<p>Now I am writing you today because I want to share with you both an ALTERNATIVE to, and a COMPLEMENT for The Master Cleanse.</p>
<p>I call it&#8230;</p>
<p>The Super F.A.S.T. Method<br />
This is a bit of a longer email so grab a lemonade, or coffee or tea and settle in. I will convert this to a blog post and video a little later too.</p>
<p>First let me just say.</p>
<p>I am back.</p>
<p>Back writing to you regularly.</p>
<p>I am back now because, over the last 5 years a lot of life changes have happened.</p>
<p>At last count I had 9 of the Top 11 Most Stressful Life Events over the last 5 years.</p>
<p>As I write this now, I am NOT doing the Ease-In, largely because I am on the road visiting with my Palliative Father, who has leukaemia. I am on my own. I slept in my wife&#8217;s van last night because the whole house is full of family and friends having their last visits with my Father. My wife and daughter are in Europe visiting her side of the family after 3 years since my Mother&#8217;s passing.</p>
<p>I am NOT doing The Master Cleanse, because&#8230;</p>
<p>Cleansing is Challenge.</p>
<p>FASTing is a major Challenge.</p>
<p>Which is why 12 years ago, when I first built TheMasterCleanse.org I did it to be supported by the global community, and to provide support to that community.</p>
<p>Now, Cleansing and Fasting is even more of a challenge when:</p>
<p>On the Road (Out of Routine –we&#8217;ll talk a lot about routines and how to master cleansing on the road.)<br />
Under Stress (Any of the top 12 Life Stories / Stresses –more later)<br />
Suffering Health Issues (Any of the Top 12 Health Issues –and how Cleansing can help– more later)<br />
I am currently facing all 3.</p>
<p>I mentioned I am on the road, and a bit of the stress I am under (if you only knew the whole stories (plural).</p>
<p>I am also bogged down with 4 months of ear issues (effusion, or fluid behind the ear and tinnitus), as well as a chronic pain disorder that has developed over the last 5 years (and my whole life really).</p>
<p>Now, I know a lot of you can relate.</p>
<p>Which is why you might not be ready to do The Master Cleanse (but if you are or want to follow along join the group starting Monday).</p>
<p>This is why I AM NOT doing The Master Cleanse this Challenge.</p>
<p>BUT&#8230;</p>
<p>I am going to continue to do The Super F.A.S.T. Method that I have been developing since my first Master Cleanse in 2005.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s what we&#8217;ll cover in the rest of this post.</p>
<p>The Master Cleanse is a 3 Stack Super F.A.S.T.<br />
Quitting FASTs –Early, Quickly, Consistently and Safely<br />
Extending a Super FAST Method (Indefinitely?)<br />
The Master Cleanse is a 3 Stack Super F.A.S.T.<br />
Back in 2009 I coined the phrases Ease-In and Ease-Out (of The Lemonade Diet), as I sought to define the stages of The Master Cleanse.</p>
<p>I defined The Lemonade Diet (often used synonymously with The Master Cleanse) as the 10 Days of doing The Lemonade Diet (obviously).</p>
<p>The next 3 Days that followed where always part of The Master Cleanse, but I wanted to reference them easily, so I called them Ease-Out.</p>
<p>A lot of people asked about starting The Lemonade, the days before, and the preparation necessary so naturally The Ease-In concept emerged. The whole 3 stages became (to me), The Master Cleanse.</p>
<p>Since then I realized the Week Before The Master Cleanse and the Week After The Master Cleanse are also very critical (stay tuned for more).</p>
<p>That makes 5 Stages of the Greater Master Cleanse Experience, and thus the 30 Day Challenge was born (now called the 30 Day FAST 15 Master Cleanse Group Challenge –a working title ;)</p>
<p>Ok, and?&#8230;</p>
<p>Well The SUPER part of Super Fast comes from the idea of stacking protocols, like when I was a professional hockey player, when I was in the gym constantly working out.</p>
<p>We did SUPER Sets (short bursts of stacked exercises, or intervals) –also sometimes called HIIT or High Intensity Interval Training.</p>
<p>You might have also heard of Intermittent Fasting.</p>
<p>Now I don&#8217;t like that term because Intermittent is defined as:</p>
<p>&#8220;occurring at irregular intervals; not continuous or steady&#8221;</p>
<p>But all FASTs themselves, that make up the idea of IF (Intermittent Fasting) are not intermittent at all. They are regular routines.</p>
<p>The Lemonade Diet is very routine.</p>
<p>The Eat-Stop-Eat FAST is very routine (Eat one day, Fast the next, Eat the next).</p>
<p>Now&#8230;</p>
<p>Combine a few of these IF protocols, and now they can become Intermittent, depending on how long you do each one.</p>
<p>Stay with me, I am going to bring this home for you.</p>
<p>The Master Cleanse Group 30 Day Challenge is as follows:</p>
<p>The 7 Days (Week Before)<br />
The 3 Day Ease-In<br />
The 10 Day Lemonade Diet<br />
The 3 Day Ease Out<br />
The 7 Days (Week After)<br />
As a group that&#8217;s fairly intermittent.</p>
<p>As a whole, that is precisely a SUPER F.A.S.T.</p>
<p>You might have noticed the ACRONYM I use to write FAST.</p>
<p>It stands for:</p>
<p>Functional (For s specific purpose designed to derive a result)<br />
Addition (Adding or focusing on a certain food, substance, organ etc.)<br />
Subtraction (Subtracting or resting a certain food, substance, organ etc.)<br />
Therapies (The collection of protocols).<br />
So you can FAST FROM Sugar.</p>
<p>And you can FAST with WATER.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s funny, when I say to someone I am doing a 3 Day Water Fast, people say, WHAT??? You&#8217;re not drinking any water&#8230;</p>
<p>LOL.</p>
<p>No, I am ONLY taking in water.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a FAST focused and isolated on WATER as the Fasting Agent.</p>
<p>Fasting from SUGAR would be all things normally except I am NOT taking in any Sugar.</p>
<p>Makes sense, no?</p>
<p>The reason why I am NOT doing The Master Cleanse, but I am SUPER Fasting is because of the 3 Factors I noted above, which brings me to point 2 of this essay.</p>
<p>Quitting FASTs –Early, Quickly, Consistently and Safely<br />
One of the biggest commitments to The Master Cleanse, and the Lemonade Diet is that you must quit them well. You must Ease-Out.</p>
<p>I have seen my roommate and employee back in 2008 quit abruptly with a Burger King Veggie burger, which did not end (or come out) well.</p>
<p>Now that said, I quit very quickly once with raw broccoli, and wrongly once with lentil soup both with equally painful results.</p>
