First, let me point out that I made a boo boo when purchasing this dresser since I had $210 in Amazon gift cards sitting in my account. Even though I've ordered things a million times through this magnificent site, I still was cautious and noticed that it had my boyfriends credit card selected as the main card to cover any additional costs, which there shouldn't have been because this was $176 and not $210. But, stupid me, ended up switching it to my card just in case and then I never selected the gift card box again after that. So, I ended up paying the full amount on my card instead of using the gift cards that I had sitting in the account. I went to Amazon customer service to try and get the payment method changed, but they said I can only change it within 30 minutes when it's from a 3rd party, because they automatically set it to charged and in process of shipping. I don't like this method. They should allow the company to manually set that when they've actually gotten the product ready to be shipped which wasn't for 3 days after I ordered. (ordered on a Sunday). Needless to say I was mad, but couldn't be too angry because it was my own fault for not recognizing it sooner. (wouldn't have noticed at all if it weren't for PayPal emailing me and informing of the charge on my account)

Anyways,

After receiving the Sauder Shoal Creek 4-Drawer Chest in Jamocha Wood, I realized this was going to be a difficult task trying to get it up the stairs and into my bedroom. My boyfriend was on a weekend hiking trip, so I had to put this bad boy together alone and lug it up the stairs piece by piece since it was too heavy (120lbs) to push it, pull it or anything like that. Once I got it up the stairs, I noticed that there were quite a few nicks on the pieces, but nothing that would be too noticeable or cause me to ship it back and pay the $45 dollar shipping and restock fees. (yes, I asked)

I started to put it together with no problems at all. The directions are not very detailed, so you have to pay close attention to the pictures and the way things are supposed to be attached by looking closely at the manual. It took me about 4 hours to get it all done, but I cannot stress enough on paying attention to detail. When I put the top on, I attached the front side to the back side and nailed the back cover to it not realizing it wasn't wood colored on both front and back. Was a silly mistake on my part. I have since switched it around and now feature small nail holes in the front of the dresser. It's not too noticeable unless you're up close and personal.

The plastic pieces that go inside of the dresser seemed a bit odd and made me question why they were even included. But, now I realize that they're there to prevent a small child from pulling out more than 1 drawer and having it accidentally tipping over on top of them. However, if you're an adult, you may find some nuisance to this since you will not be able to put your clothes away fast and efficiently without closing the previous drawer you had opened. Yes, it must be closed all the way or the other drawer will not open! Perfect implementation if your intended use is for a child.

PS. This is not real wood. Just wanted to make that clear for those who are looking for a real wood dresser. You will be paying twice, if not three times the amount for real wood.

A Much Needed Trip to Newport Beach

After a long winter, the summer finally arrives, and with that comes fun in the sun vacations. Although, technically, I will be going to school through summer, but I'll still get a little bit of a break in June to do a camping trip or something.

There is one place that has been on my list of places to go though, and that is Newport Beach! No, not the Newport, Oregon beach. I am talking sunny skies, bright-blue water, and sandy white beaches in none other than the state of California. It's weird knowing that our beaches differ greatly from a state that is directly below us.

One of the things that piqued my interest about Newport Beach is the amount of things to do, AND you're in close vicinity of Disneyland! Too awesome.

I do, however, want to try the China Cove Kayak Adventure, which takes you on a tour of multi-million dollar houses and movie stars homes. Then you get to stop by the Pirate Cove where Gilligan's Island was filmed; maybe even jump in for a swim! My family and I love sight seeing and being out in nature, so this would be a must of things to do while visiting.

They also have kids summer camps with eclectic options available. The nerd in me would probably chose Harry Potter or Star Wars for my kidlets if I had them, but overall, I would allow them to decide for themselves.

After trying to plan this vacation, I noticed that the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach hotel has a special going on for buy one room at full price, get a connecting room for kids 18 and under at 50% off. If you've never heard of the Hyatt, it's a resort-style bayside destination on 26 acres (yes, you heard that correctly) and boasts 3-pools, as well as a whirpool, shuffle board, ping pong, a 9-hole, and a par-3 golf course. Sounds awesome, doesn't it? I highly suggest checking out the website.

Now if you'll excuse me, I must go book.

As a woman who is reaching her 30s; wrinkles and baggy eyes are starting to pop their weary heads. The only thing I didn't like about the product is the clay mask. To me, the cooling "menthol" type properties seemed to burn my skin a little bit. I didn't like that, but stuck it out and it ended up fading after about a few minutes of sitting on my face. I had never tried a clay mask, but to me it felt like what botox would feel like, because my face was so tight I could barely move my lips to talk. Bet my boyfriend was enjoying that. Either way, I will continue to use this product to see if it shrinks my pores and makes my skin tone a little more even. Not much you can do about that when you have freckles galore, but it's worth sticking it out.

If you would have told me that you could cook with coconuts a few weeks ago, I would have said no way! Normally, I just use olive or canola oil, but I am absolutely grateful that Tropical Traditions introduced this new and exciting product to me. Not only did this Gold Label Standard Virgin Coconut Oil make my food taste better, but it has delightful benefits as well. Nokia Lumia 900 Review: Nokia’s Beacon of Hope

For Nokia fans and the company itself, the Nokia Lumia series is a ray of hope. With the success of Nokia Lumia 800 and 710 hindered by bugs and other performance issues, it was unclear if the jump to the Windows platform instead of going for Android was a wise move by Nokia and if it will be enough to restore the glory that the Finnish cell phone company once had. Nokia had decided to give it another try by releasing a third in the series, the bigger version of the previous Nokia Lumia 800, the Nokia Lumia 900. Will this risky bet by Nokia work? We can only make an educated guess through what it has to offer. Without further ado, let us take a look at the Nokia Lumia 900.

Hardware and Design

Much like its predecessor, the Nokia Lumia 900 has one impressive design. The body is made up of high-quality colored plastic (not painted). It has also maintained the same overall shape of the body. We could only wish, however, that it has maintained the slightly concaved screen that the Nokia N9 and Lumia 800 featured. Instead, it features a slightly elevated, but flat Super AMOLED screen. The button layout is also the same with the camera, volume and power keys all located on the right side and nothing on the left. Overall, the design was decent, but felt highly recycled due to the fact that this is the third time that this design was used by Nokia.

Operating System

The phone runs on Microsoft Windows Phone OS 7.5 Mango. With Android's popularity as the leading OS, one could not help but compare the two. And if we compare them, Android seems to be more intuitive and versatile. However, the Windows Phone Mango has its own strengths. It has a cleaner and more interactive menu, for one. And if you have the luxury of being online 24/7, Windows Phone is better than Android for synchronising your phone with internet services such as Facebook or (what else?)Windows LIVE. Nokia's Windows Phone uses swipe gestures a lot and is really fun once you get to know its twists and turn.

Performance

High end phones nowadays are mostly based on multi-core processors. Nokia Lumia 900 begs to differ with its 1.4 GHz Scorpion processor. Impressively, Nokia Lumia 900 did not have any trouble running any of the core applications that are thrown at it. This phone proves that power is not always necessary for a phone to run efficiently.

Affordability

Despite being single core processor based, the Nokia Lumia 900 is surprisingly expensive; if bought vanilla (network free) that is. If you will be getting it from AT&T, you can get an impressive flagship phone for only $99.99. And if you can get your hands on a special deal with AT&T or the proper ATT coupon code offered online, this phone can be had for much, much lower, possibly free; a very tempting offer indeed, but this is necessary if Nokia hopes to stay in the smart phone race.
