Hey there!! I’m Nic, born and raised in Baltimore, MD, but now residing in Columbia, MD. My blog, Nic’s Picks is a way of expressing my fashion sense, as well as letting my readers get a peek into my everyday life.

As an avid thrifter, I LOVE thrifting and finding unique and different items. I am addicted to accessories, blazers and cluthces. I would say my style is clean and a classic, with a twist. Most of my statement or WOW factors come from my accessories or one unique article of clothing like a blazer or a pair of shoes. I am learning and beginning to embrace color, without being cliche. My day to day life doesn’t always allow me to wear high heels or pumps but when I can dress up and throw on a pair, I LOVE it! It makes me feel even more fabulous!

Being a blogger has really helped me try new things and find out more about my style. I am happy with my fashion choices, and happy to say that I don’t look like everyone else. See by Chloé Poya Scalloped Handbag Look For Less

I am obsessed with all things Chloé and the Poya Handbag is no exception. The scalloped handbag is from Chloe’s more affordable line, See by Chloé, however the $395 price tag is still out of my budget.

Luckily, Handbag Heaven has an amazing alternative, the Lilly Mini Shoulder Bag available in berry pink and jade green, for only $42.46. I LOVE the bow detail on the shoulder strap. It’s so fun and unexpected.

Fixing my hair is by far the most time-consuming task of my morning! I envy my friends that wash-and-go as they let their beautiful straight hair air-dry. For me, that will never happen! I have curly hair, but not pretty curls. My hair is all over the place with inconsistent waves in the front and is mostly straight in the back lol. Have any of you tried Sole Society yet? I haven’t, but I am very tempted with their March Showroom. Their colorful selection is oh-so-Springy and I can hardly resist any longer. I am in love with the Doria – the orange is amazing, but they also have an ivory pair with a gold metallic platform and heel! If you’ve tried out Sole Society, I’ve love to hear your thoughts!

LC by Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s

Do you all remember when Lauren Conrad’s collection first hit Kohl’s a few years ago? I love the way LC dresses, so I literally ran to my local store to check it out and I was so disappointed. All I remember is a black blazer and a few tops that didn’t look like anything she would wear. Well, LC’s collections have come a long way since then. Not only have I liked several pieces of her past few collections, but the collections offer so much more to choose from and it all looks like pieces Lauren would wear.

I’m going to my good friend’s baby shower this weekend and I’ll definitely be wearing an LC for Kohl’s dress. My only dilemma is which one! Any suggestions? I actually like the dark pink hi-low skirt and blouse combo. Shower appropriate, yet versatile enough to wear for other occasions.
