Dakota Fanning Debuts Now Is Good Poster With Jeremy Irvine

Today is a big day for her! The poster for her newest movie Now Is Good was released and she can officially drop the "child" from child star. It's pretty good timing, considering the flick has some mature themes. It's the story of a high school girl dying of leukemia, who wants to check off everything on her bucket list before she kicks it. Naturally, this included getting laid is her main priority. LOL! And, judging from the way Jeremy Irvine is holding her in this poster, we'd guess her dreams come true!

Dakota Fanning had quite the experience this week attending New York Fashion Week this week. The young starlet managed to nab a front row seat at the Marc Jacobs show as well as the Rodarte show. At both shows, she displayed a fashion sense that bordered on quirky but still managed to stay elegant. And at the Rodarte show she even sat next to none other than Star Wars director George Lucas, according to the Independent.

For the Rodarte show, according to a report by PopSugar TV Fab, Fanning wore gold pants made from shimmery fabric and a shirt that had gold sleeves and a bodice of robin egg blue. The sleeves were made from the same material as the pants and provided a lovely contrast to the blue. She wore light makeup, and her long hair was parted down the middle. The part, however, wasn't cookie-cutter perfect. Instead, it seemed natural, adding to the quirky but charming look of her ensemble.

The Marc Jacobs show saw Dakota Fanning dressing up a bit but still retaining an original and slighty quirky style that bordered on vintage. The cut of her dress somewhat resembled that of a flapper's dress, and it was adorned all over with intricate beadwork. This dress had a bit of shimmer to it, too, and was also of robin egg blue—a color that Fanning featured successfully in her choice of eye makeup as well.

And Eyes of Blue...
A little Christian Dior eye makeup in the 5 Couleurs Designer pack will help to create a look like the one Dakota Fanning wore to the Jacobs show. First apply the lightest color to the brow-bone area of the eyelid. Choose the light beige color instead of the lightest blue for this area of the eye. Add the deepest color to the crease of the eye and then follow that with the middle tone blue to the area closest to the eyelashes. Blend the two blues together with a large makeup brush. Apply just the slightest bit of the light blue eye shadow to the lower lash area.

Line the eye with the Crayon Khôl pencil eyeliner, extending the line out past the edge of the lashes, creating a point. Finish the eyes with two coats of the Diorshow New Look mascara in black. For a bit of extra pizzazz, add a coat of the blue mascara to the tips of the lashes.

Dakota Fanning attends Jacobs' NYFW show

DAKOTA Fanning (pix), Anna Wintour and Rachel Zoe were among the stars who watched Marc Jacobs' New York Fashion Week show recently.

The designer was showcasing his Autumn/Winter 2012/13 collection at the Lexington Avenue Armory and as usual he attracted a star-studded audience, which also included Zoe Kravitz, Jared Leto, Rose Byrne and Kate Moss' husband Jamie Hince.

And once again, Marc put on a spectacular show, which was themed around a fairytale. Models wore oversized fur hats and embellished big-buckle shoes as well beautiful pieces of outerwear and chic cocktail clothes. The palette had rich tones of purple and bottle green, with silver sparkle thrown in.

Betsey Johnson was also another designer to show at NYFW and impressed with her 60s-inspired collection. The show was set to tunes played from the Beatles, Dusty Springfield and The Supremes but once again it was Betsey who was the star of the show.

The 69-year-old sartorialist took to the catwalk in a silver sparkly long-sleeve shirt and did her signature cartwheel and added the splits. Her models then marched down the runway marching-band style, dressed as cheerleaders wearing silver miniskirts and carrying pom-poms.

Alice + Olivia’s presentation on Monday was relaxed, in a giant loft with champagne, cake and stars. Kristen Chenoweth, Megan Hilty and Kelly Rutherford were there, as was ice skater Johnny Weir, who, when we complimented his Birkin bag, told us it was one of four he owns. Jenna Dewan was beaming since her hubby Channing Tatum’s movie The Vow was #1 at the box office. “It’s been an amazing weekend! We went out and had some fun in L.A. to celebrate, and we’ll keep celebrating. It’s a huge, huge success,” she said. Of course, even celebrating with Channing Tatum (lucky woman) didn’t keep Dewan from coming to NYC for Fashion Week.

Next on Monday brought Marc Jacobs’ magical, theatrical, moving show featuring a fantasyland set designed by artist Rachel Feinstein and models in whimsical shoes and Dr. Suess-like fur hats. Enchantment. A smattering of celebrities in the front row included Dakota Fanning, Michael Pitt and tennis pro Maria Sharapova, and the mood in the Lexington Avenue Armory post-show was simply euphoric. Jacobs’s show was truly a thrill to watch. W’s Stefano Tonchi called the show, “A celebration; an extravaganza, a beautiful fairy tale where you have Anna Piaggi, Schiaparelli, Mary Poppins, all the great fashion-crazy icons.”

The next, day we were surprised to see Crystal Renn turn up at the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue launch party. Turns out she’s in the issue for the first time. Renn talked about stepping outside of the high-fashion world where she’s spent her career. “I have to say the whole experience, including today, has been incredible,” she told us. “But actually shooting it, going to Australia, a place I’ve never been, doing a kind of work I’ve never done before was just wonderful.”

Kate Upton took the SI cover this year, and Bar Rafaeli, Irina Shayk, Chrissy Teigen and Anne V were among the models celebrating the new edition.

