Parallax uses WordPress' custom post types to manage portfolio items, highlights, and team members so that they are completely separate from the blog posts. Each custom post type has its own custom panel which makes it very simple to manage and customize your content.

Portfolio Post Type

Parallax comes with a Portfolio custom post type for creating a portfolio section showcasing multimedia work. See the portfolio demo. It supports multimedia content such as videos, images and gallery sliders.

Also, it has been expanded to open content within the same page, so as to compliment the Parallax single-page design.

Highlight Post Type

The purpose of the Highlight post type is to display a short descriptive text to highlight your agency's feature list or services provided. You can take a look at our Highlight demo to get a better idea of how this works.

Team Post Type

Use Team posts to display a complete list of your team members. Team members can be categorized based on their job title, such as Executive, General, Management, etc. You can take a look at our Team demo to understand how Team posts work.

Custom Header Background and Navigation

Each page has the ability to upload a custom header background image or assign a custom menu. Check the header image on Blog, Shortcodes, and Contact page. For the custom menu demo, check the homepage and the inner pages like Portfolio.

List and Grid Layouts

Aside from the full width post layout, the layout can be set to 4-column, 3-column, 2-column, or 2-column-thumb with or without the sidebar.

Infinite Scroll

After upgrading to Themify Framework 1.3.4, you'll be able to select Google Web Fonts for any typographic area in the theme, from the body text font, to headings, form elements, navigations and so on. As shown in the image, the web safe fonts are still available for you to choose.

Just remember that each Google Web Font you select adds a slight footprint to your site loading, so while you have the entire Google fonts repertory at your fingertips, you should wisely use only those that you really need to keep the good performance of your site.

To upgrade:

You should see the upgrade message on the Themify panel page. Click "Update now" to perform auto upgrade. Note: please ensure you upgrade entire theme, not just the framework.

After you upgraded the theme, it will prompt you to update the data. Click on the backup link to backup a copy of your current setting data. Then click "Update Now" button to update the data. All your existing settings data should be converted after the upgrade. If you encounter any issue, please post on our forum or contact us for support.

Metro Layout

The Metro layout is created with a custom post type called Tile. It can be used to display various content types, from text (with full shortcode support) and buttons to gallery sliders, images and maps. It allows you to specify the tile size (small, medium, or large) to produce the Metro layout result. The banner and map Tile has optional flip-over content layer.

With shortcode support, you can display any dynamic content with the shortcodes that are packed with our framework or plugins. You can display sliders, buttons, videos, maps, Flickr galleries, Twitter feeds, recent posts, etc.

WordPress Post Formats

Metro includes support for all WordPress Post Formats: Image, Video, Gallery, Quote, Audio, Link, and Status. With our enhanced custom panel, publishing post format content is much easier and clearer. The custom panel now only shows the related fields with the selected format.

Portfolio
