16 Weeks...

Can you believe it's been 4 weeks already? Am I going to say this every time 4 weeks pass? Probably until the last two months ;)

Pregnancy continues to be uncomplicated and belly & baby continue to grow. My Midwife appointment is Thursday & we'll schedule my Ultra Sound with in the next 4 weeks! I love the 2nd trimester because the exhaustion lightens up, the belly starts to show, you start to feel the baby's first movements, and find out the sex of the baby.

Cohen continues to talk about the baby, how it's growing, and says the baby is home in mommy's belly. Keira kisses my belly but I'm pretty sure she doesn't know what's going on.

18 months...

And one day!

I can't believe my baby girl is already 18 months! She's such a big girl now, here's a little update on our sweet Keira:

She's says no to any question you ask her, even when she means yes.

She loves to play make up with mom, and has just learned how to open the lip gloss and mascara tubes.

She's starting to climb all over things, her favorite spot is one top of the kitchen table, & the most scariest is the swing set ladder.

She loves to cuddle.

She says: Hot, Cat, dog, mom, dad, hi, bye, thanks, please, cheese, soft, spongebob or bob for short & probably a lot more that I'm just not remembering at the moment.

She's not much of a signer but she signs, all done, dog, and milk(which also means drink to her) I just wish she would get the most important sign down... eat or at least say it.

When she's doing something she knows she's not suppose to be she turns around and gives me the biggest grin ever.

She loves cuddling her brother and giving him kisses but hates it when he does it to her. and vis versa

She loves to draw, but her art usually ends up on walls, floors, clothing, furniture and herself.

She's a good eater & loves veggies and not so much meat. She also has a sweet tooth. When it's time to eat she says num a num a num. (all very opposite of her brother)

At home she's a cling on and is always in the same room as me but in public she wants to run wild. Most grocery store visits end abruptly with Keira in a football hold screaming her lungs out. But I've recently found that bribery with a lollipop saves the day!

She loves to help mom sweep by sweeping the pile that mom just got finished putting together.

She would win world champion at tantrum throwing, it's the funniest when she has her squeak shoes on she stomps then gets on her back and kicks then turns on her belly and kicks along with the fist on the floor.She hits herself, scratches and sometimes bangs her head. (not so funny)

Keira is sporting the new outfit I just made. I actually made it as a gift for a friend that is the same size as Keira, so my excuse to rid the guilt of letting Keira wear it first is to make sure it fits.... and of course take pictures to it show off ;) There are a couple flaws so I'm considering just making a duplicate.

Fun week for the kids...

This week was fun for the kids with a warm windy day earlier in the week we flew a kite and played on the swing set! Cohen loved getting the kite in the air, but with only gusts of wind we really couldn't keep it up for long. And with all the nose dives I thought for sure someone was going to get their eye's poked out. The $1 spongebob kite has lived to see another day, and so we shall play another day.

Today we met up with my old friend Adale and her little girl Avy at jungle jims. I haven't seen her since September and we haven't seen each other's kids since Avy's 2nd Birthday (now 3 1/2) Avy is so smart, when Adale mentioned going to see Cohen she remembered Cohen trying to push her down. (not really typical of Cohen but apparently Avy seems to be the pushable type?) Cohen got lost twice, the little stinker kept wondering off, and I thought it would be Keira that i would have to chase after. Cohen loved all the rides and Keira wasn't really sure, the only one she really despised was the carousel which I don't understand because I was standing right there.

Keira is wearing her very first dress designed from scratch by me, & has her very first set of pig tails!

What should have been a 1 hour project ended up being a 5 hour adventure. With out any direction I kept sewing the wrong sides together, then the embroidery machine went on strike, ruining the brown and green dot side, Had to completely remake this part. then the tension wasn't right, then the last step, an auto button hole maker wouldn't line up right. Practice makes perfect! I'm going to make some changes to the pattern and make a couple for a certain soon to be bday girl. ;)

Alright, I'll admit it, I'm a post slacker! I read all your blogs and have yet to post our recent events.

