Hollywood Director, Lee Daniels: " I Hate White People Writing For Black People" Statement

'Empire' Director, Lee Daniels has a lot to say. Well, not really because he's been making his voice known about the issue of racism in Hollywood for quite some time. Remember when Daniels defended Terrence Howard against the criticism he had received over past allegations of domestic violence? In doing so, Daniels brought up similar allegations about Sean Penn and hit a sore spot with Penn. So sore, he filed a $10 million defamation lawsuit against Daniels. Since then the lawsuit has been dropped. Daniels penned an apology and donated an undisclosed amount to Penn's J/P Haitian Relief Organization.

Oh, but no... Daniels does it again! This time is no exception. Daniels continues to blast racism in Hollywood.

Here it is...

On Daniels’ Instagram page where he posted a video of himself sitting on his couch with sunglasses on, as he vented about racism in Hollywood is where it all started. “Hollywood has tendency to think that African-American directors and writers are lucky to just be working and that we should just take any scrap that’s given to us and make gold from it. No, we’re artists, just like the white artists. I’ll probably get a lot of flack from this … ” Daniels said. “Change is a coming I hope!”

This isn’t the first time that Daniels has spoken on how tough it is in the industry to get jobs for Black writers and actors, as well as how difficult it is for him to try and watch white writers write about the Black experience.

“I don’t know what gives me more pleasure: watching my story unfold or going in and watching a room full of black people talking for me and writing words for black people,” Daniels said. “I hate white people writing for black people; it’s so offensive. So we go out and look specifically for African-American voices. Yes, it’s all about reverse racism!”

Mercy Ministries, a Christian based mental health treatment facility was founded in 2009 by Nancy Alcorn and funded by wealthy evangelical donors around the country including gospel singer CeCe Winans, Joyce Meyers, and Los Angeles Rams coach Jeff Fisher. There are countless stories of patients seeking mental health treatment at Mercy Ministries. It is said that the patients were forbidden from taking prescribed medications like Xanax and Adderall, and instead were prayed over, told to surrender to God, asked to read and respond to Christian texts and the founder’s own writings, as well as being yelled at to try and exorcise demons from their bodies.

The real question here is: Why are Christian celebrities like Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyers, and CeCe Winans supporting this heathen organization? That question is way over due for an answer.

The founder of Mercy Ministries, Nancy Alcon states that there were three principles to which she must always remain faithful: One – accept girls free of charge, two – always give at least 10 percent of all donations to other organizations and ministries, and three – do not take any state or federal funding or any money that interferes with the freedom to share Christ.

Since then, Mercy has provided a free-of-charge, voluntary Christian residential program that serves a diverse population of young women ages 13-28 from various socioeconomic backgrounds who are struggling with life-controlling issues such as eating disorders, self-harm, drug and alcohol addictions, depression, unplanned pregnancy and physical and sexual abuse.

Alcon knew that there were three principles to which she must always remain faithful: One – accept girls free of charge, two – always give at least 10 percent of all donations to other organizations and ministries, and three – do not take any state or federal funding or any money that interferes with the freedom to share Christ.Mercy reports that for every dollar raised nearly 85 percent is spent on direct program expenses.

So, what's the Gospel Singer, CeCe Winans statement on why she funds Mercey Ministries annually? Well, Winans said this: "With the dysfunction of families, children having babies, rampant sexual abuse, and the lack of morality, it is difficult to see any hope for young women to have self-esteem and grow in wholeness. Mercy Ministries is not afraid to deal with the ugly, tough stuff—sexual abuse, cutting, starvation. Nancy and her Mercy Ministries team get to the core issues. If you have a daughter, work with girls, or are a young woman struggling with these issues. . . you want to hear what Nancy has to say. It is sure to change your life."

Message to CeCe Winans and others, we are calling you out for supporting such uneducated and unethical Mental Health Organization, Mercy Ministries. Stop supporting this organization. It's folks like you that patients ends up worse than before because you fund this trash called, Mercy Ministries every year, so YES you too are to blame! The current and past patients of Mercy Ministries needs educated and professional help! Not to be prayed over, or scripture read....they need HELP!!!

No matter how many times we try to spread the word about mental illness, there still seems to be a lack of understanding. Especially among church people. Why don't these ignorant church folks understand that, YOU CANNOT PRAY AWAY MENTAL ILLNESSES! Mental illness should be taken seriously. Mental health counseling isn't just a field that you can jump and hop into. So why are there an enormous amount of uneducated Christian folks without degrees practicing mental health?

