Apart from this, it is also getting more and more difficult for a new website to gain a good position in the top search engines. However, you can get the best out of the search engines through search engine optimization.  </p>
<p> Given below are a few tips which will help you get the best of search engines. </p>
<p> 1. Page optimization:</p>
<p> The first thing that you need to take care of in order to get good results on the search engine pages is great content. If your website has the best kind of content, it is sure to receive great results. Do not put up mediocre content on your website because it will do no good for your business.</p>
<p> 2. If you want your website to be a successful one, you need to go for an easy, clear navigation system. If your website is a large one, try to separate it into several sections so that a visitor is able to navigate through it properly.</p>
<p> Proper arrangement is very important if you want to retain good rankings in search engines. </p>
<p> 3. Thorough keyword research is very important for good rankings. Maintain a decent keyword density in your content in order to receive top rankings.</p>
<p> 4. Once you get to know the keywords which have the greatest demand, use them in the titles of your articles and the headings in order to receive huge search engine traffic. Use the keywords cleverly and do not overcrowd your content with the most popular keywords because it would often backfire on you!</p>
<p> 5. Establish rlevant links to your pages. Link only to sites whose content is relevant to yours, so that a visitor gets to a page which is related to your website or topic.</p>
<p> 6. Although much importance is not given to it, off page optimization is also equally important for search engine optimization. The first thing that you need to worry about is the links. Link only to websites which are relevant to your page. Also, link only to websites which have a good quality.</p>
<p> Linking to relevant and good websites will increase your demand and credibility, which, in turn, will fetch you better search engine results. </p>
<p> 7. Submitting to directories is another important traffic tactic. There are certain directories which will accept your submissions for free but there are some others which will charge you a certain amount of listing fee. In case  you find a directory which wants a reciprocal link, avoid going for it unless you think that it will benefit your website greatly.</p>
<p> 8. If you promote your website actively, you are sure to get good search engine results. You can drop in your articles to article banks. You can also giveaway articles to those who accept it in exchange of a linkback.</p>
<p> 9. Social networking is also a great way of making your site better and achieving higher results in search engines. However, be sure to abide by the rules of the social networking sites in order to ensure that the website owners do not take any action against you.</p>

Given below are seven tips which will help you get more traffic: </p>
<p> 1. Ensure that you have high quality content</p>
<p> The first thing that you need to do is to have good quality content. In the World Wide Web, content is the king. The only way in which you can do well and get good traffic is by having relevant content in your website.</p>
<p> Instead of going in for mediocre content which will only lead to a bad impression upon your website visitors, try to devote more time to your content and churn out high quality content.</p>
<p>  2. Link exchanges.</p>
<p> Linking is a good way of generating huge <a title="How to Generate <b><i><u>Traffic</u></i></b> Using a Blog" href="http://theonlinemarketingplace.com/affiliate-marketing/how-to-generate-traffic-using-a-blog/">traffic</a> to your website. It is a good way of promoting your website. In order to build up links, get in touch with website owners whose sites have content similar to yours. Once you identify such websites, contact their owners and exchange links. Through them, you will definitely be able to get hold of some relevant traffic. </p>
<p> 3. Go for affiliates</p>
<p> Affiliate programs mean that you will hire individuals to promote your website or products. In exchange, you will have to pay them a certain percentage of your profits. There are many ways to pay your affiliates and you can choose any way that suits you. However, when hiring affiliates, ensure that the content on their pages is related to your website content.</p>
<p>   4. Submitting to directories</p>
<p> In order to make your website more visible, submit it to popular directories like Open Directory Project and Zeal. You can also submit to directories which have themes so that their topics are relevant to your website. You can also go for small directories which can get hold of a lot of in bound links for you.</p>
<p> 5. Go for a bit of video marketing:</p>
<p> Make a video promoting your website and then post it on any of the popular video websites. Post it on YouTube, Break.com or even on various social networking sites. Try to make an interesting video which will be appreciated by your target audience. If they like your video, they will circulate it and that would be a great kind of publicity for your website. Make it a point to include the url of your website in that video.</p>
<p> 6. Create a free report:</p>
<p> Try to create a report that is related to your business. A great way to promote your website is to add a link of your website frequently in the report. Once you write the report, give it away for free to different website owners. Once you are able to distribute it freely to people with websites, you can ensure that you get a great deal of traffic.  </p>
<p>     7. Go for posting free ads:</p>