<p>The fact is, with any significant isolation FAST like a Water Fast or a Juice Fast like The Lemonade Diet you must prepare your system for more complex foods or risk a bit of backlash from your body.</p>
<p>SO&#8230;</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re going to quit early, it can feel daunting (which can be at good thing since it can motivate you to get past the obstacles in your Master Cleanse Journey). but it can also keep you from starting.</p>
<p>If you want to quit early you can ROLL into another FAST and Mindset, and just go on your merry way.</p>
<p>The key is knowledge and preparation, and it&#8217;s the hallmark of a Master Cleanser.</p>
<p>This is why I created MasterCleansing.com, the new parent site and company to TheMasterCleanse.org.</p>
<p>In order to Master Cleansing, you must change your mindset.</p>
<p>You have to look at quitting as &#8220;ROLLing with it&#8221; (and being kind to yourself).</p>
<p>You have to look at endings as new beginnings.</p>
<p>You have to look at Cleansing as a consistent, natural part of life.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s a few Cleanses you do regularly and don&#8217;t even know it:</p>
<p>The Hair Cleanse (Shampooing)<br />
The Tooth Cleanse (Brushing)<br />
The Clothing Cleanse (Laundry)<br />
The Stomach Cleanse (Pooping)<br />
The Anger Cleanse (Yelling)<br />
The Sadness Cleanse (Crying)<br />
The Partying Cleanse (Puking) LOL (I Mastered that in College)<br />
Now these are kinda playful and even obvious when you think about them. Aren&#8217;t they?</p>
<p>That&#8217;s because you&#8217;ve mastered them.</p>
<p>They&#8217;re even habits.</p>
<p>You don&#8217;t have to think about them.</p>
<p>MasterCleansing.com is built to established routines and habits that serve to cleanse your 12 Life Stories with monthly challenges and quarterly quests, fully supported by the community and expert coaches and mentors.</p>
<p>To ramble that back around to the point of this section&#8230;</p>
<p>&#8230;quitting well, and safely is important and so it should be thought of a transition.</p>
<p>And if done right, and with an eye for significant, Functional, Therapeutic reasons, which can dove-tail perfectly into the next phase of a SUPER F.A.S.T.</p>
<p>Extending The Super FAST Method (Indefinitely?)<br />
So now that you have the theory of the Super FAST, how can you extend it?</p>
<p>Let me tell you how I am doing my Super FAST, which should give you some ideas how to quit, extend, or start your Master Cleanse Experience (or craft your own Super FAST when you become a Master Cleanser).</p>
<p>My Super FAST is as follows:</p>
<p>1-3 Days 18:6 FAST<br />
1-3 Days Water FAST (Optional)<br />
1-3 Days SSSmart FAST<br />
1-3 Days SMILE Diet<br />
1-3 Days of the 18:6 FAST</p>
<p>This is a very simple protocol and probably the easiest way to get started doing IF (Intermittent Fasting).</p>
<p>You simply stop eating a few hours before bed, and don&#8217;t eat until after lunch.</p>
<p>So you fast for 18 hours a day. Your eating window is 6 hours long.</p>
<p>For example. Start eating at 2 PM, don&#8217;t eat anything after 8 PM.</p>
<p>Drink lots of water, herbal teas, and perhaps 1 cup of coffee in the AM or evening (no coffee in evening).</p>
<p>(More on the other FASTs you can Stack to follow)</p>
<p>1-3 Days of The Water FAT</p>
<p>This is pretty self explanatory.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a challenge to be sure, so if my week permits, I will do a 1-3 day water fast, but it will be optional. If I don&#8217;t do it, I will continue my 18:6.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s great for reducing inflammation, and that can help clear the fluid in my ears so I am trying to work that in. I haven&#8217;t done one since April a month after my ear problems started and it helped a lot. I am not sure I will be able to because my days are so hectic and unpredictable.</p>
<p>The key to Master Cleansing is to be kind to yourself and to be flexible and to have a plan and the support you need to ROLL through the waves when you&#8217;re not ready to drop in and get barrelled (sorry got carried away with a surfing metaphor).</p>
<p>1-3 Days of The SSSmart FAST</p>
<p>The SSSmart FAST is really fun and SSSassy.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s 3 SSS of course:</p>
<p>Soups<br />
Salads<br />
Smoothies (Juices)<br />
This is otherwise known as The Ease-In and Ease-Out methods.</p>
<p>As mentioned, when ending any significant fast, like a Juice Fast, or Water Fast, you must Ease-Out, and so as with the Lemonade Diet, I will Ease-Out of my previous FASTS by graduating from Juices, Smoothies, to Soups, then to Salads.</p>
<p>Since I am going to ROLL with my SUPER FAST, I will see how many days I was able to Water Fast, and adjust my SSSmart FAST accordingly.</p>
<p>1 Day SMILE Diet</p>
<p>I generally don&#8217;t like the term &#8220;Diet&#8221; as it relates to a protocol, but when it describes the menu of ingredients you can chose from it seems appropriate.</p>
<p>In this case, the SMILE diet is any foods that would make up the opposite of the SAD Diet or the Standard American Diet.</p>
<p>These foods should be healthy, and make you happy.</p>
<p>They should give you comfort, and not stress.</p>
<p>Eat what you want, but ask yourself what happiness and stress means to you.</p>
<p>This is a loaded question isn&#8217;t it.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re a stress eater and self-soothing through toxic food that&#8217;s designed to be addictive and to keep you sick, that can be a big problem.</p>
<p>If that&#8217;s the case, stick with our Master Cleansing community, and after a year you&#8217;ll have a whole new Mindset and set of tastes, and triggers that will naturally guide you to better choices.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s important to note that you can eat all the Spinach in the world but if you&#8217;re hating life and yourself it won&#8217;t do you any good.</p>
<p>Conversely&#8230;</p>
<p>You can eat all the Burger King in the world (and drink and smoke), but if your life is filled with JOY you can live a long healthy life.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a paradox (more on that later).</p>
<p>But it&#8217;s a provable one.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s science.</p>
<p>(Mind = Blown).</p>
<p>So, think about what makes you smile.</p>
<p>Sit down and enjoy your meal.</p>
<p>Be grateful for your meal.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s the SMILE diet.</p>
<p>(BTW I just made the SMILE Diet up today as I wrote this, cool hey).</p>
<p>&#8212;</p>
<p>Phew that was a lot.</p>