Mercy Ministries, a Christian based mental health treatment facility was founded in 2009 by Nancy Alcorn and funded by wealthy evangelical donors around the country including gospel singer CeCe Winans, Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam, and Los Angeles Rams coach Jeff Fisher. There are countless stories of patients seeking mental health treatment at Mercy Ministries, like Haley Baker. Baker and so many others were forbidden from taking prescribed medications like Xanax and Adderall, and instead were prayed over, told to surrender to God, asked to read and respond to Christian texts and the founder’s own writings, as well as being yelled at to try and exorcise demons from their bodies.

Christian counseling, as it has become known in the mental health field, has represented a tricky topic for public health policy officials as groups like Mercy Ministries now known as Mercy Multiplied have boomed in recent years. The American Association of Christian Counselors had some 15,000 registered members in 1999, and now counts nearly 50,000, according to the report. Many of the faith-based programs are unregulated, and operate shelter-like facilities that aren’t required to have staff certified in mental health training. Some patients have said the therapies really do work. Out of about 10 percent of Mercy’s patients who answered a survey about their time at a Mercy facility, 94 percent said the ministry transformed their life and restored their hope, while 85 percent said they were well-adjusted to life after the program.

For Haley Baker, the unregulated Christian counseling centers were dangerous to her fragile mental health. Her anxiety and depression returned after her stay at Mercy Ministries, and she continues to struggle with daily tasks like holding down a job. After six years of leaving Mercy Ministries, Baker stills struggles with mental illness.

For reasons mentioned above, Baker and others wants to drag Mercy’s transgressions into the light. In the years since her time at the Mercy's Lincoln facility, Baker has connected with a group of Mercy alumnae, their families, and former staff. They call themselves the “Mercy Survivors,” and since 2009 they have communicated through two private email lists.

Mercy Ministries had taught Baker the dangers of having too much hope and too much belief, not in God, she says, but in other people. These days, she believes that she alone without regular therapy, Christian counselors, or Jesus must forge her way forward.

Those with an agenda may seek out an empath and use him/her to get ahead, satisfy their own desires, or gain a certain image or status. It’s common for an empath to end up in a relationship that leads to feeling drained and used. Educate yourself. Stay inform. Learn their behavior.

Vulnerable Narcissists

A vulnerable narcissist is typically very sensitive. They tend to be shy or quiet by nature to disguise their own feelings of self-hatred and unhappiness. They often overcompensate by putting on a mask and playing a character that is completely different from how they’re actually feeling. They want to feel special and put their own feelings above others. They are primarily motivated by the fear of rejection and abandonment. A vulnerable narcissist doesn’t authentically love or care for anyone, and they use emotional manipulation as a tool to gain sympathy and attention from others.

Invulnerable Narcissist

An invulnerable narcissist is highly self-confident, cold and has no sympathy for others. They seek power, recognition and pleasure above anything else. They often believe themselves to be superior to everyone else, and they have an inner need to make sure that everyone knows it. An invulnerable narcissist craves power and doesn’t care who they step on in order to get ahead.

The Compensatory Narcissist

This type of narcissist is driven by a past trauma. They love to create larger-than-life illusions of themselves and their achievements in order to gain power and control. They tend to hunt out those who are emotionally vulnerable, hoping they will serve as an audience to their games. Compensatory narcissists are often extremely sensitive to criticism, and their tools of choice are emotional abuse and manipulation.

The Elitist Narcissist

An elitist narcissist will do anything to get to the top. They want to win and be in control of others. They believe that they are better than everyone else, so they deserve special treatment. They have a clear sense of entitlement that can be seen in all aspects of their lives. This type of person is a bragger and a one-upper with a need to be the best and prove that they are superior in every way.

The Malignant Narcissist

Malignant narcissists show similar behavior to a psychopath or someone with antisocial personality disorder. They have no boundaries when it comes to moral versus immoral behavior, and they feel no remorse for their actions. They are often arrogant and enjoy outsmarting others. This type of narcissist can easily become dangerous.

When people hear about gays in the black church they automatically think it's the "gay black man". When in fact, it is the number of lesbians in the black church that's alarming. Many failed to believe the amount of lesbians that's in black churches, from the pastor's wife on down. Don't believe me? So, wives of most pastors are mostly lesbians, the usher, the Sunday school teacher, and so forth.
Lesbianism is just as bad as gay men in the black church, but society treats as if lesbianism doesn't exist in the church. Why is this? Is it because the "gay black man" is more noticeable because of his feminine ways? Is it because the black community stigmatize the male choir director or musician as the gay ones?

