The almond tree

I had some time to visit the almond-trees in Uchoba (South of Tenerife) during last spring. This is not a well known location for tourists, but the flowered almond-trees turn this country into an unforgettable landscape this time of the year.

La pasada primavera, tuve algo de tiempo para visitar los almentros en Uchoba, en el sur de Tenerife. No se trata de un lugar conocido para los turistas, pero los almendros en flor convierten estos campos en un paisaje inolvidable durante esta época del año.

A sea of clouds

When you drive in Tenerife along a few kilometres, you can ascend over the clouds. I had the opportunity to take this picture from the top of “Montaña de Las Lajas” (2150 m height) a few months ago, near to the national park of “El Teide”. The textures of the clouds just after the sunset were simply impressive. The clouds covered a big portion of the island and, from that point of view, looked like a sea with huge waves breaking over the trees. The mountain that you can see on the background is another island: La Gomera.

Tenerife es una isla donde, apenas te mueves algunos kilómetros, asciendes por encima de la capa de nubes que se observa desde la costa. Hace unos meses, tuve la oportunidad de tomar esta fotografía, desde lo alto de la Montaña de Las Lajas, a unos 2150 m de altura, cerca del Parque Nacional del Teide. Las texturas justo después de la puesta del sol eran sencillamente impresionantes. Se asemejaban a un mar con grandes olas rompiendo sobre los árboles.