After talking about how Cohen LOVES fish and talking about how he has mastered potty training I decided that for Cohen's big prize for accomplishing a huge milestone we got him a beta fish. The next day he killed it by filling the water all the way to the top of the plant. He came upstairs and told me that "the fish isn't swimming, it's dead. Can I have another one?" I didn't believe him because the fish seemed in good health. Well I guess he thought he needed more water and filled it to the top and sufficated him. Daddy helped Cohen flush the fish down the toilet and now when ever we're in the bathroom he says his farewell to the fish. We had a little talk about not putting any water in the bowl and he could help feed the fish, so that night I got him another one. I noticed that after I purchased him his gills were black, so I'm thinking this one isn't going to last to long either, but so far so good! Cohen loves to eat his meals with him on the table and talks to him. I asked him to name the fish but he didn't seem to know the word name, so I taught him that Cohen is his "name" and so forth, he named the fish... fishy

We went to the circus a couple weeks ago with John, Lindsey, Gracee, and Elly. What a disaster. Keira is so clingy all day at the house but once she's in a public place there is no way to keep her contained! She wanted to run, run, run! Me and Warren took turns with her. During the intermission we got to see the Elephants, ponies, pink and blue poodles, and a bear up close. I felt so bad for the elephants, they looked old and sad, I don't know how people feel good about getting rides on them. Maybe if they were younger and peppy. Keira wanted to run around and there were people everywhere and I was afraid she was going to get lost in the crowd. She was so upset with me and we decided 5 minutes into the second half to go home. I don't think we'll be going to a circus for a long time.

The kids have been sick this past week. I took Keira and Cohen to the Library for their special sing & read session with the toddlers. Then after we went to Mcdonalds for some lunch. Cohen was having a blast in the play area when I smelled stinky Keira, Cohen was deep inside the play area so I had to ask another mom to keep an eye on him while I changed her. Keira blew out all over her clothes, not a piece was salvaged and I didn't have anything to put her in. I had to walk all the way through mcdonalds with a naked, but diapered baby. Everyone stared! Good thing I had her long coat that I immediatly put on her. Finally I talked Cohen into leaving with some icecream and we left for home. What an event that wont soon be forgotten.

3 months!

Can you beleive it's been 4 weeks already? I can't, I'm 1/3 done with this pregnancy. (Remind me of this when I'm near the end and can't stop complaining for it to end)

I'm not as tired anymore and I didn't gain as much weight as I thought. Last time I weighed myself fully clothed at the end of the day. I am having to unbutton my pants but I'm not quite ready for maternity cloths.

My midwife is moving to New Mexico. I'm pretty sad about it, she spoils us mama's with free prenatal massages, belly casts, and home prenatal visits. She recommended another pair of midwives that work together and our first appointment is this Thursday.

I'm starting to feel little baby flutters. With Cohen I felt them at 15 weeks and Keira I felt them at 14 weeks. They're sweet little reminders of the growing baby inside me. I speak with a few other home birth mom's and this other lady that was pregnant with me last time is also pregnant now and she felt her baby movements at 10 weeks. Didn't know it was possible but her midwife said that after the first couple babies your muscle tone is weaker allowing you to feel the baby sooner.

Weight: 121 lbs
belly measurement: 30.5" (I expect to grow another 14"!)

As for baby...

the baby weights approximatly 1/2 oz and is approximatly 2.5" long from crown to rump. Is growing tiny fingernails and will be able to open his/her little hands by the end of the week :)

So I forgot couple things about Cohen... Silly me...

Except for a bed wet accident this morning (we all slept in due to Keira being up sick all night) Cohen had been accident free all week day and night. I'm so proud of him!

and second... he loves to be naked! So much that tonight after his tubby he would ask me for something he really wants and my response would be, if you go get your jammies on I'll give you _____. His choice was to be naked every time. I guess I just haven't found his most prized possession yet. Maybe the next consequence will be that Nemo gets put away, but he hasn't been playing with him tonight. I'll make sure he gets dressed sooner or later tonight, but I'm trying to teach him choices and consequences of his choices.