<p> Post advertisements in places where you are sure to get traffic. Although most of the free ad forums are just a waste of time, a few of them can actually be of great help.    </p>
<p> Follow these tips and you will be able to get great traffic to your website and get your business booming.</p>

<p>For some people, the very word &#8216;article&#8217; is pregnant with meaning. They know for certain that articles refer to electronic text, used on the Internet through web pages and email, to generate <a title="Ways To Collect Data For Your Next Blog Post" href="http://theonlinemarketingplace.com/uncategorized/3419/">quality content for websites </a>and ezines. There are many benefits of providing good quality content on your website. If you think about it, you&#8217;ll find that the benefits of providing it to your customers are great too.</p>
<p> When you distribute articles, you add more incoming links to your website. You get noticed in the market. Ezine<b><i><u>Articles</u></i></b>.com is the most frequently used article directory, so if you add your content there, you can&#8217;t miss success.</p>
<p> If you want to read or submit articles, then Ezine<b><i><u>Articles</u></i></b>.com is THE place to go. I have submitted several articles to that directory and experienced positive results.</p>
<p> This is a very good website for Google back links, but sitting back after submitting a single article won&#8217;t get you many visitors. However, by generating a stream of 2 or 3 articles a week, especially if they are well written and novel, and submitting them to Ezine<b><i><u>Articles</u></i></b>.com, you can channel traffic towards yourself. Your website&#8217;s ranking will climb. Google is a powerful website. A back link from them boosts your search engine optimization.</p>
<p> Buzzle is a strong competitor for Ezinearticles.com. You should check it out and keep it high on your priority list. Writers who work for Buzzle also gain extra exposure when they are featured on the directory.</p>
<p> <b><i><u>Articles</u></i></b> for the web are ideally written in small paragraphs of three to four lines each. These give higher CTR than articles written in longer paragraphs of 6 to 8 lines. Smaller paragraphs tend to hold the attention of the reader for a longer time, and therefore attract more traffic.</p>
<p> Why <a href="http://blog.ezinearticles.com/">Ezine<b><i><u>Articles</u></i></b></a> isn&#8217;t making the most of your article marketing</p>
<p> A small problem crops up when you decide that submitting to Ezine marks the end of your job. There is plenty more for you to do. Most online business owners do none of this. But if you follow the tips below I am sure you will do much better than the other article marketers.</p>
<p> 1. Use the content on your own website and modify them to suit your purpose. You can repurpose them for email, reports, audio recordings and even videos.</p>
<p>  2. The content can also be used as a base for your upcoming press release. You have already put in the required effort; all you have to do now is broaden the distribution of your article.</p>
<p> 3. More importantly, look for websites related to your niche. These are sites which have regular visitors whose profiles match with that of your prospective clients. Contact publishers of successful websites and newsletters and offer your skills first hand. Do not suffer from the illusion that they will eventually find your work on Ezine<b><i><u>Articles</u></i></b>.com or Buzzle. Build up a direct relationship with these publishers and send them the articles they are looking for!</p>

With just a few clicks you get access to thousands and even millions of pieces of information and data on virtually any field of interest. As years pass by, the Internet continues to effect radical changes in many facets of human endeavors, including commerce. Experts say that the information space, commonly known as the “world wide web,” grows by over a million pages everyday as more and more people utilize the Internet for information, education, entertainment, business and other personal reasons. It doesn’t take a business-oriented individual to realize that this phenomenon can bring about sky-high financial gains. The Internet’s fast-growing popularity in the recent years is surely an opportunity for business that any entrepreneur would not want to miss.</p>
<p>You might be thinking only businessmen can make much money out of the Internet, don’t you? Think again. You too can earn big bucks through the Internet even if you don’t have products to sell and high-profile and established company. How? That is through <a title="What is affiliate marketing?" href="http://theonlinemarketingplace.com/affiliate-marketing/affiliate-marketing-2/">affiliate marketing</a>. You might have come across these words over the net while surfing. Affiliate marketing is a revenue sharing between a merchant and an affiliate who gets paid for referring or promoting the merchants’ products and services. It is one of the burgeoning industries nowadays because it is proven to be cost-efficient and quantifiable means of attaining great profit both for the merchant and the affiliate and other players in the affiliate program, such as the affiliate network or affiliate solution provider.</p>
