a news release circulating around the Internet from Dr Tony Phillips of NASA was wrong. Even some of my fellow astrologers questioned my expertise over this because it had come from such a prominent source, but then Dr Phillips suddenly replaced his original assertion that the last time we had a total Lunar eclipse coinciding with the Solstice was in 1378. A little bit of easy research had showed me that this date was inaccurate.

Dr Phillips changed his article to say that the last time it had occurred was 1638 but again he is wrong. The last time was actually 1703. Let's see if it gets changed again.

On top of all this there was another date doing the rounds of blogs, Twitter and news stories that was wholly inaccurate. This one said the last time the solstice/total lunar eclipse happened was in 1554 - 456 years ago. This spread like wildfire. How many other things that are just not true sweep around and we take them as fact without a second thought? Is Julian Assange a sex fiend?? It makes you wonder how we can keep a handle of truth versus retweets, inaccuracy and lies. The good news is things will get slightly better regarding misinformation when the Mercury Rx period ends after 30th Dec.

Wikileaks - Cyberspace and the Galactic Centre

The big news this week has been the escalation of the Wikileaks furore and the arrest of Julian Assange. This topic has been covered from virtually all angles so let's try and find a new one.

As I have mentioned in other posts recently (scroll down, press home or look in the previous editions in the right hand sidebar) the date and time which an organisation is established is very important. It becomes 'the moment in the cycle of overall time' that can give us an insight into the larger pattern - Google Holographic Universe or Fractal Time or click here and you will get a feel for what I am saying. The 'whole' is in every part.

So with specific moment in time in mind - documents show that Wikileaks was formally established on 4 Oct 2006 at 05.54.19 UTC/GMT. Although the registered address was Belmont, CA, the location for this information is effectively in cyberspace, therefore, if we are mapping the time cycles from our viewpoint on Earth, known as the geocentric view, it is best to set our map to Greenwich date line then divide the heavens into equal sections of 30 degrees each and put the Sun on the first section. I believe this is the best thing to do for websites of this nature as they are not location specific. Here then is the map of the 'founding' of Wikileaks.org

The Sun was in Libra, sign of fair play, and justice - and ultimately of the judgement of truth (see last weeks post). The Moon had just entered Pisces and is in applying aspect to the planet of information Mercury in Scorpio (which unearths and brings hidden information to light). The Sun is conjoined to Mars (also in Libra) - the planet of war, anger, exposure and cutting through to get to that truth. This is all perfect symbolism for an organisation which states it was established for "providing a universal way for the revealing of suppressed and censored injustices".

By the way, when things happen very fast or have great impetus you can often find the Sun in aspect to Mars and the word Wiki means quick. Mars in this chart (wiki) is in exact 120 degree relationship to the planet of leaks, Neptune - Wiki leaks!. The Mercury/Moon contact also backs that up. The symbolism of the planetary positions often give an indication of the name given to the person/place or thing (or vice versa).

Anyway, back to Wikileaks.org, the rest of the delineation of the chart for that founding can probably be seen on many astrological sites on the Internet. What interests me however is what we could term 'the view from Cyberspace'. If we remove ourselves from an Earth centered view and have a peek at what was happening in the sky from the perspective of the Sun centred system looking back at Earth, we literally get a different 'angle' of information - and in this case it's fascinating.

On 4th Oct 2006 at the time of the founding of Wikileaks.org, Mercury the planet of the exchange of information was exactly conjoined to Pluto the planet of secrets at 26 degrees in exact 90 degree (square) relationship to Venus and all three planets have a precise relationship to the area that astronomers pinpoint as the Galactic Centre at 26 Sagittarius.

Whenever planets are close to the GC at 26 Sag in a natal chart, or planets move to aspect 26 Sag (heliocentrically or geocentrically) it has been noted that the place, subject, person or entity we are tracking the cycles of - or what comes to light on that day - has the potential to become of global interest and somehow influence the course of the unfolding of humanity. The area in which this will occur will be of the nature of the planets contacting the GC either in the natal chart or transiting. So, for example, Venus may have a 'financial' affect as well as a diplomatic one. Pluto and Mercury would relate to information that is explosive but ultimately transformational.

In this next chart you will see how geocentric Mercury was on the Galactic Centre (GC) point of 26 Sag on 28 November 2010 when Wikileaks began to release the US Embassy cables from 1966-Feb 2010**

I could write pages about how the 4 Oct 2006 chart has shown the entire unfolding of this whistleblowing saga and the events surrounding its editor-in-chief, Julian Assange but I'll concentrate on this Galactic point....

When the furore was at its height last week and the authorities were moving in on Mr Assange, Mars was travelling across this 26 Sag degree point in the helio chart. The fact that geocentric Neptune and Chiron have been sitting at 26 degrees Aquarius for an inordinate amount of time this year and that Uranus is at 26 Pisces right now with Jupiter heading there this week PLUS the fact that the all important North Node will be heading to aspect the Galactic Centre in 2011, is important. It's almost as if everything is literally pointing to there being a black hole - a dark spot in our understanding - of world affairs. The dates to watch for further unfoldings in this battle for freedom to disseminate information which may be in the public (global) interest are when the Sun moves towards 26 Sag and Mercury retrogrades over 26 Sag and that happens this week and on through to 21st Dec. 23/24th and 30 Jan 2011 is another window to watch and the node arrives at 26 Sag on 31st Mar to early April 2011.