The Forbidden Topic: Depression In The Bible

Do you know someone that struggles with depression? Do you know the signs of depression? Most importantly, did you know that you can be saved and still suffer from depression? Surprisingly, the church today aren't able to answer most of these. Depression is real. Don't allow even church folks to deny the help you may need if you suffer from depression. They can be the worst when it comes to mental illness. You can’t just pray away these things. It takes prayer, professional help, and support to get through a mental illness such as depression.

Did you know that the word "depression" was demonstrated throughout the Bible. Though the Bible doesn’t use the word “depression” except in a few translations and verses, it’s often referenced by other similar words, such as “downcast,” “brokenhearted,” “troubled,” “miserable,” “despairing,” and “mourning,” among others. Throughout the Word, there are a number of stories about godly, influential men and women of faith, who struggled and battled through dark times of hopelessness and depression.

David was troubled and battled deep despair.

In many of the Psalms, he writes of his anguish, loneliness, fear of the enemy, his heart-cry over sin, and the guilt he struggled with because of it. We also see his huge grief in the loss of his sons in 2 Samuel 12:15-23 and 18:33. In other places, David’s honesty with his own weaknesses gives hope to us who struggle today:“My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear.” Ps. 38:4 “Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.” Ps. 42:11

Elijah was discouraged, weary, and afraid.

After great spiritual victories over the prophets of Baal, this mighty man of God feared and ran for his life, far away from the threats of Jezebel. And there in the desert, he sat down and prayed, defeated and worn: “I have had enough Lord, he said. Take my life, I am not better than my ancestors.” 1 Kings 19:4

Jonah was angry and wanted to run away.

After God called Jonah to go to Nineveh to preach to the people, he fled as far away as could. And after a storm at sea, being swallowed by a giant fish, and then being saved and given a second chance, he obeyed. He preached God’s message to the people of Nineveh. God’s mercy reached out to all people who turned to Him. But instead of rejoicing, Jonah got mad: “Now O Lord, take away my life, for it is better for me to die than to live.” Jonah 4:3. And even after God reached out to Jonah again with great compassion, he responded, “…I am angry enough to die.” Jonah 4:9.

Job suffered through great loss, devastation, and physical illness.

This righteous man of God lost literally everything. So great was his suffering and tragedy that even his own wife said, “Are you still holding on to your integrity? Curse God and die!” Job 2:9. Though Job maintained his faithfulness to God throughout his life, he still struggled deeply through the trenches of pain: “Why did I not perish at birth, and die as I came from the womb?” Job 3:11.“I have no peace, no quietness, I have no rest, but only turmoil.” Job 3:26. “I loathe my very life, therefore I will give free rein to my complaint and speak out in the bitterness of my soul.” Job 10:1. “Terrors overwhelm me…my life ebbs away, days of suffering grip me. Night pierces my bones, my gnawing pains never rest.” Job 30:15-17.

Moses was grieved over the sin of his people.

In his feelings of anger and betrayal from his own people, Moses, as a leader, was about ready to quit. He came down from his mountaintop experience with God, commandments in hand, only to find the Israelites in complete chaos and sin. His heart-cry to God on their behalf was desperate: “But now, please forgive their sin – but if not, then blot me out of the book you have written.” Ex. 32:32

Jeremiah wrestled with great loneliness, feelings of defeat, and insecurity.

Also known as the weeping prophet, Jeremiah suffered from constant rejection by the people he loved and reached out to. God had called him to preach, yet forbidden him to marry and have children. He lived alone, he ministered alone, he was poor, ridiculed, and rejected by his people. In the midst of it, he displayed great spiritual faith and strength, and yet we also see his honesty as he wrestled with despair and a great sense of failure: “Cursed be the day I was born…why did I ever come out of the womb to see trouble and sorrow and to end my days in shame?” Jer. 20:14,18

Jesus Himself was deeply anguished over what lay before Him.

He knew what was to come. He knew that God had called him to a journey of great suffering; he knew what must happen in order for us to live truly free. Our Savior and Lord was willing to pay the price on our behalf, but it wasn’t an easy road. Isaiah prophesied that Christ would be "a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief." Is. 53:3. We can be assured, that in whatever we face, Jesus understands our weakness and suffering, our greatest times of temptation and despair, because he too traveled that road, yet without sin. In the garden, through the night, Jesus prayed, all alone, calling out to His Father, asking Him for another way: “And He said to them, 'My soul is deeply grieved to the point of death; remain here and keep watch.' And He went a little beyond them, and fell to the ground and began to pray that if it were possible, the hour might pass Him by. And He was saying, 'Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will.'" Mark 14:34-36. The Bible says that so great was his anguish, that he sweat “drops of blood.” Luke 22:44

Have you ever heard of a gay Muslim? Probably not. Muslims are firm believers of their faith and being a homosexual often times means death. Unlike the enormous amount of "gay Christians," Muslims believe that having unnatural tendencies for the same sex is horrific where those who confessed to be gay in some countries were condemned to the death penalty. Although we are against homosexuality, we pray for the protection of Nur Warsame and others just like him. Not everyone agrees with the homosexual agenda, then again violence should never be the answer just because you disagree with another person's sexuality.