<p>Affiliate marketing works effectively for the merchant and the affiliate. To the first, he gains opportunities to advertise his products to a larger market, which increases his chances to earn. The more affiliate websites or hard-working affiliates he gets, the more sales he can expect. By getting affiliates to market his products and services, he is saving himself time, effort and money in looking for possible markets and customers. When a client clicks on the link in the affiliate website, purchases the product, recommends it to others who look for the same item or buys it again, the merchant multiplies his chances of earning. On the other hand, the affiliate marketer benefits from each customer who clicks on the link in his website and who actually purchases the product or avails of the service provided by the merchant. In most cases, the affiliate gets commision per sale, which can be fixed percentage or fixed amount.</p>
<p>If you want to be an affiliate marketer and make fortunes out of the Internet, you may follow the following three most basic and easiest ways to start an effective affiliate marketing program. First is to identify a particular thing you are interested in or passionate about so you won’t be bored and forced to develop your affiliate web site later on. Focusing on a specific area you know very well will help you bring out your best without much risks and effort. You can add a personal touch to your site and give your visitors who are possible buyers an impression that you are an expert in your field. In this way, you gain their trust and eventually encourage them to buy the products you endorse. Next is to look for good paying merchants and products or services related to your affiliate marketing interest and create now a website. In choosing the products, you must also consider its conversion rate</p>

<p><span class="drop_cap"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-3539" alt="<b><i><u>Keywords</u></i></b>" src="http://theonlinemarketingplace.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Keys.jpg" width="120" height="85" />I</span> can’t stress strongly enough how important it is for an Internet Marketer to know what keywords they should use for their marketing campaigns, and how much their competition is willing to pay for those same keywords. This may seem like a complicated process, but it really isn’t. In this article we’ll discuss two free websites that all internet Marketers can use to find this information.</p>
<p>Let’s first talk about <a title="Finding The Right <b><i><u>Keywords</u></i></b>" href="http://theonlinemarketingplace.com/affiliate-marketing/3538/">keywords</a>… When I say ‘keywords’, I’m referring to marketing keywords. These are the words that your potential customers would use to describe your product. These are the same words that somebody would type in an online search engine to find your products.</p>
<p>If you have a business website and you don’t know which marketing keywords your website is geared to, then you’re website is certainly at a huge disadvantage. Why? Because you will be losing business. And you can bet that your main competition WILL know their marketing keywords, and they WILL be strategically using these keywords in their website and advertisements.</p>
<p>You see, when search engine spiders crawl your website, they’re looking for text in your website that can be indexed and used to describe the content of your website. If your website doesn’t contain the proper keywords that people use to find your product, then your website will likely not show up in their searches. So your website really needs to be optimized with the relevant marketing keywords that the majority of people are using to search for your product.</p>
<p>Another example where it is vital to know your marketing keywords is when using Pay-Per Click (PPC) advertising. Pay-Per Click advertising is typically done through search engines where you pay each time someone clicks on your advertisement (link). Your advertisement will appear after a user goes to the search engine and runs a keyword search (which is just a regular search). The search engine looks at their submitted keyword(s) and then cross references those with the keywords associated with the PPC advertisements. If they match, the PPC ads are then returned with the users search results… Go ahead and go to Google and run a search. The ads you see on the right-hand side of the screen are the PPC ads.</p>
<p>(Note: The order in which the PPC ads are returned are dependant on a few factors: the price you’re willing to pay for each click, the search engine used, the ad Click-Through Rate (CTR), etc.)</p>
<p>Let’s now go through a quick and free process for finding good keywords for your website.</p>
<p>1) Go to the <a href="https://adwords.google.com/select/main?cmd=KeywordSandbox">Google AdWords Keyword Tool</a>.</p>
<p>Enter some key words into the textbox that you think people would use to conduct a search for your product. When you’re done, click the submit button. You will then be shown specific and similar keywords. Write down the ones that you think would apply to your product.</p>
<p>2) Go to the <a href="http://www.vretoolbar.com/keywords/">Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool</a>.</p>
<p>Enter each keyword that you have written down from step 1, then click the right-arrow button. This will allow you to see which keywords are the most popular in Overture. Note: the most popular keywords aren’t always the most appropriate. For example, if your website sells guides on how to rebuild a 57 Chevy, then you will probably want to specifically target ’57 Chevy’ keywords, instead of the less specific ‘Chevy’ keyword. Why? Because you want to get your ad/website in front of the people that are most likely to buy your product.</p>
<p>The above 2 websites should give you a great keyword list that you can now use to optimize your website. But if you want to advertise using PPC, you really need to know what your competition is paying for your keywords. This is an easy task as well.</p>
<p>There you have it… two great websites that can help you find the right keywords for your Internet marketing campaigns – and best of all, they are both free to use!</p>

