Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories out now for iOS!

Out now is the latest port from the GTA series, Liberty City Stories from Rockstar Games. The official press release describes it as:

In Liberty City Stories, former trusted wise guy for the Leone crime family, Toni Cipriani returns home after spending time in hiding for killing a made man. Now, the streets of Liberty City are in turmoil, as warring families vie for control and the town begins to self-destruct under waves of political corruption, organized crime, drug trafficking and union strikes. Deranged hit men, morally depraved tycoons, cynical politicians and even his own mother stand in the way as Toni tries to bring the city under Leone family control.

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories is available in the app store for 6.99 USD.

GTA Chinatown Wars Out Now!

GTA Chinatown Wars has come out for the Nintendo DS, and is already being called by some the best DS game ever. Here's an idea of the story:

Following his father's murder, Huang Lee has a simple mission: deliver an ancient sword to his Uncle Kenny to ensure his family retains control of the Triad gangs of Liberty City. Huang is a spoiled rich kid who expects everything to run smoothly, but his trip does not go exactly as planned. After being robbed and left to die, he will search for honor, riches and revenge in the most dangerous and morally bankrupt city in the world.

The game features full GTA style gameplay, with a replay feature for missions, co-op action, and full stat tracking.

This has been announced at the Nintendo E3 Press Conference. It will be set in Liberty City. More details to follow!

GTA IV Glitch: Preventing you from getting 100%

As a heads up to those out there going for 100%, there is a well-known glitch that many people are experiencing that limits the completion amount to 98%. I won't post the details here because some people may not want to see character names, but please read up on the post by Synchronizer to see if it's happened to you.

Only 2,676 Claims in GTA Hot Coffee Lawsuit

GameDaily is reporting that the hot coffee lawsuits, if you remember from San Andreas, only bothered 2,676 enough for them to file in the class action lawsuit.

These various claims, which range from $5 to $35 and sometimes include a fresh copy of the game, will cost Take-Two $30,000. Take-Two has agreed to make a $860,000 charitable contribution as well. By contrast to this, Lesser and his colleagues at 10 other law firms are seeing $1.3 million in legal fees, a fact that rankles some.

It looks like Rockstar got a great deal out of the hot coffee fiasco: a ton of free press!

GTA IV DLC Delayed until Nov 08 - Jan 09

There's been a slight delay as to when we can expect to see new GTA IV DLC. Take-Two says:

"Fiscal 2008 guidance reflects the release of the first instalment of episodic content for Grand Theft Auto IV for Xbox 360 in the first quarter of fiscal 2009 instead of the fourth quarter of fiscal 2008 in order to provide a better balance in Take-Two's release schedule..."

Odds are we will be seeing a release in time for Christmas '08.

GTA IV Reviewed by Zero Punctuation

Looking for a laugh? Yahtzee reviews GTA IV and points out some flaws he finds in the game, but overall he enjoys it. Don't take it too seriously though!
