Photographer Steven Chu shares a recent shoot he did with Will Lewis that includes two outtakes. Set in New York, Chu wanted to explore the “idea of ending–things ending, people ending. There’s a sort of peace to it after the tension.” Intentionally hiding visuals that would indicate the shoot’s actual location, Chu aimed for a more abstract shoot, where Will worked out great. According to Chu, “Will was great because he brought a lot” leaving them with less to say themselves. The “shoot only works with Will–swap it with any other guy and visually it [would] take on a completely different meaning.”

Feld Hommes Preview | Dead Man–Jakob Wiechmann by Markus Pritzi

German magazine Feld Hommes grants us one of several previews to come of their latest issue coming out the end of this month. For the first editorial, Jakob Wiechmann is allowed to shine once more as the sole star photographed by Markus Pritzi. Styled by Feld Hommes fashion editor Isabelle Thiry, Jakob takes to this season’s prominent color of choice in an appropriate fashion.

Spring 2010 | William Eustace for JOOP! Jeans

JOOP! designer Dirk Schönberger has decided that this will be the last collection for the jeans range. Instead, he will be focusing all his energy on the mainline.

Spring 2010 | Complex Geometries

Light and easygoing are two appropriate ways to describe the latest collection from Complex Geometries designer Clayton Evans. Taking a simpler approach to this season’s concept, Evans was inspired by the idea of “perpetual leisure”. Pondering a future where leisure is eternal, Evans fashions his own casual uniform. From loose fitting pants to open cardigans and revealing cutouts, Evans sets about creating unisex pieces that aim for the same comfort as pajamas, but if course with his own unique style and perspective. Not afraid to go sheer on more than one occasion, the collection is a great mix of garments that are ready to layer amongst themselves or the wardrobe of their perspective buyers.