However this story is not going to suddenly go away. With Neptune due to move to the natal Moon position of Wikileaks.org at 0 Pisces the leaks could turn to a deluge in 2011. Consequently this looks like the beginning of the Cyberwar that myself and other astrologers have long been anticipating as a result of the known movement of geocentric and heliocentric Uranus into Aries in early 2011. Now that these 'hacktivists' - many of whom are very young and were born when Pluto was in Scorpio, which gives them an obsession with unearthing corruption - have been galvanised by the cause of Wikileaks and the arrest of Mr Assange (who himself was born with Pluto square to 26 Sag) they have had a taste of the power they can exert, and I fear there is no putting the lid back on this one.

With Pluto now in Capricorn for the next 12 years the complete destruction (and then rejuvenation in a better form) of the 'Establishment' and any corrupt bastions of authority, especially financial institutions, is foretold. Whilst every effort will be exerted by the Governments involved to quash and silence this uprising, the truth will always eventually come out. Sadly, Jupiter and Uranus moving to Aries suggests much of it will be shocking and cause violent upheavals and revolutions throughout 2011/2012. Is Wikileaks therefore something we should denounce? I don't believe so. The transparency they are campaigning for can surely only be for the benefit of humanity and move us all towards higher levels of consciousness in the long term. We have to become aware that actions reap consequences and the actions of those in positions of power can reap large. long term consequences for the population if the power is abused. This though includes Mr Assange and the actions of his activists. Bringing down sites like Mastercard or Paypal just before Xmas can have consequences for those who are innocent of any wrongdoing - and so we come full circle; Wikileaks and it's organisers need to hold onto some semblance of (Libran) balance and fairness when exposing the corrupt and asserting their right to freedom of speech.

'I Just Want To Be Happy' plus astrology and the extremes of Professor Cox

If you delve beneath all the problems which people present with in consulting rooms – or living rooms - across the globe; if you look beneath the protestations that there is something wrong with the i) job ii) partner iii) finances iv) friends v) home vi) TV scheduling (whatever the individual concern is) you will see that, at heart, everyone is simply looking to be happy and contented.

It doesn’t matter whether one person’s benchmark for happiness is someone elses idea of hell, it is the removal of any trace of discontent or general malaise that is the Holy grail. We want to bounce out of bed every morning and say ‘Wow, it’s good to be alive’ without the need to experience a close call with death to bring us to that point.

Now I could turn what follows into a whole discourse on the nature of happiness but a short blog is not the place for that (although my finally-almost-finished book Collaborate with Fate – Ancient Wisdom for Modern Times is, plug plug, plug) what I will say here however, is that this blog chronicles our relationship to the Cosmos and on that note, this I know for sure:-

Contentment can not be found by leaving discontent behind.

Life is not possible without an interplay of opposites. We are created by the merging of the gender opposites of male and female, our brain is divided into two hemispheres, our blood is pumped around our body through the venous and arterial system, our breath is an inflow and an outflow and our sustenance depends on intake and excretion, sleep and wakefulness. We live on a planet that is in a perpetual movement through the opposites of day and night, tidal ebbs and flows and whose weather systems are driven between the interplay of warmth and cold, moisture and dryness. In short Life exists according to duality, also known as the Universal Law of Polarity (or Law of Opposites).

The entire secret to happiness and fulfillment, and therefore to overcoming any pervading sense of divine discontent – where nothing feels perfect, when outwardly everything is actually fine- lies in the acceptance of ups and downs, bad and good, happy and sad in daily life and the ability to give neither side undue importance. That’s what we call being centered!

The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion…..Covering both the natural and the spiritual, it should be based on a religious sense arising from the experience of all things natural and spiritual as a meaningful unity….. Einstein

Astrology is the language which can lead you to this centre point because it is the study of the Cosmic Religion; Man’s relationship to nature and spirit - to what lies above in the heavens and below on Earth with man as the mirror in between.For example Saturn the planet whose cycles and their divisions we associate with lessons and the crystallisation of our physical form is currently in the 180-210 division of the circle we derive from the apparent path of the Sun; the Ecliptic. As this is half way around the 360 degrees of the full circle, we equate this section to balance and polarity and we name this section Libra. So Saturn's in Libra, sign of the scales and the manifestation of this for me is to write about lessons in collaboration and balance. For you it will be different but for sure the underlying theme at this time will somehow involve issues of relating and justice.

Her diadem has 5 rays as 5 is the number of Venus and beauty ( and there are 5 more zodiac signs above these two shown)

Here Lady Justice is holding aloft her sword (Aries) with which she will pierce the veil of ignorance* in order to arrive at truth and justice shown by the scales ( Libra) which are in her other hand. The truth is that we must bring the will (Aries) into balance (Libra) Aries and Libra lie opposite each other in the circle of the zodiacal signs.

Professor Brian Cox is expanding the frontiers of ignorance
What is written above about centeredness is something that eludes Professor Brian Cox. I know this because he took another stab (with the sword of his tongue) at astrology this week in The RTS Huw Weldon Lecture shown on the BBC (go to BBC I-Player and fast forward to 8.27mins) but his words failed to pierce through and deliver the balanced truth.