<p>People often get stuck focused on losing weight <strong>FAST</strong>. Weather someone is focused on <strong>FAST</strong> weight loss, or detox/cleansing, or even the greater goal of wellness are be their primary objective, the truth is, it doesn&#8217;t really matter. IF&#8230; And only IF&#8230; You engage in a complementary, wellness based approach to weight loss. Then it doesn&#8217;t really matter if you&#8217;re focused on the pounds, and the image in the mirror. Either way you&#8217;ll get the benefits that are available to you. These benefits are likely to emerge regardless of your primary desire to lose weight. However you should realize, by decentralizing the idea of the weight loss, you&#8217;ll free your mind to focus on other objectives on your course of wellness. What symptom, disorder, condition or disease are we aiming to treat and even cure? Those are the <strong>functional effects of fasting</strong>, and they are many. Below are just a few listed functions of fasting along with examples of the clinical studies indicating proof of their effectiveness for the specific functions. <li>What is the Protocol of the Fast</li>
</ul>
<p>Each of the studies we&#8217;ve researched always indicate the 2 functions. What will they try to accomplish, or test effectiveness for, and how will they go about doing it.</p>

<p>What&#8217;s more, it&#8217;s important to set your definition and understanding of what fasting is, because those old mindsets will pervade in the world at large around you who will say  things like &#8220;Isn&#8217;t fasting Starvation&#8221;? &#8220;Or, you&#8217;ll die if you don&#8217;t eat meat&#8221;. Seriously, the last one was said to my wife and I just a few days ago by her very traditional slovak parents who raise pigs, goats and chickens in their back-yard.</p>
<p>99% of all &#8220;Functional Fasts&#8221; will include food.</p>
<p>And many are actually more accurately described as calorie restriction.</p>
<p>The difference is one simply chooses to decline to gorge on calories as most people do each and every day, sending them into a state of disease that eventually brings them to research what Functions they must restore to bring back their wellness.</p>

<p>But either way, no matter how you got to your &#8220;Point&#8221;, you&#8217;ll eventually commit to a new course of action.</p>

<li><strong>Collect Your Resources:</strong> Books and Programs form your &#8220;mentors&#8221;, authors, speakers etc. of whom you admire and are perhaps providing the context of your process. Beyond information, gathering any equipment and even ingredients provides incentive to get started. Imagine the thought of letting $50 worth of foods (as medicine) rotting in the fridge to motivate you to get started.</li>
<li><strong>Choose a Time to Start</strong>: Yes as simple as that sounds it works. Plan your calendar. Slot in how much time you&#8217;ll need for this &#8220;Cycle&#8221; and ensure it will not be sabotaged before you get started by a forgotten prior commitment (weekend camping, or friends birthday party), or a surprise national holiday like Easter and Canadian Thanksgiving which change each year (If you can&#8217;t plan around Christmas and New Years you&#8217;ll need a better calendar ;)</li>
<li><strong>Get a Coach:</strong> 1 step further built upon the social support of your friends and family are coaches. Their paid to hold you accountable and provide information and encouragement.</li>
<li><strong>Be Accountable:</strong> Ask for accountability from any and all of these resources. Ask them to check in with you to see how you&#8217;re doing. If you&#8217;re doing this with non-professionals, take care to outline the parameters of their responsibilities. Tell them what you give them permission to do, like call you weekly or go all out and get them to demand action, getting all up in your face if you have a breakdown in your commitments to yourself and your intentions.</li>

<p>What&#8217;s the best way to do <em>anything</em>?</p>
<p>The BEST way is the <em>way</em> that you <em><strong>WILL</strong></em> utilize.</p>
<p>If you won&#8217;t <em><strong>actually</strong></em> do it, it doesn&#8217;t matter how effective it could be.</p>

<p>That&#8217;s why Designing and Customizing your Program, or Planning your Diet is perhaps the most critical influencer in your success and the one most teachers and &#8220;gurus&#8221; fail to recognize in the face of their own egos telling them that their plan is the only plan that can work for you.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s comical really. I mean think about it this way.</p>
<p>6/10 people in the world need glasses. Do you think they all have the same prescription? Of course not. Their prescriptions are &#8220;PRECISE&#8221;, perfectly customized to their physical needs.</p>
<p>6/10 people in the world also need to lose weight [<a href="http://www.gallup.com/poll/21859/close-americans-want-lose-weight.aspx">10</a>]. And we naturally know that there are many ways to do so. But, we think we have to follow 1 diet or another exactly as detailed or else we fail (which makes for a perfect setup for self-sabotage).</p>
<p>NOTE: There are aspects of any one Protocol that shouldn&#8217;t be customized, at least not if you don&#8217;t know exactly what you&#8217;re doing because they can cause imbalances etc. But certain aspects of a larger Program can be customized, to suit your very personal current reality and current objective.</p>
<p class="p1">Your Objective will set certain attributes for the type of &#8220;Program&#8221; you want to take towards your objective to <strong>Lose Weight Fast</strong> using a Juice Cleanse like The Master Cleanse. (if that&#8217;s your primary objective).</p>
<p class="p1">For example, if you want to quickly re-boot your immune system, perhaps after a period of over-eating, lack of sleep and exposure to toxins, such as after traveling for a week to a foreign country, then you’ll find the following parameters dictate a certain strategy or approach, which is commonly referred to as a diet but we&#8217;ll call your Customized Program.</p>
<p>There will always be some aspect of your program for which customization that is not only necessary, but often it&#8217;s actually required.</p>

Will you fast with juices or from sugars? Do you fast in the morning, once a week or for longer terms? How will you combine these various attributes into a Program?</p>
<p>These attributes can usually be summarized into a sentence to describe your Program, (Diet Plan) such as:</p>

<li class="li3"><span class="s1"><b>Mode</b></span> &#8211; What “foods” will you Fast With or Fast From (Inclusion Fast or Exclusion Fast).</li>
<li class="li3"><span class="s1"><b>Format</b></span> &#8211; How and When will you fast (Restrict / Expand) the Meals you eat during your Fasting Periods?</li>
<li class="li3"><span class="s1"><b>Periods</b></span> &#8211; What will each day look like? What will each Mode look like if you&#8217;re doing Interval Fasting.</li>
<li class="li3"><span class="s1"><b>Frequency</b></span> &#8211; How much time and what other protocols are you doing between Periods?</li>

