B. Roger Clemens never in fact use steroids, but his legacy will forever be tarnished because he was falsely accused of something he never did.

Get off of what hook? The only thing at stake here is Clemens’ reputation. He isn’t facing jail time for his steroid use. This whole thing has no impact on society at all. Considering all of the issues out there (elections, health care, national security, Britney Spears), Clemens’ steroid use hardly has any meaningful impact on society.