I keep thinking of things I want to blog about, but then I forget I really need to write things down!!

Keira has had a rough month. She's been weaned from nursing, had the dental surgery, teethed the top and bottom eye teeth and now had a cough. The poor thing. Warren thinks I treat her like a princess but I just feel so bad for her this month. She's starting to say more words everyday, she says thank you "dee dee" (it use to be "thay") and we're working on please. she has said it but we're trying to teach her when to say it. She likes soft things or in her words "shaugh" some words she has said clearly like cheese, duck, and dog. She loves playing patty cake and rolls and throws it all by herself. She likes head shoulders knees and toes, she touches her head and immediately goes to her toes then her nose. She is quite the eater! She seriously eats as much as me and Warren at times!

Cohen has become quite the helper. He throws away Keira's diapers for me and he has the "I'll do it!" attitude, if Keira closes the bathroom door before he does, he'll open it to close it again. He likes to help cook and boss Keira around. They love on each other as much as they fight with each other. He's a water baby and he takes his finding nemo figurines, puts them in plastic baggies, and adds water. I think he got this from buying fish at the fish store for the pond last summer. I think we might get him an indoor fish to take care of for his birthday since he just seems to be obsessed with the fishies. He is not an eater, it's really hard to get him to eat much of anything. He has a weird texture thing. his 1st birthday he was freaked out at the furry like frosting for elmo. He was scared of those stringy rubbery balls, he likes ice cream and some candies but if you mix them he wont touch it, and just recently he gagged when he was eating yogurt with a chunk of cherry.

Warren has been working hard as usual, they got a new water jet and he was put in charge of it. More work for him but I think they are taking some other things away so he can concentrate on his manager skills. He actually came home at a decent time last week, before everyone else had left but after 5pm. His boss called him to ask him what was wrong. lol These days I don't see him till after 7 and the other day he had to work till 11pm to finish a rush order. I told him he should get to sleep in, but he's such a hard worker he went to work on time the next day. This is when Salary really kind of sucks! He's been working out every morning until recently when he got sick and has become really interested in investing in stocks and real estate.

As for me, I'm kind of lost with out school and I miss it, but it's nice to have all this time on my hands. To bad I have so much fatigue from this pregnancy! It should subside soon, I'm almost through the first trimester. Michael's has demoted full time workers to part time, taken away their insurance, and gave them a pay cut. Part-time workers (ME) have been dropped to 4 hours a week, huge hour cut since I was working 16-20. I've been wanting to quit, I hate giving up my weekends with Warren, and missing out on events because I have to work. So I put in my 2 weeks last week and gave her permission to give away my hours to others that needed it. Now I have time to work on my business and be less stressed. I want to finish painting our room that was started almost 2 years ago, can't wait to get some spring cleaning done, and when my brother moves out I'm going to put my craft room downstairs in that room and turn the rest of the room into a play area for the kids.

8 Weeks...

Well, 8 weeks and one day :)

I'm excited that we have made it to 8 weeks already! The past few weeks I've been confused as to all the pain and cramps I had been experiencing and I must say I was detaching myself from my pregnancy because I feared a miscarriage. So last Thursday I went to to get the baby checked. He/She is doing great! I got to see the little heartbeat and all my worries flushed away. It also made it more real! I don't know what it is with me but the first 3-4 months just doesn't seem real to me. I keep the pregnancy tests on my bathroom counter as a little reminder.

Keira & Cohen's pregnancies were pretty much the same (except for Keira's pre-term fake outs) the only first trimester pregnancy symptoms were extreame fatique and bigger boobs. This baby I get nausious, cramping, & fatique, not so much bigger boobs since I only weaned Keira 3-4 weeks ago. Just goes to show that every pregnancy is different.

Cohen has fallen in love with the idea of a new baby. I thought I would have to remind him that there's a baby growing in my belly but he reminds me everyday. He talks to the baby and kisses my tummy. He says he wants a brother. I think I'm having a boy as well.

So no pictures this time maybe later in the week (I tend to be more bloated at night) I'm already poking out but I think the holidays and weaning Keira has had something to do with that.