Later on Tuesday, W Magazine hosted a starry exhibition at the Park Avenue Armory featuring a video installation by fashion photographer Sølve Sundsbø. Wandering around the vast, hangar-like space with 1,000 other guests we spotted Cate Blanchett, Sienna Miller, Evan Rachel Wood and Chris Evans. And fashion folks were literally everywhere you looked: DVF, Joseph Altuzarra, Yigal Azrouel, Coco Rocha, Daphne Guinness, Shalom Harlow and Tory Burch were just a few who came to pay respects to Sundsbø and W. Too many to mention.

On Wednesday, Nicki Minaj and Ricky Martin debuted their new Viva Glam campaign at a splashy MAC-hosted party. The two burst onto the stage amid clouds of steam, said how proud they were to be part of the Viva Glam family, proceeds of which go to fight AIDS, and reminded everyone to practice safe sex before disappearing into the clouds again.

Fashion Police officer Kelly Osbourne praised Minaj’s over-the-top sense of style. “I think that what she does is amazing,” Osbourne told us. “You know, I get the piss taken out of me on Fashion Police because I’m always, I love it! I love it! And they’re always, like, what is that? But that’s why I love Nicki Minaj, because she takes risks and she always has such fun colors on, and I don’t think they could have picked a more perfect person to be the next Viva Glam than her.”How would Brad Goreski style Minaj? “I would hang Ricky Martin on her,” he quipped. “And myself.”

Dakota Fanning thinks Marc Jacob's latest catwalk offering is his "best ever". The actress couldn't contain her excitement after watching the designer's Fall/Winter 2012 collection on the runway earlier this week.

Inspired by fairy tales, the designs featured oversized hats in a variety of colours and materials as well as shoes with huge diamante buckles. Dakota was impressed with the fashionista's latest display.

"I think it might have been Marc's best show ever," Dakota gushed to website Style.com. "Those hats were insane." The star looked dazzling in the front row of the show in an icy-hued sheer frock which featured intricate detailing and silver studs. The 18-year-old teamed the design with a blue fringed clutch bag and neutral pointy heels. Other famous faces at the runway event included actress Rose Byrne and tennis star Maria Sharapova.

Following the show, Marc and his guests went on to the elegant The Pierre Hotel in New York to celebrate. The stylish crowd was surprised by a mini-set from The Kills and rocked out in dance circles. "I am a huge Kills fan - I love them!" Dakota exclaimed. The stylish actress was also spotted gracing the front row at Rodarte this week, where she found herself sat next to Star Wars director George Lucas. Natalie Portman also attended the runway show.

Making the most of the Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week festivities, Dakota Fanning was spotted at the Marc Jacobs Fall 2012 runway show. The “Runaways” starlet looked beautiful as she hammed it up for the cameras along with designer Marc Jacobs himself.

Dakota showed up at the NY State Armory for the swanky shindig dressed to the nines in a shimmery sleeveless dress. Additionally, Ms. Fanning was featured on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine’s January issue, along with a fascinating interview.

Ol Parker's 'Good' flies to key territories: Dakota Fanning starrer goes to Germany, Spain, South Korea

TF1 International has closed key territory sales on Ol Parker's "Now Is Good," a romantic drama toplining Dakota Fanning as a teen with a terminal illness who falls in love. The British film, based on Jenny Downham's bestselling novel "Before I Die," also stars Jeremy Irvine, Paddy Considine and Olivia Williams. Pic, which is produced by Peter Czernin and Graham Broadbent at Blueprint Pictures, was acquired by Universum for Germany, Vertigo for Spain, United Pictures for South Korea, M Pictures for Thailand and Bir Films for Turkey.

Previous deals were inked with Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions for North America and Warner Bros. for the U.K.. TF1 will screen "Good" for the first time to buyers at Berlin's European Film Market. In the run up to Berlin, TF1 International has also taken worldwide sales rights to family comedy "Ducoboo 2 Crazy Vacation," animated feature "Aya Of Yop City," and action-adventure pic "Asphalt Playground." "Ducoboo 2" is the sequel of "Ducoboo," a comicbook-based laffer, which grossed a healthy E9.2 million ($12 million) in Gaul. "Aya" is another auteur-driven animated feature set up at Joann Sfar's Autochenille Prods., the shingle behind Cesar-nommed "The Rabbi's Cat." Toon is also based on a comicbook. It turns on a 19-year-old girl and her friends living in a small African village.

Both "Ducoboo 2" and "Aya" will be released in France by UGC Distribution. "Ducoboo 2" will roll out in France on April 25. "Aya" will be delivered during the second half of this year. Julien Abrahams' feature debut, "Asphalt Playground" follows a band of troubled kids living in a French housing project who get embroiled in a gang war. It's produced by Paris-based outfit Ex-Nihilo and is now in post-production. At Berlin, TF1 Intl. will unveil promo reels of Australian surf drama "Drift" and Claude Miller's "Therese Desqueyroux," starring Audrey Tautou.

Taking some time away from her busy day, Dakota Fanning was spotted grabbing some lunch in New York City. The “Runaways” cutie was joined by a few gal pals as she hit up SoHo Park restaurant, sporting a pink coat/scarf combo with mirrored sunglasses and black trousers.

On the career front, Dakota will be starring opposite Elizabeth Olsen in the new coming of age flick “Very Good Girls.”The plot line follows Fanning and Olsen’s characters as they make a pact to lose their virginity before they graduate high school.

Director Naomi Foner told press, "The film deals with female sexuality and friendship in a way we haven't seen before. These girls will be stunning young girls in a couple of years, but they've struggled through high school with only each other. Most of us have been there.
