If you are correct, and I really think you are here, this is fantastic because it corresponds to the history of this location. I will have to look into this more, because it is unique enough of a relic that there has to be a story behind it. singletree harness is a good possibility. I think it has something to do with draft power, but the idea that it may be a bucket or pot carrier is even more intriguing.

item at 0:35 is either a part of a horse or mule singletree/harness,etc. or one of those bucket or cast iron pot toters where a person has a wooden pole across shoulders—it has one of these hooks to hold one bucket/pot on one side and one on the other side—-just a guess, but I’ve seen this sort of hook on a singletree or other harness—maybe the bucket carrier???