<p><span class="drop_cap"><img class="size-full wp-image-1106 alignleft" alt="seo versus ppc" src="http://theonlinemarketingplace.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/searc-engine-seo.jpg" width="120" height="101" />T</span>here are two major search engine marketing strategies in use today: <b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b> (search engine optimization) and PPC (pay-per-click). Both strategies are entirely different and it is tough to decide which one or which combination is right for you.</p>
<p>To decide which strategy is best for you, consider the basics. It is easier to judge the pros and cons when taking the big picture into account. People will continue to battle for the top search engine positions. Search engine marketing is undoubtedly one of the best sources of targeted traffic.</p>
<p>As people continuously try to find new and unique ways to get additional traffic to their web sites, the <b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b> industry continues to grow. PPC refers to advertising on a search engine that charges on a per click basis whenever a visitor clicks on one of your ads. The order of ads is usually based on bidding prices, meaning that the advertiser who bids the highest price per click will be listed first. These sponsored listings are known as PPC listings.</p>
<p><a title="The Best WordPress <b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b> Plugin – What IS <b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b>Pressor?" href="http://theonlinemarketingplace.com/affiliate-marketing/the-best-wordpress-seo-plugin-what-is-seopressor/"><b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b></a> tries to change your search engine ranking by looking at a number of factors including link popularity, Page Rank and so on. If your web site is search engine optimized then obviously you are more likely to have a good ranking in the search engines. A well-optimized and marketed site will be listed in the top results whenever a person searches for related keywords. One of the best benefits of <b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b> marketing is you don’t have to pay for any clicks! So, how can we decide which method is better? Both methods actually serve different purposes. However, one is likely to be a better fit for your business than the other one.</p>
<p>PPC</p>
<p>PPC traffic, rankings and results tend to be more stable and predictable than <b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b>, and, combined with its low cost, this makes PPC one of the more popular ways of advertising. Most companies try PPC before they try <b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b>, because it’s seen as more stable. In many cases PPC lets you rank well on the search engines, without having to do the tedious work involved in <b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b> – no finding link partners, posting links, creating content and so on. As long as you have the budget for it, the ranking is yours. Another advantage is that the listing will get posted when you want it and not when the search engine gets around to it. With PPC’s popularity growing day by day, the market is also getting competitive. You will find that CPC’s (costs per clicks) are steadily rising, and for a common man it is getting tough to invest much. As with most auctions, the more people bidding on PPC, the higher the prices get.</p>
<p><b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b></p>
<p>The main benefit of <b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b> is that it does not cost per click. The disadvantages are that the traffic to your website is more unpredictable and requires a lot of work. With <b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b>, you have to adapt and constantly change strategies as search engines change their algorithms. <b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b> is also slower than PPC, as many search engines don’t list new sites. So what should you choose? Well, it depends on how much money you are willing to spend, what your time line is, and what your return on investment is. If you have cash then PPC should be your first choice, as it produces fast results. PPC can also be used for testing the effectiveness of web sites. If you have time and money to invest in long-term results, <a href="http://searchenginewatch.com/article/2144010/8-<b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b>-Tips-That-Take-15-Minutes-or-Less"><b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b> </a>is an excellent option as well.</p>
<p>All and all, the best marketing strategy is typically to go with PPC in the short term to get immediate traffic and analyze conversions. <b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b> should then be taken with a long term view in mind, so you can reap the benefits of free traffic later on.</p>

And looking for a niche place in the cyber world? Or simply looking for a great rating among the search results of major search engines like Google, Yahoo or MSN? In any case, you must indulge in finding keywords. Yes, by finding keywords, that are apt and according to your <a title="How to Master Niche Marketing" href="http://theonlinemarketingplace.com/affiliate-marketing/how-to-master-niche-marketing/">niche</a> market, you will certainly be able to improvise on your search engine ranking.</p>