My goal for this pregnancy is to not gain 55 lbs like I did with both Cohen and Keira. The past two times the weight melted off by month 6 but that extra weight sure makes the pregnancy miserable.

Starting weight: 114 lbs

Current weight; 121 lbs (hmm... looks like I'm on my way to that weight gain already probably should change my diet)

Chris "Junkyard" Searcy

March 9, 1982

On January, 14th 2009 Warren got the call that our friend Chris Searcy had passed away. We were shocked and confused of the loss of this amazing person. You wouldn't know by Chris's tough outer shell, the gauged ears and tattoo's but once you got to know Chris he was a big soft teddy bear that knew how to have a good time.

I met Chris almost 11 years ago when I had met Warren. I would hang out with the boys while they went skating at the church or just hanging out as friends having a good time. I'll always remember Jumping the big hill on 94th and Wasatch in his small blue colt. As time passed we drifted apart, occationally reconnecting to catch up. We'll forever regret not getting together more often and he'll be greatly missed.

Today we said our final farewell at the Larkin Mortuary. Chris had worked there for many years so it was no surprise that the employee's had also attended the service. It wasn't a tradtional service, it went strieght from the viewing to graveyard services were we listened to Johnny Cash and shared memories and condolences. It's what Chris would have wanted. It was amazing to see how many peoples lives he had touched and I hope he knows how much he'll be missed. He was taken from us way to early, but we are all greatful to have been friends with Chris.

Goodbye Chris "Junkyard" Searcy, we'll see you on the other side.

Blessing Ways

I never heard of a blessing way until I was introduced to home birth with Keira. One of my home birth gals had one. A blessing way is a non traditional baby shower with close friends and family. A blessing way is a celebration of becoming a mother, it's peaceful, fun, and quite. Negativity and disruptions such as cell phones aren't welcomed in a blessingway. Blessingways don't include presents, silly games, or horror stories of labor and delivery. Instead it is full of ceremonies that will aide the mother in the birth of her child. Like making a birthing necklace, lighting of candles, songs & stories, belly casting, and a nurture basket. Which brings me to why I posted this in the first place! Home Birth...

Some people say I'm crazy or even selfish to choose to birth at home, but I just watched a documentary called "the business of being born" that furthers my decision to birth at home. It has some shocking facts. for instance, did you know that the U.S. has the second highest infant and mother mortality rate in the world, and every 1 in 3 births are C-Section? I recently read a post after a home birth news article, the mother said, "This isn't a 3rd world country." But did you know that everywhere else in the world 70-80% of woman give birth with a midwife and only 1% in the U.S.? I'm not saying you have to have a home birth or trying to pressure anyone into having a non-medicated birth, I'm saying, get your facts and be aware of your options and know the risks of medical interventions. We put so much trust in the doctors and nurses because they have the medical training and they should know better. But it's routine medical interventions that put infants & mothers life at risk.

Here's a senerio the movie gives: A mother goes in and wants to try a non medicated birth, she's not progressing as fast as they would like her to so they give her a drug called Pitocin, this drug make contractions stronger, longer, and more painful, so the mother asks for the epidural, the epidural slows the labor, so they give more pitocin, the stronger longer contractions put the baby in distress and its off to the ER for an emergency c section.

As for birthing at home it's not like I have an untrained midwife that comes over with just a hot towel. She comes with medications to stop bleeding, oxygen, heart monitor, and much more. She has the knowledge and gear to help find potential problems and most of the time there's a hospital nearby for transfer when an emergency intervention is needed.

I'm not saying the hospitals are worthless either, I'm greatful they are there for true emergencies, for when there is a true actual problem that requires medical interventions. But I think we need to rethink the process because something really should change with these statistics, right?

Save Small Business From the CPSIA

A Proposal From the handmadetoyalliance. org:

In 2007, large toy manufacturers who outsource their production to China and other developing countries violated the public's trust. They were selling toys containing dangerously high lead content, unsafe small parts, and chemicals that made kids sick.

