Supposedly it is a World Wildlife Fund campaign to win support for preserving the floodplain forests outside Vienna.
If it had been funded by BP, it were genius.

Hey Jonathan, how great to find your blog!
I don´t think you rememeber me.
Just a little help: same class with Stephan, fallen in love with this *unspeakable* Georg of your class. Also a friend of Beate.

Have a clue now?
Ah, my real name: Michaela!

Great to read you, will come back from time to time!

Hello,
Just came across your blog.. beautiful work! =)
Lucky charms are really full of sugar, that's why I think so many kids eat cheerios.
If you're experimenting with cereals try waffle or cookie crisps, they are yummy!

it's quite amazing that these images come up again and again for appropriation. i did a series of them where i replaced the main figure with the image of a lightbulb filament (based on a series of paintings i had been doing). even with this rather abstract substitution, the works still conveyed something like the originals and i love this about iconic works. they are greater than the sum of their parts.

the arrival is awesome! i'm not sure if you're reading it in hardback, but if you're not, i recommend it - there's something extra cool about the graphic/pencil/romantic-ness of it all with a hard cover.
