Posting to TikTok, Wendy Adriaens, known on the app as wendy_adriaens shared a clip of herself and one of her pet ostich's locked in an embrace.

The video begins with the Adriaens, who calls herself "The Ostrich Whisperer" standing in a muddy enclosure, holding aloft a large white blanket.

The huge bird can be seen walking towards her, before the camera cuts to her sat down and the animal lowering itself to sit opposite.

Adriaens, who is from Wuustwezel, Belgium then, edges closer, pulling the bird into an hug as the animal rests its long neck on her shoulder and she adorably strokes it.

He didn’t think that this kind gesture would result at some point in the hungry dog being one of around 80 street dogs he now monitors and care for every single day. Noticing that she was only one of countless local dogs in serious need of nutrition, he turned his canine compassion into a powerful passion project.
