Yes, finally bin Laden was captured and killed. I can believe that part of the story….

The rest however, is something else.

First, a couple statements:

Up to now, almost or all, captures of bonafide Al Qaeda elements were the result of Pakistani intelligence “deliveries” or arrests. The rest of the miscreants were wanna be’s or a result of circumstance.

Fighting in Iraq or Afghanistan or anywhere else “so we don’t fight them here” is misleading because, the only reason those circumstantial miscreants are able to fight U.S. military assets is because of the fact WE are there!

Most of those foreign fighters could barely cross the Suez or Black Sea or Red Sea, forget the Atlantic. They are merely serfs with not much else to do.

Those conflicts did nothing to bring bonafide terrorist suspects to justice. The U.S. got anything of worth only when Pakistani ISI felt like giving it up.

Another thing. Those that were given up of alleged Al Qaeda members were typically not of the Pakistani type. Usually those that drifted in from surrounding territories Uzbek or wherever, are the ones that were arrested and handed over to the U.S.

The rest was incompetence. The behemoth surveillance system erected by Bush and in de facto supported by Obama, has delivered little if any value to fight terrorism. If you consider all of the contemporaneous laws or Acts that have been passed over that time it is a system well suited to govern and suppress a populace.

In reality, 9-11 was a one time shot. Never to be repeated. Sure, there have been copy cats and other idiots that woke up one day since and decided to call themselves Al Qaeda fly on a plane and attempt to light their shoes or underwear on fire or whatever else. Total incompetence.

The U.S. could have done nothing else but focus on improving just a percentage point on the current intelligence agencies capacities and that would have potentially yielded more value then what exists today in terms of a so called war on terror.

The real deal was that Pakistani ISI decided to turn over bin Laden. The U.S. orchestrated with the assistance of the ISI the kill or capture mission. Hours before the mission ISI and military elements instructed the surrounding neighbors of the compound to stay indoors, turn off lights or manufactured a black-out of the area.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani military secured the area and was standing by to support the Universal Soldiers of the fantastic Six. As they accidentally crash landed one chopper, the remaining members stormed the compound killed a couple bin Laden family members and hopped in the remaining good chopper. While the other Seal Team 6 members were whisked away, since not enough chopper room to fly away on, to arrange alternative transportation by the Pakistani military and rejoin their cohort back at HQ.

U.S. gets sole credit because for Pakistan to officially take credit would topple the government. The U.S. gets to boast about covertly taking down Geronimo while the Pakistani officials can play dumb, request a reduction in U.S. troop presence as a result, and continue receiving their kickbacks from the U.S.

The U.S. gets an injection of very much needed pseudo-confidence straight into its prefontal cortex to induce a retrograde amnesiatic state for the last 10 years.

I’m not buying any version of the “official” story. The Bush supporters praise the monstrosity that the government constructed by way of DHS, CIA, FBI, NSA, ATF, DEA, DIA, NRO, NIMA, AFI, AI, NI, MCIA …Patriot Act, BSA and other civil liberty stealing statutes. The Obama administration will get some praise for its continuity of Bush policies while stealing the lion share of credit with one very simple passage in his 11:30 broadcast interruption speech. When he said,

And so shortly after taking office, I directed Leon Panetta, the director of the CIA, to make the killing or capture of bin Laden the top priority of our war against al Qaeda

No one seems as yet to have picked up on that. It will come out as the campaign heats up. But nevertheless, as thankful as everyone is including myself that bin Laden is gone, like Bush the 1st, he will lose his re-election bid.

The election is about money and jobs. Foreign diplomatic endeavors are for the history books.

She’s actually been on the outs with most people I think. [ yahoo ]

Palin does not have the political “legs” for a sustainable career at this. She may not even be too stupid to realize that she can’t go on much longer in the “legitimate” political arena. And is therefore capitalizing or profiting as much as possible until the music stops.

I predict her political career will end soon like that of a boy band. At first, they are most popular, world tours, and plenty of money while commanding top billing. Ultimately, near the end of it, as concert promotions or in her case speaking fees trend downward until finally only able to garner enough support to make an appearance at Knott’s Berry Farm….

The defector who convinced the White House that Iraq had a secret biological weapons programme has admitted for the first time that he lied about his story, then watched in shock as it was used to justify the war.

Not too many people care anymore about this. This story will die along with the soldiers who lost everything in part because of it.

But let us be clear, no one was fooled. The intel proved this guy was lying. The governments knew it. They wanted a war and this man’s lies allowed for some suspension of disbelief. So that government officials can point to some specious claims to help galvanize enough of the public.

This story should not die. Some will continue to speak of this atrocity and the deception it required.

I had a problem with the Saddam regime,” he said. “I wanted to get rid of him and now I had this chance.

The infamous Curveball continues:

I tell you something when I hear anybody – not just in Iraq but in any war – [is] killed, I am very sad. But give me another solution. Can you give me another solution?

Sure, look at Egypt today and other neighboring Muslim countries… There is another solution. While we don’t know the result yet, the result could be very well be worse, even after a war, it should be a dubious distinction for anyone to suggest that through war they will find peace.

