• May 29 – June 1, 2012 – Dress Rehearsals at studio All classes/dancers are required to attend dress rehearsals at the studio. Schedules will be available following spring break for your dancers rehearsal/photo times. Rehearsal is a FULL dress rehearsal. Costumes/Hair/Make-up are required.
• June 11, 2012 – Summer Classes/Camps begin
• Aug 20, 2012 – 2012/2013 Fall Classes begin

Also, here are just a few reminders:

• Please respect our dress code for your dancers class.  If you have questions log onto the website to confirm requirements or just ask us.
• Hair is to be pulled into a bun for ALL ballet classes.  No exceptions.
• If your dancer participates in our street jazz/hip hop classes, dancers are required to wear tights under their shorts.

Spring Recital:
Our spring recital of “Fast Forward—Rewind—Stop”  will be held June 4 and June 5, 2012 at the RRISD Performing Arts Center located adjacent to Mc Neil High School.    Showtime is 7:00 pm.    Final details for recital, mandatory dress rehearsals and photo dates will be available following spring break (March 12 – March 16, 2012).

Attendance:
As recital season kicks into full gear, it is imperative that your children make it to as many classes as possible. Sometimes we feel that just because they “know” their routines it is no big deal if they miss a class or two. However, in order for them to perfect their craft of technique, performance, cleanliness and team work they must come to class consistently. Many of the dances change formations and utilize partner work. Please be respectful of the other dancers, parents, and the choreographers and strive to make class…maybe even perfect attendance

Costume fees are now past due:
If you have not paid your costume fees, please phone the studio office immediately to set up payment arrangements.  We do not assume your dancer will participate in our show, therefore, if fees are not paid, costumes orders are not placed.  We also cannot accommodate any class changes at this time.

Performance Fees:
Each student participating in the spring recital will be assessed a $65 single student or $75 family (more than one student participating) production fee to be paid on April 2, 2012. Fees not paid by the due date will incur a $20 late fee. More detailed information is posted at the studio and on the website as the time approaches.

Costume preview week is upon us!  Please feel free to drop into the studio this week and next week to see what your dancer(s) will be wearing for recital.  Fees for the costumes vary, so be sure to ask Miss Ava how much you owe.

All fees must be turned into the studio by December 15th or we will not be able to order your dancer a costume.  If paying by check, please remember to make costume payments separate from your tuition payment.  Also please include the name of your dancer(s) on the check.

Christmas break is coming up soon!  The studio will be closed Dec 19-Jan 2.  Classes will resume in the new year on Tuesday January 3rd.

• Halloween – Mon Oct 31st – Studio will be closed AFTER 5:30 PM
• Thanksgiving – Tues Nov 22nd through Sun Nov 27th
• Christmas – Sun Dec 18th through Monday Jan 2nd

We hope everybody has a wonderful, safe, and spooky Halloween!

• Please arrive 5 minutes before your dancers class time.  Classes do begin on time and it disrupts the class flow if we have dancers arriving late.
•  Label, label, label, everything with your dancers name.  We’ve already  had shoes and dancewear that have decided to not go home with their owners.  It makes it so much easier for us if we know whom to contact when we find those lost shoes.
• Our studio does have a dress code policy.  Please check our policies page if you are in doubt.  Dancers in ballet classes do need to wear hair in a bun.  Dancers taking any other classes must have hair pulled back into a pony tail with wispies secured.  We want to be able to see all of those beautiful smiling faces in our classrooms.
• Mark your calendars now for our spring recital:  June 4 and June 5, 2012 at the RRISD Performing Arts Center.  Dancers taking one technical class per week (such as a ballet class or a hip hop class) will perform on one night only.  Dancers taking more than one technical class per week will perform in both shows.
• We’ve added a few new classes to our schedule:  Dudes only, a hip hop class for just the dudes on Fridays at 5:00; Ballet I/II ages 6 – 8 years and Ballet II ages 8 – 10 years classes on Saturday.  Contact the studio for more information.

Just a reminder, there will be no classes on Monday, September 5^th for the Labor Day  Holiday.  Have a safe and wonderful weekend!