<p>The purpose of searching keywords is to find out the exact phrases that are requested by people in the searches carried in the major search engines. If your website has the relevant information about the most searched terms and keywords, your website would be rated higher by the major search engines. The entire process of improving search engine ranking for a website is a wide process and is called search engine optimization. Finding keywords is one of the most important parts of search engine optimization.</p>
<p>To start the keyword search for your website, make a list of the keywords related to your website. You can easily find the keywords by using online keyword services. One popular keyword service provider on the web is word tracker. Using word tracker tools and services, all you have to do is to type a keyword and wait for the list to appear on the computer screen. And you will you have a direct access to hundreds of keywords related to the keyword you have typed in the box.</p>
<p>For instance: your website is a website that markets and promotes skin products. Type the word “skin” and you will have all the top keywords related to skin. The keywords will be something like: skin care, oily skin, skin diseases, skin products, animal skin and so on.</p>
<p>Now you have to select the relevant keywords for your website. You cannot choose animal skin for your site which caters specifically to the human skin cosmetics and skin care. Yes you can include the keywords like skin care, skin cream, dry skin, oily skin and many others.</p>
<p>You have a number of keyword services and tools that can help you find the most searched keywords for your website. While you select the keyword with the help of these tools, you will also come to know how many number of times the keyword has been searched on the internet.</p>
<p>Let us go back to skin example: suppose you select dry skin, you can also track the exact number of times “dry skin” has been searched on the internet. The number can be some thousand times. Incase you choose “dry skin type”, the number of searches can be less. So, you are suggested to select the keyword with a higher search count first.</p>
<p>Another tricky method of finding keywords is to keep an eye on your competitors. Look at the meta-tags of your competitors’ website. The meta-tags are a good source of <a href="http://cf893cy8phuhfyfol0vjno3veb.hop.clickbank.net/">significant keywords</a>. You can also seek help from your customers regarding the keywords they use in their search.</p>
<p>Having a weblog page in your website is also helpful in tracking the keywords. Each weblog page has a link which shows the keywords being used to search your page. Once you have the right keywords in hand, you can hit the market with the most relevant and desired information on your website.</p>

Simply put, this is a tool that can definitely elevate the standard of your website, in the manner that it helps your website reach out on the Internet. The simple logic here is that if your website can reach out to more people, it will have more publicity, and more publicity means more traffic — exactly what <a href="http://43703nv0o8od2paffcsdso7d3z.hop.clickbank.net/"><b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b>Pressor</a> helps you achieve. As you get even the top position on Google within your niche, which is something that <b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b>Pressor has achieved time and again, it’s only natural that your business prospects are only going to improve.</p>
<p>The one fact is—you are going to optimize your website in some way or the other, with or without a software application. But if you are planning to do things manually, the big drawback is that you won’t get the time to pursue your main business itself. <a title="Common <b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b> Mistakes" href="http://theonlinemarketingplace.com/trafficgeneration/common-seo-mistakes/"><b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b></a> is a highly time-consuming activity, and you will find yourself wasting a great deal of time in blogging, marketing with articles, submitting to directories, sending emails to other webmasters for sharing links with them and so on.</p>
<p>Naturally, these things are going to take a lot of your time. Now just think—if you would just delegate all this work to a tool like <b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b>Pressor, won’t you be saving some immense amount of time? Time that you could better use in increasing your business?</p>
<p>Probably it is this thought that is making a lot of people invest in <b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b>Pressor today. The following are some time-consuming things that <b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b>Pressor can do for webmasters:-</p>
<p>1. It finds out the hottest keywords on the Internet and tells you how you can use them. It keeps monitoring the keywords and continuously makes suggestions. It also tells you what density you should use the keyword in and what special formatting you need to keep it. All these things could be very time-consuming if done manually.</p>
<p>2. The program also looks at the tags you have used and makes suggestions on how to improve prospects. It makes suggestions on which tagging formats should be used—H1, H2 or H3—and carries it out by itself.</p>
<p>3. If you run a blog, <b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b>Pressor will look at your individual posts and suggest changes if anything is wrong. It also tells you the value of each of your existing posts. So, it’s not just about optimizing your on-page needs but it is also about actually suggesting changes. <b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b>Pressor is essentially like having an <b><i><u>SEO</u></i></b> Professor right beside you, teaching and guiding you.</p>