It’s not surprising, for the ‘astrology’ which the Prof knows is probably not about the study of Man and his inter relationship with the Cosmos but solely about whether as a Pisces he's compatible with his wife! (That's like comparing MacDonald's to a Michelin star restaurant. Both offer food it just depends what type of meal you are looking for). Throw in a belief that astrology is fortune telling or about psychic ability and I’m not surprised he mocks it from this stance of ignorance. In fact, in his lecture he quotes Richard Feynman so I will use another Feynman quote. Feynman said"...there is an expanding frontier of ignorance.” and I say Cox is perpetuating it. Furthermore Feynman went on to say.."things must be learned only to be unlearned again or, more likely, to be corrected."

We can only hope that one day Professor Cox comes over from that extreme belief that life can only be quantified, systematised, rationalised and tested – the side we know as Modern Science and towards the Ancient Science (Philosophy Philo = Love Sophia = Wisdom) where intuition and gnosis (the apprehension of spiritual truths) reside, and announce that he has to stand corrected about astrology. For it is between these two pillars of Science and Spirituality; reason and intuition; physical being and spiritual consciousness that the real beauty of the truth of our existence lies.

So to come full circle with regard to happiness it is there, in the center, that we find a place of equilibrium known as Harmony. Harmony is beauty and engenders the feeling we call Love. Hence why the heart, where blood comes together in the divided chambers, is said to be the place of Love. Happiness is therefore all about bringing oneself (and one’s opinions) into balance - which usually happens when one is in possession of the full facts!

Thanks to a Facebook friend I was alerted to this fascinating article about, what the journalist calls 'the sensational claim being made by University of Oxford theoretical physicist Roger Penrose', that we exist in a cyclical Cosmos.

"He does not believe that space and time came into existence at the moment of the Big Bang but that the Big Bang was in fact just one in a series of many, with each big bang marking the start of a new "aeon" in the history of the universe" - read the full article here.

The view, from the astrological (and ancient wisdom teachings) perspective, has always been that all existence is engaged in a perpetual evolution and involution motion - the proverbial Cosmic inbreath and outbreath. We see this on the human scale with the cycle of birth to middle age and peak vibrancy then back inwards to old age and death. We see it in the cycles of the seasons from growth of the tiny seed to full bloom and then decay. We observe it in the cycle of the Moon from invisible to full and then through to its waning. We note it in the breath; the inhalation of air into the lungs and then the slow collapse of exhalation. It exists each day in all of us as we cycle through feeling awake and then needing to sleep.

It is documented on the wider scale with the phenomenon of Precession of the Equinoxes, which astrologers and wisdom teachers know cycles us through a series of Ages (Aeons) and that each of these ages have their outgoing (evolution) phase and incoming (involution) phase. So it was just a matter of time before a clever, aware Scientist set out to find evidence of these cycles on the ultimate (Macrocosmic) scale and overturn the singular Big Bang theory.

Sir Roger Penrose was elected as a Fellow of The Royal Society with good reason - here is a soul with important information to share with the world. The entire Cosmos is involved in its own unfolding sequence of cycles and from this we can only hope that other Scientists will extrapolate from his work that many of the unanswered questions in Quantum Physics will arise from a, deeper still, study of the cyclical, wave nature of all known things.

Here is a fabulous quote from Sir Roger:

"I think I would say that the universe has a purpose, it's not somehow just there by chance ... some people, I think, take the view that the universe is just there and it runs along–it's a bit like it just sort of computes, and we happen somehow by accident to find ourselves in this thing. But I don't think that's a very fruitful or helpful way of looking at the universe, I think that there is something much deeper about it."

It is interesting that this article is receiving interest now just as the planet Mercury - the Winged Messenger - which is associated with news that can assist us in obtaining deeper wisdom, is in alignment with the centre of our Galaxy. This location and alignment has been seen to coincide with the appearance of some news, or a message, which strikes to the heart of humanity!

Paul takes a tumble
The Beatle, Sir Paul McCartney, took a bit of an embarrassing tumble this week when he fell flat on his face as he left the stage after a concert in Sao Paulo. Paul was born 18 June 1942 at 2pm in Liverpool. If we take the date and time of birth of an individual and look at where the planets were at that moment and watch them unfolding, we (astrologers) call this progressing the chart. If we then look at a map of the World and see what areas of our circle of the globe the cycle (circle) of the planets are making, and look at the as above, so below correspondences, we always see an incredible coincidence (co-inciding) of planet and location. Furthermore this happened on Sunday 21 Nov 2010. On this date every year the Sun cycles to oppose Sir Paul's natal chart Uranus, planet of the unexpected and accidents. This year though was extra potent as, in the cycles of the Moon, at the time this happened the Moon was full above Sao Paulo and was also aligning with the position of the sky occupied by his natal Uranus in 1942!

Brian Marsden
The astronomer we astrologers, especially Scorpio's*, 'loved to hate' because he instigated the demotion of the planet Pluto to the lesser status of dwarf planet, died this week. Brian Marsden would have poo-pooed the very notion of astrology but astrological skywatchers will have a wry, if very sad, smile on their face when they read that:

"Marsden was entertained by the fact that Pluto was "retired" as a planet on the same day that he retired as director of the Minor Planet Center". quote from LA Times

Astrologically, the planet Pluto has always been associated with major life transitions and endings!

It is also an interesting coincidence that Brian Marsden vocalised what no one wanted to hear - that a comet 1997XF11 could be on a collision course with Earth in 2028 - but was instantly 'rebuked' for saying this. Marsden was dubbed ' the herald of fear'. The fact that he has now died of a disease (dis- ease = dis harmony) of the vocal centre, throat cancer, is something that Metaphysicians would see as being energetically linked.

