The Emerald Tablets of Thoth the Atlantean is an ancient manuscript left behind during the disastrous fall of Atlantis to be discovered by mankind during a time of revolution. Supposedly uncovered beneath the Great Pyramid, the text is a treatise on enlightenment and righteous living after the fall of mankind. Thoth, also known as Hermes, is an Ibis-Headed Egyptian God responsible for teaching mankind the arts of civilization, including language and writing. One of the most ancient manuscripts available, The Emerald Tablets of Thoth the Atlantean delves into the heart of the Atlantis mystery school teachings, preserving ancient history and spirituality in an essential compendium.
Qigong is the ancient Chinese method of preventative healthcare, as well as a vessel for enlightenment. Deeply rooted in the Taoist tradition, Qigong asks the practitioner to relax the body and mind and allow the Qi, life force, to flow freely. Part moving meditation, part stretching, part contemplation, Qigong has been proven for centuries. In The Root of Chinese Qigong: Secrets of Health, Longevity & Enlightenment, Dr. Yang Jwing-Ming explores and translates a mystic, yet practical form of preventative healthcare. Covering all of the basic concepts, as well as basic exercises, The Roots of Chinese Qigong is a great place to start your reading on the subject or refine what you already know. Unfortunately we cannot find a version of this book online, so we can only provide you with the link to purchase from Amazon.com.
Both Tibetan Buddhism and Bon consider Dzogchen the natural, primordial state of unconditioned wakefulness. Practiced by both schools of thought, Dzogchen is seen as the most direct path to enlightenment. While there is some source text contained in Dzogchen Essentials, it is primarily a collection of treatises and essays by monks and scholars about their interpretation of the Dzogchen teachings. Regardless of it's lack of source material, Dzogchen Essentials offers the western mind a rare glimpse inside of an ancient school of enlightened beings. If you've never heard of Dzogchen, or have heard of it and find it fascinating, this book will surely leave you in a better place than before you read it.
While most westerns are familiar with yoga and sleep, few see them in the same light. Ordained as both a Buddhist and Bon monk, Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche explains the concept of dream yoga with an expertise and sincerity never before seen in the west. While most of us in the west see sleeping and dreaming a regenerative, Wangyal Rinpoche illuminates the aspect of progressing and edifying our consciousness as we sleep. Through carefully worded exercises and examinations of concepts, Wangyal Rinpoche explains these esoteric practices so that those of us who are not ordained as monks can garner positive experiences from our daily and nightly lives.
DMT: The Spirit Molecule (recently made into a movie of the same title) compiles the psychological research of Dr. Rick Strassman at the University of New Mexico in the early 1990's on DMT (dimethyltryptamine), a highly psychedelic chemical known to exist inside the human brain. Granted permission by the U.S. government to run intravenous tests on subjects who had experienced psychedelics in their past, Strassman's findings are astonishing. The latter part of the book chronicles his patient's stories and accounts of their experiences on the drug. Now know as The Spirit Molecule, DMT is revered by some as a God-given agent for humans to experience the deepest sense of who they truly are.
TiHKAL the Continuation is an encyclopedic compendium to entheogens, psychedelics, and the evolution of human consciousness. Written by a dynamic husband and wife combo, Alexander and Ann Shulgin, the story chronicles a government chemist's research into psychedelic substances and his wife's experiences while utilizing the chemicals as tools for psychotherapy. Taking place over a forty year time period, the scope of the book outlasts the carefree days of the 1960's, and asks some difficult questions about the war on drugs and its profits for the American Government and its supporters. TiHKAL also provides readers with scientific formulas for each of the chemicals, as well as methods for extraction and laboratory preparation. The Shulgin's belief in the necessity for disseminating their knowledge further illustrates that these serious scientists believe that their information is crucial for the future of mankind.
Despite what society may sell you to believe, happiness is not attained through material goods, but rather is an attitude that is cultivated and sustained. His Holiness the Dalai Lama sits down with western psychiatrist Howard C. Cutler to discuss the concept of happiness, as it pertains to the modern occidental inhabitant. The book is a great introduction to the pragmatism of Buddhism and its relentless analysis of consciousness. Not steeped in esoteric phrasings or instruction, this book is truly an "easy" read from beginning to end.
Being Peace by Thich Nhat Hanh is a call to awakening for mankind. A peaceful, gentle, compassionate articulation of the need for mankind to rest in inner peace before the world continues to destroy itself Being Peace is Hanh's bestselling work. Drawing on his Buddhist background, Master Hanh is famous for being nominated by Dr. Martin Luther King for the Nobel Peace Prize, as well as authoring over 60 volumes on Buddhism that have been translated in hundreds of languages throughout the world. A short, but thoughtful and insightful read, Being Peace is a great introduction to Buddhist ideals, and storehouse of broad wisdom for people of any background.