<p>So there are many ways to &#8220;Fast&#8221; or Diet when you mix and match these Attributes.</p>

<p>The Type of Program you&#8217;ll chose, and/or customize starts with a few basic models. Whether they are Fasting Programs, or more typical Diet Plans they all have similar characteristics that define their most basic &#8220;Type&#8221;</p>

<p>There&#8217;s a current trending type of fasting referred to as &#8220;Intermittent&#8221; Fasting</p>
<p class="p1">High Intensity Interval Training</p>
<p class="p3">In truth, all Fasting is Intermittent Fasting or else it is another protocol called Calorie Restriction. Intermittent fasting might be accomplished by eating every other day, for example, while calorie restriction means eating every day, but eating less.</p>
<p class="p3">In fact the term itself is at odds with the definition of the word intermittent, which is “occurring at irregular intervals; not continuous or steady. However all Intermittent fasting protocols have a very predictable pattern like skipping breakfast, or not eating on Tuesdays.</p>

<p class="p3">I assume that what makes the fast Intermittent is the irregular intervals of the application of the protocol itself. For example, randomly deciding to do The Master Cleanse next week. Or perhaps combinations of protocols could become an Intermittent Fast, alternating randomly which protocol of fasting you would implement</p>

<li><strong>IF &#8211; Intermittent/Interval:</strong> Intermittent Duration &#8211; Intermittent Period / Window &#8211; (Alternating Stop/Start or Fast/Feast) &#8211; When it suit you. Randomly. Intermittent fasting is not a diet, it’s a <span class="s1">pattern</span> of eating. It’s a way of <span class="s1">scheduling</span> your meals so that you get the most out of them. <span class="s1">WHAT DEFINES INTERMITTENT IS THE CYCLES ??? </span>OR THE USAGE?Intermittent fasting doesn’t change what you eat, it changes when you eat. “occurring at irregular intervals; not continuous or steady”</li>
<li><strong>TF &#8211; Therapeutic Fasting:</strong> As part of a treatment of certain disease. This is the western form of fasting as medicine.</li>

Wake up, skip breakfast, drink lots of water, and resume eating as normal after lunch or 6 hours after waking. There are many reasons to choose various lengths of fasting, depending almost solely on your objective, but also considering how much time you have (obviously).</p>
<p>Often a Program will included many &#8220;Intervals&#8221; of different fasting Lengths such as The Master Cleanse that has 3 different Short Term (1-Day) Fasts at both before and after a Long Term (10 Day Fast).</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Short Term / Half Day &#8211; Full Day Fasting:</strong> Great for quick reboots, and perfect for combining into intermittent fasts. Effective and still pretty easy. No need for special considerations when ending a 1 day fast but has some of the more pervasive benefits of</li>
<li><strong>Prolonged Fasting / 2 and 3 Day Fasting:</strong> Common duration of fasts in many studies that show tremendous physiological benefits. Considered to be the threshold before long term benefits begin to phase in. The extra day deepens 2 day benefits, as well as needs for smart approaches to transition.</li>
<li><strong>Long Term Fasting:</strong> 3-14 Day days, but typically if you&#8217;re going to go over 3 days usually the length is 7, 10, 14 days and beyond.</li>
<li><strong>Extended Fasts:</strong> Extended Fasts are longer than Long Term and Usually shorter than 30 Days which is a significant amount of time to be engaged in 1 single Fast Mode.</li>
<li><strong>Indefinite Fasts:</strong> Of course there are those special fasts programs that are 30 Days plus. Many people have done The Maser Cleanse for months at a time. More often than not, if one is on a program lasting more than 30 days the Mode of the Fast will modulate, or change to keep the individual&#8217;s motivation and interest levels up, and tap into the benefits of Interval or Burst training, keeping the body adjusting to a healthy balance.</li>

Or from all refined white powders. That alone would be an amazing start and would be considered and &#8220;Exclusion&#8221; Fast.</p>
<p>The other kinds of fasts eliminate everything, except what they include. The Master Cleanse for example, includes only a &#8220;Smoothie&#8221;, or you might say a Modified Juice that <em>includes</em> water, fresh lemon juice, rich maple syrup and the master herb. cayenne pepper.</p>
<p>Or as most people think of when they hear the word fast; a water fast. Which is to say all one includes in their diet is water.</p>
<p>Yikes.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s about as challenging as it gets.</p>

<p>The problem is most people have no conscious clue as to when these seasons end, what&#8217;s in their cycles of behaviour, and when/how often they repeat.</p>

<p>So you need to understand your current patterns, then choose some new ones that work for you and your objectives in health and life.</p>

<p>Let that be the driving factor in looking at the benefits of the parts of fasting you choose to comprise the approach you&#8217;re building.</p>
<p>You can choose to plan your cycles intermittently, or by stacking them up into a larger routine, something I like to call &#8220;Super Fasting&#8221;</p>

<p>If you planned for retirement, you might set aside 10% of you paycheck each month. Cycle (month), Consistency (each month)</p>
<p>If you plan for your vacations, you might ask for 2 weeks per year (way to little, should be 10% per period if you ask me, but that&#8217;s for another time). Cycle (weeks), Consistency (each year).</p>
<p>If you want to be well. Fast, Feed and Feast consistently. Cycle your MODES&#8230; Get in the habit of High Intensity Interval Fasting.</p>
<p>When you&#8217;re fasting for immunity. Do it well.</p>
<p>When you&#8217;re fasting for weight loss, do it well.</p>
<p>When you&#8217;re feasting for the pure love of food. Enjoy and Do it WELL.</p>
<p>And you will be well.</p>
<p>The anthesis to wellness is stagnation. Even if you 100% balanced in a well state, I would argue to change the MODE of your well state from 1 way of eating to another. 1 Way of exercise to another periodically, so that you body always has something to do (that is adjusting to a new state of wellness, rather than recovering from a new state of disease).</p>
<p>This is why a PROGRAM is paramount. Even if it&#8217;s a simple one.</p>
<p>Pick a program, trust the designers of that program. Get extra coaching. Customize where neccessary, and take your wellness seriously as you would you retirement or vacation.</p>

<h3>The No C.R.A.P. Diet</h3>
<p>All reputable detox and weight loss programs all have this in common, because it&#8217;s so obvious isn&#8217;t it?</p>

