It has been a month after Rachel and I have returned back to the states, almost 2 months since we left Mongolia and we even have great news! For those of you who are just tuning in, Rachel and I spent our summer in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, working with The New Media Group as their first installment of Global fellows. We were tasked with working within the organization to try to work through the application process of becoming a Benefit Corporation.

Batbataar Khurelbaatar is an award-winning Mongolian artist who has recreated a lost world from the early 1900s in a series aptly called "Pinhole". Another set of works he is creating focuses on bells kept in Buddhist temples which pilgrims like to touch, believing it will bring them good luck. Batbataar won first prize in last year's Beijing Biennale.
