How Did I KNOW McNabb Would NOT Let Vick Share The Spotlight?!?

Donovan McNabb is already jealous of Michael Vick. God man, first he breaks up the Super Bowl Philadelphia Eagles squad with Terrell Owens, and now it's just the preseason and he's referring to Michael Vick's plays as "gimmicks." He's already crying, saying the Eagles offense is being disrupted by Michael Vick!

My little brother even suggested this situation would occur if Mike Vick got signed to Philly. And it looks true. I don't see Donovan McNabb lasting too long in Philadelphia if he does not work WITH Michael Vick and the offense to make them more dynamic instead of fractured.

Brett Favre Signs To The Minnesota Vikings!

Brett Favre is back baby! Favre finally made the decision to return for his 19th season. He will play for the Vikings (who I do not really like, my team is Green Bay) and should push them into an automatic playoff birth.

"I am excited about the opportunity to join this football team," said Favre. "From ownership, to coaching to the players, it is evident that everyone in the Vikings organization is committed to bringing the fans of Minnesota a Championship. I am eager to join my new teammates and get to work towards that goal." (Vikings Website)

With Bernard Berrian, Adrian Peterson, and Favre, the Vikings offense should have no problems scoring points. Their defense is already pretty tough to match. The NFC North is going to be an entertaining division this year with Jay Cutler on the Bears and the best team in the division, the Green Bay Packers!

Terms of Brett Favre's contract with the Vikings have not come out yet.

Bet You They Wouldn't Crucify Peyton Manning Like They Did Vick!

I'm tired of these no-life having, wanna be saints, all hating on Michael Vick AFTER he served his time for the crime he commited. These people act like they never made mistakes in their lives. It's not like Michael Vick got special treatment and avoided jail time. He lost millions of dollars in endorsements, the biggest contract in NFL history (10yr $130 million w/ $37 million guaranteed), and the right to be a free man!

After all this, people still will not forgive the man for his crime. What more do you people want? Somebody let me know.

Cuz I know one thing for damn certain... Peyton Manning definitely wouldn't get crucified in the media and by the law like Michael Vick did.

18 Game Regular Season? Chill....

I'm not cool with extending the NFL regular season by two games. The season is long enough as it is, especially from the perspective of a player who takes the pounding for 16 weeks and possibly through the playoffs. Not even considering the off-season camps and training.

I think Roger Goodell needs to fall back on this one. What happens when the elite players who attract the fans start getting injured more often?

And alot of fans don't really pay full attention to the regular season until the playoff picture begins to develop and teams step up their intensity in order to make a run into the playoffs.

Buffalo Bills Sign Terrell Owens!!!

Finally, the speculation about where T.O. will go is over. The Bills signed Terrell Owens to a one year, $6.5 million dollar contract.

This is a great move for the Bills who already have a good running game with Marshawn Lynch and could use some help at wide receiver. As for the contract length, it is perfect for the Bills because they aren't tying up a big chunk of their cap in a player who WILL produce but could bring problems (unlikely).

Personally I wanted the Ravens, Jets, Redskins, or Patriots to sign T.O. but I'm just happy he got signed before the Draft and camps. This could be the acquisition that launches the Bills into the playoffs...

Does Ryan Grant Deserve A Plush Long Term Contract?

I know this guy shocked the league last season with his streak of consistent outstanding games, not to mention his heroic performance versus the Seahawks in the playoffs, single-handedly carrying my favorite team to the next round; but is it enough to warrant a lucrative long-term deal among the best in the NFL?

Ryan Grant racked up 956 yards and 8 touchdowns in 7 starts for the Packers.

That's the problem!

The Packers acquired Grant in a trade during the season, they've never had him for a full year, and he definitely hasn't proven he can play 16 games and produce consistently. On top of that, Brett Favre obliterated opposing pass defenses last year, preventing teams from stacking the box and focusing on shutting down Ryan Grant. Assume Brett Favre starts for Green Bay next year. Who will opposing defenses worry about, Brett Favre or Ryan Grant?

Thought so.

The solution? Since Ryan Grant cannot field offers from other teams (he's an exclusive rights free agent), offer him a decent short term contract, let's say, 3 years $12-15 million, with atleast $3-4 million guaranteed. Maybe add a bonus clause stating the Packers will restructure it into a long term deal if he starts atleast 14 games and produces stats rivaling the best in the league, case closed.

I think both parties could agree on this deal. And I predict Ryan will be playing in a Packers uniform next season.