The United States Congress rightly recognized that the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) lacked the authority and staffing to prevent dangerous toys from being imported into the US. So, they passed the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) in August 2008. Among other things, the CPSIA bans lead and phthalates in children's products, mandates third party testing and certification, and requires manufacturers of all goods for children under the age of 12, to permanently label each item with a date and batch number.

All of these changes will be fairly easy for large, multinational companies to comply with. Large manufacturers who make thousands of units of each item have very little incremental cost to pay for testing and updating their systems to include batch labels. Small businesses however, will likely be driven out of business by the costs of mandatory testing, to the tune of as much as $4,000 or more per item. And the few larger manufacturers who still employ workers in the United States face increased costs to comply with the CPSIA, even though American-made toys had nothing to do with the toy safety problems of 2007.

Anyone who produces or sells any of the following new or used items will be required to comply with the law: toys, books, clothing, art, educational supplies, materials for the learning disabled, bicycles, and more. Any uncertified item intended for children under the age of 12 will be considered contraband after February 10, 2009. It will be illegal to sell or give these items away to charities, and the government will require their destruction or permanent disposal, resulting in millions of tons of unnecessary waste, and placing an enormous strain on our landfills.

There is a clear disconnect between the sweeping nature of this law, and the narrow range of products that were problematic in 2007. The CPSIA applies standards that were put in place in reaction to the sale of toys contaminated with lead paint and toxic plastics. Rather than focus on these materials, this law places a guilty until proven innocent mentality on all children's product producers by imposing mandatory testing and certification, and in the process will kill an entire industry.

Thriving small businesses are crucial to the financial health of our nation. Let's amend the CPSIA so that all businesses large and small are able to comply and survive!

Cute things my kiddo's say!

Whenever we call Cohen something like, cute boy, silly, ect.. "He says I'm not silly, I'm Cohen!" around halloween he was pretending to be a ghost and we would say, oh no a ghost! Cohen: "I'm not a ghost, I'm Cohen!" Ect...

Cohen calls Keira, Queya. He had another name for her before that but I'll have to look it up in Keira's first calander.

Cohen always says Thanks instead of Thank you, and Keira caught on and says "Tha!" whenever we give her something.

Cohen's out of diapers now with minimum accidents, but when he was in diapers and he would poop he would tell me there's spiders biting his bum. Not sure where he got that from... lol "mom, spiders biting me, it's itchy!" I told him that he needed to tell mommy as soon as he went poop so the spiders wouldn't bite his bum.

Decisions Decisions...

After debating with my husband about school, we decided to un enroll from Steven's Henager. 3 of the teachers I've had have made a comment to make rethink Steven's... "If it was a normal 3 month class I could teach you more." At the end of the class I just felt like I hadn't learned enough of the program to go off on my own. Stevens Henager's goal is to get your degree fast and to get a degree fast you have to pay the extra mula to get it. I'm using this education to run my own online design business so a fast degree isn't really necessary. The down side is I have to return my mac along with my computer programming. However, a degree at Steven's costs $33000 and I think I can get a new computer and programming for a lot less then that, I just have to pay for it up front ;)

One of the teachers swears by this training website www.lynda.com they offer online training videos for over 500 programs, and this program claims it's better then online collage courses. For only $350 a year which is a far cry from $33000 The only downside is I don't get a degree for it. I'm going to miss the challenge and the A+ grades because it really helped my self esteem.

Today I learned a very harsh lesson of backing up my computer, my Dell computers hard drive crashed! :@ Everything was lost. I usually backup my pictures to photobucket but I hadn't done it in months. I'm glad I didn't delete the recent pictures of my SD Card from my camera. Pictures, files, information... all lost. I'm glad it's still covered under warranty though and it is being replaced for no charge. Still, there's no way to get that stuff back.

Keira's big day...

