I’m SO happy not to have to drive 45 minutes or 2+ hours to shop at Home Goods.

If you have been on another planet and don’t know what Home Goods is – imagine TJ Maxx but without the clothes and shoes – just the home decor and furniture. THAT’S what a Home Goods store is.

As you can imagine, the Grand Opening was a madhouse! I just went to do a little recon – just to see what the store looked like.

It’s a nice store and I’m thrilled we have this great resource. I don’t want to sound greedy, but I wish the store was larger like the ones I’ve shopped at in Atlanta and Baltimore.

There are two empty stores to the left of this picture {above} and I would love to see HG bust through the walls and create a bigger store. . . . a girl can dream ;o)

I went back to the store yesterday and shopped for three different projects. SO much good stuff and great prices! The store was busy with shoppers finding deals.

Many of the larger pieces I took pictures of on Sunday were gone. I heard a couple of employees talking about unloading one truck and another truck was on the way.

I loved this saw-horse table which looked like it was made of reclaimed wood from a palette. I took this picture on Sunday – it was gone on my return.

I ran into another Dream House designer at the store . . . . I have a feeling that you’ll be seeing items from Home Goods at this year’s Dream House.

So happy to have Home Goods close! Are you?

Today’s space has great textures – from the linens to the paneled wall and rustic side table. It makes me want to fall into plushness of the bed!

I find that master bedrooms are often the last room in the house to be “designed” . . . is that true of your house?

I think a key to creating a tub area that looks an luxurious as it feels, introduce texture. {Click the photo to enlarge.}

The stone, tile and wood treatments really jazz up this space. If the owners had just left if drywall, it would not have the same WOW!

While the rustic style might not be for everyone, you can take the treatment and make selections that are just your style.

What do you think of this tub? Is it someplace you could relax?