An Australian imam has come out as gay, becoming the first such religious leader in his country to be publicly out. Nur Warsame decided to come out despite homophobic elements within conservative Muslim communities.Warsame is a respected leader in the Australian Muslim community and has served his faith for decades. Still, regardless of the good favor he has curried, coming out was anything but easy for him. Warsame says, “Reconciling spirituality with sexuality is a very difficult journey.

“The reason it’s difficult for people to come out in the Muslim world or Islamic communities is because the losses are too high, the risks are too great, I mean there is even a risk to your life because the conservative school of thought in Islam to counter homosexuality is to be killed, that’s your repentance.“When I decided to do this, I really analysed and thought carefully of the consequences.

“The idea is to make avenues and paths for other young queer Muslims to live their lives to the fullest and to hold on to their spirituality. My intentions are to try to make a difference in Muslim homes.”

In Somalia where Nur comes from and in much of the Islamic world, being gay is illegal and punishable by imprisonment at the very least. In at least seven Muslim countries homosexuality still carries the death penalty. Many Australian Muslims are also against homosexuality.“I can’t see the future or what’s going to happen however there is that element of extremism in our community so I am very cautious and I’m not one who’s easily intimidated,” says Nur.

Former NFL defensive lineman Dana Stubblefield has been charged with raping a developmentally disabled woman in his home, the Santa Clara Deputy District Attorney said.The alleged attack happened in April of 2015, according to prosecutor Tim McInerny.

Authorities say Stubblefield, 45, used the caretaker placement service sittercity.com to arrange an interview for a babysitter. Before the interview, Stubblefield told the alleged victim that he would pay her for the gas, mileage and time it took her to come to the interview. But officials said that when the 31-year old woman forgot to get the $80 he promised, Stubblefield texted her to return to his home to collect the money. According to McInerny, the sexual assault occurred when the woman went back to Stubblefield's house.

"This was a crime of violence against a vulnerable victim," McInerny said in a press release. "She was looking for a job and she was unconscionably assaulted." The victim left Stubblefield's house and went directly to Morgan Hill Police to report the alleged assault. She underwent a SART exam -- sexual assault response team exam, which is an evidentiary medical exam conducted in sexual assault cases.

A crime lab confirmed DNA obtained from the victim matched that of Stubblefield. An attorney for Stubblefield said the allegations being made against his client are false and fraudulent.

Stubblefield spent 11 years in the NFL, playing most of that time for the San Francisco 49ers. He also played for the Washington Redskins and the Oakland Raiders. He was a three-time Pro Bowler and the 1993 NFL defensive rookie of the year.

Bail has been set at $250,000. Stubblefield could face up to 16 years in state prison if convicted.

Now, we are aware that most people will argue and say they were born gay and/or their gayness can't be reverse. Well, I'm here to tell you that the devil is a lie! There's no where in the Holy Bible God has ordained two men to fall in love with one another and live as a married couple. Absolutely not! No matter how much the gay community rejoice in their new found freedom; deep down inside, every gay person knows that God isn't pleased with their lifestyle. Steps on how to overcome the homosexual bondage:

1. Join a good Bible based church.

2. Pray and ask God for an intimate relationship with Him.

3. Read the Word daily. *Note*-Mornings are the most sacred with God.

4. Pray daily.

5.Worship Him daily.

6. Ask God to reveal to you the origin of your hurt and pain .

7. When God grant your request and reveals to you where your hurt comes from; pray for forgiveness, bitterness, and to be set free from that strong hold.

8. Seek a mentor. Pray and ask God to send you someone who has went through similar situations as you.

9. Seek His face daily.

10. Ask God for patience, understanding, and revelation.

11. Pray without ceasing!

Kirk Cameron is making a lot of folks upset. The ‘Growing Pain’ actor is making headlines over his recent comment, that wives should be submissive to their husbands. Cameron and his wife have only been married for 25 years. So why on earth would someone take advice from what some may describe as a young couple? Where are the experienced and wise couples that have been married for 50 years or over? We’d rather take advice from the latter versus some Hollywood actor.