<p>Well at least some aspects are. Take foods for example.</p>
<p>There are outright toxic foods with absolutely ZERO nutritional value. You know what many of these are. They are highly processed, and chemically created &#8220;foods&#8221; (yes I am talking to you Double Stuff Oreo&#8217;s and Cheesy Puffs). They are always packaged, and each ingredient is long, has numbers, or you can not pronounce.</p>
<p>And, most of us today, have at least some basic understanding that many &#8220;whole&#8221; foods, that are largely nutritious, can also be &#8220;stepped-on&#8221; through refinement, or the addition of smaller amounts of chemical ingredients.</p>
<p>So if we&#8217;re being detailed oriented about eliminating these toxic ingredients we must also be committed to eliminate those foods which are easy for us to apologize for, making excuses to continue eating them because they say &#8220;natural&#8221; on the packages.</p>
<p>What&#8217;s more, even foods that are clearly &#8220;whole&#8221;, like a single apple, can have more toxins in it or on it than one of those Double Stuffs.</p>
<p>Yes, most of know at least in passing how dangerous pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides are, even in small amounts. And don&#8217;t you wish that they were just used in small amounts?</p>
<p>The sad truth is that in the last 10 years we&#8217;ve tripled our usage of the number and types of these &#8220;homo&#8221;-cides, and quadrupled the total count of parts found on our produce. And even since some countries started banning the worst ones we could identify, that doesn&#8217;t stop them from coming into those countries from other countries that haven&#8217;t banned them.</p>
<p>But wait!</p>
<p>&#8220;That&#8217;s why we invented Organic Foods&#8221;, you might say.</p>
<p>Well, you&#8217;d be wrong again (that&#8217;s ok, I was too).</p>
<p>Organic foods still contain many, many pesticides. They just don&#8217;t have a select few that can qualify them as &#8220;Organic&#8221;</p>
<p>In fact, organic farmers do use pesticides. The only difference is that they&#8217;re &#8220;natural&#8221; instead of &#8220;synthetic.&#8221; And the natural pesticides have been found to be as toxic as the synthetic ones.</p>
<p>AND (yes there is another and), if that wasn&#8217;t enough, even if we could find a perfectly whole and naturally anything-cide free food, it can still be dangerous and even deadly.</p>
<p>The &#8220;<a href="https://farrp.unl.edu/informallbig8">Big 8</a>&#8221; including peanuts, tree-nuts, dairy, eggs, seafood, wheat and soy can be overwhelming toxins to the human body.</p>
<p>Many of these we eat regardless of, and unaware of our &#8220;micro&#8221; sensitivities, or slight allergic reactions that are not debilitating, but cause on-going drag on our immune and other body systems.</p>
<p>So what do we do?</p>
<p>Simple:</p>
<h4>Eliminate C.R.A.P. Foods</h4>
<ol>
<li><strong>Created</strong>, Completely, Commercial, Chemical, Cooked</li>
<li><strong>Refined</strong>, <span class="s1">Re-Engineered:<b> </b>Food that has had parts removed, leaving it with less nutrients than when it was whole. i.e. white rice. Food that is Genetically Modified or engineered (GMO)</span></li>
<li><strong>Allergenic</strong>, Artificial</li>
<li><strong><span class="s1">Processed</span></strong>, Packaged, Pesticides, Produced: Processed in a way that denatures the food, including many cooking methods.</li>
</ol>
<p>Now it must be said that you can not make this a fanatical addiction. Rather, simply arm yourself with some understanding and tools to do your best to get the best quality foods you can. In today&#8217;s world it&#8217;s very difficult to avoid all these CRAP foods altogether. BUT, we can try!</p>
<p>Now if that wasn&#8217;t enough, we still have toxic water, air, energy, emotions and thoughts to attend to.</p>
<p>The first 2 water and air are more addressable to most. Use filters to get the most active, pure and beneficial form of water and air you can.</p>
<p>When you talk about energy you start to get some blank faces. Have you heard of EMF or Electro-Magnetic Fields? Probably a little.</p>
<p>While it&#8217;s still unclear and suffering from hordes of dis-information as to how much or what sources is dangerous, the evidence is staggering. This could mean limiting connected (wireless), and even disconnected screen time, or moving away from those power-lines across behind your house.</p>
<p>Then take it to the level that &#8220;Everything is Energy&#8221; including your emotions, thoughts and holistic body systems, and that they all interact, you really get some obvious push-back of &#8220;enough already&#8221;, and rightfully so.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s a lot to think about.</p>
<p>So in the spirit of simplistic progress and not perfection, just know that we&#8217;re working towards the goal of simplified approaches, and sound information to help you live your life well.</p>
<p>Just stop to think.</p>
<p>Become aware. Notice if the Food, Water, Air, Energy, Emotions and Thoughts you chose to consume or indulge are truly serving your desire for wellness and if you have an alternative choice at your disposal.</p>
<h4>Eliminate C.R.A.P. Water and Air Too</h4>
<p>Yes, of course not all water and air is quality.</p>
<p>We all know the obvious signs: pollution, smog, brown water, sludge. We wouldn&#8217;t drink from, or bathe in a sewer, nor wish to run behind a diesel truck.</p>
<p>But it gets much hard to know quality water and air with it&#8217;s clear, smells pretty, and has tasty flavours (especially when the manufacturers take such measure in marketing).</p>
<p>While we pay most attention to food in our diets did you know that we take in far more elements, chemicals etc. into our bodies that we do by eating?</p>
<p>We could go deep into detail about Pure Water and Pure Air, and which is the best way to obtain a trusted and available source but in short there are 2 types you want:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Natural Springs:</strong> Naturally occurring and next to perfect. Think mountain springs and rivers, gusts of air fresh from a summer storm coming off the ocean.</li>
<li><strong>Purified and Optimized:</strong> If it&#8217;s not a pure natural source, we need to purify it to eliminate the crap. But, we also need to revitalize it because often the process of purification steals valuable elements. We have gone overboard on being sterilized. <li><strong>Fluids:</strong> Blood (sugar) and Urine tests are very common, but which ones, how often, and what do they mean (all in a way that makes sense to you and me :)</li>
<li><strong>Gut:</strong> Your other brain, and critical partner to so many systems beyond the obvious digestive system. Leaky gut is often the hidden culprit to many health issues</li>
<li><strong>Mind:</strong> Monitoring your thoughts to understand your beliefs and personality, and then working with them to course-correct if they are not serving you well.</li>
<li><strong>Heart:</strong> More than just heart-rate, and blood pressure but heart rate variability, and other advanced measurements can track your stress levels and emotional responses.</li>
<li><strong>Breath:</strong> How often do you breath? In what pattern? Do you hold your breath? Are you getting enough oxygen? What is the contents of your breath? All of this can shed clues to your wellness or lack thereof.</li>
<li><strong>Energy:</strong> Simple. How much do you have? When is it lacking? In what way? Just a few questions is all it takes to track many of these signals.</li>
<li><strong>Emotions:</strong> What patterns are present? What do you react to unconsciously? What are the results in your body and life because of these emotions.</li>
<li><strong>Strength:</strong> How much can you accomplish? What does it take to tire you out?</li>
</ol>
<p>Ya, that&#8217;s a lot to consider.</p>
<p>But again, progress if your goal, not perfection.</p>
<p>First realize most of these can be done with a personal survey, a series of questions you ask yourself and track in a journal.</p>
<p>Then start with some basic physical and clinical tests like your standard blood test.</p>
<p>If your Doctor won&#8217;t order the tests, you can get most done for a decent price and many independent labs (see below)</p>
<p>That&#8217;s 90% of the information you really should be aware of.</p>
<p>Consider this:</p>
<p>&#8220;Self Care&#8221; lies on a continuum with health care providers at the opposite end to self care. Simply put, if you take responsibility for your own health, observing problems, researching and implementing solutions, you are engaged in Self-Care.</p>
<p>By measure our weight periodically, most notably before, after and perhaps during a diet, we can track our results.</p>
<p>When we have that data, we can optimize our next efforts by recognizing what&#8217;s working before, what needs improving, what is working after a change is introduced, what&#8217;s gotten worse etc.</p>
<p>So we want to take a &#8220;Current Reality&#8221; Snapshot at reasonable intervals as to not get bogged down in too much detail, or extra work-load.</p>
<p>But if you really want to be well, and be responsible for your wellness, the very basic metrics are needed (and best of all they are all either free or easy to obtain).</p>

