Caledonia is an elegant dark theme for Plasma-KDE, based on Ember, and with several new elements (obtained from other themes, remixed or re-created).

Contains monochrome icons, progress bars and scroll bars elegantly decorated (taken from the Ambiance), a minimalist logout, and much more.

Special thanks to the creators of the themes that has been based, especially Ember.

WE Ergo Blue GTK/Xfce port.
My thanks to Gelosea for allowing me to port the theme.

Archive contains GTK2 theme (using pixmap engine) and theme for bmpanel2 (not compatible with version 1). Xfce panel is themed too, but due to its limitations it doesn't look as nice as bmpanel2.

Archive also contains patch for pixmap engine to enable mouse-over for menubar items and making disabled images grayed (instead of that ugly "dot effect") and some enhancements for GtkStatusbar (no more blured resize grip on windows resizing, shadow is drawn all over the statusbar).

Then there is patch for Thunar file manager to get the location bar as in the screenshot (url entry is shown when the icon is clicked on).

Applying the patches is not a must, but recommended. If you don't patch thunar, comment marked line in xfce.rc (line 12).

Forgot to mention: xfwm4 theme included

Created theme for metacity. It's a bit hacky and you shouldn't set too big font (I use 8pt bold @96dpi)

Kupo Finale for GTK2

Back to the pixmap/pixbuf engine for this one. The dark one is my first complete dark theme for GTK, so it may have some bugs.

Metacity and emerald themes included.

Wallpaper is from KDE4.2 - [link]
"Start icon" from an icon set called Neon: [link] (not made by me).
Font is Futura MdCn BT.

Elegant-Arch gtk3

I find it to be a pretty dark background, actually.

Btw I made it to fit the gtk2-Elegant-Arch theme colors,
which is made in bitmap and therefore it is a pain in the a$$
to edit every image

as for the gtk+3 theme, you can just change the background color in the
gtk.css file

The inconsistency with the sound and logout menus is not fixable at the moment, it is a bug with Gnome-Shell.

Transparent Atolm For Ubuntu

First theme that I have made (if that's what you call modding another theme) so please be patient . . .

*Please remember that this is a work in progress*

I also included the GTK3 theme of Atolm (with little mods) I am trying to learn how to manipulate Gtk CSS sheets (I found it easier to read and manipulate the gnome-shell CSS sheet)

Any help/suggestions are welcome I am trying to create a rounded and semi-transparent theme.

Installing:

Recommend getting Gnome Theme selector if you haven't already (link to instructions at bottom)

Extract archive to ~/.themes/

Hit Alt + F2 then type the letter r and hit enter

you should be able to apply theme under activies -> thems -> Transparent Atolm

instruction for Ubuntu user used installer :
PREPARING:
download suiltepack.zip,extract it.Open terminal(go to Application/Accessories/Terminal)and type:
cd where you extra your suitepack
(If you download and extract it in ~/Downloads just COPY&PATSE this line to terminal: cd ~/Downloads/suitepack/ )
then type

INSTALL:
just relax for await and the installer will install it for you

COMPLETED:
after finish,you must to do something to make system run right:
restart your computer:choice elegant brit gtk ,emerald theme,dusk background,default curors
right click to top panel and choose add gnomenu,global menubar to the panel.Right click the button of gnomenu/properties,in themes tab choice amora theme for menu selection,amora button for button selection.
Run avant-windows-navigator,press Alt+F2 and type :conky to have the fake amora dock bar
Now enjoy it !
For other linux system(like fedora,opensuse),you must preparing and installer manual:
Install avant-windows-navigator,gnomenu,global menubar,conky,clarity icons pack.

Elementary Ubuntu

DanRabbit's elementary theme modified to match Ubuntu's color scheme.

What I did:
- Changed selection/highlight color to orange
- Enabled elementary's dark panels
- Modified breadcrumbs and other Nautilus images to give them an orange highlight
- Modified close and menu buttons for Metacity to give them an orange highlight

Notes:
- Uses Faenza-Dark icons by default
- Looks great with default Ubuntu wallpaper and font
- Requires nautilus-elementary (may consider packaging a version w/out this requirement)
- Screenshot uses Docky with the HUD theme

To apply:
- Unpackage the zip file,
- Copy the single folder into /usr/share/themes/, OR
- Copy the folder to ~/.themes/,
- Open System > Preferences > Appearance, and fianlly
- Choose elementary-ubuntu
