Toyota Highlander has a 3.5L V6 Double Overhead Cam gasoline engine with 24 Valve  having Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence producing 270 horsepower@ 6,200 rpm with the torque being rated at 248 lb-ft @4,700 rpm. The engine uses unleaded fuel giving efficiency with averages of 17 mpg in city and 22 mpg on highway. With front-wheel drive, the transmission is 5 –speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with intelligence (ECT-i). Whereas in Honda CR-V, the unit is 2.4 liter 4-cylinder engine with 16-Valve DOHC i-VTEC that produces 185 horsepower @7000 rpm with the torque being rated at 163 lb-ft@4400rpm. 2) Hennessey Venom GT
Top speed is achieved at 275 mph with smashing records of reaching 60 mph in whopping 2.5 seconds and 0-200mph in merely 15.4 seconds. Produced only 10 in a year, the car systems are powered by 6.2 liter, LS9 V8 twin-turbo engine that brings out 1,200 horsepower. With a torque of 1155 lb-ft @ 4200 rpm, this agile thing has a base price of $950,000. However, it;s a concept car which is not put till now into the production model.

1)Bugatti Veyron Super Sport
The wait is over to know the fastest car in the world. It is none other than Buggati Veyron flaunting top speed of 260 mph and can reach acceleration of 60 mph in shocking 2.4 seconds. Propelled by 8.0 liter, W16 cylinder, DOHC quad-turbocharger engine, this shocker can develop 1200 horsepower and a torque of 1105 lb-ft. Base price well not that cheap stands at $2.4 million.

The Q3 Vail Concept was revealed in the show targeting the young customers inclined towards adventures. It has a unique pearlescent paint job in Energy Red colour. The whole exteriors have a touch of some extra sport in them. The bumpers, fenders, and the grille, all have some sense of attraction to give the Q3 Vail a unique look. The engine pumps out 314hp of total power with a max torque of 295 pound-feet. The engine is connected to 7-speed S tronic transmission which rolls the All-Wheel-Drive system. The roof is designed to carry snowboards and skis easily.

There is no information about this model going into the production line, but all we can say that it’s not a bad idea.

The newer Dodge is completely redesigned with a sleek and compact makeover. It will be offered in only a sedan form standing next to Chevrolet Cruze and Ford Focus. The suspensions are fine tuned to specifically cater the needs of this special machine. Initially, the car will be offered with two engine options; 2.0L naturally aspirated engine and 1.4L turbocharged engine. Both engines will produce 160hp but different torque. The engines on standard will be mated with 6-speed manual transmissions and the automatic versions will be optional.

Fans of Dodge will no doubt be waiting for the model to be launched for selling later this year but still Dodge will have to think about the competitors first in order to gain the momentum again. The pricing part is not revealed yet but we can hope them to be priced around $17000 to $21500.

The show started with the magical new Hyundai Elantra being announced as the winner among the mid-size luxury sedans of North America. The participants were of course the cool Ford Focus and the Volkswagen Passat.

Among the Big giants called SUVs, the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque took the award for Truck of the Year. The participants were BMW X3, Audi Q5 and Honda CR-V which were left out because of their straight forward designs and concepts which now need to be updated. The Evoque has something unique in it that carried the award easily.

A major part of attraction was poised towards the future Hyundai Veloster Turbo. The engine pumps out nearly 138hp of power plus an additional 63hp from turbocharger which gets it competitive in the high powered hatchback segments. The shape is very fresh but resembles a little bit of Honda CR-Z, just a little bit. It’s a very new hatchback form which will be loved by most of the public.

            The first product that gathered a lot of attention was the XL1 concept, which is a small segment car powered up by the 800cc diesel engine mated with a hybrid motor. The car gets 49ps from the diesel engine and 27ps from the electric motor which when combined gives an excellent fuel economy.

The next big attraction was the Touareg, an SUV that has the power to rule the road. VW launched the latest model of Touareg which is 41mm longer and 12mm wider and comes with a host of features like standard all-wheel drive, panoramic roof and Bi-xenon headlights.

Another big step was the launch of new Beetle. The car does a significant exterior job that does not resemble the older looks but yet retained the retro looks. The car will be powered up by 1.2L and 1.4L TSI engines developing 105ps and 160ps of power. The car now has a rival, the BMW MINI which was also a part of the Auto Expo 2012.

Volkswagen was also planning to launch a small car Up, but however due to some unwanted circumstances the things got delayed. This car is planned to attract the huge masses in the small car segment.