Anyway, here’s what Cameron said…

Cameron said during his interview; 'A lot of people don't know that marriage comes with instructions. And, we find them right there in God's word.' He went on to offer advice to husband as well, mainly that they should not argue with their wives when they gave disagreements because it hurts both parties. Cameron also said it make it difficult for their children to go on and have healthy relationships. 'Thinking that you are going to win an argument, you end up losing. It's a no-win situation,' said Cameron. 'In order for you to win, your husband or wife has to lose. When they lose, you have not built up your marriage. You have really cut them down. 'When couples start arguing and fighting in front of the kids, dad cuts mom and mom cuts dad and the kids bleed. They see that and it damages them. When the kids get to marriage, they will follow patterns that they see.'

Christians aren't perfect. Once you become saved, your primary goal is to strive to make it into heaven, but some Christians take it too far. They get delivered from their past life now they feel as if they can tell others what to do. We must stay away from these narcissistic type of Christians. They do more harm than good to the body of Christ.

Four ways to recognize an arrogant Christian:

They think they're the only one "saved"
This type of Christian is beyond arrogant. They're judgmental and quotes every scripture in the Bible. They think they can tell others how to live their lives when in reality they are doing just enough to get by. They're usually mean and unapproachable people. Stay away from this type of Christian.

They think their denomination are the"truthful" ones
This type of Christian is ignorant in every way. They often criticize other denominations as if they're wrong and their's right. They are usually stuck up and stuck in their ways. And they rather follow some pastor than to read the Bible for themselves. They go to church every Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, and Sunday night, but still carry around the same hateful demon they never got rid of. Attending church is just another event to them.

Bragging
This type of Christian half listens. They will over-talk you, bombard you, blackmail you, and so forth. What they have to say is far more important than what you have to say. They make comments like: my pastor is better than yours, my church does this and that, and I am the Youth President at my church...Stay away from this type of Christian because once church scandals come out, they're the first one to leave and talk about it.

Entitlement
Christians who have been pampered all their lives carry this attitude into churches. Then again, Christians who have struggled all their lives can also feel entitled and bring this NPD into the church. Stay away from these type of Christians. They create havoc within the church. They will go out of their way to get what they want. Narcissism to the finest is what we called this type of Christian.

For those that believe that they were born gay I'm sorry, but this article isn't for you. For those of you that believe that your homosexual thoughts, tendencies, and/or behavior is beyond any scientific findings, then yes, this article is definitely for you. When it comes to the homosexual topic, folks tend to express their feelings wholeheartedly and that's exactly what we want here.

So let's get to the point...

What if we told you that your "gayness" ( tendencies, thoughts, feelings, behavior) comes from the effects of a narcissistic mother, father, and/or guardian. Just to put it out there, a child(ren) can have homosexual thoughts even if both parents are in the home.Yep, but we'll save that topic for some other time.

Just think about,A narcissistic mother who was unloving, not nurturing, and verbally abusive to her children will produce a child that later becomes gay. It's true! It's simple: What you lack when you were a child, you will continue to lack as you enter adulthood, until the root issue is dealt with.

The effects on a child who was raised by a narcissistic parent :

1. The child lacks the attention from one or both parents.

2. The child unintentionally becomes attracted to the same sex and seeks companionship and friendships from the same sex.

3. The child seeks for mother and/or father figures when meeting others.

4. The young adult child seeks validation from others of the same-sex.

5. The young adult child lacks self-confidence because he/she still yearns for a relationship with the narcissistic parent.

6. The adult child may suffer from anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts.

7. The adult child separates from his/her family because of unresolved issues.

8. The adult child has difficulty building new relationships.

9. The adult child wonders if God is real or not due to the extreme capacity of anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts.

10. The adult child continues to be manipulative by their narcissistic parent, which still makes it difficult to deal with their "gayness", even though deep down inside the child wants to be freed from the homosexual spirit.

Sheila E., long time friend of Prince said he was in a lot of pain from a hip injury and he took prescription medicine. She was also asked if she thought she knew how he died and she stated yes but stated she would rather not share.

Prince was suffering from AIDS before being found dead last week and had refused treatment because he believed he could be cured by prayer, it has been claimed. The Purple Rain singer, who was a Jehovah's Witness, was diagnosed with the crippling condition just six months before he passed away, sources told the news outlet.

A source, who was not identified by the Enquirer, said: 'Doctors told Prince his blood count was unusually low and that his body temperature had dropped dangerously below the normal 98.6 degrees to 94 degrees. 'He was totally iron-deficient, very weak and often disoriented. He rarely ate and when he did, it all came right back up. 'His face was yellowish, the skin on his neck was hanging off and the tips of fingers were a brownish-yellow.' This comes as sources close to the investigation into the singer's death claimed that he had prescription painkillers in his possession when he died.

