wow.. flipping back and forth made me have much respect for the S-Spline XL algorithm.

Still though, can't beat the original, obviously.

I took a failing Macbook HDD, attached it to the PCB of an external HDD enclosure. Placed it into an antistatic bag, wrapped that in kitchen towel roll and placed all into a ziplock bag (removing as much air as possible with a straw).

Froze for 8 hours.

Removed and connected whilst rotating (just holding HDD connected to circuit board, not placing in enclosure). It took many attempts at removing USB and reconnecting USB to mac. Eventually worked and let me pull off data for nearly an hour (was still working when I shutdown the mac).

Freakin miracle.

[...] I was just looking through the network security part of an IT Textbook that high schools are currently using and noticed the dodgy security information it was giving. The textbook recommends using WEP encryption to “secure the network” , hiding the network’s name (SSID) and filtering MAC addresses; and goes on to explain why you should use these multiple methods of “security” together.
Windows Media Player 12 is great at first glance BUT they took away advanced features like the tag editor. I have also been forced to rebuild my library several times. I find I use a combo of Zune, Windows Media Player, MP3 Tag and Media Center to interact with my MP3s. I would perfer it was only two - a player with a good tag editor and a Media Center.

Thank you for this. The annoying UAC is one thing... but this.. I did not think it was possible to disable this prompt at all. This is great.

They must be thinking they can get a pretty decent profit. Otherwise, I don't see why they would make this purchase.