Fractal Wisdom - Microcosm/Macrocosm

Another one off post this week as opposed to a round up........

Have you ever wondered why looking at the moment that anything happens - whether that is a birth, the opening of a building, the moment of an announcement, the time of a wedding - appears to hold so much significance to astrologers? Well, it's because it presents us with a frozen moment in time. We (perhaps it would be more accurate to say, some of us) believe that all that has happened and ever will happen is contained in the present moment because the present moment can be viewed as akin to taking a slice of cake from a cake, a layer of an onion from an onion, or one drop of blood from the blood - the constituent components of the whole will be contained in any slice or part of it.

The microcosm is within the macrocosm and vice versa that is to say, the same patterns are reproduced in all levels of the Cosmos, from the largest scale, which is the macrocosmic or universal-level, all the way down to the smallest scale; the microcosmic or sub-sub-atomic quantum level. A more modern day terminology for this is Fractal Wisdom and here in the video you can hear Bruce Lipton PhD talking about this.

The author Gregg Braden has also done a lot of work in bringing people to an awareness that even time is self replicating (fractal) and these divisions are what we more commonly know as cycles of time. All this basically means, therefore, that Gregg has given Astrology - which is the study of cycles and the fractal nature of one moment of time as seen in the law of correspondence - total credence. (see more on 'the laws' here) It also brings one to a better understanding of why it is said that the Universe is number. Geometry and Mathematics is how we measure the divisions in everything that exists.

If you are reading about Fractals and their relationship to time, and to astrology for the first time and are totally sceptical, I am not the slightest bit surprised. It requires most people to embrace a huge paradigm shift. All I can say is let your heart - and not your logic - guide you as you listen, read and research more about this. It absolutely confirms the timeless wisdom that has been conveyed to us by the ancients that what is above is like what is below (and vice versa) and what lies within is like that which lies outside (and vice versa). They studied the Earth in order to better understand what was going on in the Universe and to extrapolate what was likely to happen on the Earth, given a knowledge of the cycles of the heavens. It was noted that when things changed in the heavens there was a corresponding change amongst certain things and conditions on Earth it was therefore deduced that if one deliberately changes things on Earth (or inside oneself on the mental levels) then there will be a corresponding shift 'without'. This is the origin of Geomancy and practices like FengShui and even positive thinking.

One day we will all come to accept that there is no separation. There is one creative source in the Universe, call it God, a Supreme Power, or whatever takes your fancy, from which all that has ever and will ever exist is differentiated. Just like light is split by a prism into a rainbow of distinct colours........

We will also know that what we do affects not just us, but everyone on the planet. Gordon Ramsay's Birthday Hell Part 2 + Harry's Deathly Hallows Part 1

On November 28th 2008 I wrote the following lengthy analysis of the Hell's Kitchen Chef, Gordon Ramsay. In this I said he had 2 years to get his act together or the marriage would finally implode. Exactly 2 years later the dramatic volcanic eruptions of Gordon's life (which often surround those born under the sign of Scorpio with a heavy fire sign Leo/Sag emphasis) are again catching our attention.

This weekend it is widely expected that the lid will get blown off all the sexual and financial secrets that he has been trying to suppress - in the words of his Father-in-law, the 'buried bodies' are about to surface.

Unbeknown (I suspect) to Gordon he has subconsciously engineered all of this furore - Scorpio's are here to do 'taboos' and brutal honesty; it is part of the soul evolution of this sign on its way to wholeness, but these very public displays of angst and 'issues' also help others to vicariously learn some much needed life lessons. We should never take anything at face value, everything is always happening for a higher reason. Allowing the suppressed 'stuff' to spew out will ultimately release pressure off him, bring truth to light and restore calm - eventually.

As I said before Scorpio's do not give up on marriage easily and this very sensitive man (yes really!) is no exception. There are indications in Gordon's chart that, from this point on, the fall out of this family saga will take another complete 7 year cycle, with a major shift in 3 years. At the moment though my reason for writing is to show you the 'as above so below' correlations always exist at major turning points in a person's life.

In Gordon's birthchart the planets have progressed* from their positions at his birthday - 8 Nov 1966 - to the beginning of some new cycles in 2010. No less than 3 planets and his nodal axis are now at 00 degrees, the degree associated with death/birth. In addition the MC/IC axis which relates to career and home life is at the critical 29th degree and just about to change, indicating a major change in these areas was always inevitable. In these charts the flip to 00 degrees takes 30 years so he is ending a 30 year cycle and should look to what happened to him at around the age of 14 in order to find out what was seeded then that has now run its course - maybe his anger or sibling issues?

Here is the chart. As I say, look to the 00 degrees. It is highly unusual to have this many planets switching to a new sign at the same general time - but then he's a highly unusual man!. If I could speak to Tana, and if she loves him, I would counsel her to try and stick with this marriage even though it appears to have wreaked havoc on her entire family. Ultimately, he loves her but he (like Tana's Father) has just never learned to love himself enough.