The instructions are concise and easy to read, as well as all of the accompanying illustrations. Used by the plains Indians for ages, tipis are one of the most versatile shelters on earth. The Complete Golden Dawn System of Magic is a controversial compendium containing the wisdom and magical practices of the Golden Dawn system of Hermeticism supposedly employed by Freemasons/Illuminati in their most arcane, secret practices. The text is intricately woven with initiation rituals, Kabbalah, Tarot, Divination, Tattwas, astral projection, cleansing rituals, and sacred implement consecration. Regardie draws on original source documents within the secret society, and adds footnotes and other explanations in order to expound upon the gravity and truth of the text's knowledge. Complete with incantations for calling on divine guides and much more, the book is a tour-de-force that should be used with extreme wisdom and caution.
The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life Volume 2 by Drunvalo Melchizedek comprises secret knowledge of pre-Egyptian yoga and sacred mathematics as delivered by Thoth, the ibis-headed Egyptian version of Hermes. According to legend, Thoth founded human culture, divulging language, writing, jurisprudence, government, and all systems of knowledge for civilization. Melchizedek claims to be a "walk-in", an extraterrestrial who came to earth during a near-death experience. According to the teachings, the ancient mystery schools were broken into "Right-eye," (left brain), and "Left-eye," (right brain) schools of Horus. Volume 2 comprises the ideas of the "Left-Eye of Horus," focusing on destroying the fear of death via intuition in order to transcend earthly desires. After 12 years, an adept seen as worthy would be placed in the sarcophagus within the Great Pyramid of Giza, and would travel for three days on the astral plane until obtaining Buddha-hood, or resurrection, much like Osiris.
The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life Volume 1 by Drunvalo Melchizedek comprises secret knowledge of pre-Egyptian yoga and sacred mathematics as delivered by Thoth, the ibis-headed Egyptian version of Hermes. Volume 1 comprises the ideas of the "Right-Eye of Horus," focusing on sacred geometry regarding the Golden mean and Fibonacci sequence as logical equivalents to God in the cosmos. After 12 years of serious study, an initiate would graduate to the "Left-eye of Horus," school, where intuition and relinquishing fear would lead one towards Buddha-hood.
The Four Agreements follows the tradition of Carlos Castaneda's don Juan Matteus. Ruiz breaks the teachings of don Juan down into four agreements one can make with oneself in order to transcend personal psychology and achieve ultimate freedom. The down-to-earth prose, and familiar style of speech makes this a great book for those interested in spirituality on all levels, from all walks of life. Whether you're searching for enlightenment, or simply looking for a more peaceful existence, the simple instruction in The Four Agreements provide an easy step-by-step manual to obtain your dreams.
The Book of Knowledge: The Keys of Enoch is purported to be an intergalactic calendar accessible by multiple dimensions of consciousness that contains the complex mathematics behind creation. Thick with descriptions of crystalline computers, DNA activation, Merkaba, Tetrahedrons, extraterrestrial life, the 7 rays of creation, and much more. This is a compendium of knowledge, not intended to be read as a book. Its encyclopedic breadth makes it much more than a simple read, it is a reference text for becoming an interstellar astronaut. For those seriously on "the path," you will come across this knowledge at some point, so you should probably have a copy of this book nearby, regardless.

The Mayan Factor: Path Beyond Technology by Jose Arguelles tipped the world on its side when it appeared in the early 1980's. Arguelles' interest in the I Ching and ancient algorithms for prophecy drove him toward breaking the complex code embedded in the Tzolkin, or Mayan Sacred Calendar. Arguelles' conclusions are astonishing. He posits that the calendar, in fact, measures mathematics that undulate to and from the center of the galaxy (Hunab Ku) in different tones each moment. The complexity of tones and directionality can be represented by the 260 day calendar, which is in fact a code for understanding the rhythms of the universe, and in turn, life. The Teachings of Don Juan: A Yaqui Way of Knowledge shattered the paradigm on contemporary anthropology when it was published in the 1960s. The story follows a young Carlos as he attends UCLA for a graduate degree in anthropology. Interested in seeking information on Native American shamanism, Castaneda is introduced to don Juan Matteus at a bus station where Carlos asks him for information regarding peyote. After a few reprimands over the course of several weeks Don Juan vehemently asserts that he doesn't teach "pieces of information," but a "system of knowledge," that--in order for Carlos to follow--requires that he give up his entire existence in Western Culture. What follows can only be described as a life-altering apprenticeship into the deepest mysteries of Mayan sorcery.
Don Juan relates to Castaneda that only through "active dreaming" can a sorcerer develop a "dreaming body" (astral body) in order to explore the many worlds of awareness. Along the way, Carlos encounters non-organic beings, giant dreamscapes reflecting his inner warrior, and spirit allies all utilized toward obtaining "seeing". Unlike the storytelling nature of Castaneda's previous works, The Art of Dreaming is intended to be read both as a dream journal, and manual for navigating, and eventually co-creating the dreamworld. A mind-altering assault on normal, logical paradigm thought, The Art of Dreaming helps readers comprehend how to actively engage in their own dreams, and in turn their personal liberation.