CNN reported that the pain-killing substance was found on Prince while the Star Tribune in Minneapolis reported that prescription pills were found where the musician died at the age of 57 last week at his home in suburban Minneapolis. Prince was diagnosed with HIV back in the 1990s, but that developed into AIDS toward the end of last year. The Enquirer goes on to claim that the singer became addicted to opiate medication Percoet that he was using to dull the pain he was suffering in his last months of life.

A statement by those close to Prince following his death said he died of influenza, an infection that would likely have proved fatal if his immune system had been decimated by AIDS.

GEICO, or the Government Employee’s Insurance Company, is now a well-known car insurance brand with well-known advertising figures. But before the Gecko, the Caveman or Maxwell, GEICO was the idea of Leo Goodwin. Working as an accountant in San Antonio, Texas, in the 1930’s, Goodwin realized that insurance needed an overhaul. Why weren’t companies just dealing with customers directly, saving all the money that traditionally went to brokers?

In 1936, at the age of 50, Leo founded GEICO in Washington, D.C. In a departure from most businessmen of the day, he worked closely with his wife Lillian in running the company. 2. Harland David Sanders, Kentucky Fried Chicken

Col. Sanders did not start out as anyone’s idea of a successful businessman. However, he was determined to never give up, and this trait led to his eventual success.

3. Robert Noyce, Intel

After earning his doctorate in physics from MIT, Robert Noyce found work as a research engineer, eventually ending up at Beckman Instruments. In 1957, he and seven others left Beckman and founded the Fairchild Semiconductor Corporation. While he enjoyed some success there, he eventually left with Gordon Moore. Together, they founded Intel when Noyce was 41.

Noyce was considered the visionary of the company and treated staff like family. He declined the lavish benefits that most CEOs received, and kept the company less structured and more relaxed. While at Intel, he oversaw the invention of the microprocessor, an innovation that revolutionized computer technology and forms the foundation of the machines we still use today.

4. Reid Hoffman, LinkedIn

Surely a company like LinkedIn, a major social network, was founded by a youngster, right? Not at all! Reid Hoffman struggled with what to do after he graduated from Stanford. He decided to work, but to do so strategically, mapping out a plan of what he would need to learn before he started his own company.

When he first started on his own, he founded a networking site called Socialnet, believing that having a great matching algorithm would guarantee success. He tried advertising his new site through magazines and newspapers, but never found traction with the idea. In the end, he left and joined PayPal before leaving his position with the company in 2002 to co-found LinkedIn. Hoffman was 35 when he founded the company and 43 when it went public.

5. Wally Blume, Denali Flavors

If the thought of tomato-flavored ice cream turns your stomach, you’re not alone. Wally Blume had a successful 20-year career, but knew he had to move on when his boss decided to move forward with that crazy idea. In 1995, in his mid-50s, he started his own ice cream company, Denali Flavors, where he created the famous Moose Tracks flavor.

6. Carol Gardner, Zelda Wisdom

When was the last time you borrowed money? Were you convicted when you asked to borrow money from these corporate companies? I mean, the Bible does say that we are lenders not borrowers, but does that disqualify us to borrow when needed? Well, some Christians in 30 states from Alabama to Wyoming say it’s a sin to lend money to someone who can’t afford to pay it back. Most want the government to protect consumers from loans with excessive interest, although one in six Christians has taken out such a loan. And more say their own experience (28%) rather than the Bible (9%) has informed how they see payday lending.

Those are among the findings of a new online survey of Christians’ views of payday lending from LifeWay Research. The Nashville-based research firm surveyed 1,000 self-identified Christians in 30 states, all of which have little or no regulation of payday loans.

Most Christians find payday loans impractical and morally questionable, said Scott McConnell, vice president of LifeWay Research. But many seem unaware that the Bible addresses lending practices. “Ask people if charging high interest is wrong, and they’ll say yes,” McConnell said. “They forget the Bible calls it ‘usury’ and condemns it as sinful.”

They continued to say that Christians are no strangers to payday loans. Overall, 17 percent of Christians have taken payday loans, including 20 percent of Protestants and 12 percent of Catholics. Half of African American Christians (49%) and a quarter of Hispanic Christians (24%) say they’ve taken out a payday loan.

Most believe taking advantage of borrowers is sinful. But few say payday loans are immoral. Three-quarters (77%) of Christians say it’s sinful to lend money in a way that harms the borrower financially. They also describe payday loans as “expensive” (62%), “harmful” (37%), and “predatory” (33%). Still, more Christians say such loans are “helpful” (16%) than “immoral” (11%).

