Jennifer Ellison Cuts Leg Open, Just Days After Nasty Head Injury

Jennifer Ellison has insisted that she won't let two grim accidents get in her way as the star battles through the celebrity reality show 'Dancing On Ice'. Former soap star and pop artist Ellison suffered a gruesome looking head injury last week on the live show, carrying on with blood soaked hair. She's now also revealed to the Daily Star newspaper that she suffered another cut - this time on her leg - whilst training with professional partner Dan Whiston.

"When I cut my head it was like being hit with a brick," said the 28 year-old of the live show incident, "I looked at Dan in shock but he didn't realise what had happened and threw me upside down. I honestly thought the back of my head would be hanging off when I finished. It was only when I put my hand on my head at the end that I realised how badly it was bleeding. I basically went into shock and was freezing cold."

She then revealed "I was training at Elstree on Friday when I had another accident. It was a painful deep cut where my skate blade had gouged into my leg." However she was insistent she'd be carrying on, saying "It was bad enough to need stitches but it's not going to stop me from skating. I'm getting straight back out on the ice for more training. Everyone will think I'm crazy but I'm not going to let a few cuts and scrapes get in my way."

Viewers were shocked when the actress cut her head open during the live show last week, making a gash with the blade of her boot during a lift with skating partner Daniel Whiston. Ellison then suffered further injury on Friday when she sliced her leg during training and had to get stitches. She said: 'I've cried quite a lot this week and my confidence has hit an all-time low on the ice. When I cut my head it was like being hit with a brick. I looked at Dan in shock but he didn't realise what had happened and threw me upside down.

'I honestly thought the back of my head would be hanging off when I finished. It was only when I put my hand on my head at the end that I realised how badly it was bleeding. I basically went into shock and was freezing cold.'

Dancing on Ice star Jennifer Ellison has said that she has gotten over the shock head injury she received during last week's show. The 28-year-old was treated by medics at the rink side after cutting her scalp while performing a scorpion kick on the ice dance contest.

The former soap star was treated for shock and Dancing on Ice doctors glued the cut back together. Jennifer proved that she has gotten over the shock of the incident by making jokes about it. She told the Daily Star of her return to the show on Sunday night: "I'll be dancing to The Sugababes' Hole In The Head."

Show insiders had been concerned that Ellison had lost her confidence following a further injury to her leg sustained during training earlier this week. Jennifer told her followers on twiitter: "Can't believe it! Just cut my leg open!"

An insider had told The Sun: "Jennifer had an accident in training yesterday and got a serious cut to her leg which needed stitches. "She will still be skating on Sunday but it's another huge dent to her confidence."

Jennifer Ellison broke down in tears yesterday as she tried to battle back from a nasty skating accident. The Dancing on Ice star was left badly shaken after a skate blade gashed open the top of her head on last Sunday’s show. Now the actress is suffering a confidence crisis. She fears she will be kicked off this weekend’s show if she does not get over the accident.

Yesterday, Jennifer, 28, sobbed after failing to complete her training routine with pro skating partner Dan Whiston. Final rehearsals take place today, and she is running out of time to recover from the trauma after she cut her head with her own skate doing a “scorpion kick”. A show insider said: “Although she went on with the show, what happened really hit home.

“Naturally it hit her confidence at the start of the week but the worry is it’s still a big problem now. “She has a crisis of confidence and couldn’t stop crying. She just can’t seem to get the moves right and is really worried that she will be going home after this Sunday’s show.”

Jennifer and the other skaters fear for their places after bosses announced a double eviction this weekend. Three celebrities will be involved in the skate-off, instead of the usual two, and they will also have to skate a solo routine.

FORMER Brookside actress Jennifer Ellison was left suffering from shock and had blood in her hair after she cut her head on Dancing On Ice. The 28-year-old Widnes resident injured herself with her own skate while attempting a technically-challenging ‘scorpion kick’ during the live show on Sunday. Host Phillip Schofield told ITV1 viewers she had ‘a little bit of shock’.

Jennifer’s skating partner Daniel Whiston said the injury occurred as she completed the move. He said: “It was just a very, very scary moment. “I saw some contact and I thought it was the leather of her skate. “Her whole hair was just red because obviously the heart’s pumping and a lot of blood’s come out. But she’s in great hands.”

She was seen leaving the television studios with her blonde hair covered in blood. However, Jennifer assured fans that she is ‘absolutely fine’ following the injury. In a message posted on the show’s official website, she said: “This is a message to everyone who has been in touch to see if I’m OK. I’m absolutely fine and I have been glued together. “I’ve got a bit of a headache and I’ll probably feel even worse in the morning, but thanks for all the support, it means so much to me. Hopefully, I won’t have to do the routine again.”Jennifer, who wore a sizzling red outfit for the Valentine’s Day-themed show, was scored 19 out of 30 by the judges, but she was off-screen receiving treatment when the results were announced.

Jennifer accidentally kicked herself in the head while attempting a Scorpion Kick move which left a 'really nasty cut' – but she carried on her performance with partner Dan Whiston. A source said: 'The cut was really nasty, her head was covered in blood, but the medical guys did a great job closing it.'

Medical staff used a special glue to close the deep wound in her head, but the injury left her unable to spend time with the other contestants after their performances. The insider added: 'Sadly for Jennifer she was concussed due to the weight of the skate hitting her head. After the show she usually hangs out with the other contestants in the bar to talk about their performances, but on Sunday she felt really sick and a bit dizzy.

'Jen had lots of friends at the show as well and although she tried her best to see everyone she just didn't feel right. At one point she had to rush to the toilet to be sick and then she left.'As well as Jennifer's injury, Sunday's episode was also hit by its lowest ever ratings after just under seven million tuned in to the main show which peaked at 8.3 million.

Former Brookside star Jennifer Ellison has said that taking part in Dancing On Ice 2012 has boosted her confidence. The 28-year-old, who lost a whopping five stone in the lead up to the show, told local paper the Runcorn and Widnes Weekly News that the series had made her feel less insecure about her body.

Jennifer, who’s been partnered with hunky professional skater Dan Whiston for the competition, revealed: “It’s got me back to being me. “I’ve been a mum for two years and I’d not been on TV. It was through choice but it was all about Bobby.

“It’s helped me get back in shape. There was a time when I used to feel insecure walking into a room. I lost confidence after I put on weight.”The blonde beauty impressed the judges last weekend with her skate to Madonna’s Vogue, and will hoping to win over the panel again this Sunday night with a special Valentines themed performance!

Jennifer Ellison Wants Another Baby

The former Brookside actress wants to have three kids, and give a brother or sister to her two-year-old son Bobby. Jennifer might even be pregnant by the end of the year as she's ready to start giving it a go with her husband Robbie Tickle.

"I'd like to have another baby at the end of the year. I'm ready now to start trying again," she told The People. "I have a feeling I might have another boy but I'd love a little girl. I'd like at least three children. I really want Bobby to have brothers or sisters. You don't realise how much you rely on them on later in life, especially when something bad happens."

The Calendar Girls actress put on five stone during her pregnancy with Bobby, but that hasn't put her off getting pregnant again. Talking about her husband, she said: "He is always telling me how gorgeous I am, which is one of the reasons I didn't realise how big I was. Now I've lost the weight, Robbie says, 'I think your body is amazing'."
