NOKIA announced two great feature phones recently and now, The Asha 311 has joined the duo of Asha 305 and 306.

What! That processor runs at 1GHz speed?? For feature phones like this, the processor is wonderful! Good for gaming, browsing the internet amongst others.

Dolphin Browser is a very very very smooth browser I've ever seen and used on Android 2.0.1+ devices. It's smartness and elegance is one of the unbeatables.

Now, Dolphin browser has been updated to version 8.8 and I'll run through few of it's new features for you.
First, Dolphin Browser 8.8 has a feature called Sonar that listens and somehow let's you use your voice to search the internet. Smartness at it's peak!
Also, there's Gesture feature which works like scrybe on a computer; It allows you to draw a pre-defined or custom symbol that will automatically open favourite websites and blogs you assign for it...

So iPhone 5 was released yesterday but I wasn't impressed, neither was I disappointed - A friend said this. I agree!

Now, out of all specs and amazing features of Apple iPhone 5, I'm only delighted to write about the new YouTube App.
CNet's review of the App simply said the new youtube app for iPhones

is better than the original one...
This is the app to have for YouTube fans.

Well, let's see!
When you launch the app, a homefeed will be displayed where you have what's trending at the moment- Beautiful home display

The search bar also come with predictive text or you use your voice to search for a video- Amazing!

A slide-out menu shows your account settings link and also check out other video categories- Sleek

On portrait mode, when viewing a video, you can give the video a thumbs up or down, subscribe to the channel and do other things.

I never mentioned leaving a comment on youtube videos with this app; It's unclear yet... If it turns out that this function isn't available, then such a great app sucks!
Though it's not a necessary function but don't you think it's still needed?

Samsung fell into deep shit right in the hands of no one else but Apple who is currently the uttermost mobile giant - Says Techies
I felt much pity for Samsung being a sincere fan eversince it has dominated the world of Android devices.
Obviously, I would go for a Samsung device over an Apple device but let's talk about reality;

Samsung was charged for violating a patent law. Hell! Don't you think they deserve it?
I praise Samsung for creating quite a number of devices that meetup my demands but why ain't they extremely innovative?
Take a look at the image below:

That's iPhone 4S with Samsung Galaxy S3. Can you spot much differences? I guess it's just the size...
My friends say: "Most of all these new phones are a pasted work of one other manufacturer" who either does not have to time to enforce patent law or is keeping silence for the future.
Wise Apple took it up against Samsung or Samsung might take over in the nearest present (future is an understatement). Yes! I agree. The early Galaxies look much like the iPhones which has a single button below the screen (round-like) and then the dimensions in shape are far too similar to the iPhones...
Although, No one has ever come to me to say he or she mistakenly bought a Samsung Galaxy instead of an iPhone. Absolutely none!
So why would Apple take this case so high? Is jealousy getting into this business?
No matter what, Samsung needs to stop innovating others' innovation!

Airtel restricts users from using Opera Mini; Why?

Hello World! I noticed since Friday the 31st of August, 2012 that Airtel Nigeria has restricted it's users from accessing the internet using opera mini browser.
Hey! I wasn't told; I'm currently experiencing it...
But why?
Quite a good percentage of Nigerians use more of opera mini to browse the internet. It's unfair!
It really affected me I must say;
There are no official reasons for this and the last time I called the customer care service, I got a solution. They were having system upgrades and their lines ain't going through. Solution Indeed!
In the meantime, you can use UC browser as an alternative.

How to switch Blogger profile to Google+ profile with a mobile phone

Hello Blogger Users! For those who use the new blogger interface, you would have one way or the other seen a link to switch your blogger user profile to Google+ account. Haven't switched yet?
It's obvious that most bloggers who still use the old blogger interface are stuck to it simply because of the mobile-friendly view. The new interface lacks that feature as of now!
Before I go into the switching steps, it'd be good for you to know why you should switch your profile to that of Google+

Don't have a Google+ account? Visit plus.google.com now and register using your Google account.

Why should I switch to my Google+ profile?
For your Information, Blogger will be removing the old interface in coming months and current users will definitely miss it so it's better you begin to work-around the new interface.
After switching your profile to Google+ profile, you get to share any of your posts right from your posts manager to Google+ with a single click (Only to those using the new blogger interface).
Also, you can leave/reply comments on your blogposts directly from your Google+ notifications and it'll be linked directly to your Google+ profile;
I like to say this as part of the unique features of switch to a Google+ profile- You profile picture on Google+ shows directly beside your blogposts on google search results alongside your Name.
Pretty nice huh?