<p>Good news is that it&#8217;s really not that hard to get them tested. For most, ask your doctor at least yearly, but for direct interventions you could be testing quarterly.</p>
<p>Other tests you can do at home and all of them you can manage at home once you get the results.</p>
<p>The biggest mistake people make is leaving their data at the Doctor because your Doctor is likely not your COACH.</p>
<p>You need someone who is pro-actively monitoring your health, recognizing patterns, and suggesting course-corrections.</p>
<p>Unless you&#8217;re one of the lucky ones with a Doctor who takes this approach, you&#8217;ll need to be that coach for now.</p>
<p>So utilize these tools for testing and managing your own personal health.</p>

<h3>End Your Cycle and Begin Another</h3>
<p>At the start of this report we talked about how all life goes through phases, diets, fasts or whatever you want to call them.</p>
<p>You are either on a conventional diet, a detox diet, a see-food diet (when you see food you eat it), or a re-tox diet bingeing after a brief purge.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s all a diet, whether you think it&#8217;s a 4-letter word or not.</p>
<p>I call the cycles of periodic aware consumption a &#8220;FAST&#8221;.</p>
<p>You&#8217;re either excluding food, water or air, or including them into a routine for a desired effect, a &#8220;Function&#8221;.</p>
<p>So the question is, if you&#8217;re ending one Functional Fast, what&#8217;s next?</p>
<p>Will it be another Functional Fast?</p>
<p>Or back to status quo, re-toxing yourself into dis-ease.</p>
<p>Either way your transition is just as critical as your next phase.</p>
<p>First, have an aware clue of what you want to do next.</p>
<p>Re-tox is cool. It&#8217;s one of my favourite seasons.</p>
<p>But then have a clue as to what&#8217;s next. Maybe it&#8217;s 3 Functional Fasts &#8220;Intermittently&#8221; followed by a cheat week (or month).</p>
<p>That works, and could look something like this:</p>
<ol>
<li>30 Day &#8211; No C.R.A.P. Diet</li>
<li>30 Day Master Cleanse Program (7 Days Before, 3 Days Ease-In, 10 Days Lemonade Diet, 3 Days Ease-Out, 7 Days After)</li>
<li>30 Days &#8211; Intermittent Fasting (2 Days No C.R.A.P. 2 Day Fast, 1 Day Cheat, 2 Days No C.R.A.P.</li>
<li>1 Week Cheat &#8211; Eat Whatever You Want</li>
</ol>
<p>These grouped cycles are what I like to call &#8220;<strong>Super-Fasts</strong>&#8220;.</p>
<p>The possibilities are endless, and should be dictated by what you your objective is.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re treating illness, you&#8217;ll need to be more strict.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re maintaining wellness, maybe you&#8217;re just doing No C.R.A.P. with a few cheat days.</p>
<p>Depending on what cycle you&#8217;re ending you may need to monitor your transition well.</p>
<h3>How to Transition</h3>

<p>Depending on the exact nature of the cycle you&#8217;ve just completed, you will have an opportunity to test your reactions when you re-introduce foods into your diet and check for sensitivities.</p>
<p>You won&#8217;t have to do this every time, and you will only be able to do it if you&#8217;ve been on a No C.R.A.P. for at least 10 days, but preferably 30 full days.</p>
<p>The idea is simple:</p>
<p>Every 3 days after your fast, add another one of the following foods / allergens and then look for signs of sensitivities:</p>
<ol>
<li><strong>Wheat / Gluten:</strong> Look for&#8230;</li>
<li><strong>Diary / Lactose:</strong> Look for&#8230;</li>
<li><strong>Unfermented Soy:</strong> Look for&#8230;</li>
<li><strong>Eggs:</strong> Look for&#8230;</li>
<li><strong>Tree Nuts:</strong> Look for&#8230;</li>
<li><strong>Peanuts:</strong> Look for&#8230;</li>
<li><strong>Night-Shade Vegetables:</strong> Look for&#8230;</li>
<li><strong>Fish, Shell Fish:</strong> Look for&#8230;</li>
<li><strong>Created, Artificial, Refined:</strong> Look for&#8230;</li>
</ol>
<p>You also don&#8217;t have to test for all of them, in particular, the top 4 are the biggest problem, and most common. Start with those.</p>
<p>If you find a sensitivity, you&#8217;ll need to consider what your go-forward approach will be. Will you remove it forever, treat the symptoms, or even try to eliminate the reaction through food exposure therapy.</p>
<p>No matter what you do in transition, it&#8217;s important to transition well.</p>
<p>Re-Introduce foods slowly, and with awareness.</p>
<p>If you just water fasted for 14 days, you can&#8217;t eat a steak first thing. Common sense rules here, but there other rule is to layer the C.R.A.P. back in slowly if you&#8217;re testing, and layer the complexity of food back in if your fast was highly exclusive.</p>