Deathly Hallows Part 1
Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 1 opened this week - yet another Scorpionic title for a premiere taking place under the sign of Scorpio. It all ends with Part 2 next year in the sign of Cancer which is the sign associated with endings in JK Rowling's personal chart. Ms Rowling once wrote about "the movements of the planets and the mysterious portents they reveal to those who understand the steps of the celestial dance"* I have little doubt that she will understand that, like Gordon Ramsay, her chart is reflecting her transition to a new phase of life now too. JK Rowling was born one year before Gordon but for her a number of 30 year cycles are also at an end. Again this is highly unusual but she's another exceptional person. Like Gordon, she also has 3 planets just moved to 00 degrees and Pluto moves in 2012. Here is that chart:

The next chart (above) shows that when the final Part 2 is released on Jul 13th-15th 2011 the Sun will precisely trine JK's Chiron - a place of pain and Jupiter will be exactly angular to her Sun from her 10th solar house which is the pinnacle of achievement. The only way in this cycle is down now. She probably needs to bow out when she is at the top and concentrate on her personal life and not be tempted to revisit the Harry era from 2012 onwards. Letting go is never easy for Scorpios or for Leos, as they are both fixed signs, but let go she (and Gordon) must if they are to flow with the steps of the celestial dance.

Breathtaking Synchronicity plus Sun Storms, Sunspots & BT

Before I move to the normal news items, first I would like to share this synchronicity. Yesterday was a New Moon. A New Moon is when the Sun and Moon conjoin. In the alchemical table the joining of the symbols of the Sun and Moon = Platinum (see symbol above). I should make it plain before continuing that this symbol for Platinum is something I was not aware of until now.

Last night a girlfriend mentioned that she had been prescribed the remedy 'Platinum' by her Homeopath. When she told me this my mind very, very briefly strayed to a thought of my wedding ring which was made of Platinum. Today I was shovelling leaves into piles at the front of my house. As I picked up the first mound of leaves to throw them into a bin my Platinum wedding ring which I haven't seen, yet alone worn, for over 4 years (divorce and I have moved house in this period) fell out of the leaves and onto the driveway!

This can only have been the Law of Correspondence (the unity which underlies manifold form) at work.

MORE GEO STORMS
Take a look at this amazing photograph. The picture, captured by Ole Christian Salomonsen, shows a geomagnetic storm in Norway on November 4th - the next one is expected on Nov 9th/10th.

BT
It's all happening up above us again this week - the Sun continues to hurl some incredible Solar flares into Space. This is the 3rd M-flare eruption in as many days from the lively sunspot number 1121. NASA says these flares are not pointed at Earth yet but something is affecting us. I lost my Internet connection just as I was about to publish this blog on Friday and didn't get it back until today. Apparently the problem has been widespread in the UK - maybe elsewhere too for a while? The BT (British Telecom) operative in India (!) who I spoke to today told me BT have tens of thousands of affected customers and when questioned further he said they will be paying out 9 pounds per day in compensation for lack of connection and it may take up to a week to correct this problem.

I doubt you will hear that much about this outage as the PR damage limitation machine will be in overdrive (to keep the share price stable?) but is it a BT problem, or were they just unlucky. Did the outage occur because their exchanges got affected by the intense Solar activity of the last few weeks and next time it could be Verizon, AT&T or one of the other big providers in the US or worldwide?.

I have repeatedly warned that the astrology shows the next big global nightmare is likely to occur when Solar activity (or terrorism) starts wiping out our Internet connectivity. Make sure your company has a Plan B in the event you are without Internet for long periods.

As we would expect, the chart of BT shows very precisely the mirror of celestial activity to terrestrial. The planet Saturn (which has a correspondence to limitation) has just moved to be in exact opposition to BT's Sun position (using the chart for the name BT) Transiting Saturn is also in exact square to their natal Uranus (unexpected breakdowns). The Sun had just moved into the 8th Solar house (loss). Here is that chart:

Volcanic Eruptions, Bombs, Explosions, Sex Scandals, Miscarriages, Pregnancies, Murders, Large scale deaths, underworld activity and abnormally gruesome stories - all have been in the news this week (more than normal) which can only mean one thing - we are travelling through the phase of the tilt of Earth which places the Sun 210-240 degrees of celestial longitude as measured from the Equinoctial point i.e. we are in the astrological Sun sign of Scorpio!.

In much the same way that we know that in November in the Northern Hemisphere we can always expect less daylight and, at mid latitudes, the leaves will fall from the trees, the position of the Sun always informs us of the type of 'themes' we can expect to encounter in the news in November (those listed above precisely fit the bill). The other planets fill in the finer detail. For example Mars will correlate to the subjects that get 'energised' now and as Mars is currently in Sagittarius that speaks of us seeing stories about the Media, Airlines and airline personnel, Broadband Services, Legal issues, Sports events and establishments, Religion, Wealthy people, Educational buildings, Politics, Horses, Space Missions and events of a Scorpionic nature (death, birth transformation) particularly those involving Sagittarians, in the news.

QANTAS
The exact position of the Sun, and other planets, is seen by Sky Watchers to set up a particular resonance with specific events on Earth. When flights were halted throughout Europe earlier this year the 12 degree Scorpio/Taurus axis was being activated. Now, just as 'The Flying Kangaroo' Qantas, has to ground some planes, lo and behold (a phrase which effectively means as below, so above) the Sun was also at 12 Degrees Scorpio.

