I’ve been waiting for this track to be released for a while now, so when I saw that Jantsen was giving it away for free I was stoked. This one absolutely destroys at a live show and gets my head bobbing even when I’m listening to it on my computer.

So it’s about that time again. Friday afternoon/night monthly party mix provided by DJ Trademark. This time around, Trademark’s 4th installment is optimal for a little pre-festival fun. Probably the best thing about this month’s installment is the fact that it’s filled with more obscure electro tracks that haven’t been played out. Yet, they are high energy, synth happy, electro heavy banger followed by another banger. Could you ask for much more when it comes to your summer night festivities? I don’t think so. So turn this on to get yourself hyped for the summer music festivals that are happening across the country (check your local area for one near you), and happy Kollecting. Oh and with DJ Trademark hard at work on his next album (due out later this summer), the good tunes are going to keep on rolling in.

Ah, this makes me smile. Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros released their new album Here the other day, and dear heavens it’s amazing. The video for “Man on Fire” just dropped and it’s the most joyous compilation of real-life New York City dancers of all ages, skill levels, colors, genders, genres. As one of the YouTube commenters wrote, “I could feel the smile slowly creeping up on my face until it was a full grin.” Me too, YouTube commenter. Allow this one to kick off a happy, relaxing, fun weekend, and definitely grab Here as soon as possible!

I’ve been following Aaron Wayne for some time now, he’s an up and comer we have featured multiple times here at The Kollection and he’s been cooking up some bombs as of late. This one is a remix he did for Archie, another Kollection favorite, of his track Leto which takes the progressive sound of the original track a little different route. Aaron utilizes pieces of the original beautifully to combine the styles that he and Archie bring to the table. The builds are pure progressive but when the drop hits, lets just say things change. If you have a subwoofer, turn it up, I’m foreseeing some fat basslines in its future…

Finally! I, and I’m guessing many others, have been patiently waiting for the inevitable: a collaboration track between the studly gents known as Adventure Club (Leighton and Christian) and the lovely ladies, along with another studly gent, of Krewella (Jahan, Yasmine, and Kris). With the constant support that they’ve shown each other via Facebook and Twitter, the groundwork was laid for a collaborative project. More importantly, the individual musical stylings of Adventure Club and Krewella sounded so complementary that fans of both were clamoring for that one day in which a joint track would be dropped. Thus, the dubtastic creation of “Rise & Fall” was given to the masses. Finally.

The track opens with some slight glitching of the lead vocals provided by Jahan and Yasmine, that lulls you into a nostalgic state for Krewella’s “Killin’ It”. Of course, this is just the calm before the storm. And holy hell, what a glorious storm it is. Right around the 1:45 mark, Adventure Club rains down on our ears those lovely melodic wobbles that have made them instantly recognizable. Granted this track seems to be a tad heavier than AC’s recent “Wait”, but the beautiful vocals of Krewella serves as a nice balancing aspect. So Kollect this epic collaboration between Adventure Club and Krewella above, and I’ll keep on preparing for my future Spring Awakening Music Festival interview with Krewella – check scheduled set here.

What an interesting time I’ve had with this track. It was first premiered here on The Kollection last October, only to be quickly taken down for release-date reasons. Here we are, halfway through 2012 and I have the pleasure of premiering this track to the world (again)! Ravi’s production skills have come so far in the last year, but this remix still stands out to me as one of his more melodic and infectious tunes. Nothing crazy, nothing out there, just a beautiful pop remix from Sex Ray Vision.

Rising Chicago dubstep producer, LoBounce, entertains the idea of a highly rock-influenced electro-house production strategy when challenging Rhianna’s “Where Have You Been” single, ubiquitous among airwaves everywhere since November. It’s packed with energetic riffs, pounding low-synths and a constant energy that thrives with unyielding strength. Considering LoBounce created one of my favorite dubstep remixes of all time, I have high expectations for anything attached to his name. This is an admittingly different sound (one that didn’t originally spark my love affair with “LoB”), but it delivers an edgier version of a hit – which I might even prefer over the original. With just an EP and a few singles here and there, Beat Connection has been making us antsy for a few years now. But great news! It’s almost finally time for their debut full-length Palace Garden to drop on July 30th, and they’ve released the lead single from the record to keep us on our toes. “The Palace Garden, 4AM” is Beat Connection in a nutshell: infectious and energizing with an overall fun & carefree vibe. I saw these guys at SXSW this year, and while I am admittedly no Beyonce with my moves, these guys had me dancing in an ultra-sweaty kind of way. Catch Beat Connection on tour and look out for the album later this summer!

Give me the Childish portion of this song by itself and I’ll be happy. Hate all you want, but I just wasn’t impressed with Beck’s portion. This instrumental is amazing, the beat is captivating, and I think it would do well as a solo track. My two cents, take a listen, download for free, and let me know what you think!

I’m sure you have heard this track in a mix or two from Avicii but now he has given it to his fans for free as a gift for reaching 2 million facebook fans. This one is darker, not that “Avicii sound” everyone seems to be emulating these days, and I have to say it’s a breath of fresh air. Grab it and enjoy!
