is a good day to die... er, I mean run". Two acquaintances of mine, Dave
and Lauren, are endeavoring to run the Chicago
Marathon. It is an exciting time. If the weather holds, it should be a good
 day to run.

As they departed at 5 I said, "Let me be the last person today to let
you know that you guys are crazy, but I have a lot of respect for you".

This brings back memories of my distance running days several years ago. The
longest that I can remember running though was about 10 miles with most runs
being 6 or less. It also reminds me about my cousin Dirk running the New York
City marathon some years ago. Who knows, I could be inspired to come out of
 my "semi-retirement" to run again.

As I am able, I will update with split times/finishing results. You can track
 your runner(s) here.

***These are the unofficial results as posted on the web***

8:26 AM Update:
Dave was through the start at 8:09:44 AM CST
Lauren was also through the start at 8:09:44 AM CST