<p><span class="drop_cap">M</span>any people with a <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b> get disheartened after a few weeks or months when their <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b> fails to attract thousands of readers. It is a real shame, because if <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b>gers followed a few simple <a href="http://a6382ns-r5gpbxczslo90boz5i.hop.clickbank.net/"><b><i><u>blog</u></i></b></a> marketing steps, then they would probably find that there is a willing audience just dying to read about most topics. So what can a <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b>ger do to get noticed? Here are a few <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b> marketing ideas that should get most <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b>s getting reasonable traffic in a short space of time.</p>
<p>Blog about a niche: The world doesn’t really need another ‘vanity <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b>’ about what you had for breakfast. Unless you are a super-model good looking teenage girl who wants to put a lot of photos on your <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b>, then you are probably going to have a hard time getting noticed. If you already have a vanity <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b> and are wondering why you are not getting traffic, then you need to know that the vanity <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b> market is totally saturated. Consider starting or changing your <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b> to some other topic – an interest or a hobby for example.</p>
<p>Next, you need to start posting to forums. Put the URL of the <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b> in your forum signature (don’t spam forums saying “look at my <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b>”). If you just join in the conversation naturally, then people will get curious and you will get a few more readers. If the forum you post in is also to do with a similar topic to your <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b> then you will probably get repeat readers from it! Try to find the most popular forums in the niche you are writing about. To find them, just go over to Google and search for your niche keyword plus ‘forum’ and you should get a list. Try to find forums with at least a few thousand active members.</p>
<p>Make sure to do trackbacks and pingbacks to other <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b>s that you have linked to so that they know about you. When people find out that you have talked about them, they will come to see what you said. So will some of their readers. Talking about popular stories from popular <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b>s may get you more than just a few visitors too.</p>
<p>Comment on other people’s <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b>s as much as you can (without spamming). In most cases you can put a link back to your own <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b> and people do follow these links. It is also good to target <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b>s that talk about the same subject as you, because then you will get targeted readers who are more likely to continue reading your <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b>. (Avoid using “comment spam” programs as Google can track this and will penalize you).</p>
<p>Most importantly, you need to keep <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b>ging! Nobody will return to a <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b> that is updated weekly or only occasionally. You need to add more content at least once per day, especially in the early stages of getting your <b><i><u>blog</u></i></b> noticed.</p>

<p>1) Is your site relevant? (Optimized for certain keywords)</p>
<p>2) Is your site important? (Many links back to your site from other sites)</p>
<p>Only when you address both of these considerations are you guaranteed of making an impact. Your degree of success depends on how hard you try and how many other people you’re competing against (and how hard they’re trying).</p>
<p>Optimizing your site for keywords is the easy part. (See http://www.divinewrite.com/seocopy.htm for more information on SEO copy.) Generating links back to your site is much more challenging – and time consuming (especially considering Google’s dampening link filter – see http://www.divinewrite.com/googlelinkfilter.htm). But it can be done; and you don’t need a huge budget.</p>
<p>The key to topping Google on a budget is <a title="Article Marketing For Newbies" href="http://theonlinemarketingplace.com/articlemarketing/article-marketing-for-newbies/">writing articles</a>.</p>
<p>Here’s how it works…</p>
<p>STEP 1) You’re an expert in your field so you possess knowledge that other people want.</p>
<p>STEP 2) You write a helpful article – sharing your hard-earned knowledge and expertise.</p>
<p>STEP 3) You <a title="ezone articles" href="http://ezinearticles.com/">submit your article </a>to recognized “Article Submit” sites on the Internet.</p>
<p>STEP 4) Publishers of online newsletters, ezines, etc. gather content from these sites for free.</p>
<p>STEP 5) Helpful, well written articles are snapped up by thousands of publishers from all around the world.</p>
<p>STEP 6) The only condition is that they must publish the article with a functioning link to your site.</p>
<p>STEP 7) 300 people publish your article – you get 300 links back to your site.</p>
<p>Below are some FAQs about article writing that will help you write your articles and manage your campaign.</p>
<p>Q) What should I write about?</p>
