So kiddos, it's been a while since I've posted a look. I had run out of creative energy between work and school, but Sharksbiteoflife on youtube posted a contest recently that had me going to grab a wig and painting my face. Her contest was to create either a cretive or wearable look based on a board game. I chose to do a wearable look based on Candy Land, one of my favorite games. For this project, I decided to replicate one of my "Barbie and Ken" illustrations. Frida Kahlo is one of my favorite
artists. She was surreal before the surrealists knew what was going on. She
painted her feelings. She wore authentic Tijuana costumes. She had a uni-brow.
She and her husband Diego Rivera might’ve eaten human flesh. How can you not

I have no idea what possessed me to make a giant steak. I just had an idea to make a giant piece of food, and what better thing to make while I'm considering going vegetarian, than a huge T-bone steak? 

The meat sculpture is is made of papier mache, foam core, and is painted with acrylic paints. It measures about 2.5' X 3.5'

The runways of major design houses have one thing in common these last few seasons, eye brows. They've been tinted, removed, bleached, and drawn on in crazy angles. No two shows have had the same eyebrows going.

The first in my gun series. This one is a self portrait and, well, it also happens to be the most violent in the series. I'm asked quite a bit why my self-portraits are tinged with darkness. I don't know why, I guess I just enjoy it. Plus, I really love red.