Breaking Open the Head: A Psychedelic Journey into the Heart of Contemporary Shamanism written by Daniel Pinchbeck (2012 the Return of Quetzalcoatl) blasts the reader into a mind-bending travelogue in search of man's ultimate realization. From the outset, Breaking Open the Head unfurls a hidden world of human potential that is essentially unlocked through the usage of many forms of sacred medicine. Lucid tales involving native shamans, ayahuasca, psilocybin, iboga, datura, salvia, LSD, DMT, MDMA pervade the journey of humankind's origin and potential for evolution. Breaking Open the Head vividly details Pinchbeck's individual accounts with such "plant teachers," instructing the author on how to transcend personal psychology in order to harmonize with an imminent awakening of human consciousness. The harrowing, and courageous adventure is a thrill-seeking peek into pure consciousness as revealed by native and shamanic teachings worldwide.
The Egyptian Book of the Dead is one of the oldest religious texts known to man, originating as far back as 4,000 b.c.e. The text begins with the mummification and purification rituals of dead bodies in Ancient Egypt, and proceeds to describe the journey of the soul into the afterlife, foreshadowing many common archetypes prevalent throughout Western Religions, including Christianity, Hellenistic Greek, Early Paganism, and Zoroastrianism. One of the oldest texts recognizing the existence of an "astral body", The Egyptian Book of the Dead is rich in symbolism and dedications to the Egyptian Pantheon of Gods, primarily Osiris, an early prototype for the Christian figure, Jesus Christ. The text predates other well-known Egyptian literature, including The Pyramid Texts, and Coffin Texts. For any serious student interested in the origins of Western Religion and Culture, as well as spiritual journeys in the guise of Egyptian burial rituals, the text is essential to a well-rounded library.
The 700 verse poem recounts the story of Arjuna's talk with Lord Krishna on the battlefield before the Kurukshetra War, pondering his responsibility as a warrior. Lord Krishna's identity remains hidden as he advises Arjuna on Yogic and Vedic Philosophy, until he is finally revealed as the God-head incarnate. The text is rich in Hindu theology and symbolism, and can be read as a guide to life and achieving liberation. The text can be considered an Upanishad, a classic text revealed regarding instructions on earth. One of the most widely read religious texts worldwide, The Bhagavad Gita is a great introduction to Hindi ideals, and is a launching pad for understanding Eastern thought and ideals.
The Tao Te Ching is the seminal Taoist text, originally composed during the 4th Century b.c.e. in China by Lao Tzu. Tao, also known as "the way", is an Eastern Philosophical concept relating to the natural unfolding process of mind as revealed through life. The Tao Te Ching is composed of 87 short chapters, written poetically, that can be viewed similarly to Buddhist Koans, word puzzles that naturally help the ego mind realize its true essence. Wu-wei (non-doing), and Fu (the return of all things to essence) concurrently reappear as themes throughout the text, further elaborating on an ancient system of thought that synthesizes the duality of yin and yang into a concept of totality.
The Tibetan Book of the Dead is the seminal work on Tibetan Buddhism. First translated into English in the mid 20th Century, this revised edition is the first FULL version of the text ever translated into English. The sacred scriptures focus on Death as the vehicle for release from Samsara--endless suffering--into ultimate liberation in the nature of Buddha Mind. The Tibetan Book of the Dead calls on serious practitioners of the eightfold path to take the Bodhisattva stance to liberate all sentient beings from suffering and place them on the level of perfect enlightenment. The text can be seen as a manual for practice, offering mantras, mandala meditation, Phowa practice, and more, while continually stressing the importance of receiving true instruction from a Guru or Master. Following the ideas of compassion, mindfulness, right speech, and right action, The Tibetan Book of the Dead is an essential manual for any serious student of spirituality or Buddhism.

The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying is the classic interpretation of the Tibetan Book of the Dead, as examined by reincarnated Master Sogyal Rinpoche from Tibet. Often heralded as the most accessible investigation of the text, the Tibetan Book of Living and Dying's storytelling prose and heartfelt erudition of these ancient teachings deeply elaborates on key Vajrayana Buddhist concepts such as meditation, mindfulness, Phowa practice, and the Guru-Disciple relationship. The heart of the Tibetan Book of Living and Dying focuses on Tibetan Dream Yoga and Phowa practice as a way to incorporate death into our everyday lives in order to obtain ultimate liberation and freedom. Stressing the importance of lineage, adherence to the Eightfold Path, and understanding of the Four-Noble truths, the Tibetan Book of Living and Dying draws on the ancient tradition which brought the Dalai Lama to the Western World in hopes for an end to world-wide suffering.
This seminal text by the first Yogin to be invited to the White House, Yogananda, marks the beginning of a large influx of Eastern Mysticism to the Western World in the early part of the 20th Century. Written in 1946, Autobiography of a Yogi, demonstrates the ideals of Self-Realization Fellowship, a Kriya Yoga Foundation established throughout the world. Disseminating teachings from Master Sri Yukteswar via bildungsroman, the reader grows to understand the mysteries and complexities of Kriya Yoga with Yogananda through stories and vivid memories. Yogananda's gentle demeanor with his disciples and masters demonstrates embodiment of cosmic consciousness as realized through this reincarnated master's life. Other books by Yogananda: Man's Eternal Quest, The Second Coming of Christ, The Bhagavad Gita.
