We're hoping to present a festival of Percy Grainger's work at The Sage Gateshead in the UK, and I'm looking for Theremin players who would be able to perform some of his work for the instrument.

I look forward to hearing from you if you are willing and able!
Best
on www.etheremin.com, i've created a new webpage dedicated to unpublished theremin scores. Some scores can be download for free.
Anyone that has composed or arranged something can post his score and decide on a price for it.

The idea is just to collect what's been written for the theremin, so that theremin players have an easy access to those scores.

Check it out !! http://www.etheremin.com/theremin/partitions.html

Correct spelling of his last name is WHITELEY. I have letters from him dated back to 1978 with the heading printed. My home, Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada was his home and we became friends until he died. His brother's family still live here. I have photos, programs etc from Musaire in my files and am currently writing a story about him for the Seniors Advocate in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It is basically a brief biog of his life. Musaire and I met when I was only 14 and working backstage at the Theatre Royal in Stockport, England, wghen Musaire topped the variety bill for the week.
He was a fine man who spent his after performing years helping young entertainers and working for the Music Hall Society. Were you aware that the Queen once called him on the phone to invite him to Buckingham Palace?
CORRECTION RE SCHILLINGER'S COMPOSITIONS

Study of those compositions--some of which he used as examples in his course (and were published in the posthumous "System") reveals that he did use his "system" or approach when composing.

THE NIGHT TERRORS EUROPEAN TOUR 2010

Spawned from the festering miasma of the Melbourne underground scene, The Night Terrors' theremin-fueled electro-noise has been petrifying punters since the year 2000. The Terrors' formula of soaring theremin, thunderous metal-bass, breakneck drumming and vintage horror synth has earnt them a reputation as one of Australia's most unusual and original bands.

Featuring a completely instrumental lineup, with lead melodies handled by the dexterous theremin playing of Miles Brown (a student of Russian theremin queen Lydia Kavina) The Night Terrors offer a mind-melting alternative to the standard instrumental / postrock formula. No vocals, no guitars, just theremin, synth, bass and drums, this is mesmerising, other-worldly, spine-tingling psychedelic synth-centric electro rock.

The Night Terrors have shared the stage with Lou Reed (USA), Laurie Anderson (USA), Boris (JPN), Bardo Pond (USA), Melt-Banana (JPN), Marc Ribot (USA), Nick Oliveri (USA), Electric Electric (FR), Dope Stars Inc. (IT), Faderhead (IT), Midnight Juggernauts (AUS), HTRK (AUS), Devastations (AUS), HEIRS (AUS), Grey Daturas (AUS) and many more.

Following the release of two stellar EPs “The Night Terrors” and “Lightless” through Unstable Ape Records, The Night Terrors' debut full length album “Back To Zero” was released in April 2009 through Australian label EXO Records. "Back To Zero" will be reissued for release in Europe/USA/Japan through TRENDKILL Recordings (France) in September 2010.

I have been playing this theremin since late last December after playing the Etherwave standard for 11 years. I haven't played the Etherwave since then. It took about two weeks to make the transition to the horizontal plate antenna playing technique and another week to get as proficient at it as with the pole antenna techniques. It operates on a 9 volt battery and the battery life is 24 hours plus.

Would this guy have even considered doing this if he'd just bought a piano? I doubt it.
Anyone happen to know if any Moog designs were ever sold under any other brand names?

It is an exceedingly rare item. Mine has drifted out of tune. I was wondering if anyone happens to know the proper proceedure for tuning the coils?
