Mario & Courtney at Simon G. Soiree at TAO Las Vegas

Simon G. Jewelry celebrated style and design with their annual Simon G. Soiree at TAO Las Vegas in The Venetian on Saturday, June 1st 2013. Newlyweds Katrina Bowden and Ben Jorgenson were joined by Paula Abdul, Jenny McCarthy, Mario & Courtney Lopez, Gilles and Carole Marini, Audrina Patridge, Catt Sadler, Holly Madison, Lala Anthony, Peta Murgatroyd and more.

The night of festivities kicked off with comedian and host Dannon Green taking the stage to welcome the guests while acrobats entertained the crowd. Celebrities were all seen wearing their favorite Simon G. Jewelry to the event. Audrina and Katrina were spotted showing off their jewels and trying on each other’s diamonds.

Peta Murgatroyd (wearing David’s Bridal) was spotted sipping the crowd’s favorite Lychee Martini while making her way to the VIP lounge.

Guests at the Simon G. Soiree enjoyed delicious cocktails throughout the night such as The 58th Street Manhattan, which is made with Collingwood, a unique Canadian whiskey, and named after TAO’s original location in Manhattan on 58th Street. Another popular favorite of the night was The Angry Mule, which is a twist on the conventional cocktail made with the Kentucky favorite bourbon, Woodford Reserve, and the 100% Agave premium Herradura tequila, for a unique flavor combination.

Performance painter David Garibaldi captivated the crowd by creating live paintings on stage including a portrait of creator and founder of Simon G., Simon Ghanimian, Frank Sinatra, and Elvis Pressley.

The evening concluded with a celebratory finale as Village People performed their classic hit Y.M.C.A and celebrities and VIP guests were showered with confetti.

My Aunt Juanita died from breast cancer when I was pretty young, about 20 years ago. Back then the awareness and support was not as widespread as it is today. About 5 years ago my friend Mindy was diagnosed with  breast cancer. She had caught it very early and won her battle.  I have another friend who is in Australia, that I met through internet marketing who also won her battle, Donna Hammer.  These three women to me are fierce Warriors.

When listening to Ford Model of Courage Tina Herold speak at Bloggy Boot Camp Vegas, it was difficult to not run up to her and just want to hug her.  Tina spoke very passionately and answered all of our questions.   Her stories tugged at my heart strings.  Stories of persistence, she knew something was wrong and kept pushing for answers.  How happy she was to send her daughter off to kindergarten when all the other moms where sad, because she wasn’t expected  to be there, alive and breathing.  How she was moved to start a Wig boutique in support of other women with breast cancer. How she had recently fitted a young bride who was going to die but wanted to get married before.   Tina instantly became a model of courage to me, and enlightened me to the courage my Aunt Juanita had, and my friends Mindy and Donna have.

Recently, when I picked up my daughter from school, and we where walking to the crossing guard there where 2 boys I’d say 4th and 5th graders.  They had on pink socks and a few of the kids where starting to heckle them.  These sweet audacious boys didn’t care not one bit.  When Dallice, Jada, and Hunter got to them, Dave (Jada and Hunter’s dad) asked them if they knew why they where wearing pink socks.  The boys answered prowdly:  ”Yes in support of breast cancer awareness.”   You see fierce Warriors in Pink come in all sizes and ages.  No one is to young to show fierce love and courage in support of those who are in the process of fighting or have conquered breast cancer.  These warriors are someone’s father, mother, daughter, son, sister, and brother.

This weekend I attended #BloggyBootCamp here in Vegas and since I have multiple personalities I chose to go as @theeleanorprior. However, I wanted to give a quick recap via The Las Vegas Tweetup. Friday night was so much fun, #Mirassou Winery hosted a private dinner for about ten of us bloggers who love wine!

It was just beautiful!  The dinner was held at The Foundation Room at the Mandalay Bay Hotel.  The view of the strip was beyond fabulous.

I am a total Thirsty Girl!  I love my wine there is no disputing it! So when @beathirstygirl sends me an email for a #TGTaste I’m all over it!

From the time Kimberly @jkvirtualofficeconfirms my participation till the UPS driver delivers my box of joy!  I’m like a kid in a candy store!  I can’t wait to see what the bottles are going to look like (these bottles are exceptionally beautiful).  Take my picture to share on Instagram, and pin to Pinterest. Then make my thank you video for my wine.  Getting wine as a gift to me is like receiving a dozen roses.

Now my hubby has his eyes on the HandCraft Pinot Noir.  Let me tease you a bit with some of the tasting notes.

Gorgeous cherry, vanilla and strawberry aromas are followed by ripe black cherry, sweet spice, vanilla and chocolate flavors..
