It was such a perfect day in Noosa – we arrived to beautiful blue winter skies. We took a stroll around the main street & visited the Peter Lik Gallery which I absolutely love. If you are unfamiliar with Peter Lik’s photography click here to check it out.

We had a bite to eat & walked along Park Road to view the beach through all the trees. Below are some of the photographs I took with my Galaxy Note. Enjoy!

Fantail Drawing

I sat down tonight & felt like drawing in front of the TV. I decided to try a Fantail in a more doodle style then my latest drawings. I love this little bird & I am happy with how it turned out.

Mooloolaba Sunshine Coast

In the weekend myself & my partner went to the Sunshine Coast to relax, see new sights, take some photos & just get away from it all. We booked 1 night in a very lovely Noosa Resort & left at 8am on Saturday morning.

We visited Mooloolaba on the way to Noosa which is a beautiful beach side town in the Sunshine Coast. We didn’t stay for long, but here are a few photos from while we were there. How beautiful are the blue winter skies?!!!

Red Floral Fantail Drawing

Mum has been asking me for a while to draw a Fantail with red flowers. Over the last few days I have been working on this piece for her. I finished this artwork last night but I am still not 100% happy with it. I figured I can share the progress with you all as I go along.

Peach Roses

These Roses are basically the last of the flowers at the Benowa Botanic Gardens. I am not to familiar with gardening & the right seasons for different flowers but I am guessing Roses can withstand the colder Winter months? Here are a few shots below of a peach Rose covered in raindrops.

Playing with Raindrops

I took these photographs after the rain at the Benowa Botanic Gardens. There were raindrops everywhere & the droplets on these leaves caught my eye. None of my photos really worked – I struggled to get both the raindrops & the leaves in focus. I really love the strong colours & the compositions in these shots though.

Last weekend I received a hard copy of their look-book in the post. I was delighted to see my drawings throughout.

Little Yellow Flowers

I went back to the Benowa Botanical Gardens the weekend after it rained to find majority of the flowers had gone. It was the 1st day of Winter here in Australia on Saturday & the gardens are becoming so bare. These Little Yellow Flowers must thrive in the colder months as other then the Roses in the Rose garden this was it! I have had such a busy May – so many events, I feel like things have been very quiet around here. I am ready to start June motivated & ready to continue on with my Bird drawings.