Now, visit http://www.blogger.com/switch-profile.g incase you're on mobile and can't access the new interface.
Read and Agree to the Policies by checking the dedicated box for that and click on continue.
Depending on your internet speed, all switching process should be done in few seconds.
Please note that data and information stored into your blogger profile will not be transferred to the new profile (Google+).

Pros and Cons of flashing your Symbian device into a custom firmware

Ever seen someone's symbian device same as yours with a different and more powerful user-interface than yours. Huh? Am I blabbing?
No! flashing your symbian phone with a custom firmware (CFW) is like installing a new software to your device packed with new and amazing features.

This is different from updating your phone's firmware. It is in some ways but in this case, you are not installing the official firmware from your phone's brand but that of third parties (Mobile Phone Hackers and Co).
Honestly, I'd say CFW is more great to use and fun to wok with; Other than official firmwares.
Getiing it straight...

PROS:

You get a whole new symbian phone experience depending on the brand you use
Your phone comes with a dynamic user interface integrated by the modder/CFW creator
New tools and utilities for office work and mobile playground i.e the CFW can come with apps like Free PDF reader, 3D photo-browser, zip manager and likes
Certificate Error Killed: Most modders include hacking tools to fix and conquer certificate error displayed during installation of some unsigned apps. Not all apps on the internet are signed and without hacking or installing a CFW, you can't ever install these apps on your symbian device.
Improved RAM allowance: On startup, you get to have bigger RAM size available for you to run apps and programs
Updated Apps and Programs: Default apps and programs natively installed into your phone's default firmware will be updated e.g Your Nokia Browser (On Nokia Phones) will be a latest one and believe me, There's tons of apps that's gonna recieve updates via the CFW
A better UI: The modded versions of firmwares present a better User Interface as compared to native/default firmwares. Like editable home screen icons amongst others. Also, your phone can run user interface like that of bigger Symbian Devices you are hoping to have.

New Symbols: Your CFW may come with some blackberry symbols or powerful and hardly discovered symbols like that of Facebook, Pepsi, Nickelodeon.... (I have them currently on my Symbian device)

Wish to have those features on your phone? Don't get too carried away; Everything that has an advantage has a...... :-) CONS:

Ab slight error while Flashing could crash your phone
Flashing with a lower version of firmware to the native one could brick your phone (DOWNGRADING)
Most Apps installed by default will be no where to be found; You have to install them manually. An instance was when I flashed my Symbian device into a CFW and I had to install an app (YouTube Downloader) which requires QT to run; I had it on my previous and native firmware but after flashing, all were gone so I went searching for QT app all over the internet gulping about 200mb of data on my phone without finding the one that works effectively on my phone. It made me regret ever flashing my phone.
PS: I'm still happy I did
Your phone isn't the same like you bought it new again because you have customised it and no assurance for a Warranty anymore.

Recently launched photo-sharing social network (Pinterest) has today ended it's invite-only regim for new users and now open to anyone who is interested to becoming a pinterest user.
The sign-up process doesn't take long (depending on your internet speed though); Facebook and Twitter logins are also accepted.

How to place Ad Dynamo Mobile ads on blogger's mobile templates

Apparently, there's no mobile platform for blogger blogs that allows you integrate ads for your mobile visitors expect very few third party sites but they still limit your ad placements in one way or the other.
Moreso, it's no news anymore that Ad Dynamo is growing so fast and getting more recognised as the days go by.
If you have ads running on your blogger blog which are currently displaying on desktop view as a gadget but in one way or the other, you couldn't integrate Ad Dynamo ads to your blog's mobile view as blogger's default mobile view does not support adding gadgets except you're using the custom mobile view which is not so preferred by most blogger users.

How do I get my Ad Dynamo Mobile Ads code?

First, you need to login to your Ad Dynamo account, click on Channels and then select Mobile on the tiled tabs on top of the page.
Click on Create New Channel on the page that loads up (Make sure you're on the Mobile Channels Tab and not Web) and then set up your mobile ads the way you want it to display.
After setting up your mobile ads, grab the code by clicking on the settings icon infront of the Channel's Name; Copy and Paste the code displayed into your notepad (The script version preferrably).

Now, To make Ad Dynamo ads display on your mobile template, follow the instructions below carefully and closely [Based on Blogger's Old Interface].

