Jennifer Ellison: I can't stop eating!

OMG! With three months to go, my cravings have finally started and it's a nightmare. Literally! I can't stop eating cheese sandwiches with sour cream - I make myself one every night after my performance in Singin' In The Rain. It's so fattening and everyone knows you're not meant to eat cheese before bedtime or you have nightmares, but I can't help myself.

There's loads of Easter eggs still hanging about too. I've been eating the Cadbury Creme Eggs. I'm trying to limit myself or I'll be the size of a house...Thankfully, I'm running out of room in my belly as the baby is getting bigger so I can't eat too much any more. My bump has been giving me some trouble. I've started having physio this week as I'm suffering from sciatica - the baby is lying on my back and it's killing me. Fingers crossed the physio helps ease the pain.

This week I've been shopping for maternity clothes as my bump was getting cold. It's too big to fit in my clothes now so I've been buying loads of vests with elasticated sides. I'm booking a serious pampering session too - I need my hair and nails done if I want to be a yummy mummy.

JENNIFER Ellison you never cease to amaze me. As a classically trained dancer, you’re always magical to watch. When you were in Brookside, you proved you were a serious actress, dealing with some groundbreaking stories. Your beauty put you on the front cover of magazines. In pantos playing the role of Cinderella every little girl wanted to be you.

I remember going to your opening night when you starred as Roxy Hart in Chicago in the West End. Your dancing skills were put to the test and you were pushed to the limit. I was shocked when I heard your fantastic voice. No wonder you won the audience and critics over.

I remember leaving the theatre so proud we were friends and amazed at your talent. One of my top 10 films is Phantom of the Opera, in which you have a cameo role and I smile every time I watch it. Just when I thought I’d seen everything you do, I discovered your fantastic comedy timing. At Easter I went to London to stay with some dear friends and hit the town and partied. I also went to the theatre, to see Singing in the Rain, a classic film transferred to the West End stage, where you, Miss Ellison, played Lina Lamont.

It’s a story of the movie industry, and its transformation from silent movies to the talkies. You play the actress that can’t make that transition. In it you can’t sing and you have the most irritating grating American accent of all time. You play the part so well, getting belly laughs from the audience, which isn’t bad for a five-and-a-half months pregnant lady. You really are a star. So what’s left? You've finally opened your dance school, I can’t wait for my next surprise!.

Jennifer Ellison worries about post natal depression with baby number two

Jen might be chuffed to bits at the prospect of welcoming a tiny new Ellison into the world, but she's not exactly overjoyed at the thought of suffering with the baby blues again. After announcing the total surprise pregnancy in March, she has admitted to Now Magazine: "It’s already crossed my mind. But I hope I should be OK..."

it's no wonder she's finding the whole thing a bit daunting. Her labour with son Bobby in 2010 lasted a casual 92 hours, resulting in a dramatic cesarean section, which she thinks played a part in her tough struggle with post natal depression. She says “I think I got it last time because of the shock of the labour – it was extremely stressful and very scary. Four days of no sleep and then a baby!” Doesn’t sound like a huge barrel of laughs.

But Jennifer is staying chipper about the whole thing, optimistically saying: “I don’t think it will happen with this baby. “Everything was negative in my mind. Thankfully my mum also had postnatal depression, so she recognised the signs. I hope I’ll notice the signs straightaway – fear of the unknown and of not being a good mum.”

When it comes to the horror-story of a birth, she says: “I loved the whole experience. I know it sounds weird, but I knew the pain had a purpose. Maybe I feel fine because Robbie’s so supportive. He didn’t leave my side throughout the whole of my labour. I’m so lucky. "My poor husband Robbie was absolutely traumatised but I was like: 'I want to do it again!' "I’m sure I should be frightened, but I’m not.” Phew! Jen, that’s quite a big pair of cojones you’ve got there.

Yummy Mummy! Jennifer Ellison Looks Radiant As She Returns To Work After Announcing Second Pregnancy

Jen's second pregnancy came as a surprise to her, after she was told by doctors last summer that there was a small chance she would conceive again due to large ovarian cysts. However, a month into her second trimester, the former Dancing On Ice star discovered that she was in fact four months pregnant with her "miracle baby".

"I can't believe it", Jennifer, who is now five months pregnant, said excitedly to Now magazine. "I'm just so happy to be getting a little friend for Bobby".

The former Brookside actress arrived at the theatre last night looking very comfortable in a large, chunky-knit poncho, red polka-dot headband and studded biker boots. And after keeping her baby bump well and truly covered, Jen admitted that she “didn't even feel pregnant”.

“It's funny, I've been so busy working I didn't know I was pregnant until four weeks ago, and I'm almost five months now”. Jennifer doesn't know the sex of the baby, but the mother-to-be is sure that her child is going to be a star.

“My little babba has nt stopped dancing and kicking me all night on stage! Must know the news is out ha ha! X (sic)” Jen tweeted to her followers. But despite the exciting revelation, Jen has no plans to take a break from acting just yet. “I'm just getting on with life. The new baby won't change anything – he or she will just be a new addition to our family”.