<p>A) Write about what you know. Make sure it’s related to your business (so you can use the keywords you want to rank with) and helpful (so it gets published). For example, if you’re a manufacturer of industrial plastics, you might write an article – or series of articles – on how best to handle teflon tubing prior to installation. Once you get thinking about it, you’ll probably find there are hundreds of articles you could write that are helpful. You may even have some of them partly written already in your instruction manuals or installation guides, etc. Another good idea is to think of all the questions you get asked by customers and potential customers. These questions show you what people are interested in. If you write an article answering every one of these questions, you’ll get published, and you’ll also show yourself to be a credible expert. (You may even cut down phone support time!)</p>
<p>Q) How long should my article be?</p>
<p>A) The best articles are only as long as they need to be. Keep it short and sweet – there’s nothing wrong with a 400 word article. By the same token, if you need 1500 words to say all you need to say, that’s fine as well.</p>
<p>Q) What kind of writing should I use?</p>
<p>A) Simply write in a style that your audience will be comfortable with. If they’re from the old school, don’t write like I am. Don’t use contractions, don’t end sentences with prepositions, and don’t start sentences with “and” or “but”. But if they’re not old school, just use conversational English. In fact, the more of yourself you include in the article, the more engaging it will be. The key is to make it readable.</p>
<p>Q) Should I focus on keywords?</p>
<p>A) Yes! Yes! Yes! Any SEO website copywriter will tell you that just as you need to optimize your website for specific keywords, so too should you optimize your articles. If possible, turn keywords into links back to your site. And always try to include keywords in the headline and byline of your article. And don’t worry about being seen as Spam; if your article provides good quality information and guidance, it won’t be seen as spam by the search engines even when it’s very keyword rich.</p>
<p>Q) Where should I submit my article?</p>
<p>A) There are hundreds, if not thousands, of submit sites on the Internet. Too many to include here. Do a search for “article submit” and just find the ones that are most applicable to your industry and offer the most subscribers. Alternatively, you can purchase a list.</p>
<p>Q) Who will publish my article?</p>
<p>A) Generally people publish pre-written articles because they want “eyes on paper”. In other words, they want to generate traffic to their site. Helpful articles are one way of doing that. It also sets them up as credible authorities on a particular subject. And it develops customer loyalty. There are hundreds of thousands of companies (maybe even millions) publishing online newsletters, ezines, and article pages. No matter what your industry, you’re bound to find quite a few who are interested in what you have to say. In fact, once a few publishers recognise you as a good source of content, they keep coming back looking for more (and even email you asking if you can send them directly).</p>
<p>Q) How will I know when my article has been published?</p>
<p>A) As one of the conditions of publications, you can request that the publisher notifies you when they use your article. Of course, most don’t bother to do this, so it’s a good idea to set up a Google Alert (http://www.google.com/alerts) which notifies you when your URL has been published on a web page. Google doesn’t pick them all up, but it picks up a lot. Whenever you receive an alert, you make sure the article in unchanged and the link back to your site is functioning.</p>
<p>Q) Will the publisher change my article?</p>
<p>A) No, generally not. Changing articles is just extra work. In fact, that’s why publishers like good articles and consistent content providers – because that means they don’t have to do any extra work. I’ve had many articles published, and don’t recall a single instance of an article being changed without my permission. If you’re worried about it, you can include an instruction not to change the article in your conditions of publication.</p>
<p>Q) Can I get an SEO copywriter to write and submit my articles?</p>
<p>A) Yes. Any SEO copywriter should be able to write keyword rich articles and submit them to a number of high traffic article submit sites.</p>
<p>Q) What kind of information would I need to supply an SEO copywriter to write my article?</p>
<p>A) You’d need to tell your SEO copywriter something like, “We want to write an article which helps people install teflon tubing. The kinds of people who’d be doing it are… They’d be doing it because… The benefits of our tubing are… The difficulties they’d face are… Here are the key steps to successful installation…” Using this information, your SEO copywriter should be able to put together a very readable article which would be bound to get published.</p>
<p>Q) Will my reputation suffer if my article appears on a dodgy site?</p>
<p>A) It shouldn’t. Most dodgy sites will be either unrelated or have very low traffic. If the site is unrelated, the publisher won’t go to the effort of publishing your article. If it’s related but has very low traffic, very few people will see your article there anyway. And besides, even if your article appears on a dodgy site, it probably won’t be changed because – dodgy or not – publishers don’t create extra work for themselves. So your original presentation, content, and intent will be unaffected. Write  good articles, and it always reflects well on you, no matter where they are published.</p>