<h3>But I Want to Lose Weight &#8220;Fast&#8221;</h3>
<p>People always ask: &#8220;How much weight will I lose during the Master Cleanse?&#8221;</p>
<p>Master Cleanse Weight Loss results vary according to your pre-cleanse weight, and can be managed, to a degree, by how much lemonade you drink. Obviously you can Drink more, for less weight loss, and drink less to lose more weight. <strong>It is not a wise choice to drink less than 6 glasses in an effort to lose “extra” weight.</strong> Weight loss (if any), should occur naturally. <p class="p1">We&#8217;re all familiar with a broth fast, when we got the flu and Mom would bring us a mug of hot broth, we were broth fasting.</p>
<p class="p1">We can fast on animal or vegetable broths, although it will usually require you make your own broth. Commercially available broths don&#8217;t have the nutritional levels appropriate for fasting, being full of salt and usually MSG and a host of other chemicals. On the other hand, a homemade broth can be highly nutritious, full of vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes&#8211;even an animal-based broth, actually especially an animal bone broth.</p>
<p class="p1">Bone broths are extremely nutritious, high in minerals and rich in gelatin and collagen. Adding an acid, like wine or vinegar, during preparation will help draw out the minerals, particularly calcium, magnesium, and potassium.</p>
<p class="p1">To make a bone broth: start with the highest quality bones available, preferably organically-raised and hormone-free animals. Add 2-4 tablespoons vinegar (depending on how large a batch you&#8217;re making), any vegetables you want to add, and water to cover. Let this sit for 30 minutes to an hour, then bring to a boil and remove any scum that appears on the surface. Continue to simmer anywhere from 4-24 hours, the longer the simmer, the more nutrients will be drawn out of the bones.</p>
<p class="p1">To make a vegetable broth: use any organically-grown vegetables you want, cover with water, and simmer 30-40 minutes. Because of their extremely high nutritional content, be sure to add some dark leafy greens to the mix. Strain, saving the vegetables for another time.</p>

<p>The daily detox process can be compared to the Wash and Rinse cycles in a washing machine. While your daily dose of lemonade is like the &#8220;wash,&#8221; helping remove the toxins from your organs, the Salt Water Flush is the rinse. With the Salt Water Flush, all the impurities and toxins are physically removed from your body.</p>
<p>When considering using an <strong>Herbal Laxative</strong> for The Master Cleanse, one first has to understand some simple body mechanics and what the MC is and how it works. The Master Cleanse is a liquid mono-diet, which means it is a diet of only liquids composed of only the lemonade drink; it does not require or need any other foods. In fact, other foods or supplements only hinder its effectiveness and slow down the cleansing process. However, we still need to have regularity, and that&#8217;s where the herbal laxatives come in.</p>
<h3>Why Is an Herbal Laxative Necessary?</h3>
<p>The cleansing process or autolysis requires enzymatic processes to function properly, the eating of food uses enzymes for digestion rather than the breaking down of dis-eased and unhealthy cells as well as wastes that accumulate in the body. This lack of eating then does not provide adequate amounts of fiber in the diet.</p>
<p>Fiber is absolutely necessary for peristalsis or the wave like contractions that cause food to move through the digestive system and also finally to create the urge for bowel movements. <em>To compensate for this deficiency while on the Master Cleanse one has to take an herbal laxative to ensure the colon functions and causes the waste to be loosened and dislodged from the digestive system.</em></p>
<h3>Herbal Laxative Addictive?</h3>
<p>But wait, isn’t a herbal laxative, or any laxative, addictive when taken for more than a week? Yes, but only when you are eating food on a daily basis does this occur. While on The Master Cleanse, if you don’t eliminate, you get sick; in fact, I have talked to many, many people who are on the Master Cleanse and either have misread the instructions and have not taken an herbal laxative or taken a dosage that does not work while cleansing.  The Master Cleanse is a cleansing diet, and regular eliminations are vital to feeling well and having great success. You can only stop taking a herbal laxative if you get diarrhea. Now, because The Master Cleanse is a liquid-mono diet and you only consume liquids your Bowel Movements (BMs) are liquid or runny for almost all eliminations. This is not diarrhea. Only if you are running to the bathroom 7 or more times a day should you stop or at least lower your dosage until your eliminations return to 3 or 4 a day. I myself have done The Master Cleanse over 1200 days in total and I am not dependent on laxatives at all, I was constipated until I started using The Master Cleanse in 1979.</p>
<h3>Herbal Laxative Dosage</h3>
<p>Dosage of the Herbal Laxative is an issue that has to be taken into consideration, the right amount is dependent on many factors including your weight, state of health, and type of laxative that you are using. There are herbal teas, encapsulated herbs and herbal tablets that can be used for The Master Cleanse but I prefer tablets as the dosage is easy to adjust to your own specific needs. My rule of thumb is to not follow the instructions on the packaging as they are for people that are already eating not cleansing. This means the dosage will be less than necessary for someone on a liquid diet, so instead of 1 tablet I take 4 and this provides enough stimulation to generally have 1 to 2 eliminations from 1 dosage. This maybe too much for some but most require this amount or more for productive BM’s. The herbal laxative should be used every morning and evening, when using salt water flush in the morning then only laxative at night.</p>
<p>One last note, psyllium husks are not a laxative but a high fiber food that causes peristalsis and is not recommended on The Master Cleanse.</p>