Jennifer Ellison's surprise pregnancy despite ovarian cysts

Jennifer Ellison is celebrating her surprise second pregnancy, dubbing her unborn child a 'miracle baby'. Her pregnancy discovery came after doctors said she wouldn't be able to conceive again due to ovarian cysts. Jennifer, 29, revealed her pregnancy in an interview with Now magazine, saying she and husband Robbie Tickle are 'in complete and utter shock' after the happy discovery.

Jennifer said: "I didn't even know I was pregnant until four weeks ago, and I'm almost five months now. I can't believe I'm having another baby in July - it's been a massive shock."The couple already have a son, Bobby, 3.

"'We'd both just come to terms with the fact that we probably weren't going to be having another baby any time soon - and now we're getting ready to do it all over again," Jennifer explained. Ovarian cysts are fluid-filled sacs that form on a woman's ovaries. They are not usually cancerous, although they can be, and are unpreventable in sufferers.

The condition is not to be confused with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), which is a disorder of the hormones and metabolism that often results in numerous 'cysts' on the ovaries. In fact these are follicles, which can interfere with ovulation. Women’s health expert Dr Marilyn Glenville, author of Natural Solutions to PCOS, tells us: "With PCOS there's a lot you can do on the nutritional side that can regulate the cycle and get you ovulating again.

"Ovarian cysts are a very different condition. They're fluid-filled and are a structural problem on the ovary so it just depends where those cysts are and how severe they are - how much they're interfering with ovulation - as to whether conception will be difficult.

"They can be mild and functional meaning they appear as part of the cycle and disappear by themselves. Or they can be structural, which means they don't fluctuate over the cycle. If they're caused by abnormal cell growth they might need to be removed, which can lead to the removal of the entire ovary."

"So it really depends on the type and severity of ovarian cysts. There are certain steps you can take nutritionally, a good healthy diet, drinking plenty of water, taking out certain things like sugar, coffee and alcohol to basically clean the diet, which will improve fertility and hormone balance.

"I would add extra zinc, vitamin C and the healthier they become, the more likely the functional cysts may take care themselves."

"It's good news for Jennifer! And it shows that situations do change."
In most cases occasional ovarian cysts shouldn't prevent pregnancy but those who suffer more severely may find it extremely difficult.

Symptoms of ovarian cysts include pelvic pain, pain during sex, weight gain and abnormal bleeding. It can also cause irregular periods, which is why Jennifer had no idea she was pregnant until she was almost five months.

It goes to show that doctors can sometimes get their predictions wrong. Other celebrities who've conceived after they were told chances were slim include Peaches Geldof, who has PCOS and TV presenter Julia Bradbury, who suffers from endometriosis.

Jennifer Ellison is five months pregnant - and had no clue until a recent trip to her doctor. The Brookside actress was warned by experts that she would struggle to conceive a sibling for her three-year-old son Bobby due to cysts on her ovaries.

The blonde beauty reveals her husband Robbie Tickle joked that she looked pregnant while she appeared in panto earlier this year (13), but she put her curvier shape down to her stage costumes. However, the star was blown away after a doctor recently confirmed she was carrying her second child, and was in fact four months gone.

She tells Now magazine, "I didn't even know I was pregnant until four weeks ago, and I'm almost five months now. I can't believe I'm having another baby in July - it's been a massive shock. We'd both just come to terms with the fact that we probably weren't going to be having another baby any time soon - and now we're getting ready to do it all over again."

Jennifer struggled to shed her baby weight after Bobby's birth and ballooned to a size 18, before embarking on a gruelling fitness regime to get back in shape - and she has vowed not to let the same thing again.

She adds, "I'm a size 12/14 now, but I don't want to be a size 18 again. I won't let myself get to the size of a house. I'll try to stay away from treats, but I won't be obsessive and I won't eat for the sake of eating. It piled on last time because I sat at home bored."

Jennifer Ellison to join the cast of Singin’ in the Rain

Jennifer Ellison is to join the cast of Singin’ in the Rain in the West End. The performer, who has recently starred as Paulette in the tour of Legally Blonde, will join the production on February 18 and will take up the role of Lina Lamont. She replaces Katherine Kingsley.

Ellison said: “Singin’ in the Rain is one of my absolute favourite movie musicals. When I saw the show I left with the biggest grin on my face and a huge spring in my step. Playing any West End role is a thrill and a privilege but to be playing Lina Lamont at the Palace Theatre in this show is pretty much as good as it gets.”

From next month, Louise Bowden will join the show as Kathy Selden, the role originally played in this production of the musical by Scarlett Strallen. Meanwhile, Stephane Annelli will play Cosmo Brown, replacing Daniel Crossley, and Adam Cooper will continue in the production as Don Lockwood.

The musical is produced in the West End by Stage Entertainment UK and Chichester Festival Theatre. It is currently booking at the Palace Theatre until September.

Professional skater Mark Hanretty dislocated his shoulder live on air during his performance with the now eliminated Oona King on Dancing on Ice. Politician King admitted that she accidentally caused his injury after tripping him up before their 'save me skate' on the ITV show, explaining to Lorraine Kelly on Daybreak this morning: "Mark says he's fine, but he's a real hero. He's now a legend at least, you know, so that's good. I have made him a legend.

"I just have to let the nation understand that it was me who tripped him up. He's a pro skater, he did nothing wrong.
