at Three Bags Full in Halifax. West Yorkshire.

A big thank you to Kath for inviting us to host the workshop.

We'll be using our Little Lavender Gift Bag crochet pattern as an introduction to

reading a pattern, first chains, single crochet, double crochet,

picot edging and how to crochet an i cord.

Thought we'd share the love and the free crochet pattern here on the blog.

Valentines Day is just around the corner and it seems appropriate to knit some beautiful scented hearts to scatter around the house or to give to those we love.

Here are three very easy fair isle (stranded) hand knitting patterns

for Shabby Chic Scented Hearts.

Each finished knitted heart measures approx 6" x 6" in height and width.

Knit on 4mm (UK8-USA6) Knitting Needles using a very small quantity of D.K. Yarn.

You will also require a small amount of polyester filling and scented oil of choice for the interior of each heart.

(I usually spray a small amount of my favourite perfume onto the polyester filling)

Baby Socks and Christmas Stockings

We hosted a very successful knitting workshop at Three Bags Full

in Halifax on Saturday afternoon.

Using the Design Studio Baby Socks knitting pattern everyone learnt how to knit on three double pointed knitting needles, how to turn a heel and how to knit a sock.

The knitting pattern can be adapted to make small Christmas stockings,

by changing the yarn colour from white (used for Baby Socks)

to red, white and green for a festive string of Christmas stockings.

to hang over the mantelpiece on Christmas morning.
