When the lights went out at the farm, we did not give up - we got creative. No electricity? No working generator? No problem. We worked hard (hand milked 60 high producing Saanen dairy goats), stayed up later, and leaned on good old-fashioned grit.

And guess what? We came home winners from the Howard County Fair.

About our handmade goat milk soap:

Since ancient times, goat milk has been renowned for its nutritional and medicinal properties. Cleopatra is said to have bathed in it. Fresh, natural goat milk contains unique fats, proteins and minerals that moisturize and rejuvenate the skin, including vitamin A, B-complex, and C; and alpha-hydroxy acid, a natural skin exfoliant. Goat milk is the only milk containing capric-caprylic triglyceride, a naturally occurring fatty acid that forms a barrier on the skin to help inhibit the loss of moisture.

Because of these healthful properties, goat milk soap is often recommended for maintaining healthy, balanced skin, and may be useful in relieving skin ailments such as eczema, psoriasis, and other forms of dermatitis.

We handcraft each bar of our goat milk soap with the highest concentration of our fresh goat milk, and the finest, natural moisturizing oils and botanicals.
