Exciting product update
All the Traceworkers are delighted. We gave our best effort, so we could launch this product update just before the vacation period, and we succeeded.
We hope that all of you can obtain business benefits by increasing your productivity even further due to this update. We guarantee that we will do our best to keep on, developing Headlight into the best marketing tool for agencies and advertisers.

We would love to hear your opinion, so if have any feedback regarding this release, please leave a reply on this post.

Have a fantastic summer

Want more info about Headlight go to www.traceworks.com

Facelift
Headlight has been on a beauty trip to city of angels for a well deserved facelift. The following elements have been under the knife.

Headlight login
No new functionality only design, we chosen a black theme, scary!!!!

Calendar
The new calendar supports our new design guide and actually save you for more clicks (time) than you actually believe.

Top Menu
New top menu to support topic splitting with logical breakdowns for each source I.E. Google, Yahoo, Banner, PPC

Activity / Asset Filter
You have complained about the fact that we show all data in all grids including inactive data. We have implemented filter functionality in our activity and asset grids, supporting filtered views of active, inactive and all activities/assets.
Furthermore is it possible to view summarized data per label in all grids. The benefit is that you save a lot of time creating campaign reports.

Comments
We heard you prayers and made a conclusion. Functionality where you can add comments for collaboration purposes make sense. It’s now possible to add comments on activities, assets and natural sources.

Go Comment, Comment, Comment

Multiple Google Accounts to one Headlight account
Connect multiple Google Accounts to one Headlight Account, so for those of you who are heavy Google ad words users, please contact our sale or support for more info or give us a call at +45 33 118 118

Dimension on creative’s
You properly have asked yourself this question many times. Why can’t we sort creative’s in the asset section by dimension and compare performance on this metrics? Well three words from us.

NOW YOU CAN

The rest
We have fixed a lot of small defects and added some minor features. One small thing worth mentioning is that our purple flags (changes) now are presented in the main Whychart on the dashboard.

Want to see it all in action, go to Headlight Login

Twit, Twit…. Traceworks
The cool thing about Twitter is that you always have time for a twit while blog posts can be pretty time consuming.
We love simplicity and we love Twitter, so do like everybody else, be the first to know what’s Traceworks and Headlight are up to, Follow us here Traceworks_HQ

What a fantastic day, it’s raining here in Copenhagen but still the mood is high here in the offices of Traceworks why? Well we made an important update to Headlight yesterday which will bring a lot of value to current and future clients and it’s simple for us when you are happy, we are happy.

Yahoo Integration:

You know how our Google integration works, as first step in our process of moving deeper into the possibilities within search marketing have we made integration to Yahoo, similar to the one we have with Google.
If you want more information regarding how you can save time and money by automated tracking of your Yahoo campaigns, please talk to your account manager.

Conversion summary:

I don’t know if you are exited yet but I guarantee you will be, since this update can save you for awful lot of time when you do reporting.
Let’s make an example, you have 3 conversions which is your KPI´s, it could be

1.	Online sale – Primary product
2.	People signing up for a newsletter
3.	Registration for a seminar

You want to look at data for a specific campaign of three activities, two banners and one Google Add.
The problem were that you could see how many conversions each activity contributed with but you could not see specific numbers from each conversion unless you made time consuming drills and manual calculations.
Now is it possible to get specific numbers from every single conversion without the need for time consuming drills and calculation and the activity level. You just need to add specific conversion columns in each view from where you, want see how conversion one performed against conversion two etc.

If you want more information, please talk to our incredible support, call your account manager or contact me by ml@traceworks.com or phone +45 33 118 118

Fiddling around with wikirank I came across something strange.

What is Wikirank
Wikirank shows you what people are reading on Wikipedia. It’s based on the actual usage data from the Wikipedia servers, which the Wikimedia foundation makes available as a public service.

I compared the keywords Facebook, and the keyword Twitter across the last 90 days. Besides a clear indication that Twitter is getting just as popular as Facebook, something else popped totally of the chart. Notice April 17th on the chart below.

Facebook and Twitter on Wikirank

On April 17th the number of people checking out what the heck Twitter is on Wikipedia more than doubled compared to they days before with 102,216.00 views. What made this happen? What could be so massive that the number of views would explode on that specific date.

Of we go and Google “Twitter april 17″. Up comes a link to an article from NYTimes.com stating that Oprah gave her first tweet on that date. Apparently thousands of people sign up to Twitter that day, and Oprah got around 1000 replies a minute.

Although it was fun to discover the reason for this statistical earthquake, the result is somewhat disturbing. We’re all sheep and controlled by very few wolves…

When TraceWorks was established in 2002, two young marketers weren’t satisfied with the supply of marketing tools at that time. There was a lack in the market - therefore they gave birth to Statlynx. Statlynx has served us and the online marketing environment very well, but since its big sister Headlight was launched in 2006, Statlynx haven’t been quite up to speed.

TraceWorks is constantly met with new demands from both existing and potential clients – to cope with this very fast and changing world, TraceWorks will focus only on Headlight which is build on an flexible and easy scalable platform. We have for the last couple of years continuously moved our existing clients to Headlight and for rest of you I am very sad to say that it is time to say goodbye.

We know that Statlynx through the years have given you much value and often crucial information for you to make the right online marketing decisions. Headlight is now ready to take over.

TraceWorks is shutting Statlynx down for the last time today, 31th of March – After that date Statlynx will no longer be in TraceWorks portfolio.

Statlynx, rest in peace…

Our dear leader, visionary and founder, Morten E. Wulff gives his personal opinion on what is going to happen in 2009.

1. After closing down a dozen of expected future revenue driving projects Google will shift all resources into their core business, online advertising. In Google terms this means more of the old “all agencies are middlemen and we want to destroy you”.

2. The transformation from analogue to digital will culminate with the fall of traditional newspapers like Berlingske / NYT and with online passing TV as biggest advertising medium.

3. After experiencing losses all over the line and with increasing pressure from Google Docs and Zoho on the Office Suite M$ will pull out for advertising trying to save their core business.

4. The average tenure of a CMO will decline from 18 months to only 6 months. If you know abouth super crunching data, green, online, and mobile then your chances are good though.

5. Science will be the new creative, and companies like Salesforce, Omniture, and TraceWorks will thrive

6. Interactive agencies will thrive. The not so interactive will die. The smaller agencies only doing one thing will die (e.g. 1:1 communication agencies and PR). The bigger agencies working cross channel (display, search, social, mobile etc.) will explode in success.

7. Facebook will keep on surprising everyone growing into the most celebrated and popular media destination of all while becoming the 2nd biggest online advertising vehicle (will surpass Google 2010).

8. The iPhone will also keep surprising everyone with e.g. 1/3 of all visitors to Facebook using an Iphone. N.B. The CMO that understands how to utilize mobile have a chance not to get sacked.
