Well for all who may or may not know, I had a broken collarbone which required surgery to ensure that the bones rejoined together and also in the hope that it would speed up my recovery.

Well my bone is now properly aligned but is only being held together by light bone mass and doesn't yet have the density required to take a hit or a hard landing while racing the bikes so I'm to sit out for another 6 weeks they recommended due to the nature of the sport.

I am hoping however to make a return the practicing towards the end of the month and that way be ready to race at the start of august.

Anyways that my latest goal. Whilst being out injured I have really just upped my training but I've also been taking in a lot of Playstation gaming.

Hi there, I feel my season has started a little off form from last year, with a run of bad luck with my motors blowing up, and down on confidence, but the only way forward is to ride through it and it will come good again .

Its been good having a week off to recharge ourselves and spend time with my family wich I love doing and supporting my partner when she ran the womans 10k marathon on sunday with atime of 1hour 8mins not bad for a first time marathon.

So Newport sunday so lets hope the rest has done us all good and we are all firing which could really kick start our season

blog soon grievesy

I have to start with a confession, I am a virgin blogger. This is my fist ever time, so you guys will have to bear with me a bit.

So where do we start....
For me the year has started how I had planned; steady. Now I am starting to turn up the wick and push that little bit harder. It has been a bumpy start for some of the guys but this week off I believe has been exactly what was needed; a chance to recharge. It is so hard to ride to your full potential when you are hurt and down on confidence.

The week off has also been great for me too. I am in Sweden enjoying some sun, a little dirt bike action and trying to teach Maja how to play golf. Well, that has been a little frustrating but still, she is getting there now. Well I guess you can say I have not been doing to much this week.

All the best,
Travis

Well it definitely hasn't been what I had planned. I have shown glimpses of what I wanted to do and can do on a regular basis.

The season started off slowly against Coventry for me but then came good whilst away at Edinburgh and then at home to Edinburgh. After that I encountered clutch problems for weeks on end and couldn't not work out the problem. I was burning set after set of clutch plates and after changing several different things and some help from Travis we finally got it sorted and have now found a happy medium.

And then we arrive at Workington..... started the meeting with the completely wrong setup but by the middle of the night had got it right. I had won a few races and my confidence was getting back up again only to have my primary chain break while leading heat 12 I believe and after coping the full force from bikes in my lower back and over my head I was in no state to ride.

We then went to Birmingham were I was not still unfit to ride. I had been on strong pain killers for the meeting and after coming off in the first corner of one of my races, my back injury flared up again and I had taken more skin off to add to my collection. At this point in time I have never had so much skin missing from my body!

After coming home from Birmingham I found myself laid up in bed for the next two days in pain with my injuries and also at the same time I had started coming down with Tonsilitus which was diagnosed at hospital at 8pm Saturday night..

I battled through against Kings Lynn with everything that had been going on, once again riding under the influence of pain killers and antibiotics.

I struggled quite badly away at Kings Lynn, with the track being quite grippy, my strength hasn't been there with all my injuries and illness. I had also found out I had dropped 2-3 kilograms in weight as I had not been able to eat.

I found things a touch easier last night at a slicker Redcar track and with the help of Stewart spacing my races apart it made my job easier as I had time to recover in between my rides.

So now hopefully with this upcoming break I can give my body time to heal and relax and also go back to the gym to regain some strength.

That is just a summary of some of my problems but here's hoping I can get a run of luck and put in the scores like I know I can.

Mitchell