Login to your blogger dashboard dashboard, go to settings and then wait for the page to load.
Click on formatting on the tabbed links as shown below:
Scroll down to where you have 'Post Template' and paste your code into the text box infront of it.
Save your Settings and go to Compose Post page to see the changes

The effect of that Post Template is to leave a custom message or html codes on your compose post template. It now depends on where you type your post (Before or After the Post Template codes); You'll always see these codes whenever you want to type a new post and this will automatically show whatever the codes are interpreting on your mobile view as it would be taken as part of your typed post.
This was how I was able to display Ad Dynamo mobile ads for my mobile readers right on blogger platform; without a third party service!
You can also use other ad codes that is supported by blogger by following the given steps above.

Can't switch your Ad Dynamo account to a Naira account? [SOLUTION]

Ad Dynamo is growing rapidly! Advertisers and Publishers are beginning to notice this Ads Program. In fact, I was using Ad Dynamo for a while but I stopped when I made changes to this blog. I'm bringing it back very soon because it is a good and recognised income measure for bloggers and site owners.

Moving on... I registered with Ad Dynamo months back when the option to use bank transfer was not available so I decided to choose Ad Dynamo debit card but I didn't applied for it yet until I discovered we can now be paid by bank transfer in Nigeria. I tried all means to switch my payment method to Bank Transfer but it was foiled. I then mailed the admin via (allan@addynamo.com) stating my problem then I got this reply:

Hi Olayinka,

In order to change your account to Naira, you will need to register a new account and select Naira, unfortunately I am unable to do this as once you have created this account the currency selected cannot change once saved. Please create a new account, select Naira as your currency, and we can transfer your earnings to your new account once done.

So I went ahead to create a new account.

Is this your story? Do the same i.e Also create a new Ad Dynamo account using the following steps:

Visit Addynamo.com
Click on Become a Publisher button; Wait for the page to fully load/
Check the current country selected and make sure It's Nigeria as shown below:

Now, Click on the Sign Up Now button.
After then, Enter your Personal Details with a valid e-mail address
Continue the registration till you get to Payment Options tab. Select Bank Transfer and then click on contiue button below the form.
Thereafter, Enter your Bank Account details with your Bank's sort code. Don't know your Bank's sort code? Simply call your Account manager to give you that.
NOTE: Sort Codes are unique six digit numbers used to identify a Bank's branch.
Click on complete registration and then you're done!

The Assumed iPad Mini?

It's been long rumoured that Apple is set to release an iPad Mini. Currently, we still don't when it wil be released but a picture of this device (Not yet Confirmed) was spotted on a Chinese microblogging site as you can see above.
That was all we could get! The rear view only...
If you look closely, the purported Apple iPad Mini has
no hole for camera but could this really be true? Usually, you are not expected to go around taking photographs with a tablet as wide as that and ooops! I didn't mention:

It was claimed that the Apple iPad Mini will be a 7.85-inch tablet

Apple is full of surprises so that might change unawared.
These pictures may not be authentic but might just be something you can have in mind for the unseen iPad Mini.

How to align post images to the center on blogger

If you're a fan of edit html tab on blogger's post composer/editor, you would find it difficult to align your in-post images to the left or right as the case may be.
This is not really a problem if you have studied blogger codings well.
You can also align your images using the live compose mode by clicking on the image you want to align then a list of options will be tiled out for you.
Don't get carried away! Let's get back to work.

After uploading your image, copy the url to your notepad or somewhere you can easily recover it from;
copy and paste the codes below to wherever you want to have that image to be.

REPLACE IMAGE URL WITH THE URL YOU COPIED BEGINNING WITH http://

Hi, I got you an interesting app that allows you to read your favourite e-books, e-novels, e-magazines which are in epub format right on your symbian device.
Mostly, this book format is available and suitable on Android devices, Amazon Kindle, iPhones, iPads and likes; It's another book format that gives you an enjoyable reading experience.
Thanks to developers who brought heads together and created epub readers for Symbian devices.
In my search for epub book reader for symbian devices, I got this app pointing to that which you'd definitely like.
Still curious? The app is called Bubue Reader! I must say, you get a styled reading mode by swiping pages of the book from left to right and vice versa.

Twitter or BBM; Which is more addictive

I was on Twitter yesterday when a very good friend of mine (@JesseOguns ) tweeted a very interactive question which I'd throw to you soon in this post.
He said:

Which is more Addictive;BBM or Twitter?

However, I didn't reply that question simply because I haven't been a user of Blackberry Messenger so I can't really say. To avoid partialty, I kept my fingers crossed as I watched other peolple's replies.
Honestly, I would give it to twitter because it is not limited to a particular set of people unlike the BBM for Blackberry Users only thereby giving you a wider audience to whatever you have on your mind.