Last year, the American Library Association (ALA) fielded 275 formal challenges to materials in schools and libraries. Making the top 10 list of challenges for the first time: the Bible. The reason: “religious viewpoint". The ideological grounds for the religious book’s appearance on the 2015 Most Challenged List likely doesn’t tell the whole story, says James LaRue, who directs the ALA’s Office for Intellectual Freedom (OIF).

“You have people who feel that if a school library buys a copy of the Bible, it’s a violation of church and state,” LaRue told the Associated Press. “And sometimes there’s a retaliatory action, where a religious group has objected to a book and a parent might respond by objecting to the Bible.” Just because the Bible is challenged doesn’t mean that the ALA recommends its removal. The Bible “does not violate the separation of church and state as long as the library does not endorse or promote the views included” in it, the OIF states in its guidelines.

This isn’t the Bible’s first brush with banishment. “The Bible has been criticized, challenged, and banned by individuals, groups, and governments through centuries of persecution,” Bible Gateway general manager Rachel Barach told CT.

Ever heard the saying:' Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me'. Well, that's how the black community feels towards screenwriter, Shonda Rhimes. Don't know who Shonda Rhimes is? I'm glad you asked. Ms. Rhimes is a African American screenwriter, director, and producer. Rhimes is best known as the creator, head writer, executive producer and showrunner of the medical drama television series Grey's Anatomy, its spin-off Private Practice and political thriller series Scandal. In May 2007, Rhimes was named one of TIME magazine's 100 people who help shape the world. Rhimes was an executive producer for the medical drama series Off the Map which aired on ABC for one season in 2011. Recently, Rhimes serves as executive producer for ABC's new legal series How to Get Away with Murder, which debuted September 25, 2014.

The black community is very proud of Ms. Rhimes especially because she's an black woman that has broken the glass ceiling for African Americans in the television arena. Yes! We can not express how delightful we are of this. Although, the black community maybe joyous that a black woman has paved the way for other black people in the screenwriting industry, STILL there are questions that we would like to ask Ms. Rhimes.

Today, Shonda Rhimes is known in every black household in America as one of the most popular screenwriter . Sadly to say, you wouldn't be able to distinguish her ethnicity if we hadn't told you, because her shows discredit the black woman frequently. Don't quite understand what I'm saying?

Well, take a look at this...

Unknowingly, Shonda Rhimes was just coming on the screen when she wrote and produced Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice. The black community didn't know too much of Ms. Rhimes when these two shows aired. Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice, were both created of actors and actress racially diverse. For those reason alone, you are excused Shonda Rhimes. And shame on the black community for not knowing you prior to this. However, your shows Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder, we, the black community are not excusing you Shonda Rhimes. This is where the famous saying: 'fool me once, shame on you; fool twice, shame on me' comes in.

Shonda Rhimes continues to discredit the black woman as a ' professional educated 'whoremorger' woman that lacks morals and self-worth. The character Olivia Pope is perhaps the smartest and intellectually black woman portrayed on television, but this character displays 'home-wrecker' tendencies that breaks up happy homes and marriages. Why do this Ms. Rhimes? This may be the reason why the recent low TV ratings from Scandal. Anyway, Rhimes has the power to display the black woman as royalty, instead she decides to display the black woman as sidepieces. Shame on you Shonda Rhimes.

The same thing goes for How to Get Away with Murder. Rhimes, with the power and knowledge that she possess as a screenwriter continues to partnered the main character who is a black woman, with a Caucasian male. Again, shame on you Shonda Rimes. The black community is baffled with this continuous act from Ms. Rhimes and we aren't pleased with it.

Message to Shonda Rhimes: can you for once cease the utilizing of a color-blind casting technique, adding roles that glorify homosexual couples, and try utilizing an all black cast and stop downgrading the black woman. If you do this Shonda Rhimes, the black community will support your shows even more.

When it comes to Bill Cosby career, I think we all will agree that he did pretty well for himself (except the rape allegations). We couldn't help but notice the similarities between Steve Harvey and Bill Cosby. We know we aren't the only ones, but it's obvious that Steve Harvey is doing just about the same thing as Bill Cosby once did when he was much younger. In a conversation with someone, Comedian Steve Harvey discussed his list of mentors, naming Cosby as one. Harvey also stated that Cosby is going through tough times, but he still served as a sense of inspiration for those who came after him. To be exact, this is what Harvey said,"To be honest with you Bill Cosby taught me so much about this business and marketing...In spite of what he's going through right now, what he taught me back then has been valuable for me, I'll always love him for that." Well, that's proof that Harvey may have based his career off of Cosby's.