Today was Keira's surgery. I have to admit I was a worry wort and thought of only the worst case senario all night! She slept in her own bed all night for the second time of her little life, we got her up at 6:30 and headed down to Primary Children's Hospital. She had a great time playing with all the toys and was such a big girl when they weighted, measured, and did her vitals. No tears. They gave her some anti anxiety medication along with some heart strengthener, and anti saliva. 5 minutes later she was in total bliss, singing baby signing time, smiling, and swaying all over. They came to take her and I told her bye bye and she waved and said bye back. It was so hard! It seemed to go by faster then expected and she pulled through great! She got four crowns, four root canals, and seals on all her teeth. She was upset when she first woke up and I held her and she went back to sleep for about an hour and she was up and talking drinking her juice cuddling her elmo and smiling. It was a very expensive and painful lesson to learn.

Keira started showing signs of decay a few months ago, a white line across the top of her teeth that wouldn't brush off. Me being naive, thinking it couldn't be decay since I brushed her teeth, looked online to see if it could be something else. Like I mentioned in my last blog I had taken antibiotics during pregnancy that could have caused this. It was crazy how fast the enamel came off as soon as I started seeing brown spots. I feel so guilty for making my sweet daughter go through this. She depended on nursing at night when she was sick or teething, it was the only way we could get any sleep! So learn from my mistake, Don't let milk or other sugar liquids pool in the mouth overnight or long periods of time, take your babies to the dentist before their first bday and start fluoride toothpaste at 15 months :)

Christmas started at Grandma and Grandpa Lambson's Christmas Eve. We had a yummy ham dinner and the kiddo's opened their presents from the grandparents and the exchange gift between the cousins. Cohen got a spongebob ride and bounce ball & moonsand from grandma and more moonsand and building kits from cousin Mitchell. Keira got a sweet baby that blinks and drinks and a cute diaper bag from grandma and a large fuzzy unicorn from Aunti Gabbi (she wanted to be involved in the drawing too) Cohen bounced around the house the rest of the night falling several times and once getting a bloody nose just to hop right back up and bounce again. Keira got upset that we couldn't get the baby out fast enough! it was all tied up in the box and took several minutes to get it out. After a long night of fun and games we all went home and opened our christmas jammies, Warren made a fire and I put the kids to bed. I almost fell asleep with them.

I went downstairs to find that Santa forgot the battaries to Cohens race car track! It was 11:40 and I rushed to Walgreens because Warren said they were open till midnight... WRONG 7-11 on 90th was opened but didn't have D battaries, Walmart was closed, Smiths was closed, then down Sigo Lily to the next 7-11 Just in time with 1 minuite till close I got the battaries and Thanked them many times for being opened for me! There was a lady there stocking stuffer shopping for her kids... Who waits till midnight chirstmas eve to get stocking stuffers for their kids??

We had a lot to do christmas morning, go to grandma's for breakfast, then off to grandpa ron's for more christmas fun! I was the first to wake up, I made coffee and got the video recorder ready. Cohen and Keira were still asleep and weren't budging, I tickled them awake! Got warren to go downstairs to get the camera ready to record and the kiddo's were so excited to see their surprises. Cohen got a batman race track from Santa and Keira got a wooden baby cradle. He even took the time to gather up all the babies she had opened for christmas and put it in the sweet cradle. Keira got a water baby from us and Cohen got The banshee set from Mater and the ghost light short film. Keira got a jack in the box that Cohen loves and genuinly jumps every time it comes out. I think Keira's afraid of it. lol Warren got his big present months ago... an xbox and guitar hero but I still wanted him to open a couple presents. So he got remote control helicopters, two of them since last year he broke it the day he got it. (Warren let cohen drive one and broke it instantly) I got a drawing tablet for school and a digital frame!

We had a yummy breakfast and Grandma Elkins house and off to Grandpa Ron's! Skyler was running late and Cohen was getting anxious to open some gifts! Cohen got a book set with movie reel and a memory matching game, and Keira got a fun princess ride on toy. We got a coffee table trival pursuit game, Jammies, and aveda lotions! We were happy with that but they surprised us with one last family gift. A weekend in May at a resort located near lake mead called a pirates cove. It has a little water resort with, kiddie pools, slides and cliff diving if you dare. I guess someone died on one of th slides so I guess I wont be going down it 6 months pregnant! They rented out the whole place so it will be just the family. I'll try to see if there's pictures on the web to show you. If not you'll have to wait to May ;)

What a wonderful Christmas this year. I cherish the time we spend with our family and friends!