<p class="p1"><b>When we set out to make a List of Cleanses, we thought it would be simple.</b> Cleanses (also called Detox Diets), are becoming more popular everyday. There are hundreds of cleansing techniques, and thousands of cleansing products on the market today. Here at TheMasterCleanse.org, we are interested in how each of the cleanses can work with, both during and after, or independently of The Master Cleanse (our favourite Cleansing Diet or Detox Diet). But the more we googled &#8220;Cleanses&#8221;, and &#8220;Detox Diets&#8221; the more variations we got. Hundreds, no thousands of cleanses.</p>
<p class="p1">You might ask, what is the difference between a cleanse and a detox?.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>For many people the words cleanse or detox the word is synonymous. But for others there is a distinct difference. For me, a cleanse has a purpose of general cleaning, while a detox might have a specific target substance to be detoxed, like alcohol or cocaine detox for example.</p>
<p class="p1"><b>So we built a list of cleanses</b> We started researching every single cleanse that google would expose to our insightful queries. While we aimed high, targeting any cleanses that anyone has ever done, is doing or will ever do, but that is a tall task.</p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s1"><b>Deciding of what to include in the Cleanse List</b></span></p>
<p class="p1"><b>So we set 2 parameters for inclusion on the cleanse list</b>: They key is it must be some sort of routine that people do, either by diet, or by product, or by process that is intended to cleanse the body and organ or system in some way. Second, in order to be included on this list of cleanses, there must be significant search traffic on the cleanse. I realize this might leave out some of the best cleanses quietly known to man, but that is what the comments are for, so make sure you leave a comment below</p>
<p class="p1">Now some cleanses are more popular than others. Popular cleanses have their own section below. Other cleanses are fad cleanses and still others are long lost or just emerging. Some we will even regard as &#8220;good cleanses&#8221; in our &#8220;Best Cleanses&#8221; list. We will do our best to compile a list of the best cleanses the world has ever know. Even the idea of a &#8220;Good Cleanse&#8221; makes for heated discussion.</p>
<p class="p1">For our purposes, we will define a good cleans as on that is natural, simple, effective and has at least a 75% favourable reputation from our sources found online. The problem then becomes how to identify and judge reputations. Fortunately there are tools for this, and more coming each day. I will be certain to update this post over time when I have full evaluations of the cleanse/product/manufacturer.</p>
<p class="p4"><b>Hype and Disinformation on Popular and Fad Cleanses and Detox</b></p>
<p class="p1">There are so many products found online, or even in whole foods, that look or sound the same, but particularly online. It is so easy to produce a nondescript herbal supplement that might have some cleansing qualities, quickly brand, package and market in a generic way. This leads to a great deal of confusion; a sort of paralysis by analysis where there is so much information, it becomes nearly impossible to make an informed decision. I believe, this fact is well taken advantage of by these very companies.</p>
<p class="p1">What&#8217;s more, many manufacturers hide behind their product and the army of affiliates promoting it. If they were only at &#8220;arms length&#8221; we might be able to find out who is responsible for the product at the end of the day. Who are these manufacturers? What else do they promote? What is their reputation? This list of cleanses is intended to be more than just a run-down of the latest greatest or oldie goldies. It is intended to be a resource for understanding leading and emerging products and manufacturers so that you can make an informed decision about what cleanse is right for you. Furthermore</p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s1"><b>Cleanse Varieties: A problem to categorize.</b></span></p>
<p class="p1">There are few different ways to cleanse. First, you can do a cleansing diet. There are cleansing products sold in kits. There are also home cleansing recipes that include teas, or certain mixtures taken as supplements to a regular diet. Finally there are also cleansing techniques that aren&#8217;t exactly cleansing diets. All of these Cleanse Types are categorized into the following sections:</p>

<p class="p1">A note on semantics. Some words have dual meanings such as cleanse, flush, detox, purify etc. We try to identify important differences in the meanings of words if they are relevant, otherwise you can assume that a Liver Cleanse is the same as a Liver Flush.</p>
<p class="p1">All the cleanses listed below (the good ones anyway), tend to be natural cleanses that rely on juices and fasting. Juice Cleanses, and Cleansing Fasts are natural, time tested and not subject to marketing hype &#8211;although many companies simply box up the natural ingredients and hype ensues.</p>

<li class="li1"><b>Colon Cleanse: </b>Often aimed directly at the colon, colon cleanses also can cleanse the whole body when done as a part of a regime like The Master Cleanse (which is also a colon cleanser.</li>
<li class="li1"><b>Liver Cleanse: </b>Liver Cleanse or Liver Flush is often combined with Gallbladder and Kidney Cleanses. Parasite Cleanses should be done first. It is a natural cleanse that uses Olive Oil and citrus juice like Fresh Lemon Juice. The process takes a full day and rids the liver of Gallstones.</li>
<li class="li1"><b>Gallbladder Cleanse: </b>Basically the same as a Liver Cleanse.</li>
<li class="li1"><b>Kidney Cleanse: </b>A day fast designed to rejuvenate the Kidney using a natural cleanse made from juices, herbs and other minerals. There are several variations.</li>

<p class="p1">Because Colon Cleaning is a big business there are many products available. When you are looking for a colon cleanser, the first thing you want to look for is the ingredients. Common ingredients include: roots of dandelion, black radish, rhubarb, and marshmallow. Aloe is also a good ingredientThis will help you understand the next thing to determine: Is it safe?</p>
<p class="p1">You want to understand the long term effects, and Short term effects, as well as the &#8220;Side Effects&#8221;. A Proper Colon Cleansing Program Removes the Mucoid Plaque From the Colon. This plaque is putrified waste inside your colon that didn&#8217;t make it out of the pipes. <p>1. <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Aid your detox with light exercise</strong></span>. Exercise is more than cardio to &#8220;burn fat&#8221;. It&#8217;s the literal meaning of the word &#8220;Move Your Body&#8221;. The process of moving your body stimulates every aspect of your body from digestion, elimination, lymph movement, breathing etc. –all of which contributes to the effectiveness of your body&#8217;s &#8220;repair&#8221; mode, eliminate waste and fat, quite literally with every breath.</p>
<p>2. <strong>Women tend to lose less weight than men.</strong> Just go with that. Don’t try to push the statistics in your favour. What you lose is what you lose. Fasting is cyclical, and sometimes you&#8217;ll lose more than others, because there is more at play than just weight loss, including cellular repair, and toxin mobilization.</p>
<p>3. This is a hard one, but <strong>do not weigh yourself</strong> (and especially no every day). Feedback is great, especially when visualizing your desired outcome, but too much of it leads to obsessive desire which can psychological and emotionally interrupt your detox. <p class="p1">If you understand the simple message that we become what we think about all day long and if were being conditioned all day long and being exposed to messages telling us how sick you are and whats wrong with you and you need to go to a doctor and you need to take a pill and this and have something else done for you. Its almost like theres a conspiracy out there of people who are making a fortune of convincing people that they&#8217;re hypochondriacs, that they have to be overweight, that they have to be sick. <p>Judging by the photos and videos, Joseph, who recently turned 60, needs no makeup at all.
