With NATO straps, and drab military colors the watch may help you re-live your dream of truly being in the Swiss-Army. If the idea works they will deploy 1’800, and the response they have so far is very positive. I think this could be a great idea, anything that makes the crews job easier, and makes my time on the plane more relaxed and enjoyable gets my vote. Also, if you were curious BA is not the first, United recently handed out thousands to pilots along the same lines, and again if it makes their job easier I have no reason to object.

Realistically even without the merger AT&T should be capable of opening local call centers today, pulling out of there India based outsourcing roles and hiring unemployed Americans (or for that matter sharing the work with Canada). There are lots of tax benefits for bringing work back to North America, let alone doing it just for the sake of having a social conscience.

Now, I have worked in a office before where business dress was mandatory, so I’m not saying I want this to become the standard again, however wouldn’t it be nice if we all dressed up a little more. I say we pick a specific day each week and class it up, the opposite of blue-jean-Fridays, perhaps three-piece-Tuesdays?