There's more. The resonance 'sings and reverberates' far and wide - in fact back across the decades, for Qantas began on 16 November 1920 (signed on 15th Nov, registered 16th) making it a 'Scorpionic' Airline. The Airbus A380 was first rolled out by Qantas when it took delivery of that model on 19 Sep 2008 - when the Sun/Pluto midpoint was 12 Scorpio.

NEW MOON
The New Moon's at 13 Scorpio in the early hours of Saturday 6th November GMT. The 223rd degree of celestial longitude spot (13 degrees Scorpio) is an exact 45 degree angle from the position of Pluto (explosions) of the Qantas 19th Sep 2008 delivery of the A380 chart. As I write this I see a second plane made an emergency landing in Singapore, a plane came down in Cuba last night and one in Karachi. Additionally the continuing eruption of Mount Merapi is diverting flight paths around Indonesia. Astrologers, this 11/12/13 degree Scorpio axis is definitely one to watch with regard to airline issues when other planets aspect it.

THE 'HOUR GLASS FIGURE' COMET

A fabulous image of Comet Hartley 2 has been released after the fly by of the EPOXI probe mission:

It looks like it is wearing a belt. Meanwhile Astronomers are calling it a peanut or dumbbell comet. I see it like one of the ten pins you get at the bowling alley. Take a look at more pics at Spaceweather.com

"Researchers expressed their continued amazement at Comet Hartley 2's hyperactivity. The comet is absolutely bristling with gaseous jets even on the comet's nightside where volatile ices are shielded from solar heating. They also noted distinct lines of jets tracing the comet's day-night terminator, a phenomenon never seen before". www.spaceweather.com

PLUTO NODE CONJUNCTION
This week (Tuesday evening GMT) we will see a conjunction of the planetoid Pluto to the Nodal axis. A Pluto North Node conjunction is not extremely rare - it last happened in 1994 and before that on 1 Nov 1977 - but one has not occurred at 3 Capricorn (270 degrees of celestial longitude) at any time in recorded history. The nearest I could find was at 00 Capricorn in 0205BC.

These conjunctions are associated with karmic events involving large groups of people and the gathering of crowds. They are also thought to have correlations to turning points in destiny, personal and social. People who have the conjunction natally are more likely to be directly affected by this conjunction.

Eruptions Above, Eruptions Below!

RUSSIA 'Two volcanoes have erupted on Russia's far-eastern Kamchatka Peninsula, tossing massive ash clouds miles into the air, forcing flights to divert and blanketing one town with thick, heavy ash. The Klyuchevskaya Sopka, Eurasia's highest active volcano, exploded along with the Shiveluch volcano, 45 miles to the north-east, the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry's branch in Kamchatka said, adding that flights in the area had to change course.' INDONESIA Mount Merapi, Indonesia's most active volcano, whose eruption killed 32 people earlier this week, erupted again Thursday, spewing ash and deadly heat clouds, an official said.
THE SUN 'One of the biggest solar flares in months is exploding from the surface of our sun this week (week beginning 21 Oct). It's right at the center of a roiling filament of magnetism'. Earlier today (Thursday), NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) recorded a spectacular eruption on the sun's northeastern limb. An unstable magnetic filament hundreds of thousands of kilometers long pirouetted and launched a fragment of itself into space.

Coincidence? Of course not. As above So Below! As I said last week 'Hang onto your hats' we are heading into a period of severe turbulence between now and the December Solstice eclipse, as Pluto aligns with the Moon's nodal axis and a number of other alignments occur. (Watch late Nov to Dec 6-14 especially).

More on Venus' Activity - and Pluto
Last week I wrote about the 2012 transit of Venus across the face of the Sun. This week is also a special, if not so rare, time for Venus watchers as the planet is at its closest proximity to Earth right now (Friday 29th Oct) This is the stage of its cycle where it passes between Earth and the Sun. This phase is known as Inferior Conjunction. The 2012 transit occurs because of this Inferior Conjunction too but due to the fact that Venus is currently not exactly aligned with its node, it will not create an exact passage across the face of the Sun as it will in June '12.

Here's the heliocentric chart for this 2010 Inferior Conjunction- the green cross is the Earth.

This astrological chart shows that, from this heliocentric vantage point the inferior conjunction is exactly aligned to Pluto. So which ever way you cut it (geocentrically or helio) then Pluto, the planet which we sky watchers associate with 'volcanic activity' - of an actual and metaphorical nature - is repeatedly highlighted in coming months.

The cycles of Venus were of the greatest importance to our ancient ancestors and, if you have never done so before, you may like to read up about the heart-fold and pentagrammatic patterns of this planet's travels. There is a brilliant animation just under 1/3 of the way down this page showing the way the Pentagram shape is formed by the cycles of Venus. Look for the animation titled The Pentagonal Synodic Series.

Note too: Correlations between celestial events and terrestrial happenings suggest Libran's and Taureans (who were born at a time which corresponds to the planet Venus) may find themselves 'disappearing' from view to recoup or regroup until 3/4 November. They may not get back up to speed until after the 18th November when the planet resumes direct motion .For the rest of us some financial matters (or love matter) may become obscured or difficult to discern and it won't be until after the 3/4th Nov that information comes to light and we can see how to proceed. True progress may not happen until after the 18th. Objects of value or beauty which disappear may appear again so don't give up on them too soon. Which leads me neatly to this story..............

Undoubtedly the mystery will continue until at least the 4th November!

