Synopsis

Nigerian Urban-Pop publication Mystreetz Magazine have released their anniversary issue with popular Radio OAPs Tolu ‘Toolz’ Oniru and ‘Oladotun ‘Do2DTun’ Kayode making the first ever double edition.

‘When we decided to publish a monthly music magazine about a year ago, we knew we had to conquer the economic, intellectual and the basic human limitation (the fear of the unknown) to realize this goal’, the magazine’s publisher, Sesan Adeniji says.

Kanye West and J Cole

The HipHop circuit is all hyped up and ready for Kanye West and J Cole‘s new albums and the rappers have created a bit of controversy with their albums titles and covers.

Kanye’s girlfriend Kim Kardashian shared the title and cover art for her boyfriend’s new album through a post on her Instagram page on Saturday; the photo reveals the Kanye’s sixth album title is ‘Yeezus’ (which rhymes along with Jesus) and will be released on June 18, 2013.

Kanye’s last album ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy‘ was also controversial – from the nude album art to the video for the first single ‘POWER‘.

J Cole will also be releasing his second album ‘Born Sinner‘ on June 18. His album cover depicts a black statue with horns and a halo hovering over its head.

‘Decided to announce my international retirement as well. I was honoured to represent my country for such a long, illustrious time. #sadtimes’ he announced on Twitter. ‘Decided to focus on being fit at club level. Hope everyone understands’.

Joey Barton says he is now focused on playing football at the highest level.

According to SA publication Star newspaper, Nelson Mandela‘s daughters are suing him for the rights to his artworks and control of his millions.

A Monday May 20 report says Zenani and Makaziwe Mandela aim to fight an April 2004 Johannesburg High Court judgement ordering  Mandela the right to instruct Ismail Ayob, his then lawyer, ‘to stop managing his financial, personal and legal affairs’.

It further says Mandela’s current lawyer Bally Chuene has filed a legal document, responding to a lawsuit brought by the Mandela daughters.

The daughters are now being represented by Ayob.

The sisters last month had filed papers asking for Chuene, George Bizos SC and Human Settlements Minister Tokyo Sexwale to remove themselves as directors and trustees of the Mandela Trust and as directors of Harmonieux and Magnifique (Pty) Ltd.