Keira's first dentist appointment

Keira had her first dentist appointment today. About two months ago I noticed a white line at the top of her teeth that wouldn't brush off. Since I brush her teeth I didn't think it was decay so I did some research on the internet and there was a list of things that it could have been, like taking antibiotics during pregnancy or to much fluoride, or not enough calcium, or was it to much? Well about two weeks ago I started noticing brown spots so I called the dentist immediatly! She has to have four crowns, possible root canals, and seals on the rest of her teeth. My appointment options were this Friday or sometime in April! I didn't want them to get worse so I opted for Friday. Already upset about risking my childs life for dental surgery (1 in every 201,000 maybe if it was more like 100 million I would feel better.) The dental office called and said Keira wasn't covered and was canceled by the employer in July, but there wasn't any problems with her recent dr. visit in October so now I'm stressed about that as well! Hopefully we can get everything fixed by the end of the day so I can at least have some stress relief.

Merry Christmas! I found out Sunday that I'm expecting baby #3! Due end of August Beginning of September. I guess I'm most fertile in December! Both Keira and Cohen were conceived in December, what can I say it's a magical month!

I surprised Warren with a gift with booties and binkies and 3 positive tests. With both Keira and Cohen he was in disbelief, with Cohen he wanted a Doctors diagnosis and with Keira he said, nu uh! So I figured 3 tests would do the trick! After we had breakfast with Grandma Elkins we went to Ron's and then Marilee's to let them open the same present. What a great Christmas surprise!

This past week has been full of fun, laughs, and togetherness... :D I forgot the camera but I had a couple family members take some pictures that I'm waiting on so hopefully you'll see them soon!

The parties began Wednesday with my Grandma Elkins grand kid party. We had a yummy lasaugna dinner and the great grand kids got presents. Keira got twin baby dolls, when she first opened them she didn't know which one to hold first! She kept switching till I showed her she could hold both! Cohen got two of grandpa's chevron cars that he's been collecting for probably over 20 years now... I'm so envious because me and the other grand kids got into trouble for even touching them and now he's giving them away to the small great grand boys... :)

Friday was Warren's company Christmas party at Flemings! I had to do some shift switching so I could have it off, but we made it! We always have the nicest yummiest full course meal! Taxi is paid for and so is the booze! We took the trax and it took a full hour to get there. I had a great time till 10pm rolled around and I was exhausted from the previous night with sick little Keira! We finally made it home around midnight.

Saturday day we went to the 2nd annual Zitting grand kids party at the bowling ally! With over 100 grand kids not including the great grand kids, the house was getting a little cramped, so the Zittings rent out two bowling allies and hold a party in St. George and in Salt Lake (at different times). Grandparents hand out quarters for the kids to play games and use the vending machine and we all have a good time bowling of course! Cohen Dropped the ball on his fingers once and on his leg the next. He has a nice bruise on his thigh... poor guy... but him and Keira had a great time rolling the ball down the railing and scoring big time! Keira got another baby doll that laughs and Cohen got a fun (loud) guitar that he loves so much. And we got a gift card to Target... Thanks Zitting Family, We all very much enjoy spending time with you!!

Sunday we enjoyed time with my dad's side of the family. I had to work and we were 30 mins late but we still had a nice meal and caught up with each other. I can't believe how big everyone's kids are and we always talk about what we did in that house when we were their age. Keira and Cohen were both very shy and Keira would scream bloody murder if anyone tried to take her! I hope they're shyness goes away when we go to visit My dad and mom on Christmas eve day, there shouldn't be a problem since there will be less people!

Well, that concludes our week! We're all very excited for chirstmas, Cohen asks me everyday if it's time to open presents... I had the presents upstairs in Keira's room and he would shut himself in there. I opened the door expecting to see opened presents, but he was just laying on his tummy admiring at the presents... What a good boy!
