EYES ONLY FOR YOUI lived with a family in the country, that didn’t have a fence, and I got hit by a car, and they didn’t have the money to take me to the vet. My back and back leg were hurt, and the breaks healed on their own. Through all that pain, I was still a very happy boy, and just wanted to be loved. The grandaughters came to visit and saw the shape I had been in for those 2 months after the accident, and took me to this rescue group. I’m very lucky, they tried to repair my leg, I had surgery and had some hardware put in there to help me be able to use my back leg again, but there was too much nerve damage, so it had to be removed after a few months. I am a real favorite at the vet and with everyone I meet. Through the pain of surgery and rehab, I had nothing but doggy kisses for my caretakers. So, I am a tripod now, and it doesn’t slow me down one bit — boy am I fast. I love other dogs, love toys, love to sleep in the bed, and love to play and run. I’m one special little happy boy. I’m completely kennel trained. I’m very happy and very lucky to be in a foster home now, but I still dream of having my very own permanent home with humans to love. If you own a dog or cat and you’re living at our pet-friendly apartment community at The Meadows, we’ve found an event that you may be interested in attending. In fact, even if you don’t have a pet but are maybe thinking about adopting one, this may be the event for you.

It’s called the Bartlett Parks and Recreation Pet Show and it’s taking place on Saturday, May 5 from 9am to noon at the Bartlett Animal Shelter located at 5220 Shelter Run Lane, Memphis, TN. Bring your furry, four-legged friend dressed in their snazziest attire and you could be the winner of a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place trophy. Along with these fun festivities, there will also be an area vet present doing microchipping, and all adoptions will be half price on that day as well.