Let's go a little deeper, shall we...

Bill Cosby dropped out of college to become a stand up comedian. Steve Harvey also dropped out college to become a stand up comedian. Cosby had the "Cosby Show", Harvey had "The Steve Harvey Show". Cosby had "Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids" Harvey has "Little Big Shots". See the similarities?

You know the popular saying, 'As one falls, another one comes up'... that's the point we're trying to make here! For now, we'll just sit back and see how Steve Harvey career ends up. We're just hoping his legacy doesn't end up like Bill Cosby.

Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson ended their brief marriage last year, but after Johnson found out she was pregnant. Johnson gave birth to twin daughters last fall, but the babies were born four months premature and still require extensive medical care. Griner agreed earlier this month to give financial support to the girls, according to Bossip.com. Griner appeared in Maricopa County (Arizona) Superior Court on April 14, via telephone, and agreed to pay $2,516 per month beginning on May 1. The child support is part of a larger settlement package the pair agreed to in an Arizona court last week, according to Bossip.

Court records obtained by Bossip show Griner's annual inncome to be $1.1 million among her $100,000 WNBA salary, her income from Russian team UMMC Ekaterinburg and various endorsements. Griner has no biological ties to the children because the couple went to a fertility clinic, Griner's suspicions that Johnson became pregnant by cheating on her with Johnson's ex-boyfriend led to the couple's split. Police were called to their home last April and both were arrested on domestic violence charges.

Griner was also ordered to pay Johnson $8,505 in child support arrears, and has to pay 90 percent of childcare costs with two nannies and a monthly expense of $2,835.

My mother is the oldest girl out of nine children who was raised in a single parent home by my grandmother. When my mother was six years old, her father died in a car accident. One could only imagine the devastation and impact that a child at the age of my mother could've experienced due to the sudden death of her father.

My grandfather's death trigger the narcissistic behavior that my mother suffers with today. My mother emotions were involuntary disruptive because the death of her father, which in-turn caused her to later become emotionally abusive towards her children. Emotional abuse from a parent occurs when the parent tries to fulfill those needs that normally should have been filled during a healthy childhood and adolescence.

Below are characteristics of an emotional abusive parent...

1.Making the child/teen feel responsible for the parent feelings.
2.Threatening them in general.
3.Threatening them specifically with rejection or abandonment.
4. Threatening them with vague, unstated consequences.
5. Using force upon them. Invalidating their feelings.
6.Laying undeserved guilt on them.
7. Placing undeserved blame on them.
8. Dominating the conversations.
9. Refusing to apologize.
10. Always needing to have the last word..
11 Judging or rejecting their friends.

Black Christian Couple Who Were Beaten, Forgive Sons

When Satan has a hold on your children you can't no longer do anything yourself, but give it to God!
What would you have done if your child tried to kill you? Will you be so forgiving? Well, one couple was!

Here it is...

A Snellville, Georgia couple, who was beaten by their sons in an attempt to kill them, told reporters on Friday they forgive their sons. Yvonne and Zachary Ervin left the jail where their sons, 22-year-old Christopher and 17-year-old Cameron Ervin, are being held. When they walked out, they briefly spoke with reporters. "We have unconditional love and forgiveness for our sons and we just want the world to understand that," said Yvonne Ervin. "The believers will understand that."

Yvonne Ervin, called 911 and said her sons were trying to kill both her and her husband.
In the 911 call, Ervin said her sons drugged them with Xanax, choked and beat her. She said her husband was in the garage trying to distract them and gain attention from neighbors by blowing the car horn.When the 911 operator asked why her sons would have done this, she said possibly for the insurance money. At the end of the call, you can hear her sons enter the room she was in. She made a sound and then the call was disconnected. When officers arrived on the scene, they found Zachary Ervin severely injured and bleeding heavily. Yvonne was also seriously injured. "Those were not our boys who did that to us. We did not raise our boys that way," said Yvonne Ervin. "We understand there are consequences for what they did, they understand that, but we're just praying that the world forgives them the same way that we forgive them."

When asked how they could forgive them, Zachary Ervin said, "It's all for the glory of God. God's going to be glorified in this situation so what we just need you guys to know is we're not going to sit up here and answer to 'why' as it doesn't matter. It's all for the glory of God. But we forgive our sons and we love them unconditionally and we had to make sure that they understand that." Christopher and Cameron Ervin are being held at the Gwinnett County Detention Center and are facing charges of aggravated assault and 1st degree arson.
