web page(screen) grab add-on for Firefox

While you surfing on net, If you find any important information or notes then you probably save that web page or copy and paste that content to notepad or in word document. If you save that web page you will get files, images related to that page and it occupies more space than your required data.

One idea to overcome this problem is screen capture. If you use "print screen " button it captures only the visible screen region..but what if the page contains huge data and need to be scrolled down ?? this 'print screen ' idea also fails..

The simple solution to this problem there is a add-on available for Mozilla Firefox named Screengrab.

Install that add-on. It sits in status bar of your browser,copies the visible screen portion or complete web page (no problem how length the page may be) just in a click.
Just select your action and save it in .png or .jpeg format.

How to launch programs 'quickly' from "Start"

The start menu in windows give us a simplest way to access our favorite programs and most used programs and favorite folders very simple way. Even u need not to use mouse for that. Just by simple Win key you can launch u r program.

Here is some interesting thing about "searching in start menu" for u r favorite program. When u r searching for microsoft word in start menu in windows-7, you probably type "word" or to open media player u may search "media player" or something ...

But here is a simple way that u can also search in abbreviated way , what i mean to say is if you are searching for "microsoft word" in start menu's search box, u can type as "w m " (with out quotes) or to search "windows media player" you can use "w m p". To search Internet Explorer" you can type "i e". That's it...simple.!

Boot up u r system faster

Though there is no application in "start up" folder, but u r feeling that u r pc is booting slow.. then a quick solution to this is
go to RUN dialog box and type MSCONFIG, opens the "system configuration tool" then switch to "start up" tab and deselect all the application which u don't want to run during the start-up.
If u r an admin u can switch to "services" tab and disable all unnecessary services.

autorun is another excellent utility that shows you what programs are configured to run during system bootup or login

U heard about www, http and https, then have u heard about www2/www3 ? and why it is used? for ex: what is difference between www.example.com and www2.example.com ?
In the DNS hierarchy www3 or www2 is simply a subdomain. www1/www2/www3 are just mirror of server..
Many business (eg HP), banking and many complex web sites uses this type of domain just to separate the data and services form their main site..This is just to handle their traffic.
According to wiki : Some websites use different subdomains to point to different server clusters. For example, www.example.com points to Server Cluster 1 or Datacentre 1, and www2.example.com points to Server Cluster 2 or Datacentre 2, etc.

WHAT IS SAFE MODE

SAFE MODE is the powerful tool provided in windows which load a minimal set of drivers for fixing a pc problems. Windows Safe mode options allow u to start with out loading all drivers and software when u have system critical problem in windows.

safe mode allows u to trouble shoot u r pc easily. The first in recovering a crashed computer when it is go on restarting with a blue screen which is also called as blue screen of death problem is to start system in safe mode.

In safe mode only minimum requirements or basic requirements dirvers like mouse, keyboard, monitor, basic video, default system services are loaded . Also note that no network connections are available in this mode.

We can enter in this mode by pressing F8 after restarting the system.

choose Design tab.
under that choose Edit html
find ]]>
before that add
#navbar { display: none; } or #navbar-iframe { display: none !important; }

Today,browsing the net is mandatory for big & small..u might worry When your kids are using a PC, you're probably worried about how much time they spend, and what kind of games they're playing. In such cases it is better to use a features called parental control of xp/ vista/ win-7 .
With this it is easy to supervise each action of u r kid with out having to peek over their sholders.
how to set it??
In win-7

start ->control panel ->user account and family safety/parent control-> if u r prompted to enter admin password to confirm enter-> choose account for which u want to set parental control -> under parental control click enforce current setting and set the setting.

suppose u r working on some document and in background if u want to play a song , but it is not in u r local disk. wat u do? launch browser and open you tube or any and play it right?
Think, u can play a song from you tube with out launching browser. want to know how?

In vista or windows-7 u find a shutdown button in start menu..by default it's lable and action is to SHUTDOWN. If u want to change the action of button

right click on start orb
select properties
choose start menu tab
choose required action.

thats it .. wow u changed the functionality of that button...! isn't this short & sweet...?

I like them because it tastes good,
but these are not eatable cookies, cookie is the message given to web browser by web server. These are stored in a text file.. and that message sent back to server each time the browser requests a page from server.!
this is useful for identifying the user and customize the web pages for them.

while working with pc, u'll get many error messages...and it goes off if u click "OK" or "CANCEL". if u r system engineer asks u about problem, u might not be in the position to tell the problem correctly..! right?
Here's a solution for that ...!

Just click that error message on it's headder(activate that window)
Press "ctrl+c" ie copy and open a "notepad" and paste it using "ctrl+v" thats it..!

It is now ready to show u r system engineer..! so that it can be helpful to him in solving the problem..!