Bush is gone but not forgotten. So when that day comes when the people of the U.S. should decide to demand the occupant of the White House to flee, that occupant will have George Bush to thank. For he is the one who did not have the courage to make the toughest decision, to faithfully execute the Office of President and use that power, not to go to war, but to avoid it as the surrounding minions prodded him with their own desires. It is this type of weak character we see in the human condition that languishes in their final hour. Knowing it is certain, that the end is near they decide to end their own life rather than face justice.

It is this character, incapable of exercising moral restraint with a lack of ethical bearing that welcomes the vice and misery W. knew for most of his life. It was ultimately through this degenerate familiarity he was able to find his own salvation, a new kind of grace unfamiliar to him since the status quo ante bellum.

He found his peace in war.

That shall be the W. legacy…

When it comes to freedom in the 21st century.

Americans should take notes. The people continue to live, eat, and work. No catastrophe occurred after deposing a tyrant.

Now we will witness who really supports freedom for what it is, just freedom. There is no reason to exercise caution or concern. Faking wisdom to suggest that people should beware of the chains of bondage that might only be traded for possibly something worse, when in fact the chances are typically something better.

To the naysayers I say nonsense.

We see some of the “conservatives” evince the Israel first policy rather than America or freedom first.

For example, the latest from Palin, is… well, it’s embarrasing as she pretends to “earn” foreign policy cred these days as she, makes her bid for a 2012 presidential run more obvious. If you don’t know already, this dumb lady will run, let me say it clearly. As Palin blasts Obama going for the 5 second sound bite technique, he may deserve to be blasted but nevertheless, not for what Palin claims but for his handling of Egypt:

Palin said the U.S. must find out who is “behind all the turmoil” and that “we should not stand” for a government led by the Muslim Brotherhood.

Referencing a 2008 campaign ad, Palin said Egypt was the White House’s “3 a.m. phone call” but it “went right to the answering machine.”

She says the U.S. must say whom it stands with, “and we do not have all that information yet.”

Maybe the U.S. government doesn’t have clear information about this yet, and if it did, does it matter? People need to get a clue that U.S. influence is declining and people are tired of U.S. intereference abroad.

In fact, as Wael Ghonim says it, “we don’t really need him” when asked if Obama’s statements during the revolution helped at all.

Dear Western governments. You have been supporting the regime that was oppressing us for 30 years. Please don’t get involved now. We don’t need you.’

Let’s leave the freedom in Egypt in Egyptians hands. If it’s another dictator so be it. If it is not then this is probably better.

No one knows better, not the Russians, not the French or Germans, not Armenians, and most of all, not Americans. Stay home, liberate yourselves before you preach to Egyptians or others about a concept you are too afraid to embrace.

And deaths of U.S. service members.

They did die in vain. As the truth leaks out over the next several years we will learn that the energy commission in 2000 forecasted a global decline in oil reserves. The most notable depletion was observed to occur in Saudi Arabia, long considered the devil we know. With that in mind and as Hussein was making commercial agreements with everyone but the U.S. the administration decided to strike first under the name of freedom when the opportunity presented itself.

As everyone knows now, as it was made clear even by the Obama administration with Rahm Emmanuel, no crisis should go to waste. This was the sentiment with 9-11 and the event that led to the opportunity needed.

That is the short version.

We only need to observe present day events to see this lie. The march to freedom was not instigated via invasion as it was pretended by the Iraq war and its ignorant supporters but now as we see it is something more visceral as we can see in Egypt, Tunisia, and Jordan.

In fact these events would have happened sooner if it were not for the U.S. invading Iraq and “buying” its support throughout the region. Muammar al-Gaddafi in Libya was paid by the U.S. This conduct was not interpreted correctly by Iraq supporters. As the U.S. expressed its awesome military might in Iraq, Libya advertised some logistical support for the U.S. which was equated with support for “freedom” when in fact financial support was provided to Colonel Gaddafi as a trade for his logistical support. Muammar al-Gaddafi was desperate for money to maintain his power, very similar to Mubarak in Egypt, as “radicals” threatened to undermine his authority.

These are the same type of radicals that are “threatening” Egypt now. Of course, all they want is freedom. Yes, Bush made truthful exclamations stating that all souls yearn to be free. But everything else he stated was nonsense.

So now we actually see freedom on the march across the middle east. But as the grip of dictatorial power wanes in those countries, as the U.S. is increasingly impotent as a result of the Iraq conflict, we are now warned again from the same corner of ignorance.

We hear warnings of a new 7th century style caliphate that can arise out this “chaos”. However, again, this was the warning Cheney echoed years ago circa 2005 that if we didn’t invade Iraq, that we risk a new Muslim caliphate.

So here we are again, with the U.S. being told it is at a crossroads. Tamper down the resistance, the freedom seekers, otherwise we risk this caliphate anyway.

Freedom can gain momentum in the middle east as long as the U.S. attends to its own affairs domestically and leaves these countries alone.

I see it as a new hope that someday the U.S. populace will arise at the nation’s capital as those in Egypt and demand the president to resign. Wouldn’t that be a sight?