Ancient Asteroid
Meanwhile, researchers " have evidence suggesting that an asteroid roughly 200 yards (183 meters) wide crashed off the coast of New Jersey and sent tsunamis surging toward what is now New York City some 2,300 years ago". Although undersea volcanoes and earthquakes are the normal trigger for a tsunami to occur, they believe this one was caused by an asteroid crashing into the sea. With Mars/Mercury/Pluto and the Moon' s North Node aligning at the exact time of the annual Geminids meteor shower in December, when an average of 50 meteors per hour streak through our skies, it could be a particularly interesting 'shower' this year and you may like to head on out into the night and look up and around, but I don't think we all need to move inland!

Seven days ago I asked readers to consider whether the date for the end of the Mayan Calendar may have been miscalculated. See that article here. Today I awoke to the ABC news headline that the date is indeed most likely to be inaccurate. Synchronicity?

2012 Doomsday date may be wrong

However, whilst many media outlets are running with the story that the end date of the Calendar has been postponed. The truth is that it may have already happened - or, as I postulated last week - it may be about to happen! (Kudos to Fox News for reporting this part correctly).

What may not be widely understood is that some people believe the Maya did not pin the 'end date' to the Solstice and its supposed line up with the galactic centre, but to the rare* transit of Venus over the face of the Sun. That's all well and good and one of these transits does indeed happen in 2012 - albeit on June 6th 2012 not December 21st 2012 - however, although we know the entire Mayan cosmology had Venus as a central 'figure' it is important for people to brush up on the facts and not get carried away by hype, because the truth is that these rare Venus transits come in pairs and the last one was in 2004. This was a time when our December Solstice did also (and still does, and still will for years to come) roughly align to the Dark Rift - the Galactic Plane. Therefore, the 'end date' may indeed already have happened.

As far as the apocalyptic endings and things falling from Space are concerned - a quick look back at the news of that year, 2004, shows it was an intense Hurricane season and there were some mighty powerful and destructive earthquakes, plus a meteorite fell to Earth in New Zealand. An apocalyptic year though? Maybe not. But we can date an increased uptake and upsurge in our connectivity via the Internet (and other technology) to around 2004 so it makes sense that the Mayan's may have seen the start date of a new era as beginning from 2004 and culminating with the second 2012 Venus transit. In which case this December's Solstice activity is key to what may unfold by the June 6th 2012 transit** So, read my previous article and hang on to your hats in the next few months!

More Cycle Watching
A few posts ago I singled out Tenerife as 'resonating' to the current Venus/Mars in Scorpio cycle and asked readers to watch out for news events involving the island in coming weeks. I like to follow up on these things and a quick Google news search of Tenerife does show an above average number of 'serious' news events on the island in recent weeks.

How does this help anyone? "Things are always happening in Tenerife", I hear you say and yes, you would be right, but as I wrote then "it offers us an opportunity to see if other events associated with Mars/Venus conjunctions,and the 11th/12th/13th degrees of Scorpio and 4 Dec 1972 re-occur".

For skywatchers the news items above come as additional 'proof' that certain degrees of the 360 degree circle of the ecliptic do seem to resonate to specific planetary alignments, themes and locations - which is one of the fundamental tenets of astrology and cycle watching. My greatest hope is that one day the general public will watch sky charts like they do the weather maps. Weathermen can't always say when it is definitely going to rain but they warn you to carry an umbrella in certain areas and most people take heed of their advice. One day I am sure everyone will wake up to the as above so below principle, and the cyclical nature of all life, and listen to Astrologers once again.

Chilean Coincidence
One of the most ridiculous things I read this week was this: The Odd Masonic Imagery surrounding the 33 Chilean Miners Whilst I am not condemning the writer of this, and much of his information about Masonic emblems is sound, to include the suggestion that this may have been a planned ritual is... well it's almost beyond belief. Some readers will find it fascinating to witness though, how there are certain metaphysical laws at work which bring about these 'synchronicities' Therefore as this 'Odd Masonic Imagery' article educates people about symbolism and allows me to link once more to my piece on the Universal Laws I'm adding it in.

2012 Solstice event comes early - in 2010 to be precise!

Last week someone forwarded an e-mail to me which stated the fact that there are 5 Fridays , Saturdays and Sundays in the month of October 2010. The message went on to say that the last time this happened was 823 years ago. On further investigation it turns out that this event is not so rare at all. The last time it happened was in January this year and the last time it happened in the month of October was 2004.

What this discovery underlines is the ease in which false information can fly around the global village and then, potentially, be assimilated as truth by the collective. OK, with this one, some basic mathematics would quickly reveal it to be a hoax but what about subjects of which the majority of people have no way of checking to see if it is fact? How much absolute baloney has been accepted as unassailable truth by vast swathes of the population?

You would need to have been living on a different planet not to have come across the rumour and hype surrounding the supposed end date of the Mayan Calendar in 2012 and the Earth shift/Consciousness shift (delete as you wish) expected to occur on the December 21st Solstice in two years time. Unfortunately - like the 5 Fridays e-mail - as only a small proportion of the general population are able to understand the spatial relationship between the Earth, Sun and the Galactic coordinates, it is difficult to sort fact from fiction.

As I have said before, from the astrological/astronomical point of view there really is nothing particularly notable about the much talked about 2012 date. What has come to light however is that THIS years December 21st Solstice is fairly remarkable - definitely from the astrological point of view, but also from an astronomical one. Perhaps the scholars who pinned the start of the Mayan Calendar date to 3114BC (relatively recently) are 2 years out!?

On December 21st 2010, the Solstice occurs on the same day as a Total Lunar Eclipse which takes place (astrologically) within 2 degrees of the Galactic Centre. That's a pretty big coincidence considering that an alignment with this area is central to the 2012 'belief'. Furthermore the total phase of the eclipse will last for the mystical number of 72 minutes. It will be visible over the America's and particularly the west coast of America, Central America and South America - home to the Maya. See astronomical eclipse info and maps here.

What does all this mean? Who knows for sure but in my experience, a Full Moon eclipse taking place within days of the start of a new Mars/Mercury/Pluto cycle (14th Dec) would be considered to have a volatile, explosive quality about it (and on that subject December is the precise time of year when Earth travels through several major meteor showers). It could significantly affect trade, commerce and travel and 'The Church' may be taking a further beating. At best, it could be a catalyst for a deeper, more profound level of awareness - one that does 'shift' us closer to a realisation that we need to move from a life of striving for accomplishment and acquisition to one that focuses on meaning.

Latest news on Comet Hartley - the one I believe may be a 'herald' comet (see previous posts):

Comet Hartley continues to grow in size according to Spaceweather.com. "Comet Hartley is approaching Earth for an 11-million-mile close encounter on Oct. 20th. Although it is barely visible to the naked eye, the comet looks great through backyard telescopes" Shown above is one of the latest pictures from Nick Howes of Cherhill, Wiltshire, UK.

NASA's Deep Impact/EPOXI spacecraft is hurtling toward Comet Hartley 2 for a flyby on Nov. 4th. This will be a close encounter with one of the smallest yet most active comets NASA has ever seen.
"There are billions of comets in the solar system, but this will be only the fifth time a spacecraft has flown close enough to one to snap pictures of its nucleus," says Lori Feaga of the EPOXI science team. "This one should put on quite a show!"

10.10.10 a.k.a. XXX

Another one of those dates that gets everyone very worked up and excited about is looming this weekend. Until we reach 2013 there is one every year - the last was 09.09.09 the next is 11.11.11 right now though we get the very binary code looking 10.10.10

Mother's-to-be are electing for cesarean sections at 10.10 on 10/10/10 - presumably in the hope of a perfect 10 baby. If only it were so easy! Meanwhile there is rising panic and fear amongst Internet users that the date will be used to launch a major cyber attack.

Personally I hope that Triple XXX, the Root beer maker has not missed out on this marvellous marketing opportunity as the date in Roman Numerals is triple X

More seriously however, one organisation which is marking Sunday out as a day for an ecological 'call to arms' is The Creative Visions Foundation. They have joined forces with The World Wildlife Fund, the American Red Cross, Oxfam, the United Nations Development Program and a number of non-governmental groups in creating an online video time capsule of 24 hours on the planet, called One Day on Earth- Help Document the World's story on 10.10.10 They have over 10,000 participants signed up all over the world. There is a whole host of other people and organisations spanning the globe who are calling for people to come together at 10.10 on the 10th to celebrate our interconnectedness. Here is an invitation to join with others at the Lincoln Memorial if you happen to be in Washington DC:

Actually something IS changing this weekend
If we were able to stand on the Sun and look back at the Earth and view the relationship between planets from there - and we then divided the circle that the Earth was describing around us into 12 equal divisions, starting with the day that (from our hypothetical viewpoint on the Sun) that we were aligned with the imaginary line of the Earth's Equator, then by 10.10.10 we would note that Jupiter had crossed into a new division of space. If we want to give those divisions numbers, it would be the first section - which in geocentric Sky watching we call Aries.

From this Heliocentric perspective Jupiter moves 'sign' at 01.12 (9th Oct) GMT bringing to a close a phase that began on 11 November 2009.

Helio Jupiter is about to conjoin helio Venus. A meeting of Venus and Jupiter is often said to be accompanied by an outpouring of love and to be extremely fortuitous. That may well happen this weekend as a result of the initiatives mentioned above but often a spontaneous outpouring of love is not forthcoming until we have been moved to look at things with our hearts and not our heads. For example Venus and Jupiter were conjunct in the Helio chart on 9/11. Everyone felt the interconnection that day.

Interestingly the Helio planets were in very similar position then as they are this weekend. i.e. Jupiter at 9/11 was at 1 degree of a section and Venus at 3. Jupiter is now going to move to 0 degrees and Venus is at 3 so there's an harmonic resonance stretching back across spacetime. There's also a resonance between where helio Saturn was on that date in 2001. It was at 8 degrees and it is now also at 8 degrees forming a helio trine to 2001. All this right at a time when there is a high level terror threat in place. I think there's no doubt that this time there is another very real threat and one can only hope that after 7/7 - a day of the terrorist atrocity in the UK - that Al Qaeda have not been watching and waiting for this latest palindromic date; 10.10.10

It should be noted that helio charts speak more about collective energies than personal ones and also that Jupiter is the planet associated with higher consciousness. It is moving into the first section of 'the circle' (Aries) which is always viewed, symbolically, as containing initiatory energy i.e the seed or germ of an idea that has been incubating now gets birthed and begins to unfold. Hopefully, this weekend more people than ever will wake up to the truth that we are all connected and the exponential growth of people embracing this truth will now truly become an unstoppable force for good.
